Error for StarOffice 8 Writer

When I startup StarOffice Writer 8 in Solaris 10 5/08 I receive the following error:
Error loading BASIC of the document.
file: ///usr/staroffice7/share/basic/WebWizard/script.xlb/:
General error.
General input/output error.
The window pops up two times at start up.
It then disappears and the basic layout of StarOffice
Writer is visible.
I just upgraded to Solaris 10 5/08.
However I do not see this issue when logging in as another user.
Any thoughts what could go wrong and how to fix this?

I found the solution...
Just remove the .StarOffice8 file in your profile and a new one will be generated upon restart of StarOffice.

Could you check the Advanced tab of the Flat File Connection Manager to see whether the InputColumnWidth and the OutputColumnWidth properties of the Column2 has the same value? Please refer to the following link about the same topic:

Windows Server 2012 VSS error "The system writer is missing"

Hello All,
I have a HP server that I have just installed Server 2012 standard, SQL Server 2012 and Sharepoint 2013.
When I try to take bare metal backup I get the error: "The system writer is missing", I have tried the backup as the local admin and domain admin.
The backup will only work if I decide to back up C:, once I select "Bare Metal" or "System State" the backup fails.
I have tried this solution: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc734021.aspx but have not had any luck yet.
When I run the command "vssadmin list writers" I can not see "System Writer" listed.
How can I add/turn on the System Writer?

The system writer fails due to the fact that the trusted installer & system accounts are missing permissions to files in the directory %windir%\winsxs\filemaps\.
To resolve this issue, please run the following commands from an administrative elevated Command Window:
CD c:\windows\system32
Takeown /f %windir%\winsxs\filemaps\* /a
icacls %windir%\winsxs\filemaps\*.* /grant "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM:(RX)"
icacls %windir%\winsxs\filemaps\*.* /grant "NT Service\trustedinstaller:(F)"
icacls %windir%\winsxs\filemaps\*.* /grant "BUILTIN\Users:(RX)"

Sematic group for a write optimized DSO

Hello,
I am loading from a datasource to a write optmized DSO. While doing so, I am not able to set semtantic key/group for the DTP. I have turned error handling on using the setting 'Valid records update, No reporting(request RED)'.
Is this setting not possible for a write optimized DSO? if not why not? and if yes, what am i missing!?

here are my findings:
- if data has been loaded with delta using the DTP, it is not possible to change the sematic groups any more - all requests have to be deleted first
- the error handling must be turned on

Recently I've discovered that ADR was creating a folder in one of ours Oracle 11.2.0.1 server, in the users home like ~/oradiag_$USER/.. The problem is that this logging files dont stop growning, and they are filled only with this lines:

I've searched around internet about this issue all that I've found is a "workaround" by creating those folders. And yep, it works, it stops growning.
Then I checked the others servers that we have, and the problem replicates in some servers with the same Oracle version.
My question is: Why this? Why in some servers ADR is looking for that folder? That folder didnt exist in any of them, but only some servers tries to read/write on it (or, at least, log it) What parameter relies on it?

Constant Checking in Row Formula for Report Writer

Dear All,
Please advice what is the format to check a constant (string) in the row formula for Report Writer.
Let's say if I want to check the cost center group -->
If '&1KOSET' = 'ABC' then .... else......
So, what is the format for ABC? Because if i put 'ABC' it will be treated as cell. But if i do not put the ' ', then i get system error.

The logic that you would want , can be implemented through a column set. That is, as per your logic written in the set, your column values differ.
First in your set, keep your account number in the first set line. ie. 5000000.
Then you enter the following formula in the second line of a set defined for a report column:
IF u2018001u2019 > 5000000 THEN u2018001u2019 ELSE 0
If the value in the first column (set line 001) is greater than 5000000, then this value displays in the second column; if the value in the first column is less than 1000, the value 0 displays in the second column.

Order of the validation error for mandatory properties

Hi,
I have created mandatory Properties in KM Configuration.I have configured in such a way that the properties are shown while uploading a file.Now when I upload a file without filling the properties it shows the validation error for the properties but it is not shown in the order of the properties mentioned in the property Groups.
Everytime the error is shown in a random order.
Please advise me whether I am missing something in the configuration.

otherwise: I had the same problem, but I actually don't know the reason. I changed the validation rule:
before i had: VAL_YTD( write-offs cap. assets BS ) = VAL_YTD( write-offs PL)
now i have: ABS( VAL_YTD( write-offs cap. assets BS ) ) = ABS( VAL_YTD( write-offs PL) )
ABS = absolute value (no sign, only values).
You could also do it like that: ABS( VAL_YTD( write-offs cap. assets BS ) ) - ABS( VAL_YTD( write-offs PL) ) = 0
PS: To have the amount 0 in a validation rule is a restricted perspective. Never forget that!
Not only for the validation - it is always absolutely important to make sure which perspective you have choosen. Check the parameters, check the rules, the selections etc.

I have 2 PCs at home and on one itunes installed just fine but on another during installation i am getting the following error:

Anyone has an idea? Google didnt give me anything on such issue.

I received the following iTunes error after installing itunes as an adminstrater on my computer using a 64 bit and windows 8.1 operating system: If you wish to import or burn CDs, you need to reinstall iTunes.
I tried the installation trouble shooter and received the following error: Could not write Value ManageLLRouting key\system\currentcontrolset\services\BonjourService\Parameters.
How can I fix Could not write Value ManageLL Routing Key error and install iTunes correctly? Must I uninstall Norton 360 degrees Antivirus program before installing iTunes.

IPod problem - firmware update error. Disk write error.

I need your help! Ime just bought a new iPod 60 GB photo (with color display) but when I connected it for the first time to my PC (with Windows XP Home Edition SP 2) using USB 2.0 I got the message: iPod not readable. This iPod needs to be reformatted for use on your PC. Of course I decided to do that. The system had launched iPod updater. It asked me if I wanted to update or restore iPods software however the operation update was inactive (grey). So I choosed restore. Then a new window appeared: Firmware update error. Disk write error. On the iPods display a normal menu was replaced by exclamation mark. I tried to reset iPod, updated iTunes and iPods updater to the newest version and nothing. It still doesnt work. A folder with ! mark comes up. I try to restore once again and it says: Firmware update error. Disk write error.
Please help! What should I do to solve my problem? I want to add that my iPod is properly recognized by the computer system.
Unfortunately, its rather impossible to give back my iPod to the store. It was bought in the U.S.A. and I live in Poland.

-- Disconnect the iPod
-- Right click on "My Computer"
-- Select "Manage"
-- Select "Device Manager"
-- Expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
-- Right click on "Enhanced PCI to USB Host controller"
-- Click on "Disable"
-- Click "OK" to accept changes
Run the Updater software (Start==>Run==>iPod) and wait till it says to "Plug in an iPod to update it"
Plug in the iPod and wait (for a long while). It takes awhile because you are now running at USB 1.1 speeds. When it finally shows up, do the "update" or "restore", which ever you were trying to do.
You can try to re-enable the "Enhanced PCI TO USB Host controller" after you are done running the Updater software and try to copy your songs and pictures to the iPod. This may or may not work. If not, revert back to USB1.1.

I get this error when trying to install any of the MSP from 11.0.7. My device is at 11.0.6. Has anyone seen this issue?

Yes I am trying to install Adobe reader patch AdbeRdrUpd11007.msp on a Windows 7 device. I cannot uninstall already installed version as I am testing the deployment for an enterprise wide deployment and uninstalling existing version is not acceptible.

In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:

When you get through to the final screen:

Error 6 @ GPIB Write

Hello!
I'm currently working on a flash photolysis instrument using labview. Recently I have upgraded the computer and now have error 6 occuring randomly throughout the program. I've tracked the errors down to the GPIBwrite command which happens to be used throughout the program. After doing some reading and asking a few questions, I'm pretty sure its due to race conditions but have been unable to fix the problem (Probably due to me being a novice with Labview). Just wondering if any pros out there could lend some assistance, I've attached a jpeg of the problem area!

Updated my NI-488 driver and I've narrowed down this error a little more, but it is beyond my understanding. If I probe the Write error in, and Write error out the program will run fine for an indefinate amount of time(Pic1) but as soon as I remove the probes I'll be lucky to get 30 repetitions without Error6 coming back into my life(pic2). Really don't know what to make of this...
