Error (IES10901) (WIS 10901) while refreshing the Webi report

Hi Gurus,
We have created webi reports using Universe design tool on top of BEX Query based on 0SD_C03 cube and now we are facing Database error: A runtime exception has occured. (Error loading cube 0sd_c03 (catalog : % 3). (IES 10901 ) (WIS 10901) while trying to refresh the Webi report from Data Access--> Edit--> Run Query while its running fine when I refresh the report using refresh button option in Webi.
When I run the the query in rsrt its working absolutely fine.
Note that we are using BOBJ 4.0 SP7 and this issue has come recently.
Any idea or help on this would be appreciated.

are you getting this error constantly or sometimes?
what type of connection are you using for your Webi report
Is it Specified user name/password OLAP connection or SSO Olap connection
If your are using Specified user name/password OLAP then try with SSO connection because SAp recommendation is not to use Specified user name/password OLAP connections..to resolve this kind of issues please restart DSL bridge..

Hi all,
I created WebI report based on universe that is connected to Excel data. Through DSN I m accesing Excel Data . I created same DSN in server also. If I refresh the webI Report in BO server it tells the following error.
A database error occured. The database error text is: [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] System resource exceeded.. (WIS 10901)
Before that its working fine. what may be the problem?

Error (WIS 10901) while creating a webi report against SAP data source

Hi,
While creating a webi report against a universe created using Infocube/Bex query (basically SAP data source) get a error message -
A database error occured. The database error text is: A runtime exception has occured. (License key check failed. Check that you are licensed to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901).
Any clues whether this is a license issue or something else?

I am having the same problem. I checked and double checked everything, including deleting and recreating the Universe and the Connection. No improvement. On a whim, I deleted the hierarchy from the query on which the Universe was based, and recreated the Universe on the query without the hierarchy. The problem went away.
Now, the question is, why do I get the WIS 10901 error when a hierarchy is present in the query/Universe?

Hi,
If it's not the universe limits, then I think you've hit the "MDX result contains too many cells" (more than 1million) problem.
So, I suspect a long running query, no filters/variable restrictions, and You've probably got a dump in ST22.
I don't know what BW you have, but if it is BW 7, do you have Enhancement Pack 01 and SP05<->10 ?
You should check out all the latest corrections from component BW-BEX-OT-MDX
the final proof of the pudding would be to enable MDA / SOFA log , capture the MDX SELECT statement and test it in BW MDXTEST - i bet you get the same error there.

Error While Run the WebI Report on SAP BW Query

I have build the universe on SAP BW Query . I built the same universe on the SAP BW DEV and SAP BW Test
When I tried to run the WEBI Report on the Universe which is built on the SAP BW Test
WebI Report is prompting for the below values
Calendar Year
Profit Center
Profit Center Hierarchy
Version.
Here I can see the List of values for the Calendar Year and Profit Center. Its giving me below error when I look for list of values for the Profit Center and Profit Center Hierarchy.

My Questions:
1.     Why I am getting this error. Because of authentication or configurations set on the Profit Center and Profit Center Hierarchy objects? If so , please let me know what I need to set?

- the BI Query in the Test system is running correct and all the variables do work ?
     Yes, BI Query is working fine in the Test System and I can see all the variables too
In BI Query I can see values for Calendar Year, Version, Profit Center, Profit Center Hierarchy

Yes, Universe has all the variables.
- do you see values in the Web Intelligence prompts when you run the report ?
   No,
   I can only see values for the Calendar Year & Version in the Web Intelligence Prompt.
When I try to see values for the Profit Center & Profit Center Hierarchy in the Web Intelligence Prompt, its showing below error.

Getting error while refreshing a Webi reports for a specific universe

Hi Experts I am trying to refresh a WEBI Report but getting this error: A database error occured.
The database error text is (cs)"Specified network layer is invalid" Previously this was working fine...
from today itself I am getting this error
My DB is DB2 DB Drivers: DB2 V9 ->JDBC Driver

while i am generatign the Webi report, i am getting below error.
com.jpmorgan.extraclear.reportservice.BOException: :generateReport :: Exception com.businessobjects.rebean.wi.ServerException: The number of simultaneous report jobs was limited to 10 by the system administrator. . Please try to reconnect later.[ RCIRAS0518 ]
please help me out.

I just got the same error message, but I try to open a DeskI in InfoView. This has nothing to do with the Web Intelligence Processing Server. But I had problems with the RAS (Report Application Server). A restart of the RAS didn´t help, so I restarted the BOXI-Server. Now everything is fine, but I still don´t know, what happens.
It would be great to know what the problem was.
Hope to get an answer.

Getting error when refreshing the WebI report

Hi,
I am building WebI reports using a universe which is constructed over a BI cube.
Initially I am building the report and uploading it into CMS.
When I am importing the report from CMS and refreshing it, I am getting an error
"A database error has occured. The database error text is: A runtime exception has occured. (Lisence key check failed, Check that you are lisenced to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901)".
What could be the reason for this kind of behaviour?
The version of BO is 3.1.

Your answer was really helpful, and it worked upto some extent. I have updated the lisence key and the following error is no longer coming.
"(Lisence key check failed, Check that you are lisenced to access SAP data sources). (WIS 10901)".
But now I have a new error popping up when ever I import a report from CMS and refreshing it.
The error is "A database error occured. The database text is: The supplied XML is not valid.[SYMTNKEY].[LEVEL 01]. (WIS 10901)."

Getting and MDX Error while refreshing a WEBI Report

I have a problem in developing/refreshing my Webi Info view report.
I have my report like this.
It has 15 dimensions and 3 measures.
Purpose of the report is to display the purchase order details for a particular state/or all in a Country for a particular year.
In this scenario my database has two Calendar Years: 2011 and 2012.
And states (in US) as New York, Rhone Island etc..
Here comes the typical issue.
I have developed the report and when i m trying to refresh the report giving 2011 as Year and New York as State for prompts and generating the report.
Now i m getting the error of MDX query; Below is the error message:

This error is coming only when i m selecting 2011 and New York as prompt values.
When i m selecting any other value combinations, i dont get any error.
I m not sure why this error is coming.
Actually to say there is no data for the combination 2011 and New York. So ideally it has to display "No Data to Retrieve".
But this is not the case with these conditions.
Please suggset.

Refresh the WebI report getting the Error

I have installed the BO4.0 sp2.Previously I created reports and refresh the reports are fine.few days back i am getting error once refresh the report. the error is:
Caused by: com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.ServerException: The database SQL generation parameters file could not be loaded (MS Access 2007, ODBC) .
     at com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.common.CommonRequestHandler.newServerException(CommonRequestHandler.java:260)
     at com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.common.CommonRequestHandler.createAllServerExceptions(CommonRequestHandler.java:238)
     at com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.common.CommonRequestHandler.afterProcessing(CommonRequestHandler.java:121)
Can any one please suggest me solution.

When Tomcat is stoped and restarted or application server reload is triggered, the standard Manager implementation will attempt to serialize all currently active sessions to a disk file located via the pathname attribute.All such saved sessions will then be de-serialized and activated when the applications server reload is completed.
To resolve the issue
Below changes need to be done on the server machine where Tomcat is installed:
1.Stop Tomcat.
2.To prevent the creation of the sessions.ser file which stores the content of the sessions、Make the change below (uncomment one line) in the file Tomcat55\conf\context.xml

3.Check if the file 「session.ser」exists in the folder「\Tomcat55\work\Catalina\localhost\AnalyticalReporting」and if so delete it.
Start Tomcat.
Restart the SIA.

BO 4.0 : JCoException while scheduling the webi report

Hi,
We are in BO 4.2 patch 8.
We have 35 webi reports. These report uses SAP BW as data source. We are using DF to fetch data from SAP BW.
We have manually configured the RFC destination for JCO connection (as mentioned in SAP notes - 1638647).
Reports are getting scheduled successfully. But sometimes some webi reports fails with the following error message.
Database error: (CS) "Java Exception : java.lang.RuntimeException:com.sap.connectivity.cs.java.drivers.DBDError: [Data Federator Driver][Server] [Connector 'Sales_BO_New'] SAP NetWeaver BW has reported an exception: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (112) RFC_ERROR_REQUEST_CANCELLED: connection with handle 3 closed
after cancel (remote system is PBI|BILPBI)" . (IES 10901)
This is in intermittent issue. If anybody faced this issue, then please let me know your feedback.

Personally, I haven't seen this before. To recap:
- Manual refresh work fine
- scheduling works most of the time
- but sometimes it fails with << SAP NetWeaver BW has reported an exception: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (112) RFC_ERROR_REQUEST_CANCELLED >>
You might want see if you can isolate a particular document causing the problem, or determine if it's related to using certain refresh parameters

it says Find out from the JAVA application or the JCo traces which JCo Server was cancelled and restart the server; in the J2EE Application Server context, JCo Servers are often started via the Service JCo RFC Provider
but .. i don't know how helpful that is..

Issues while saving the Webi Report locally in pdf and Excel Format

Hi,
I am getting issues with the images on a Webi Report when I try to save the reports locally on my machine in either a pdf format or in an Excel Format.
I think the issue is that when I am trying to save the report it saves the address of the image binded in the report but it doesn't save the image/download the image and when the report is opened locally it couldn't refer to the image location.
I am using BOXIR2 with SP2.8.
I am not sure what should be the right solution for this. Any insight or resolution will definitely be helpful.

I would investigate on the load balancer and/or Apache front end servers, are you sure you don't have a keep alive setting enabled somewhere on one of these servers? in the Tomcat connector maybe?

Problem withdata while saving the Webi Report in Excel

Hi All,
Just Now we migrated our Webi reports on 4.1.
When I am schduling report in excel In my report some ? sign will come.
If I do save -> save as Excel it will save properly but Save as execel 2007 It will save ? marks in some column.
Schdule in execl also doing same.please see following screen shot.
Please guide me how to sort out this issue.

The reason behind the issue could be UTF-8 encoding.
We can try to convert the encoding to ANSI and check if the issue persists.
Can you use Webi Rich Client on client machine? If yes then follow the below steps on client machine:
1. Right Click on My Computer and go to Properties.
2. Inside Advanced tab, click on 'Environment Variables'.
3. Create user/system variable with name "BO_UTF_BOM" and put "any text" as its value.
Restart your machine. Log into Rich client and again try to save your report in Excel.

Hi Manoj,
Go to the controls tab in parameters in universe designer and there increase the "Limit size of result set to" and "limit execution time to".
Also in webi go to the edit query and increase the "maximum rows retrived" and "maximu retrievel time".
I think this should avoid partial results.
