Error from Full client to WEBI?

Hi Senior members..
I stuck with a issue..
Actually i converted some deski reports 6.5 to webi XI R3 using report conversion tool..!!
But some of them are partially converted with the following error log..
a) Partially Converted: Desktop Intelligence block filter cannot be migrated into a Web Intelligence block filter
b) Partially Converted: Multiple groups not available in Web Intelligence charts
c) Partially Converted: Objects cannot be hidden in Web Intelligence documents..
Could you please help me out to get rid of this issue

Hi,
these are features which are, currently, not supported in Webi. Possible Workarrounds:
1. Create a Report or Query Filter
2. Use multiple charts
3. Remove the Object from the Report or unhide it

  • Issues on exporting the report to Excel from full client BO 5.1

    Hi,
I am facing a problem in exporting the BO report from Business Objects 5.1 to excel file. I am aware that there is no direct way to export the BO report to Excel from Business Objects(File--> save as to .txt file and then copy its data to excel )
When the export the BO report to excel file,I received two errors one over other
    error1: Numeric data overflow (3349)
When I click OK button, second error received is like this
    error2:export failed (dma0005)
I tried all options to fix this and also I looked for an dialog box " export to external file format " in Business Objects inorder to copy the report data to COPY TO DDE option but I didn't find any aforementioned dialog box
Please provide me the solution to fix the issues
    Kind Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi Denis,
Yes,all reports based on this particular universe have this problem
Are you telling me to isolate the object from the universe that is creating problems and then run the report ?
Also, I am unable to find the option from  menu items in Full client BO 5.1 to open the dialog box with name " export to external file format ". Can you please tell me where I can find this?
    Warm Regards,

  • Network Path Error from Windows Clients

    Hi everyone,
I have a problem that's been puzzling me. I used to be able to connect to my Mac servers as well as Mac clients with Windows sharing enabled from PCs at my work. I can't recall exactly when it stopped working, but it has. Whenever I try connecting to a Mac from a Windows PC, all I get is the error "The network path \\"server"\"share" could not be found". Here's the scenario:
    - Tried connecting to Tiger Server (10.4.2), Tiger client (10.4.4) and Panther Server (10.3.9)
    - Neither Windows 2000 SP4 or XP SP2 work (I know about the issues with XP SP2)
    - Systems are on the same IP subnet
    - All have the same Windows workgroup name
    - I've stopped and restarted Windows services, and Windows sharing on Tiger client
    - Share points on both servers are configured for SMB
    - Tried IP and host name
    - Works fine connecting from a Mac using "smb://server" in the Connect To dialog
    - I'm able to connect via FTP from the PC
    Any ideas are appreciated!
    iMacG5, iMac G4, iBook G3 900mhz, 1st gen iPod, iPod Nano   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Have you tried connecting to the share by IP address? try start, run,
    \\xxx.xxx.x.xx\
The problem I am having is similar. 10.4.3 server windows shares work for a while, then it stops broadcasting out of the blue. We can still make IP connects to the server, but cannot using the smb name.
Gonna call support today and see what I can find out on my issue. If I find some resolve I will try to post the solution if I get time.

    Hi 392415,
It looks like you haven't specified the INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY property -- the name of the class that creates the "java.naming.InitialContext" class.
Perhaps you would care to show the entire error message and stack trace, as well as the part of your code that is causing the error, and perhaps a few details about your environment.
Then I might be able to help you some more.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

    Hi,
Try to check the followings please:
Check the enabled network protocols on teh SQL Server by using SQL Server Configuration Manager. Make sure the preferred protocol (TCP/IP) is enabled)
Make sure the client computer has the preferred network protocol enabled by using cliconfg.exe (both 32 and 64 bit)
If you are using naed instance and dynamic port, make sure SQL Browser Service enabled.
Make sure the firewall allows the port you are using on both client and SQL Server.
    I hope it helps.

    What am I doing wrong?
    Is this philosphy correct?
Should the HttpURLConnection be to the target folder
and then create the file in it?

    hello,
first here is my interpretation of your prob.
You have a client. From this client you are trying to upload files onto a server.
Finding the files and reading them on the client side is not a prob. The prob is storing them on the server side.
    right?
If the above stated prob is right, here is a solution.
    1. You have to first inform the server that you are sending the file. Unless you do so the server will not understand when you have started sending the file.
So, initially, the applet which you have written need to communicate with a servlet on the server side.
This can be done using reqs.. .get or post.In the req itself you can even send the name of the folder wherein you want to store the file you are going to transfer later on.
Next, after receiving the folder name, the servlet can now understand that next file data is going to be received.
The applet now sends the file which is received by the servlet and stored appropriately.
You need to explicitly write a servlet to receive a data into the file and then store the file into appropriate folder.

  • 401 Error on Consuming SharePoint Versions Web Service by java client running on Unix Machine

In my organiszation I have sharepoint site of our project. I have a java client to consume Versions Web Service offered by SharePoint. The response received from web service without any issue when triggered from a client running on windows machine on
    intranet.
When same java client ran from UNIX server on same intranet, it gives 401 error. Is there some different approach required for authentication while connecting from unix machine?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
Are you passing credential in code? If not then try to add using networkcredential.
If you are passing then make sure that current user is having access on SP site and your javaserver is setup for NTLM security. Here is few links for same issue which could help you troubleshoot the issue

  • BOMGR 0070 message in a Full Client report from webintelligence

Hi, I have a problem with a FullClient report from Webi. This report run very well in fullClient, but when I try to run it from webintelligence. It sends me the following error message:
"System error   COM error during call to BusinessObjects server process. (Error: BOMGR 0070)   The remote procedure call failed.   no error message to display "
I'm working with BO 6.5 over windows, wiht IIS.
I have a condition in this report, it asks me for a date interval. If I have 4 years in this interval, I don´t have any problem, but if I have more than 4 year, like 8 year, the message appear and stop the report
I have to two queries in this report, only one of them have the condition, then in report I link the information by a key column
I've cheked the log files, but they haven't given additional information. BOMgr log for example say:

Some one help me. Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for your input, Laura. The only name that is longer than 8 characters in the URL is the server name, 9 letters. I tried mapping a drive to the location, to connect to X:\grpwise\po instead, but I am getting the same error. In case the servername is the problem, I am going to clear some space on another server, restore there, and see what happens.

  • Error while creating Sales Order From HTTP Client

    Hi,
I have a scenario, wherein I need to create SO from HTTP client (an HTML page). I paste my xml source data in the payload area and send the message. I get back this response:
    Result:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns1:Deep_RFCResponse_MT xmlns:ns1="http://mindtree.com/xi/m1004968"><SALESDOCUMENT><SALESORDERNO></SALESORDERNO></SALESDOCUMENT><RETURN><item><TYPE>E</TYPE><ID>V1</ID><MESSAGE>Sales document type OR is not defined</MESSAGE></item></RETURN></ns1:Deep_RFCResponse_MT>
I am supposed to get a SO no. here, but I get this message.
Whereas if I give same data at  back end (in SAP system) the SO no is created successfully!
Can anybody tell me where am I going wrong, if I am?
    Thank you,
    Cheers,
    Deepak.

    Hi  Prateek.
    You were right.....
The problem was with the data that I was passing. I was passing OR as the document type, which internally was being converted to TA.
It was creating the SO successfully because I was using the transaction se37 and this is where OR was converted to TA.
But if we use va01 to create the SO, we get this error.
    Thank you....
    Points!! definitely
    Cheers,
    Deepak.

  • ORA-12571 error while creating packages from Windows clients

    Hello,
We are facing the ORA-12571 error while creating / replacing packages from Windows Clients connected to a 8.1.7.2.0 db on a Solaris server.
    However, there are
    1. no errors in connecting and creating transactions from a Sql session
    2. no errors in creating / replacing unwrapped/wrapped small (few lines) packages
    3. no errors in connecting from a Unix session (remote telnet sessions inclusive).
This happens only when creating wrapped/unwrapped packages, source code of which is greater than 500 kb approx.
Can somebody help me resolve this issue. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards.
    Lakshmanan, K

Update: I had unintentionally left my custom tablespace in READONLY state after an earlier experiment with transportable tablespaces. After putting the tablespace back into READ WRITE mode and creating a new template, I was successfully able to create a new db from the template.
I'm still a little curious why this procedure wouldn't work properly with a READONLY tablespace, however.

  • Error in creating New Entry from the Client in NW Mobile 7.1

    Hi All,
I have created a mobile application for Laptops in NW Mobile 7.1.
I have a requirement to create an entry from the client, i.e., I need to create a PR in the client. The model bindind, the backend adapters, bapi wrappers are in place.
I have used the standard create BAPI for PR and wrapped it in a BAPI wrapper. I just have to give the PR details and save the entry in the client. The BAPI wrapper has the logic for generating the new PR number.
My problem here is, when I try to create a new PR, give the details and save, the entry is not getting updated in the backend and the sync state is '201'.
I checked the "Message Monitoring" in the NW Mobile Administrator for the particular SWCV.
For this create PR transaction, the particulars are as below
Message State: Error - Stop Flow
    Message Type: Transaction
Error: "Error occurred while fetching synckeys from table ZDOE01700000SL"
"ZDOE01700000SL" is the Sync key look up table for PR(my data object).
Please let me know where I have gone wrong and guide me in rectifying this problem.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
From my understanding, looks like you are not filling synckey when you are creating a PR in your client. Synckey is a unique key on the DOE using which you can uniquely identify any node.
There are two scenario's atleast as I know, where this error would have come.
Case 1. If you are modifying something on client, which has been send by DOE, then you are not supposed to change synckey because it is a primary key. Now if we assume that you are not modifying synckey but when you are sending an update, check if by any chance the synckey is not going to DOE which is one case, and the second one is, after DOE has end that record to client, someone has cleaned up all the tables on DOE for that dataobject or someone has deleted that entry on the backend because of which the entry has been deleted on DOE. In either case, you are modifying something on client which is actually not present on DOE because of which when the DOE tries to look up based on synckey it doesn't find the needed record.
Case 2. If you are creating something on client, then you are supposed to create a synckey which is a 32 bit character GUID. I think in your case, you are missing the synckey when you are sending it to DOE. Check if there is any API for doing that or you have manually create a GUID and send it.
    Hope it works out.
    Best Regards,
    Siva.

    ===========================
In the error it is showing that file expense_categories.csv in SOURCE_LOCATION not found but I am 100% sure that file is very much there.
Is anybody face the same issue?
Do we need to configure something before loading data from a flat file from OWB Client?
    Any help would higly appreciable.
    Regards,
    Manmohan Sharma

    Hi Detlef / Gowtham,
Now I am able to fetch data from flat files from OWB Server as well as OWB Client.
One way I have achieved as suggested by you
    1) Creating location on the OWB Client
    2) Samples the files at client
    3) Created & Configured external table
    4) Copy all flat files on OWB Server
    5) Updated the location which I created at the client.
    Other way
    1) Creating location on the OWB Client
    2) Samples the files at client
    3) Created & Configured external table
    4) Copied flat files on the sever in same drive & directory . like if my all flat files are on C:\data at OWB Client then I copied flat file C:\data on the OWB Server. But this is feasible for Non-Windows.
    Hence my problem solved.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Manmohan
