When i try to test a HTTP service it says ICMAN not Active. I am trying to upload a photo of an employee, thru transaction OAAD it says 'HTTP Plugin not Active'

Hi, Test your content repository server using TC - SICF also check its up and running using TC: CSADMIN.

In SMICM, ICM Status is showing as Running. When we test the ICMAN service in SICF is gives an error "ICMAN NOT ACTIVE".

Check for HTTP/HTTPS service status:
go to transaction SMICM
SMICM->goto->services
do you see HTTP protocol is maintained and active?

ICMAN not Active error in SICF

Hi All,
I am working with Consuming Webservices. I am working on ECC 5.0 system.
In SICF when I have activated following services :
/default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap
/default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system
/default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/public/bc
/default_host/sap/public/bc
/default_host/sap/public/bc/ur
/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public
/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/public/bc
/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/system
/default_host/sap/public/bsp/sap/htmlb
But when I am testing any of the services I am getting an Error message "ICMAN not ACTIVE" in SICF.
This happens even after /default_host/sap/public/icman is activated using context menu 'Activate service'.
Please guide me in this.

Activation error: Printer not activated, error code 20

I have had my officejet 4215 all-in-one printer well over a year and it has connected and printed whatever I wanted. Yesterday when I wanted to print an email it would not and the following box popped up: Activation error: Printer not activated, error code 20. Then the next box that popped up said: Printer Error An unknown error occurred while printing.
If I copy the email over to a Microsoft Windows page, then i can print it fine.
Any idea how to fix this so I can print email's like I used to?

HUPAST error - Material not activated

Hi All,
I am using HUPAST tcode to perform packing along with scanning UPC barcode of the material packing. I have a profile created for HU with ref to DELIVERY for the plant. So, everything works when I use HUPAST and not use the scanner. Delivery is entered, followed by packaging material entry and finally selecting the material to be packed along with quantity (in our case we have picked defaulting the quantity to 1).
But when we use scanners to enter UPC code of the packaging of material, UPC code returns SAP material number but system gives a error message "Material xxxxxx doesn't exist or is not activated". This looks like a hard error but if you press enter, material is packed in the HU. Why is this error message coming, as we want the process to be during packing packer goes to HUPAST and enter delivery along with packaging material. Then keep scanning each carton and put in the box (equivalent to putting 1 pcs of material in HU). But now user has to press enter to pass the error message.
I think either this is some master data setup or scanner issue.

It was a SAP code error and OSS note was created and applied later. Now when we scan UPC, material number is recognised.

Error "Personalization not activated." when trying to set personal

Hi Everyone,
Was wondering if anyone has encountered this situation.
I have a crystal report reporting off of sap bw using bw mdx driver which I view through an iview in SAP portal. When I select the parameter values for a parameter using the picklist, I try to personalize it and I get "Personalization not activated."
I find that some parameters I am able to personalize, but when I try to view the report again the settings are not kept.
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for the hint, We enabled personalization, but we encountered another issue. It seems that the value that gets stored is invalid.
i.e.
I select the value for cost centre.
The value of the cost centre is [0COSTCENTER].[BTT10000011003] - Accounting
The value that gets stored for personalization is 0BTT1/11003. I confirmed in the DSO as well that this was the value stored. When I try to run the report using the personalized values I get an database connector error.
Running the query in rsrt we get the following error Value "0BTT1/11003" for variable "Cost Centre" is invalid.
Any ideas?

Transformation giving this error "Source not active"

I'm trying to create transformation and I am getting this error message "Source not active". I went in to source system (in my case it is flat file). I activated the source system again but I get the error still.
Please guide.

Hi,
As others have suggested, activate the DATA SOURCE and also try to view data in your flat file . you can find this option in the last tab in the data source. if your souce is active , it will allow you to see the data, this way also you can confirm is its active or not.
You mentioend that you have activated the source system, not a data source...
Try again activating the data source, it should solve your problem.

ICMAN is not active

Hello,
There is a strange problem in my ECC5.0 system. When I enter SICF and try to test one of the services (no matter what) I get error: "ICMAN not active"
icman service is active, I've tried to restart it but I still got the error I mentioned above.
Any ideas ?

can you please check wether the parameter:
rdisp/start_icman = true
has been set up?
If yes: go to Tr. SMICM -> GOTO -> SERVICES
are the HTTP (and eventually HTTPS) services active?

"User not activated" ...I'm getting this error message repeatedly with my Nook.

Using Adobe Digital Editions, I copied a book from ADE on my laptop to my Nook, but I keep getting the error, "User not activated." I've tried the steps described here:

but I still got the same result about 5 times. Does anyone know who to get past this to open the book?

This has been fixed. Answer is that I needed to go to "Apple Software Update" and repair it. (From my Control Panel).

Error: "Component is not active" but component is active

Hi Experts,
I transported a Web Dynpro application from source system to target system. When starting the application via browser I'm getting this error message:
"Component XXX_BDB is not active"
But the component is active in source and in target system. When I try to activate the component in target system there comes this error:
Component XXX_BDB can't be generated because of errors: see long text.
(Message no. SWDP_WB_TOOL100)
According to the long text, there is a heavy error and I should check the component in order to eliminate the errors. Checking the syntax is OK and strangely, the component controller is also active. But when I want to start WebDynpro-Component, the error message "Component is not active" is displayed.
I have checked this thread [Problems when activating ComponentController |Problems when activating ComponentController; without any effect....
Does someone have any ideas?

where can I check the generation load limit?
I've done an extended syntax check (in source system, is that okay or should I do the check on both systems?), there are some errors regarding strings, field properties and structure extensions and some warnings regarding field properties.
But this errors are on an other wd component as well, but this other component is running, so I'm not sure if these errors are crucial. However I'm going to fix the errors now.
Baskaran, I will check the component controller and component usage as well but how can I identify the errors or should I just check it in general?
And what about the fact that both applications are running on the source system?
Additional info: the source system is ECC 6.0, the target system is Solution Manager 7.0

NOOK Simple Touch says "Error Dialog: user not activated" whenever I try to open e-books?

I have had my Nook Simple Touch for about a year now, and I have been using Adobe Digital Editions without a problem. Now, all of the sudden, Barnes and Noble updated my software and I can't read any of my ADE books!! It just says "Error Dialog: User not activated" every time I click on them. I have looked at many other websites and I have tried plugging my nook in to my computer and reauthorizing it, reauthorizing my computer, deleting the digital editions file and .adobe-digital-editions file, redownloading my books, turning my nook off and on, crying, and screaming. The weird thing is, in all the instructions, it says a pop-up box will come up when I delete the files, but it never does. Is that normal? I always have to do it manually by clicking on the gear. I even made sure I "unhid" all the hidden files. I HAVE DONE EACH OF THESE AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND THEY NEVER WORK!!! HELP ME, PLEASE.
Also, a lot of the websites say to make sure your Barnes and Noble ADE I.D. is the same as the one on your ADE computer I.D.. Is the B&N ADE I.D. different from just the Barnes and Noble ID? Becasue I have been using my sisters email for my computer ADE and my email for the B&N I.D.. Are they supposed to be the same? If so, how come I was able to use it without a problem before?? I tried reauthorizing ADE with my email, because I also have an ADE account with my email, but then it wouldn't let me redownload my books onto the new account. Does this mean I have to change the ADE computer I.D. and wait until my books are available again to read them? Is that the way to fix it? UGH!

Just to clarify, there are two levels of Authorization -- one for the ADE software and one for the nook. You have to use your Adobe account to authorize both (and they have to be authorized with the same user name). It sounded like your original problem (Kcoline) was with the Nook authorization, and it was the same problem the rest of us were having.
To get your files back, I suggest carefully reading over the "Activation and Authorization" section of the ADE help. It appears that ADE will automatically find your files but note the "Note" in quoted text below...

If it's not finding your files, it may be because they're located in a folder different from the one that ADE is trying to use to find them.
You may also want to check the "Transferring items between computers" section, as this describes where the files should be located, and how to reimport them into your library.

We'vs installed SAP IDES in our Landscape recently. Whenever I tried to create a new material using MM01 transaction code, it creates. But then when I tried to view the same in MM03 or MM02 it throws an error of the following,
The material XXXXX does not exist or is not activated
Message no. M3305
I'm unable to diagonis the problem properly. Will appreciate your help.

But unfortunately we don't have any Basis Guy separately. I was doubling up as Basis as well APO in my org . I'm pretty new to all these stuff. I searched in help.sap.com about this a lot, but couldn't find anything useful.

When I try to print from web page I get "printer not activated - error code 30", but I can copy text into Word document & printer works.

I am unable to print anything from an internet web page. I continually get "printer not activated, error code- 30" followed by "An unknown error occurred while printing". I can copy the material from the web page, place into a Word document and then print. This just started yesterday and I have no idea why. Would appreciate your advice!

I had Adobe upgraded to from 1.2. to 4.1 on my Glow Light Nock at Barnes and Noble yesterday. I use a MacBook Pro 2011 upgraded to 10.10.1. I have never had a problem download a book from the library to my nook in the past. By the time I get this issue resolved, my 2 week book will be overdue and my book club discussion 1/21. I have been to the genius bar at Apple store--not their problem. Two trips to B&N and
the tech guy said he could fix the problem on a PC but not a Mac. It is not a Mac or Nook world.
