Error FRM-92100 only on certain rows ..

Hi All,
I am deploying Forms 10g into Form Services iAS 10.1.2.0.2 on Linux RH AS 4. Clients are using WinXP SP1, IE 6.
On a Forms, when I try to access a certain rows, I get Error : FRM-92100. But when I Access other rows, no error.
Can any body give me clues, where to start to troubleshoot this kind of error ?
Thank you very much,
xtanto

Ok- so what is specific about those rows - is it consistantly the same rows? If so, what if you create a simple test form and do the same action on those rows - and what do you mean by "access certain rows" - do you mean query?update?delete?

    Hello,
I have NT server 4.0 on which following s/w are installed and setting is done as recommended.
    - Oracle 8i database server in oracle_home ORACLE8i
    - Oracle Web application server 4.0 in oracle_home OWAS4
    - Developer 6i forms in oracle_home OWAS4
I have form that contains multi-record block and text-items on the canvas.
My problem is that when i call this Form from HTML as a applet, It shows me only window alongwith toolbar and not contents of window/canvas, and clicks on enter query and then execute query it does nothing as nothing is showed in window/canvas. But as I clicks on Next record, It gives me following error.
FRM-92100:Your connection to the server was interrupted. This may be the result of a network error, or a failure on the server.
Can anybody please help me ?.
    Thanks

    Hi Bhushan,
Your problem is due to lower version of Internet Explorer. If you use IE 5.0 with JVM 5 then you will not face the problem you mentioned.

    Hi Friends
when I try to open my attachment file by clicking open document.. the session is getting terminated this the issue ,In my previous post one of the Expert suggested to refer
Metalink -> Master Note: Known Causes of the FRM-92100 Error In Forms [ID 756367.1] yes have refered and also refered OC4J_BI_Forms Instance Keeps Restarting Repeatedly [ID 338805.1] and find the
    cause
This problem occurs when forms can not write into file :
    $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/log/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1/default-web-access.log
There are two known scenarios where this occured :
    1. The size of the file grew more than 2GB
    2. When the system runs out of disk space on the driver/volume where
    this file is located
    Note :
1)when we checked the following file in our server (no such file exists in $ORACLE_HOME on both database and application tiers.
2)And there is enough space in the disk

    Hi!
Did you took a look to the application server control screen (as a rule: server:1810)?
Are all system components started successfully?
    What's about the Reports server?

  • Random FRM-92100 error experienced by users

Our users have been randomly getting the infamous FRM-92100 error. Some users have been experiencing this more than others. We have not been able to associated this error with a particular form as there has been no consistency that we can identify. Has anyone resolved this issue in the past where? Could this be associated with a certain release of Jinitiator? Just trying to find the best way to narrow down troubleshooting.
    Our environment information:
    Version 11.5.10.2
    AIX 5.3
    DB 9.2.0.6
    Jinitiator 1.3.1.21
Server version: Oracle HTTP Server Powered by Apache/1.3.19 (Unix)
    Server built: Mar 25 2005 15:40:05 (iAS 1.0.2.2.2 rollup 5)
Forms 6.0 (Forms Runtime) Version 6.0.8.25.2 (Production)
    Thanks in advance,

    hsawwan,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. After doing some additional research and getting some additional information from the users, it seems that our problem is related to the following:
Occasional FRM-92100 With Illegalargumentexception at createMessageFromDeltaMessage
    Note:300386.1
    Symptoms
Clients occasionally disconnect from forms with the following error :
FRM-92100: Your connection to the server was interrupted. This may be the result of a network error, or a failure on the Server. You will need to reestablish your session
    Details...
    Java Exception:
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Error while creating message from Delta message

    at oracle.forms.engine.Message.processDeltaMessage(Unknown Source)
    at oracle.forms.net.StreamMessageReader.run (Unknown Source)
    Fix
To solve the problem, you need to apply the fix whenever it is available for the requested platform. At the time this document is created, the bug is marked to be fixed in Forms version 10.1.2 and there were no backports available for earlier releases.
Have you even experienced this and do we really have to upgrade to 10.1.2 for this issue to be resolved?
    Thanks,

  • Only updating specific rows.

How do I only update certain rows in an AdvancedDataGrid - to avoid updating the whole thing.
If it's any help, I want to update only the selected cells, or rows containing selected cells.  (allowMultipleSelection="true").
One possible way is to convert selectedCells row and column values into references to the itemRenderer, and tell each itemRenderer to refresh.  But If there is a more direct way - I'll take it.  (Note that the documented AdvancedDataGrid.selectedItems property doesn't work).

    Hi,
From your description, you have a list with Hyperlink/Picture column. When you change the Standard View to Datasheet View and perform bulk upload, the error occurs when there
    are .jpg files.
I tried to reproduce via UI or code, all worked as expected.
Can this error occur if you upload the .jpg files in Standard View?
What if you upload one single .jpg file to this list in Datasheet View?
If the issue still exists, I suggest you do the same test on another clean list in case it is a list issue.
Feel free to reply with the test result if the issue still exists.

    Hi,
frm-92100 is a generic error and it happens when the network connection is lost.
There is a lot of documentation on Metalink about that. Take a look at Note 216639.1

    Hi,
Here are my thoughts / comments:
    1. The forum is not the best place to get advice for resolving this type of generic error. Do you have access to Metalink(http://metalink.oracle.com) If so, I recommend you seek help / advice from Oracle Global Support Services by logging a new iTAR. A support engineer with Forms / Reports problem solving expertise can then assist you with your investigations. Logging an iTAR will also ensure your query is tracked and documented appropriately.
    2. Also to be found on Metalink is the following support article which discusses troubleshooting this type of generic error:
    Note:189867.1 Troubleshooting FRM-92050, FRM-92100, FRM-92101, FRM-92102 in Oracle Forms

  • FRM-92100 Your Connection to the server is failed

    Hi All,
I have a strange problem when i query all records and navigate between the record then the form show me the error frm-92100 your connection to the server is failed------------- it came on the particular record but when i query that record manullay then no error came.
    I m using the oracle 10g XE and application server 10g rel.2 .
when i run that form on the 6i then it gave me no error.

    Verify the following:
    1. Recompiled all modules related to the application. This includes FMB, MMB, and PLL files. Be sure this is accomplished on the machine from where the executibles will be deployed.
    2. networkRetries=5 in formsweb.cfg. By default the value is 0
    3. iAS has been patched to 10.1.2.2. If the installation is on Windows or Solaris, you must also install a required follow-on patch (see below):
o Internet Application Server (iAS) - Patch ID 4960210
o MANDATORY Post Install 10.1.2.2 Patch - Patch ID 5732133 (See Note: 404477.1)

  • Opening a webutil form sends a FRM-92100 error

    Hi,
I don't have much experience in Oracle Forms, but I'm helping in the implementation of Linux clients. I'm using Firefox and installed the java 1.5.0_11-b03 plugin. I can work on the application without problems, but on some forms it sends me a FRM-92100 error. I asked to the forms programmers for this forms and they told me this forms used webutil functions. I gave permissions to the bin folder in the jvm folder and in the jre folder, but I can't see the jar that apears at the webutil.cfg
I have very limited access to the Application Server (10.1.2) on Linux, so until now I've tried to change things at the client side. The webutil version is the 1.0.6.
    Thanks in advance,

Solve the problem? Else this might help.
    1. Did you sign the two jar-files accordning to the readme.html?
    2. And did you accept the certificate at runtime?
    3. Also, compile the webutil.pll into webutil.plx
