Error id: 10000

So I bought a new Playbook a week or so ago.
I'm trying to purchase applications on the AppWorld but when I try to download something, I get an error ID 10000.
Reading around, some people suggested the following:
- Hard Reboot
- Security wipe and relog with same BBID
- Security wipe and create a new BBID
I did all the above and none work. I have the latest OS version that came out recently (updated today).
I do not want to create a paypal account.
I do not have another credit card.
I can download any free application with no problems whatsoever.
My credit card is valid. I use it everyday.
What can I do? I'm out of ideas. I'm annoyed. The Playbook was a gift to my wife so she can use it for many things, one being an ereader. Unfortunately, all her ebooks are in epub format so right now, she cannot use it as an ereader unless I download the ebook reader app.
Thanks!

Blackberry Support Team - What is the status on this issue where user ARE NOT able to make a purchase via App World using a credit card?  Credit card setup correctly and working with other merchants/vendors (including Apple's iTunes).  No issue downloading the free apps, but the value proposition and customer satisfaction is the advanced applications that require a purchase!
This issue has been outstanding for virtually one-year at this stage, which continues to contribute to the lost-leader position of RIM.  Lack of focus, wrong focus, exceptionally slow time-to-market and poor customer service resolving simple issues like this that also impact's RIM's revenue and competitive positiong.  Continued demonstration of "what not to do" by a vendor...

  • Order Frauded (Error Id: 10000)

    Hello.
I tried up upgrade a previously purchased app today on my Curve 9300, and received an "Order Frauded (Error Id: 10000)" message.
After some searching here and elsewhere on the web, I tried a number of things including:
Change payment from PayPal to credit card
Verified all payment information within by BlackBerry ID
Verified all PayPal card and address information
Created and linked a brand new PayPal account
    Hard resets (battery pull)
Removal and reinstallation of App World (3.1.0.60)
App World cache clear (Alt R S T)
All without success...  The "Order Frauded (Error Id: 10000)" error remains, both trying to purchase an app upgrade and also when trying to purchase a new app.
I found lots of references to Error Id 10000, but no specific reference to the (gramatically questionable) Order Frauded message.
The last time I successfully purchased an app was in Decmeber.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Don't even bother dude...I had this problem ever since I purchased a BB...blackberry tech obviously dont give 2 stuffs about the matter.  Tried Visa, mastercard, paypal, prepaid credit cards, debit cards all with out success...if its not an order frauded message its an authorization problem message.  These fools have stolen atleast 10 dollars of me in 1 dollar fund checks and still no avail. >.<

  • Frustrating Error ID 10000 on App World

I have started to get app world purchase rejections (ID 10000) on my PlayBook. All methods I can use to pay are in good standing. The problem is either with app world or Digital River.
Either way, it is RIM's issue, because I'll be changing platforms to Android or Apple if RIM won't take my money.
I've seen several references to this issue on various forums, with no real track record of successful resolution.
If there is anyone out there who has run into this and beat it, please advise!
    Thanks

Thanks, but we're way past online documentation, sadly. I have accounted for the small set of possibilities listed in that piece.
I've looked up this issue, and on the infrequent occasions this problem pops up on a forum such as this, direction to RTFM has typically not resulted in success.
If anyone has direct experience solving this issue, I'd appreciate hearing from them.
I have sent an email to appworld support. If I get successful resolution from them, I'll post it here.
    Thanks.

  • Payment trouble on appworld error id 10000

The appworld is not validating my credit card and I am sure there is nothing wrong with it. I have been using it IPAD for 1 year now. I can not get the payments through paypal as well. I have no trouble with moneybrookers. I need a solution as I can only use the free Apps for now.
If you have the same problem, please reply to the post so that Blackberry and the developers can estimate the amount of revenue loss.
    Thanks for your support

I have been in a long-running battle with customer support regardfing error 13000.To make a long story short, signing into to App World and seting up my payment options using my PC's browser seemed to work for me - then waiting an hour. They seem to be aware of the problem now but they really need to fix App World on the PlayBook so that can check our payment status directly form the device. Here is a snippet of my last communicqtion from customer support.

    Hello Maurice,
Thank you very much for taking time to reply.
Your valuable feedback has really  been quite helpful to improvise our technical support protocols.

    Thanks for this update!
The KB wording reflects exactly what happend to me after my bbid was
re-created and I had set my payment options via my desk-top computer's
    browser.
However, I encountered the initial problem using a bbid that I had set up
some time ago and (apperently) the payment options had not been set up
properly at the time it was created. In this case, advising the customer to
wait an hour would not solve the problem. It would improve the palybook app
world experience greatly if the cryptic 13000 message could be modified to
invite the customer to check her payment options via her pc in the case that
there was not a recent change AND to wait an hour for any changes to
propagate. Even better would be if a playbook dialog would automatically
open to allow the customer to check payment options directly on the device
and also advising him to wait a while before reattempting the purchase.
I hope this has been helpful.

    Hi,
I believe these are the commands (round and do shell script) which causes this error.
because it's not recommended to use commands of the osax "Standard Additions"  in the 'tell application "System Events"' block, although it works most of the time.
Here is the modified script that does the same thing :
    set expectedNumberOfHardDisks to 2
    set minimumFreeSpacePercentage to 60
    set sendToAddresses to {"[email protected]"}
set sendImmediately to false -- If this setting is false the message will be created but won't be sent until someone manually clicks the "send" button. Only useful for testing!!!

tell tDisk to set percentFree to (100 * (its free space)) div (its capacity)
                   if percentFree < minimumFreeSpacePercentage then
set almostFull to almostFull & (get name of tDisk) & ", "
                   end if
              end try
         end repeat
    end tell
set notEnoughDisks to (count hardDisks) < expectedNumberOfHardDisks
if notEnoughDisks or (almostFull is not "") then

if notEnoughDisks then set messageText to messageText & " * A hard disk drive may be missing" & return
if almostFull is not "" then
set computername to do shell script "/usr/sbin/networksetup -getcomputername"
set messageText to messageText & " * The following hard disks may be close to full capacity: " & almostFull & computername & return

  • Errors -1450 and -10000 when trying to download music.

Can't contact Apple via Express Lane as the page has errors.  Have tried everything!  Please help!  Error -1450 says it is an unknown error and -10000 says the file is corrupt.  Have tried downloading again, and rebooting PC but nothing.  Have reported a problem through Purchase History but have no way of contacting Apple support due to errors on the Express Lane website.  If anyone has any tips, I would really appreciate it.  Thank you!!

"The reason why you can't see the burn key is that you can't import songs from the iPod to the computer."
The reason the burn button is not visible is because you cannot burn cds directly from the iPod as btabz said previously. It has nothing to do with importing songs from the iPod to iTunes (which incidentally, can be achieved in many ways).

Do they all have to be set to the US format for this to work?
If this is a regional setting thing, do I have to change the format on all of the servers (CIAC components)?

  • Applescript save fails with error -10000

    Hi,
I'm trying to save email attachments in Applescript, but I get failures when I try to do so. Here's my little script:
    tell application "Mail"
              set theMessages to selection
              repeat with thisMessage in theMessages
set theAttachments to thisMessage's mail attachments
                        repeat with thisAttachment in theAttachments
                                  set theAttachmentFileName to "~/Desktop/temp/" & thisAttachment's name
      save thisAttachment's contents in theAttachmentFileName
                        end repeat
              end repeat
    end tell
In the "Events" tab of the Applescript Editor, I see that the "save thisAttachment" line results in an error -10000:
save mail attachment id "1" of message id 82265 of mailbox "INBOX" of account "Gmail" in "~/Desktop/temp/test.png"
      --> error number -10000
    Result:
error "Mail got an error: AppleEvent handler failed." number -10000
I can't help but think that I'm running into Lion's new sandboxing trick, and it doesn't allow me to save the attachment for some reason but it doesn't tell me what the reason is. I have tried some other mail saving Applescripts floating around on the net but they all seem to run into the same problem. I've repaired parmissions, re-configured mail and tried different attachments. Same error all the time.

I had the same problem downloading an album - all files downloaded except one, giving the corrupted message. I saw another thread that said it worked if you disable the adware checker in your anti-virus/firewall. I use Kaspersky and disabled the anti-Banner setting - the problem file then downloaded. Strange it should only fail on one file however.

  • Applescript error -10000

I have used, for a long time, an applescript I wrote to save out email attachments I get from students. The script gives the files new filenames so that I can tell which student the attachment is from, and so that another script I wrote for the finder can send the files back to the students after I've inserted my comments. After upgrading to Mountain Lion the script seems to be crapping out at the save step with an error number -10000. I can't seem to find any documentation on this error, and I have no idea what might have changed in applescript or OS X on Mountain Lion to cause this. Any ideas?
    Here's my script:
set theOutputFolder to (choose folder) as string
    tell application "Mail"
              set msgList to selection
              repeat with msg in msgList
set currentName to (sender of msg as rich text)
set theAttachments to every mail attachment of msg
repeat with a from 1 to length of theAttachments
set theAttachment to item a of theAttachments
set theAttachmentName to name of theAttachment as string
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to "."
set theAttachmentDelimit to the text items of theAttachmentName
set theAttachmentType to last item of theAttachmentDelimit
                                  try
                                            set thefileName to currentName & a & "." & theAttachmentType
set theSavePath to theOutputFolder & thefileName
      save theAttachment in theSavePath
                                  end try
                        end repeat
              end repeat
    end tell
And here's the relevant error (stripped of identifying information with ******):
save mail attachment id "3" of message id 85686 of mailbox "INBOX" of account "UAF" in "Steinitz:Users:*****:Dropbox:Courses:UAF:12Fall:631:HomeworkSolutions:HW1:***** ***** <*****@*****.edu>2.pdf"
      --> error number -10000

OK, I have a cludgy solution worked out, using a shell script to move the file from a location Applescript/Mail can save to, to the location I actually want the file to go. Here's the modified script that works.
set theOutputFolder to (choose folder) as string
    tell application "Mail"
      activate
              set msgList to selection
              repeat with msg in msgList
set currentName to extract name from msg's sender
set theAttachments to every mail attachment of msg
repeat with a from 1 to length of theAttachments
set theAttachment to item a of theAttachments
set theAttachmentName to name of theAttachment as string
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to "."
set theAttachmentDelimit to the text items of theAttachmentName
set theAttachmentType to last item of theAttachmentDelimit
                                  try
                                            set thefileName to currentName & a & "." & theAttachmentType
set theSavePath to "drivename:Users:usename:Downloads:" & thefileName
      save theAttachment in theSavePath
set posixSaved to quoted form of POSIX path of theSavePath
set posixSaveto to POSIX path of theOutputFolder
set posixSaveto to posixSaveto & thefileName
set sscommand to "mv " & posixSaved & " " & quoted form of posixSaveto

    Hi Jason
There is a typo in the documentation, the name of the procedure is:
    executeNativeUpdateQuery
By the way, you can get the full procedure list by entering the following query in the administrator
    SELECT * FROM leselect.system.procedures
    Hope this helps,
    Fred
