Error: I cannot view any PDF files without launching Reader and accepting end User agreement. I have already downloaded Reader.
I am getting an error message when I go to open a PDF file on my MAC that says "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the end user agreement. I have already downloaded Reader many times and followed all of the troubleshooting options. I have matched up my software, which is the latest version and checked to make sure my internet security is enabling java script. I don't know what to do. Please help.
Chrome uses it's own pdf viewer. That's why you don't get the message.
If you are still having the problem on a Mac try:
Make sure your files are not hidden : http://osxdaily.com/2009/02/25/show-hidden-files-in-os-x/
Quit Safari and Adobe Reader if running.
Go to HD/<Users>/<user name>/Library/Preferences/ delete com.adobe.Reader.plist
Launch Adobe Reader from /Applications/
You should be prompted to accept EULA.
If on a Windows machine, do what Bernd described above. Launch Adobe Reader on it's own, not by double clicking a pdf or a link in a browser.

where is button to accept end user agreement so I can download or read online file. mac osx reader XI
every time i click on a file to downloac
i get a reader message Before viewing PDF ... you must launch adobe reader and then accept the End User License Agreement. Ive searched every part of the menu for this and cant fine itOk, so the Reader app works. Fine, but why did you say ",the reader won't open any more", that led us a confusing direction.
Ok, the problem is most likely caused because you downloaded Acrobat Pro, which takes over from Reader, then got rid of it. You now have part of Acrobat in Safari, not part of Adobe Reader.
There are two things to try to fix this. The first and easiest is to download and install Adobe Reader again. That should puts its stuff back in Safari with a bit of luck.
Important note for others following this thread. Downloading Adobe Reader is not going to help you if you have not understood and followed the instructions to "launch" Adobe Reader (or Adobe Acrobat). Make sure you understand what "launch" means before downloading anything again. -
I recently updated my Mac operating system and now regularly get the above message whenever I click on website pdf(s). I have tried to relaunch Adobe Reader - but nothing remotely resembling an end user license agreement ever shows up. I can find nothing on the Adobe "help" sections that mentions anything about this problem. Any suggestions?
Tried this any number of times. I double click on the icon and nothing comes up - there is no lead, no directions, nothing comes up. I click on page top menu bar and can access legal notice page - but no end user agreement page shows up. Do I have to delete all Adobe Reader software and start over with a fresh download?

I get a message "before viewing pdf documents i must launch adobe reader and accept end user licence
I get a message "before viewing documents in this browser you must launch adobe reader and accept the end user licence agreement then quit and relaunch the browser". How do I do this?
Just launch Adobe Reader. Assuming you are on a Mac, all apps are launched from Applications.

Hello,
At which point during the Flash Player installation process are you prompted to open a browser to view a PDF document?
Can you verify if Flash Player is successfully installed by visiting http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html?
Thank you.

i already have the software installed, yet i see nowhere i can accept this agreement and move on?
Adobe Reader for iOS does not display a user license agreement dialog. It sounds like you have the desktop version of Adobe Reader.

What is wrong with Reader? Having loaded it I now cannot open any .pdf file in my computer or on email.

I gave up loading then scouring out Adobe products each time it told me Flash Player was loaded but was nowhere to be found on my system. I have now done what I expect is the intention in that I have downloaded the full Adobe trial pack, which they then expect me to purchase.
Cannot get over the impression that the fault is deliberate. Building in the requirement for all users then loading a weak link, that drives you to purchase.
Shockwave is FREE... Flash Player is FREE.... Adobe Reader is FREE... Adobe AIR is FREE... Those four products are, and always have been, FREE... Flash Professional, which is for creating and editing Flash animation and video files, is a paid licensed product. Acrobat Professional, which is for creating and editing PDFs, is a paid licensed product. Neither Flash Player nor Adobe Reader have any links to prompt an upgrade to the professional version of software for the file format. Never have. Viewing Flash content and PDFs needs to be universally available to the public who receive such content over the Internet. Creating and editing Flash files and PDFs is not something that everyone needs, so it's only available at a cost for those who need it and choose to use Flash Pro or Acrobat.
There are Creative suites with several Adobe applications for everything from photo and graphic editing, to video editing, to making e-readers, to web design, but those are for developers of the individual media. -

I cannot open any pdf files on my mac book air. I used to be able to open them. It was suggested that I get OS Mountain Lion and I did. still can't. Any ideas?
You can download Adobe Reader from adobe.com. The Mac OSX uses its "reader" to open PDF files without the Adobe Reader. If you downloader adobe reader, it should open all PDF files. Hope this helps.

cannot open any pdf file with safari
download adobe acrobat reader for free, saves all PDF files and ideally open under Acrobat
there are much more options for using and viewing the options native in Acrobat than in Safari, obviously. -

I cannot open any pdf files in Safari on my Mac Book
I cannot open any pdf-files using Safari anymore. Does anybody know what is going on?
Thank´s a lot!Found the solution online!
An easy way to locate a file is to open the Finder. From the menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this in exactly as you see it here > /Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you see the PDF Browser plugin, move it to the Trash.
Relaunch Safari to test.
