  • Font Capture:  PhotoShopServer.exe error - Application Error

I recently installed Premiere Elements 10 and, after a couple of days, I get the following error on OS boot:
Font Capture: PhotoShopServer.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x103ed4b3" referenced memory at "0x00000a74". The memory could not be "read".
PE _seems_ to work, but does some strange things from time to time.  I need to correct this error, and hope it resolves the strange PE behavior.  I've seen other postings of the same error in PhotoShop and Encore forums with no resolution.  Certainly someone at Adobe must know what causes this.  Thoughts, anyone?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

  • Font Capture: PhotoshopServer.exe - Application Error (PSE 10) Any suggestions?

Font Capture: PhotoshopServer.exe - Application Error (PSE 10) Any suggestions?

First, go to Windows Update and select the Custom option so that you can install ALL of the latest updates -- including the non-critical ones. This will ensure you also have important updated drivers and software updates.
Then, for good measure, I recommend running Advanced System Care Free on your system to give it a good tune-up. An XP computer is between 5 and 12 years old, and that's a lot of time to gather up a lot of junk and temp files.
    http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html
And of course ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple.com, per the program's requirements. And then go to the Help menu of any Adobe product and Check for Updates.
    Then reboot.
If that doesn't fix it, it sounds like you may have a corrupted font. But that may take some troubleshooting to determine.

  • Font Capture: InDesign.exe - Entry Point Not Found

I have had problems loading the CS5 suite with a network user using a mandatory profile.
I have finally get InDesign working for the most part by renaming file extensions on certain plug-ins. However when I try to load the program there is still an error message that appears:
When I hit OK to this message the program still loads OK.
Please advise how to rid of this message. Public.dll is located in  Renaming Public.dll to public.dll.old prevents the program from load so it must be an essential file.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kyle
    EDIT:
I have visited the following posts and have not helped but they are near enough the same problems I am having.
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/391755#3692165
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2873262#2873262
I also delete the user I am testing with delprof to stimulate the user logging on a new machine (this means profile cache fixes will not work here but still willing to try).

    Hi John,
I understand what you are saying with the javascript plugin that is why I got it to work by using version CS4 of the file. I have swapped it back to the CS5 version of the file but a Windows error report appears, in the details "mod name: support for javascript.rpln" for the restricted user with a mandatory profile. Tested with a domain admin however and the program loaded Ok so it would seem that is the problem we are dealing with.
    Screenshot of problem below:
InDesign in installed locally onto the computer on the C:\ drive. I have updated with this patch:

  • InCopy CS5 crashes with "Font Capture..." error

I've installed InCopy CS5 on my Windows XP machine but somehow something is going wrong with saving the preferences.
    I get an error:
Font Captur: InCopy.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "..." referenced memory at "...". The memory could not be "read".
I've done some searching and found this solution:
    1.     Quit InCopy.
    2.     Rename the InCopy Defaults file (for example, to InCopy Defaults .old) in the C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Adobe\InCopy\Version 7.0 folder.
    3.     Rename the InCopy SavedData file (for example, to InCopy SavedData .old) in the C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\InCopy\Version 7.0\Caches folder.
    4.     Start InCopy. InCopy creates a new preferences file.
But, this is only temporary, and has to be done every time when I want to work with IC.
Is there a permament solution for this problem?

That is a sign that your preference files are becoming corrupt. Something is wrong with your system if this is happening regularly.

  • Acrodist.exe version 9.0.0.332 application errors

We are running a Windows Server 2003 R2 server and are having trouble with Adobe Distiller. Below is the exact error we have:
Faulting application acrodist.exe, version 9.0.0.332, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4455, fault address 0x0001b404.
We are also getting the following. This is showing a information, not an error:

    Any ideas?

After some research I found some threads that pointed to fonts being an issue. I changed the following:
Ignore True Type versions of standard PostScript fonts
Do not send fonts to "Adobe PDF"
The issue seems to have been resolved.

  • Font Capture application error

I've just bought Adobe CS5 Design Standard, and while Photoshop and Ilustrator have installed perfectly, I get the following error when I try to open InDesign: Font Capture: InDesign.exe - Application Error.
I'm unable to uninstall and reinstall Indesign only, as it seems the entire Creative Suite is a single file in my file manager. Does anyone have advice for me?

    Hi Peter
Many thanks for your response. I ended up on the phone to Adobe tech
support, and eventually (hours later) it seemed that all the InDesign
plugins on the disk I bought were faulty, so new plugins were downloaded to
replace the old ones, and now my InDesign is working.
I'm not sure if this is something that might affect all CS5 InDesign users
    though.
Thanks again for your willingness to provide assistance, but the good news
is that the problem has been sorted out.
