Error handling in File content conversion
In our project , we are converting Flat file to XML by adapter modules ...
File is like this :
HEADER 123 567
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
FOOTER
File has been succesfully converted to XML.HEADER, DETAIL and FOOTER are the key field
values.
Now in some scenario file is like this
HEADER 123 567
DETAIL1 UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
FOOTER
As there is one DETAIL1( different from DETAIL, it can be anything other tha DETAIL ) we need to throw the error.Client wants to do it in the Integration engine level not in Adpater engine...
Any suggestions will be great ....
Bhavesh ,
Input
HEADER 123 567
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
DETAIL UWERU AASD fftk
FOOTER
The output is like this
<root>
<header>
<f1>123</f1>
<f2>567</f2>
<detail>
<f3>UWERU</f3>
<f4>AASD</f4>
<f5>fftk</f5>
</detail>
<footer>
</footer>
Now regarding the module , we are using all standard modules , can we set the flag using SAP standard module ???
Another question is , is ot possible to make the key field values (HEADER, DETAIL and FOOTER ) is part of the output ???

Error in Sender File content Conversion - how to ignore keyfieldName
Dear Frndz,
I'm new to SAP PI. I want to post a flat file to ECC.
The Souce Structure is:
Record(1-unbounded)

Header.feldseparator ,
Header.endseparator 'nl'
Detail.fieldNames field4,field5,field6

Consistency check error in sender file content conversion
Dear Experts,
I am trying one simple File to File scenario in which i have only fields 1>salesorder_number 2>Description
I created a txt file with line items "100,crudeoil" with file name as salesorder.txt
In the sender file adapter i have configured the file convertion paramenters as follows:
Document name : mt_salesorder_sender
Document namespace : http://se.com.sa/sec-sa-qax "Namespace of message type
Recordset Structure : document,*
document.endSeparator : 'nl'
document.fieldSeparator: ,
document.fieldNames : salesorder_number,Description
So after this if i run the scenario In file adapter i am getting the error like "Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found: Parameter 'document.fieldFixedLengths' or 'document.fieldSeparator' is missing Consistency check: no. of arguments in 'document.fieldFixedLength' does not match 'document.fieldNames' (0 <> 2) "
Please let me know where i am going wrong.

File Content Conversion for complex structure
Hi
I have a requirement to repeat a structure consisting of three lines i.e the segment containing these 3 lines will have occurrence 0....unbounded and will be repeated in the File multiple times ,
What is the level that can be handled in File Content Conversion's recordset structure ?
My issue is that the structure is
Dt_File -> Repeating Level1->Level2 ->Field1
->Level2a->Field3
-> Level2b->Field5
where the first level is DT_File
under which I have RepeatingLevel1 as a SubElement
and under Repeating level I have Level2 , Level2a and Level2b at its subelementsl
and under Level2 I have Field1 , Under Level2a i have Field3 and under Levle 2b i have Field5
How do i handle this in the Content Conversion ?? as in how do I create my Recordset Structure ?? as it just handles one level below the Document Name (i,e) Message Type)
Is it possible ??? or should i consider some other way to constuct my data type ??
Thanks
DevHi Tarang
My DT according to the target file structure is this :
DT_File
>Main1(1,1)
>Main2(1,1)
>Main3(0...unbounded)
>Record1(1,1)
>Field1
>Field2
>Field3
>Record2(1,1)
>Field4
>Field5
>Record3(1,1)
>Field6
>Field7
SO I want to confirm if the receiver FCC will be - Main1,Main2,Main3,Record1,Record2,Record3
Record1.fieldSeparator ,
Record1.endSeparator 'nl'
Record2.fieldSeparator ,
Record2.endSeparator 'nl'
Record3.fieldSeparator ,
Record3.endSeparator 'nl'
or Main1,Main2,Record1,Record2,Record3
Thanks

File Content Conversion - Error in keyfield Value
Hello experts,
I am doing file content conversion for a file to file scenario. The input file is a csv file which is converted to xml using the file content conversion. The key field of input file is used for implementing conversion.
While testing the FCC, I noticed that if the keyfield value is wrong for a record in the file, the record is ignored altogether without throwing any errors or warnings. Is there any way to notify if any records have been ignored as a result of incorrect keyfield value??
Thanks in advance!
RRThere seems to be NO way to handle it in FCC.

Thanks,
AparnaHi Aparna,
I feel the problem in your content conversion parameters is with
statement.fieldNames and ignoreRecordsetName
When you are confirguring receiver file adapter for file content conversion the above one is not required. Please refer below link for details on configuring content conversion in file adapter

Can you check the error in sender communication channel?
Go to RWB ---> Component Monitoring ---> Adapter Engine ---> Communication cahnnel monitoring --> it displays new page. Then give your file sender communication cahnnel name. There you will definitely see some error.
The error what you are getting is a different to this one. Can you please check the error what I have given above path.

How to resolve this issue? I appreciate your help.
Thank you,
BalajiBalaji,
I would suggest to remove FileItem and LineItem in your receiver datatype. They are increasing the hierarchy of your content conversion. If you do that then you will have
<ns1:MT_Info_File xmlns:ns1="urn:http://freemanco.com/xi/info_list">
<TYPE>
<FileName>DD11022007</FileName>
</TYPE>
<DATA><LineEntry>234567891234567890123456789012345678901234567890</LineEntry>
<LineEntry>95473523647586969587265245437586979798376524253586</LineEntry>
<DATA>
</ns1:MT_Info_File>
Then in content converstion give this parameters:
Record structure : TYPE,FileName,DATA,LineEntry
TYPE.fieldfixedlengths : 0
FileName.fieldfixedlenghts:0
DATA.fieldfixedlenghts:0
LineEntry.fieldfixedlengths:301
LineEntry.endSeparator:'nl'
Then it should work. Also you can use FileName in your variable substituition. Also please see this weblog on how to use FileName in variable substitution:
/people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2005/08/11/solution-to-the-problem-encountered-using-variable-substitution-with-xi-sp12
If you dont want to remove FileItem and LineItem then add these also in your content conversion. Then the parameters would be:
Recordset: TYPE,FileItem,FileName,DATA,LineItem,LineEntry
TYPE.fieldfixedlengths : 0
FileItem.fieldfixedlengths:0
FileName.fieldfixedlenghts:0
DATA.fieldfixedlenghts:0
LineItem.fieldfixedlengths : 0
LineEntry.fieldfixedlengths:301
LineEntry.endSeparator:'nl'

** File Content Conversion Error in Receiver CC - How to solve this?
Hi friends,
My target structure looks like below.
EmployeeJobDetails --> Message Type
JobCode --> Node
EmployeeNumber xsd:string
Domain xsd:string
JobTrack --> Node
Department xsd: string
Position xsd: string
I use the FCC parameters in the receiver CC as below:
Recordset Structure: JobCode,JobTrack
JobCode.fieldSeparator = |
JobCode.endSeparator = 'nl'
JobTrack.fieldSeparator = |
JobTrack.endSepartor = 'nl'.
Because, we want the output like below
1099|Raja
Accts|JuniorAccountant
1100|Ram
HR|Recruiter
like this.
In this scenario Source is XML and target is txt file.
I am using XSLT Mapping. The FCC works fine, if my source input file contains some records. But, when we send empty source XML file as below
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<EMPLOYEE_DATA/>
Mapping works fine. Message is processed successfully in SXMB_MONI. The payload in response also comes with Message Type name like below
<EmployeeJobDetails namespace >
</EmployeeJobDetails>
While convert this, the system throws below error.
Error Message:
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure '' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)': java.lang.Exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'Conversion configuration error: Unknown structure '' found in document', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'
Friend, how to convert this when source XML is empty.
But, if we remove JobTrack node in target strucutre and remove the JobTrack parameters in CC, then if we send the same empty XML file FCC is working fine and we get the target text file 0 KB. (Amazing !!)
But, in the first case, how to solve the issue?
Kind Regards,
Jegathees P.Hi friends,
If we remove JobTrack node in target strucutre and remove the JobTrack parameters in CC, then if we send the <b>same empty XML file</b> FCC is working fine and<b> we get the target text file 0 KB</b>. (Amazing !!)
But, if we give parameters like JobCode,JobTrack then send pass the same empty file, we face the problem 'File Content Conversion' Error.

Adapter error in file content conversion
Hi Friends,
I am using FILE receiver adapter, transport protocol- NFS, msg protocol-File content conversion.
Sending msg is an idoc. File is being sent to application server of the XI system (for test purpose)
The message is shown as successful in SXMB_MONI but no file is created .
In message monitoring for adapter engine an error is shown -
"<b></b>file adapter receiver channel <comm channel name> is not initialized. Unable to proceed MP: eception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.Recoverable Exception. Channle has not been correctly initialized & cannot process messages "<b></b>
However if i change the message protocol to FILE then it works correclt & a xml file is saved in system.
It seems the problem is with using file content conversion in the adapter farmework.
Can someone please help.Hi
