Error importing APEX export

Hi,
I am trying to set up a copy of an application on a localhost of another computer using database XE. The application was exported and when I try to import it I get the following error....
1 error has occurred
NOT COMPATIBLE (Your export may contain calls not supported by your application version.)
Does anyone know how I can sove this?

Try the XE or Apex forums. You may have to manually edit the export file so its the same version as the database you're importing into. Whether it will work or not is a different question

Error importing image export

We have encountered a problem importing images that we have exported from another instance of HTMLDB. Operating systems match (DOS - and it is selected from the combobox on export), application ID-s match, any non-latin characters are removed from image names, but upon last step of importing those images to our test database HTMLDB instance, we get the following message:

For a few months these exports/imports have worked perfectly, the problem occurred for the first time last week.
I don't know how to export only some images from the workspace (except for the choice between workspace images and specific application images), but when I deleted other than first two images from the export file (in my texteditor deleted others from remove part and also from the insert part of the image export file), then the import was successful - so it must be something about those other files.

Error importing in APEX

Hello,
I have a problem when I am importing an application between environments.
I mean:
-I make an export of my application in DOS file format an Unicode UTF-8 in my dev environment (APEX 3.0.1.00.07, Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production)
-I make an import in my test environment (APEX 3.0.1.00.07, Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production) so it doesn't work, the return error is:

We have executed the export file connected to SQL*Plus, first time logged as our database schema application and a second time using SYS user. Result is allways the same:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20001: Package variable g_security_group_id must be set.

Also we have edited export file and changed +¦ characters by o (originaly +¦ were ó).
An other test had been to create another applications, very simply, just one page to login by database schema user. This one were exported, imported an executed succesfully. When we add a second page with a tabular region filled with a simple query from a table of our database schema appears again the error described before when we import the export application file.
We attached our export files, both, our real application (ID Application 150) and the simply application (ID Application 109) just with login page and a second page with one tabular region.

Based on the error message” Could not allocate a new page for database REPORTING' because of insufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY'. Create the necessary space by dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting
autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup”, we can know that the issue is caused by the there is no sufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY' for the ‘REPORTING’ database.
To fix this issue, we can add additional files to the filegroup by add a new file to the PRIMARY filegroup on Files page, or setting Autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup to increase the necessary space.

Error import / export in console standalone

hai all,
error import / export in console standalone
iam logged in 9i console standalone pc not connected any other pc.
unable to import or export or load any database
because the error shows that
only on OMS mode is possible
how can import or export or load?

I have no idea what you are asking or in what environment you are work.
Lets start with the need for a version number ... 9i is not a version ... it is a marketing label. Do you mean 9.0.? or 9.2.0.1 or 9.2.0.8 no one knows.
Second I have no idea what a you intend to convey with the statement "console standalone pc."
Third "unable" means what? That the pc crashed and burned and is a smoldering cinder or you received some error message you thought too unimportant to post? Again ... you've given us no useful information.
Finally what do you mean by OMS? Is this OMS as in the Java application running as part of the Grid Control or something else?
Finally what are you trying to import? How? A clear explanation is required.
If someone reading what you post can not understand or duplicate what you did because of lack of information you will not receive any help.

Import and Export MDL error with OWB Release 2

Getting the following error when importing and exporting MDL - any assist would be appreciated - never had this issue with previous releases - error as follows:
Error occurred exporting metadata to file "C:\TEMP\MY_PROJECT-20061208_1058.mdl".
java.lang.Exception: CNV0002-0038(ERROR): Cannot write to file ./../../reposasst/converter.properties. Please make sure that write privileges are enabled or that disk is not full.

I got the solution. OWB writes some temporary xml files before importing/exporting mdl and these files are stored in OWB home directory. The problem is write privileges on the OWB Home directory. I am not local admin of my system. Admin installed the OWB client on my system through his userid. Now if i try to create a directory or file in OWB home directory it thorws an error "Access Denied". I got the Admin rights on my local system for my userid and now OWB is working fine.

Error message using SQL import and Export Wizard with Excel spread sheet

I am trying to import an Excel spreadsheet using the Import export wizard that is provided with SQL 2014.
Everything seems to set up OK but then when I go to do the transfer "error message" comes up saying:
External Table is not in the expected format.(Microsoft Jet Database Engine).
This is a spreadsheet and there is no database, that is why I want to import it into a database!! So the reference to JET is a tad disappointing.
So why the error and how do I fix the problem?
As there are over 100 variables in the spread sheet rows, it would be great to have this automatically create the database and populate the fields.
I am using SQL 2014 Express and Office Excel 2013.

When import a .xlsx file to SQL Server using SQL Server Import and Export Wizard, you see a “External Table is not in the expected format.(Microsoft Jet Database Engine).” error message. This error message seems that the Microsoft JET Database Engine is
unable to handle something that is contained in the file.
So please make sure there is no unsupported content in the Excel file. Alternatively, we can use ‘Microsoft Excel’ as the Data Source, then Select ‘Microsoft Excel 2007’ as the Excel version to import the excel file.

Error while importing the export in new environment

All,
I have getting AIP-11052: Writing following objects: Transport Protocol Parameter failed due to following constraint violation: TRANSPORTPROTOCOLPARAMETER_UK. UNIQUE CONSTRAINT VIOLATION
while importing the export. Has anyone encountered this issue? or Can anyone provide pointers as to why this might be occuring?

Hello Dipal,
The erros seems to be because of some UNIQUE key constraint issue while importing the export. This may be due to some conflicting import data which is causing this voilation. If it is a possibility, please purge the entire repository and have a clean import or else please analyse the UI log to find some more details.

Export and import list error(Import-SPWeb)

Hi!
I try to understand import(and export) processes in SharePoint. I've made a .cmp backup of one list. After that I delete some elements. And now I try to import list from cmp file to the same site but it fails - The element 'WebPart' in namespace 'urn:deployment-manifest-schema'
has invalid child element 'Joins' in namespace 'urn:deployment-manifest-schema'. I didn't make any changes on the site.
Also, I have a question - Can I use export for archiving lists?
For example - I have a list with 3000 elements. I make a backup and delete them. When I need them again, I import list - and restored items appear in list.

An Exported list can't be re-imported into the same site. Export is used to make a template that can be used to Import the list to a new site.
Its also not a good choice for making backups since there are limits on how much content can be included in the export.

Problem with Import and Export Data Wizard

Downloaded and installed SQL Server Express 2008 R2 today because I want to explore how Access interacts with SQL Server (using my home computer). I'm using Access 2010 (under Windows 7), so the 2008 version of SQL Server Express seemed to be the version
to use.
After a couple of false starts, installation appeared to go okay. After the installation. My Start menu listed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. The latter listed Import and Export Data (64-bit). When I clicked that, the first Import
and Export Data Wizard page was displayed. I wasn't ready at that time to explore the wizard, so I closed it. An hour or so later I again attempted to open the Import and Export Data wizard. This time, the wizard didn't open. Instead this error message was
displayed: "The SSIS Runtime object could not be created. Verify that DTS.dll is available and registered."
I found DTS.dll on my computer at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\DTS\Binn, so the file is available, but don't know whether it is registered.
How can I correct this problem?

1. You may try to just register 'dts.dll' using regsvr32.exe, but this error may indicate a bigger problem with setup.
If you are running SQL Server 64bit then try running this at the command prompt: %windir%\syswow64\regsvr32 "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SQL Server\90\dts\binn\dts.dll"
2. You can try reinstall from start (In this case you have to make sure that you un-install all)

Perhaps you are using old WLST code (used for OSB 10g), with OSB 11g.

Error Importing a Transport in portal - Using custom role

Hello Everyone,
I have a custom role XYZ which has a few worksets copied (as delta links) from the standard System Administration Role. These worksets include Transport, Portal Display and Monitoring.
Now, I have assigned a user ABC the following roles:
1.Role XYZ
2.Content Admin Role
When the User ABC with the above mentioned roles, tries to import a transport package into the system he gets and authorization error. (This error does not occur if I assign the user Super Admin Role).

<b>Questions:
1.     Is it really possible to have this functionality (ability to Import and Export without Assigning System admin or super admin roles) achieved?
(I went through a thread Portal role for transporting objects on SDN which discusses this scenario)
2.     How should I check for additional authorizations required for Importing / Exporting Transport packages into portal. (without having assigned the super admin role or system admin role).</b>Thanks To all of you

Thanks for the inputs.
I have fixed the problem.
To assign content objects to a package, you need at least read permission for the objects to be assigned.
You can only import objects into the Portal Content Directory if you have read/write permission for each folder in the Portal Catalog where the imported objects will be stored.
To create a transport package in a certain folder of the Portal Catalog, you need read/write permission for this folder.
These 3 points helped me do the required.

Error in Client Export - TP program failed at OS

Hi,
I was trying the client export/import and export went succesfully.
Copied the cofile and data files into respective folder, Transport request added to buffer successfully but while importing TR using TP at OS the system shows following error:
Reason for error: TP_FAILURE
Return code: 0012
Error message: A tool used by tp aborted
and the log says
sap_dext called with msgnr "900":
SQL error "2289" during "" access: "ORA-02289: sequence does not exist"
IMPORT OF COMMANDFILE ONLY
end date and time : "20090716122953"
exit code : "12"

Hi,
This problem relates to Oracle Log Sequence. Please follow the below steps:
Log on to the OS using <SIDADM> login.
Execute the command :
C:> SQLPLUS "/as sysdba"
At SQL prompt execute the following statements:
truncate table schema.ddlog;
create sequence ddlog_seq minvalue -2147483640 maxvalue 2147483640 increment by 1 cache 50 noorder nocycle;
(Here schema will be SAP<SID>)
Try client import after this.
