Error from Business Catalyst

I have a creative cloud account and ever since I moved to it my BC does not work.
I am getting this error:
﷯Error:
Does not have enough privileges to create an Adobe Business Catalyst temporary site. Please contact the site administrator.
Thought on how to fix this?

It appears the user doesn't have full admin access. Please reach out to BC direct chat support so they can assist in getting this resolved.

You can published the site to BC directly from Muse , if you are subscribed to creative cloud then you don't need to subscribe BC separately.

I need to disconnect from business catalyst

A while ago I began working on a website but had to stop because my computer went bad. Bought a new computer and just now installed CS6. Started to work on my website again and find a "Welcome back to Business Catalyst" login that says, "Please log in to continue working with this panel." I've no idea how I ever got connected to this catalyst thing and it scares me that Adobe's software can lead us into something like that without our knowing what we've done or how we did it. It's kind of creepy from the privacy standpoint.
I don't know what Business Catalyst is, don't know why I have to log in, don't want to have my computer work on files connected to anything cloudlike, and want to work ONLY on files on my computer. When I'm ready to have them anywhere else, it will be on my website on another hosting service.
How do I make sure my work is confined to my computer? How do I disconnect from business catalyst. I don't always have an Internet connection. I merely want to learn to use Dreamweaver at this point.
Another post on this forum was answered by a staff member to someone asking a similar question. He said to get on "chat" and talk to someone who could help disconnect them from Business Catalyst.
How, exactly do I get to that chat page. I've been searching Adobe's pages for about an hour and just end up going in circles. Still haven't found it.

Sounds like you are using muse or dreamweaver with the new Creative cloud or otherwise?
Business catalyst is part of Adobe, it is not 3rd party or anything else. Its Adobe. So do not stress about that. It is not installing files or anything. Business catalyst (google it) is a means to build sites.
To be able to connect and upload files to develop a BC site is part of both Muse and Dreamweaver. You can choose not to and ignore it.

Why do emails from Business Catalyst site not show up on iPhone?

I have an email setup on my own Business Catalyst website with a few alias's. The email account is setup in my Outlook 07 Windows 7 64 pro desktop, and I can send and receive emails from all of the alias's and the main email. However I am noticing that on some emails from clients, I get the email on my desktop Outlook 07, but it never shows up on my iPhone.
EXAMPLE: Today I received an email at 12:57pm. It shows on my desktop. But never showed up on my iPhone. Once I saw this I forwarded the message from my desktop to the same email address that my client had sent his email to. Once I did that I did get the forwarded email of the original email on my iPhone. And yes, I have received other emails from the same client email address before on several occasions.
Problem is that I left my office at 12:15 and did not see this 12:57 email until I got back to the office much later in the day. And thus, ending my day very badly due to.....??? A) the Business Catalyst email I have setup is not setup correctly B) my email settings in my iPhone is not setup correctly.
Wondering if anybody else has experienced the same issue and figured out what step was missed.

Not sure how is that working on one instance but not other. Can you please try to use mail.b.hostedemail.com as incoming and/or outgoing mail server on iphone and try again. This hostname has the SSL certificate installed on it and can be used for transferring the emails in a secured manner.

Getting ORA-20002: 3825: Error '-4061-ORA-04061: Error from business event

Hi,
I have defined custom subscription to the iRecruitment business event oracle.apps.per.api.assignment.update_apl_asg . In this custom subscription i am launching a custom workflow to send Notification about offer acceptance or Application Submission information.
The subscription package is in my custom schema. When i do transaction to invoke the subscription i am getting below error.
ORA-20002: 3825: Error '-4061 - ORA-04061: existing state of has been invalidated ORA-04061: existing state of package
"XXPJ.XXPJ_IREC_EXT_COMPONENTS_PK" has been invalidated ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package "XXPJ.PT in Package irc_party_swi Procedure
registered_user_application.
I need to bounce the Workflow services and Apache server to clear this error and functionality work for some time, again after doing 3-4 transaction i get the same error.
Any help on this appreciated.

From error: "existing state of has been invalidated ORA-04061" It only can happen when current db session finds this package as INVALID. Now when which cases it can find ir INVALID:
1) One case is that: some other db session "really" compiled your current package. Please note: even if the status is VALID but other db session will see that as INVALID in first attempt and in second attempt, current db session will try to recompile that on-the-fly.
2) Or Some other db session compiled or altered dependent objects, I mean objects on which your current package is dependent on.

Who do I inform/contact about my intentions to migrate my hosting from Business Catalyst to another hosting platform?

I intend to transfer my hosting to another platform, which is asking if I have informed my current host (BC) of my intentions. I'm not sure who I should speak to about this.

Download changes from Business Catalyst

We are two designers collaborating on a Muse site. My partner has just uploaded his new design to BC. I need to download his version into my Muse so that I can make some changes.
How can I do this?
In browser editing is not enouch, I need to edit the design.

As you have mentioned you can use In browser editing to make changes so that the changes should reflect on loading the site in Muse.
As an alternative your partner can upload the Muse file to any server or same site root location from where you can download and work on the file.
At current stage that's the option to work simultaneously on a file.

How do I install the modules from Business Catalyst into Dreamweaver?

They have changed things around compared to Dreamweaver 6. I have my website on the B.C. website, but don't know how to add the modules on Dreamweaver.

Thanks for the reply. I already have the add on installed. I've had it installed and using it for a few months now. The issue is, unlike the previous version before DW CC, I was able to install the modules on my computer and open them up in D.W. and was able to add the modules to my pages through D.W.
I'll look at the link again and see if that is what it's showing me what to do.

From Business Catalyst to ftp'ing to my domain. Is this an easy move?

I work at a college and normally I just drag/drop my files into the web server folder. However, that isn't really an option with Muse if you want to push a button to upload revisions. So, the computing people here set it up so that I can ftp the files to our domain. I haven't been able to test it because the site is used so often - it's more like old one down, new one up right away. I'm really scared that there is some little item I have to specify ahead of time that I'll miss and all the links won't work... Anyone have any suggestions/steps I should take?

If you already have a paid site in BC (or a free BC site off your Creative Cloud subscription), then you can simply add the domain name to your BC site admin while pointing the domain to us. Take a look at the article here on taking your BC site live - http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1741.
On the other hand, if you already have a site live elsewhere with your domain name (at a third party hosting) but would just like to update it with your Muse site files, please use the built in FTP upload dialog. Dreamweaver error when using Business Catalyst module tags in template

Hi all,
this is a recent and very distruptive error I have come accross in Dreamweaver CC.
When editing a document attached to a Business Catalyst template in Dreamweaver,
I was getting an error message (attached) saying:
"You have made changes to the code that is not marked as editable. If you retain those changes, they will be lost the next time you apply a template update to this file. Do you want to retain the changes until then?"
This happened every time I added a new html tag to the page, p div etc... which made DW unusable for editing files.
Having not got any useful help from BC support, they told me to contact Dreamweaver support!
In the end, I found through troubleshooting that it was the content holder module tags from Business Catalyst that were causing the problem,
I had recently converted my Header, Footer, Scripts etc to Content Holders in the site admin,
and when I removed these tags from my template and replaced them with the original html the problem disappeared.
The problem was happening on both my macs so the problem looked real to me,
but from searching online I couldn’t find people with similar issues, which made me think I must be doing something wrong.
As an aside,
I find the workflow between Dreamweaver CC and Business Catalyst, particularly in relation to DW templates very confusing.
I couldn’t find any up-to-date best practice guides for using DW in the Business Catalyst workflow that discusses the real issues I get every day:
- Best practice DW template editable region for {tag_pagecontent}
- BC pages updated from DW lose their page titles {tag_pagetitle} in BC admin (always causes problems for me)
If anyone is having these issues and found a way to get around them I’d be very interested,
I hope that this post will help some people who run into the same problem.

I found what may be at least a temporary solution to this problem. The error seems to something to do with the template file not having been updated, so whenever DW reads the file it looks like the template code has been changed (which of course it hasn't). It may be to do with the way BC treats the template code on the server side, as it seemed to start happening after I had downloaded some files from the server.
I opened the affected page and clicked Modify->Templates->Update Current Page and so far no error messages. Just one gotcha though. If you have any BC tags or Liquid code in your templates, DW converts it all to some kind of gobbledegook, so before you update the Template, copy all of your editable code and then paste it back in once the update has been done.

Business catalyst - Muse sites in development not publishing

Hi, I am getting an error message from Business Catalyst that my site validity cannot be verified and I can't test publish at the moment. It's happening across the board with all my current Muse sites still in dev. I've done nothing new/different since last night when they all were behaving normally. Muse will not download changes for Adobe Business Catalyst?

Saya it all. Make a change in Catalist try to sync with Catalist and it say... Text frame on page 'HOME' was modified on this web page, but the change could not be merged into Muse.

This error happens in the case where the act of merging a text change from Business Catalyst could end up deleting a hyperlink in your text frame. In such cases, Muse leaves the text frame unchanged but warns you so you may merge the change manually.
The warning message identifies the text frame content, the containing page title, and a link to the web-page on Business Catalyst; that should help with the manual merge.

Business Catalyst to Dreamweaver

Quick question for the gurus out there.
I just transferred a new site I created in Dreamweaver to override an exisiting site from Business catalyst.
Only problem is now all the photos are missing and the top module where my links are is also missing.
I checked within the code, can't seem to find the problem.
Why would it do this anyway?

Is this site still hosted by Business Catalyst? Your menu code looks like this:

Similarly, in your Newsletter form, you've got this:

Unless the site is on a Business Catalyst server, the BC code won't work.
Trying to access http://www.litterdata.com/images/2012_07_26_2901.jpg results in an HTTP 500 code (Internal Server Error).
If the site is on a Business Catalyst server, you would be better off seeking advice in the Business Catalyst forum. If you're moving a Business Catalyst site to an ordinary web server, you need to strip out all the Business Catalyst code and rebuild the site using standard HTML and CSS.
