Error ID = -199
When trying to open one particular Digital Performer file I get the following message:
An error occurred while reading from disk
The file ... was not loaded
ID = -199
I know this is a mapReadErr but I want to know if there is a solution so that I can salvage my file.

I would try Data Rescue

A few days ago, i noticed that my subscribed podcasts were not downloading. The above error message was returned instead. I could find no reference to a Code 199 online and hoped that the issue was temporary. It seems that it may not be.
I've tried:
- restarting the computer
- logging out and back into my iTunes account
- removing and re-subscribing to a particular podcast
- purchasing an app from the app store (this works fine)
- purchasing a song from iTunes (this returns the same error code on the computer, but downloads and plays on my iPhone)
- following the steps from this article -- http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297 -- i turned off the firewall
- also, i deleted the NetworkInterfaces.plist file and restarted my computer
- checked to see if media will play through itunes from the external drive where all my iTunes media is stored (OK)
- connecting through my iPhone's 3G connection, rather than through my Time Capsule / cable modem
I cannot recall anything that was new or changed when this issue began. I typically refresh my podcasts once every day or two.
I'm using a MacBook with OS X 10.7.5 and iTunes 11.1.5.
I'm looking forward to suggestions from the community.

Occasionally, after an attempt to refresh my podcasts, iTunes will crash. A long report is displayed, but i think maybe the following excerpt may mean something to someone here:

And the second thing is that i created a new user account and tried to download a podcast, and it worked fine, synced to my iPod Nano properly.

Weird Problem! Previews in Finder okay, won't open in QT!!
This has really got me stuffed! I have a few video files which preview fine in Mac OS X's Finder in column view or when doing a Get Info, but when I double click on them or try to open them from within Quicktime, I get the following error message:
Quicktime cannot open the file: "Clip 06" an unknown error occured (-199).
This happens with a number of files. I'm using Quicktme 7.0.2.
Any suggestions?

I'm really sorry you may have lost some files.
In the "old days" (when hard drive space was a premium) it was the default settings of most video editing software to create a "reference" file.
This file only "pointed" to the data used in the file's creation and didn't create a "new" file. It only "pointed" to the new files (like an alias only points to the original).
When you remove the original "source" (deleting the original) there is no way any software can reconstruct the file.
The default settings in most software now doesn't create a "reference". But you must pay attention to the save dialog window. -
I am running 10.3.7 on a G5. I am trying to download 10.3.9 combo update MacOSXUpdateCombo10.3.9.dmg (117MB). It downloads but then fails to mount. This is the fifth attempt to upgrade my system. Am I missing something?
I ran Disk Utility yesterday, and fixed any issues with permissions issues. Any thoughts?In Safari, (Download monitor) the file download, but then stops short of expanding, leaving a "Mounting failed" message in the Downloads window.
When I double-click the downloaded file, I get an error message -199.
When I double click the file in the download window, I get the message "Safari can't open the file because it is still downloading."
Yes, I did a Get Info on the file, and it is linked to DiskImageMounter.

Y scales of graph appear at wrong/different places
I have a single graph that displays multiple plots. The user dynamically chooses which 2 of the 8 plots are displayed at a time. The Y axis scale for each plot is different. When I change the Y axis scale for the different plots and then run the program the Y scale gets shifted away from the graph. I've tried to change the Y scale graphically and programtically but either way has not worked. HELP! I am attaching the VIs and sub VIs. (The graph property nodes and all things relating to the graph are in the right WHILE loop)

The purpose for having a left and a right control for all the plots is to be able to display any 2 plots (with their Y scales) at a time (so that they can be compared). Also the Y scales should be adjacent to the plot area. If you run your edited version you will see that for the first plot the Y scale is adjacent but for all subsequent plots the Y scale moves away from the plot area. It moves away from the plot area for no apparent reason! i really need to solve this problem..please help!

Attached is a file that is very nearly what I want (I.e. all the Y scales are adjacent to the plot area and thus easy to read). However when I change the multiplier for any of the Y scales they move away
from the plot area. I hope I am making sense!

Worker Stuck in Skip & Restart Status in ADCTRL
During autopatch adupgrade, I had to skip some files so that I can run manually at the end (because of invalid OLAP). So, I used hidden option 8 in adctrl so that I can change status of workers 1,2 & 7 to "Skip & restart". Now, it seems it is stuck in this state as no activity is shown anymore either in adctrl or in adpatch.

since you deleted the cusomer master and since your number assignment is internal , once you delete the customer master you would not be able to create the customer master with same OLD Number range , it will take a new number this time for the sold to party which is created.....
and that is why the old one will not work , use the customer master and it should work fine ...

Logic pro 9.1.7 keeps crashing when I use midi
Hi I only got my mac + logic pro a couple of months ago and it crashes when I'm not even doing anything heavy duty, just recording some piano, using a couple of tracks - it especially doesn't like it when I use the score - I get the Spinning Beach Ball of Death and then when I force quit it gives me the below info. Any help would be gratefully recieved I keep losing work! xx (It's fine when I use just audio)

I just looked at a small project with 8 audio tracks 44.1kHz at 24 bits.
When I start the project my disk meter pegs to the red, the reason is.... Logic is not only reading the file for playback it's reading ahead and filling the audio buffers which have been greatly increased in later version of Logic.
Possibilities...
-As AD2 pointed out, check your disk format, some external disks come PC formatted.
-Your recording format 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz 16 or 24 bit?
-Are any samples used on other tracks being pulled off a drive?
Disk acces spikes are not that big a deal.. -

In my initial research I have found that with servlet version 3.0 in web.xml JAX-RS scanning is a key feature of Javaee 6. And weblogic uses jersey for it.
Is there any way to tell weblogic to not look for Jersey jars that are already in its modules folder.
Note: I have following weblogic.xml present in war file:

I have a form built on a view. Instead of using the automatic row processing for updates (which won't really work on this view) I want to have a procedure handle the updates. This is my standard way of working in Forms 9i.

Looks like your items are not in the arguments in the procedure. It is my guess based on the numbers that you created a form on a view with more then 100 columns. At this time (including APEX 2.2) you are limited to 100 items per page. My recommendation is to break up your form over multiple pages; you may find it works faster as well.

Intermittent delays in request getting from WSM OHS to WSM/ESB
Intermittently, we are experiencing a lag of several minutes between the time a request appears in WSM OHS logs and when it
finally appears in the WSM gateway.log. Then it gets to the ESB, gets processed, and a response is sent back to the client.
The problem is that our user's client times-out and disconnects by the time ESB processes the request and therefore they never receive the response.
Our environment is HA with WSM/ESB v10.1.3.4.
When this happens, around the time a request is sent we see time-out/connection errors in WSM OHS Apache error logs:

Equium A60 -199: ITunes and Mat****a UJ-830s (error 4280)
I am unable to burn CD on my notebook. This previously has never been a problem, however recently no matter what type of burn software I use I cannot burn to cd. I am currently using ITunes version 6 and after the cd burning process starts my computer ejects the cd and I get error 4280.
I have read a few different posts on this on other forums which suggest using different CD to re-installing an older version of Itunes ( I am currently using v6), however the most interesting one seemed to come from Hewlett Packard's support site. They suggest opening the cd configuration folder and editing the file gcdrtype.cfg. This was applicable for a certain type of compaq presario desktop pc and goes on to advise to edit a line in the narrative, save and reboot and voila. The problem should be solved. Since I own a Toshiba eqium a60 -199 I wonder if anyone knows of a similar fix/solution to the problem.
I am also intrigued by the following message that Itunes CD diagnostics produces when i run it:

If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.
Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard.
Is this the root of my problem? How do I get this update?
If anyone can guide me in the right direction to solving my problem and getting me back to cd burning heaven, I would be most grateful.

It is always very problematic if you use some, ion my opinion, "exotic" software. I have noticed that most users on this forum use "standard" applications like NERO burning ROM.
If nobody can give you an answer try to contact ITunes support and explain them the situation. They have enough experience with own product. Check also if there is any FAQ page. Sorry but I can not tell you anything that can help.
