Error has occurred in download

I tried to update iPhoto a few days ago but had to pause the download. On attempting to restart the download today, the App Store says 'An error has occurred' and states, "iPhoto failed to download. Use the Purchases page to try again."
I have tried to re-activate the download in both Purchases and Updates pages. I have closed and re-opened the programme, deleted the cookie files from the Library, and shut down & re-launched my Mac (Mid-2011 iMac 27" running Mountain Lion).
Any suggestions on how to reactivate the download?
Thanks!

I was able to get it done following a variation of the procedure on this page...
http://www.ryanragle.com/index.php?/site/comments/where-does-the-mac-app-store-d ownload-temp-files-to
1. Open Terminal
2. Enter defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
3. Relaunch the AppStore
4. Choose the menu item Debug Menu -> Reset App
5. Choose the menu item Debug Menu -> Check for Available Downloads…
Step 4 or 5 isn't available in Mountain Lion so just skip if you don't see the menu option.  Anyway, it allowed me to restart the download without error.

  • 10.3 OS Upgrade error. An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later

HELP ! HELP ! HELP ! "An error has occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists." appears while attempting to upgrade or install BlackBerry Device Software. upgrading my Z10 OS to 10.3 on both (link & web). but facing same problem again and again. plz help. internet speed is 1mbps and working fine.

I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader method:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-10-OS-Device-Software/Upgrading-OS10-devices-using...
Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)
Good luck and let us know!

  • Wont update message displays: An error has occured while downloading software .......

    please help!!
Iam trying to update my playbook 16GB but each time i accept and try to apply the update i get a pop up in middle of screen saying:
An error has occured while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists.
now this is driving me insane no matter what i try it doesnt seem to manage to get past this step of the update!!
Has anybody got ANY tips or advice please!!

Without knowing if you have received an update before it's difficult to be sure. The last update was feb 2013 so don't know why you need an update, unless it's a wipe or a repair.
Lets assume you live in the "western world" then try a friend's house or a free wifi spot to do the update. it's easy for playbook to get upset with router wifi settings.

  • An error has occurred during download. Please try again later.

Starting yesterday whenever I try to create a package I receive the following error:
An error has occurred during download. Please try again later.
The error appears with a yellow exclamation point next to each of the titles included in a package. I also receive the error on machines that I have used to package previously and have caches of the programs already. Is anyone else seeing this issue?
    Thanks.

What is your connection via speedtest.net ?
Check istumbler or netstumbler to verify network interference

  • HT4463 "An error has occurred" while downloading software on appstore

I have been attempting to resume a download. I received the (unhelpful) message that "an error has occurred" and once I attempted to download it again the install/download button went blank and unresponsive. I've tried opening the debug menu and removing the files from the dowload folder and starting again and I get the same problem again.

Give it a week, there's been server issues for that long.

Try this one. There is some troubleshooting information and a link to contact them.
    App Store Support
This has worked for some people.
    - Sign out of the App Store (in the Store menu)
    - Quit the App Store
    - In Finder - Go>Go to folder...  (or Apple-shift-G)
    - Paste in the following "~/Library/Caches/ "
    - It will take you to a folder.  Delete com.apple.appstore
    - Launch the App Store.  Sign in and then reclick the Mountain Lion buy.  It won't charge you again.

  • An unknown error has occured when downloading apps on my ipad

Im trying to download an app on my ipad but everytime i try it says unknown error has occured and it shuts down the proccess. what should i do???

Try this. Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to download an app.
If you are not running iOS 6 it will be Settings>Store>Apple ID.

  • Getting "An error has occurred" on download of Mountain Lion, button has no label and doesn;t do anything when pushed

The download of Mountain lion failed, when I resumed it, I got "An error as occurred" and the button label went blank.  when pushing the button, nothing happens.  The purchase item when to a new category in the Purchases page in the Mac App Store, it is titled "Other Purchases" and is at the top of the Purchases page, probably due to the fact that this was a redemption from the UpToDate mode for a new MacBook.  The "Other Purchases" category remains on the page when I sign out of the App Store.

    Launch the App Store.
From the App Store menu bar (top of your screen) click Check for Unfinished Downloads
If that doesnt help, try here >   Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
