    Hello,
    I have the sem problem since sveral days, I found the following workaround on our environement. Working since 5hours.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards.
    IDSM-2 Sensor Module - errSystemError -ct-sensorApp.XXX not responding, please check system processes - The connect to the specified Io::ClientPipe failed.
    Symptom:
    When attempting to access an IDSM-2 sensor via its GUI (IDM) or via IME (IPS Manager Express), an error such as the following is encountered:
    "errSystemError -ct-sensorApp.XXX not responding, please check system processes - The connect to the specified Io::ClientPipe failed."
    Additionally, review of the 'show version' command output indicates the AnalysisEngine (sensorApp process) to be "Not Running".
    Conditions:
    IDSM-2 sensor module running 7.0(x) software release. Global Correlation Inspection feature enabled (On). A 'show tech' command output includes a sensorApp process core containing lines similar to the following:
    cat /usr/cids/idsRoot/core/sensorApp/core.txt
    /usr/cids/idsRoot/bin/sensorApp(_ZN3Cid3Rep9RepIpData13ApplyIpUpdateEPKcPNS0_8RepScoreE+)
    Solution:
    This problem is tracked as defect CSCti79423. It can be encountered on the IDSM-2 platform when a Global Correlation Update occurs. A fix for this is currently planned for inclusion in the next 7.0 release (7.0(6)).
    In the interim, the only workaround to ensure that the sensor does not re-encounter this defect is to disable Global Correlation Inspection (Updates) as such:
    sensor# conf t
    sensor(config)# service global-correlation
    sensor(config-glo)# global-correlation-inspection off
    sensor(config-glo)# exit
    Apply Changes?[yes]: yes
    After making the above configuration change, a reboot of the affected IDSM-2 sensor module should restore it to service:
    sensor# reset

  • Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control ...

    Dear SapService,
    I've installed a BI7.0 (ABAP only) instance on cluster with :
    windows 2003 x64 SP2
    SQL server 2005 x64 SP2
    WAS 7.00 kernel 80
    *the service runs with domain user.
    I've upgraded to kernel 114 (latest). After the upgrade the ASCS service doesn't start. It throws error:
    "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control
    request in a timely fashion"
    To solve this problem I've tried:
    -go back to kernel 80 but I still get the same error.
    -start the service manually on the second node. Still same error.
    -restart the two servers and try again to start the service on the
    nodes.
    Any ideas ?
    Please advice,

  • Error 2186: The service is not responding to the control function

    Every time I start the Messaging Server I get an error message. The server
    is running and no event log errors are reported. I see:
    <P>
    Could not start the <%hostname%> on <%computername%>.
    Error 2186: The service is not responding to the control function.
    <P>
    This occurs because the system does not have enough remaining memory to
    create a new desktop heap for the service being started.
    <P>
    The limit can be raised, but doing so requires changing registry entries to
    allow more but smaller desktop heaps for Windows NT services.
    The best solution is to limit the application connector instances to seven
    or less.
    <P>
    For instance, you may make a change from 0 (zero) to 1 (one):
    <P>
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    SYSTEM
    ControlSet001
    Control
    Session Manage
    HeapDeCommitTotalFreeThreshold
    <P>
    Or press Ctrl-F to find "heap".

    Nvd,
    I'm sorry to hear about the problems that you are running into with your DAQCard. I can understand your frustration with the errors that you are seeing. You mention that you have tried to do some troubleshooting, I was wondering if you have tried all the troubleshooting techniques listed in this KnowledgeBase:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/DCFCDB240788F8D486256D6A00834D80?OpenDocument
    If you have tried all of those things, I would suggest one additional thing to try. I would suggest updating your NI-DAQ drivers to version 7.0. These drivers are the newest versions of our Data Acquisition Drivers, and can be downloaded from our website here:
    http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/webcategories/85256410006C055586256BBB002C128D?OpenDocument&

    If you have tried all of the above troubleshooting options, please post a detailed description of what you have tried. This may help to clarify what is going wrong.

  • J2ee connection error, "The Message Server did not respond within 60 sec"

    Hi,
    I am facing the error "The Message Server did not respond within 60 sec. Please check if the message server is running.." when connecting to J2ee through NWDS.
    I am able to reach the index page via http://<ip address>:53500/index.html but yet unable to reach through NWDS.
    I have tried various combinations of host and port names like:
    Message Server Host : <ip address>, <host name>
    Message Server Port : 3636, 3936
    but still no luck.
    I've also cross checked the value of message server port by navigating to http://<IP address>:53500/monitoring/SystemInfo too, it is 3636.
    The telnet test (telnet <ip address> <port Number>) draws a blank window.
    I know this problem has been posted again and again, but then I am unable to understand what is the solution to this.
    Can someone please help me in resolving this issue?
    Note: [link 1|Unable to Connect to the J2EE Server from Netweaver Developer Studio; & [link 2|Developer Studio:Exception:The message server did not respond within 60 sec; are already checked.

    Hi Robin,
    Although I still haven't received any info from my colleagues regarding the central instance..
    Just a quick query, if we have NW04 we use 36** and if it is NW04S then we use 39** , is this the only difference for message server port?
    If that is the case, as I mentioned earlier, I have tried both, and one gave me N/A(3936) while the other gave me 'message server did not respond' error(3636).
    I have the message server host name & port , Enqueue Server Host name & Port and SDM PID and Port details with me..
    Can this be anyway useful in establishing a connection?
    Waiting for your inputs...
    Best Regards,
    Vinay

    Thanks for reaching out Abhishek.
    I am trying to setup a Client to Gateway VPN so I can utilize the 50 available tunnels.  I have setup a Group VPN with user accounts associated with it.  I have installed the Cisco QuickVPN client on Windows 7 and Windows 8 clients and have attempted to login.  I have followed the instructions that Cisco posted @ https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-29399, but cannot connect a remote client successfully.  I recieve the error:

    Hi,
    iChat uses several port as they are called over the internet to do different things
    Text Chats and Video Chats are on different Ports.
    You probably don't have the port open.
    Use UPnP in your router if it has it.

    Error 22 is a Bandwidth/Speed issue.
    Make sure both ends have System Preferences > Quicktime > Streaming set to 1.5Mpbs
    Restart iChat if you change the speed.
    If that is set and the iChat > Preferences > Video section > Bandwidth is set to above 200 and preferably NONE then the issue will be the Internet speed or how much it is shared with other computers.

    I have tried to record with another tape, and also to erase the tape, and even so the problem persists.
    This error has not happened to me in previous made backups. I did Send command FSCK to check problems in the disc, not finding any problem. Until before this problem, I have made satisfactorily backup with ufsdump of all partitions of my Solaris Server SPARC.
    The output of command: iostat -E is:

    What the mean the log ?
    How to solve ?
    In fact, thank you very much.
    Jimmy

    Disk not responding to selection generally indicates a hard drive error.
    The fact that their showing up as transport errors indicates it could be scsi bus or or ide chain problems.
    Could be cables, termination, controller. Or it could be the drive electronics.
