Error in activating of Transformation

Dear All,
I am trying to activate the Transformation for the Data Store Object.
Its throwing an error during activation.
I am getting three errors as below:-
1)"Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table ZRECE_NO".
2)No SID found for value 'null' of characteristic 0CURRENCY
Diagnosis
Characteristic value null does not exist in the master data table of characteristic 0CURRENCY. Therefore, this value could not be transformed into the internal SID.
Procedure
Check whether the value is correct or not. If it is correct, you need to generate the associated master data. Note: For characteristics 0FISCPER and 0FISCYEAR, there must be a corresponding fiscal year variant (see table T009). In addition, there must be units in table T006 and currencies in the table TCURC.
3)Value '#' (hex. '2300') of characteristic ZRECE_NO contains invalid characters.
for the 3rd errror i went to Tcode RSKC and have given all the permitted special characters.
please give me suggestion.

Hi Anup,
#' is probabaly a character in the source system that the BI system is not able to display. It may be a special
language character. If you display the data in RSA3 in the source system you should be able to see what the
real character value is. It may be a special language character. If it is a language character and its in uppercase
then in transaction RSKC you should maintain only the string ALL_CAPITAL in the BI system.
If you have a UNICODE source system and the BI system is UNICODE then the above is not necessary and you
should just check that the UNICODE option is switched on in SM59 for the relevant RFC connection, you need to
do this for the RFC connection in BI and the RFC connection in the source system.
If #' represents some other character that BI can't display then you may need to correct this data in the
source system or you could write a routine in the transfer rules to convert the character represented by
#' to something that BI can display. Please refer to the note 173241 for allowed characters in the BI
system.

Hi,
Are you loading from the Flat File or from ECC?
If you are loading from FlatFile then you have to specify the InfoObject names in the "Template InfoObjects" area in DataSource-->Fields Tab.
Then when you create the Transformation then the Rules will be created Automatically.

ERROR WHILE ACTIVATING THE TRANSFORMATION

Hello Experts,
I am getting the following error when I am activating the transformation between the source (8ZPROT1) and the target (InfoSource for SEM-BCS(Tcube->Datasource) in BI 7.0
" Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL, row 100 (-> long text)"
When I go into the program: GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL, here is the error:

The data should flow from the SAP business content, so the fields should start from 0BCS_REFYR.
Can someone explain this?

Thanks for the response, but unfortunately I couldnt understand what to do with the Tcode you specified. Any how in the update rules I found that the field KEY FIELD OF THE STRUCTURE icon is not there for all the added fields. Is ther any thing to be done with this check box to mke it as key field?

HR Stadard Cube 0PA_C01: error while activating the transformation

Hello,
I have migrated the data source 0HR_PA_0 to version 7.
While activating the transformation to HR standard cube, the start routine has the following error:

Where as the migrated source 0HR_PA_1 to standard cube works fine.

Error in Activation of Transformation

Hi,
I was trying to activate my transformation, but there was an error during activation which I couldn't understand. I manage to track down the problem area. Here's my case:
I'm converting a Timestamp Source field to 2 Target fields, Time and Day. So I implemented routine to derive at the values with the following code.
    lv_tstamp = source_fields-/BIC/ZCRM_ICTS.
    CONVERT TIME STAMP lv_tstamp
      TIME ZONE 'UTC   ' INTO DATE lv_day TIME lv_time.
    result = lv_day (or lv_time).
The transformation activates successfully if the routine is implemented on 1 target field, but when I implement the routine for both target fields, it results in error during activation. No error occur when I check on the transformation.
Anyone had an idea why this is happening?

i am getting below error while activationg my transformations in cube, please let me know solution, how to assign field to infoobject, which tab i need to use.
Rule (target: S1_SUN, group: 01 Standard Group): Conversion type missing
Rule 2 (target field: S1_SUN): Field /BIC/S1_SUN must be assigned to an InfoObject
Rule (target field: S1_SUN): No source unit assigned

Hope u doing good!
Well in case of BW 3.5 if you have worked on it. To extract data to a cube or dso we use the standard process of creating infosource,linking it to datasource and creating infopackage. In infopackage we determine the characteristics of the extraction, for eg: should it be delta or full, what would be the error handling method so and so forth.
Well in case of BI 7.0 and higher we no longer need to use the long way. On the concerned Infocube you can right click and hit on create Data Transfer Process which would pop up with another window asking you where your data is residing, you can choose from the options specify the source system and then create the DTP instance.Which it is being created the system generates some rules automatically. This is what I was talking abt. Once you have created you can configure it as if you were configuring the Infopackage.
The update rules which are automatically generated can be checked by clicking on it and seeing if all the rules are appropriate.

Error While activation of transformation

HI All Gurus,
I created transformation. i maped KZW1 ( CURR - 13 ) WITH 0SUBTOT_1S ( CURR - 9) AND
WAERK (CUKY - 5) WITH 0STAT_CURR ( CUKY - 5). Same with KZW2, KZW3, KZW4, KZW5 And KZW6.
bUt when i going to activete the error comes like
Rule 24 (target: 0SUBTOT_1S): Source parameter 0022 is not being used
Message no. RSTRAN502
Rule 24 (target field: 0SUBTOT_1S, group: 01 Standard Group): No source field assigned
Message no. RSTRAN541
Please help. Is there any rules or routine?

Hi,
I think you are done migartion of that 2lis_13_vditm datasource dat flow, if it is correct there is a problem in the starta routine
it is due to the difference between the target structer and communication structre , same thing you can check with the abap people.
in 3.5 version only if you added any info object in cube and any feild to data source then , at update rules apply that key figures properties to all characterstics.
if you are done any migartion please check that as per our experts Notes.

We are using BI 7.0 and when we use amonut as a data type for one of the key figure ( Revenue ) , I am getting an error when I am trying to activate the transformation.

I have added currency also and activated inforprovider also but still I am getting error during activating the transformation. The fields are mapped already.
The error message is given below.
*Rule 4 ( Traget Z_PPRC ) Target parameter 0007 is not being used.
*Rule ( Tarhget field Z_PPRC ) No source field assigned
However I have already assigned the source to target in transformation and added currency also.
do you know if I need to install some OSS note/Patch?

Getting error in activating transformation in BI content

Hi Experts,
When I am activating this transformation CUBE 0PA_C01 -> CUBE 0TMC_C02 in bi content, I am getting error "Endroutine: Syntax error in routine".
I checked the end routine and checked it and received following msg:
E:The data object "LS_RESULT" has no component called "POT_VL_K", but there is a component called "POT_VL_C"
Since this is standard routine I cannot edit it.
Any suggestions..

But I am getting other errors while activating other transformations also which are as follows:
1. Transformation- TRCS 0PA_TMC_11 -> ODSO 0TMC_DS11
error message: Error in end routine
E:The data object "LS_RESULT" does not have a component called "NOM_STATUS".
2. Transformation- ODSO 0TMC_DS11 -> CUBE 0TMC_C01
Error while activating transformation Message no. RSTRAN510
3. In another transformation. The following infobject is kef figure.
Error:
InfoObject 0ACTION_CNT (version A) is not compounded
P.S: The solution provided by you in previous message needs to modify routine. But since this is standard routine how can i do it? Did you implement on your side?

Error while activating transforamtion

Facing error while activating the transformation
Error is
: No source parameter is used.
No target field is assigned.
We are getting the data from the flat file, i had tried assiging the fields in the transformation.
but those are the amount fileds. source is comming as 17 in length but in bi it is taking 9 as length.
I had made infoobject assignment in the tranformation but it is showing the same error.

Hi Vamsi,
In the datasource,fields tab please check if the format field in set to external.
Try creating the transformation again after assigning the source field.

while I am Extrating Data From Flat File I encountered this Error.
I am working on ECC 6.0 , BI 7.0.
I am trying this one in IDES, it is newly installed server.
For Flat File Extraction I follwed the Steps
1) I created Data source -
let us assume I have created a Flat File with 3 fields
SNO SNAME MARKS
File is located in workstation
Data source created successfull , I have checked in preview.
2) I have created 2 key Figures, 1 characteristic
3) I have created Infocube
here I have some doubt
while I am creating Infocube, the look and Feel is very different to 3.XX
when i try to create in 3.XX , we can see the Tabs for Kef figs,chars,Time chars and we assign chars to Dimenstions.
when i am creating Infocube in BI 7.0 , I don't Find such a Tabs and how I am assign the chars to Dimension
I created Like this
select
Info Area -
> create Info cube -
given name of the cube and create (F5).
the Info cube window displayed on the Right side
Then I did like this
select
key Figures -
> Info object Direct Input
Then I inserted my two key figures SNO,MARKS
--- continue (F5)
Dimension 1 -
> Info object Direct Input
I inserted the 1 char SNAME
--- continue (F5)
Then I saved the Info cube
Info cube saved successfull and activated successfull
Is it Right way For create InfoCube ?
4) I created Transfomation for the Data source
Data source -
> create Transfomation
I have given
Object Type : InfoCube
Name :YSTU - i selected which I already created.
It automaticall taken these parameters
Obejct Type : DataSource
Data source : YSTU
source system :PC_FILE
create Transformation (Enter)
I got the Error
Cannot generate proposal
Message no. RSTRAN017
Then I try to activate, I got the Error.
Error while activating transformation
Message no. RSTRAN510
Before I post this , I had searched in Previous SDN post for this Error , But I can't understand the solution.
I have lot of doubts like Basis Guy need to install any Patch or
I did mistake any where.
Help me to Find the solution...

Object Type : Info cube
Name : YSTU (This is my Cube Name)

Object Type : Data source (It automatically Taken)

Error while activating Transformations

Hi gurus,
Iam facing a problem while activating Transformations.
Its a flat filre loading consisting of 4 objects , 3 are standard and one is customised key figure ZPLN_VAL Data type is Amount, currency is fixed INR.
But iam getting following errors while activating transformations.
1,RULE(target ZPLN_VAL, Group;01 standard group); Conversion type missing.
2.RULE7 (Target field:ZPLN_VAL) Field planned value must be assigned to an Infoobject.
3.RULE(TARGET FIELD ZPLN_VAL) NO SOURCE UNIT ASSIGNED.

When i am activating a transformation i am getting this error. The transformation was not getting active. Can u please let me know why it was happening. There are no syntax errors in the routine or in the start routine.

I also checked that one but it was not showing any errors. Why i got this problem is we have a start routine in this one when i am loading data into that it was getting an error that there was a problem in start routine.
So, what i have done i commented the start routine and again activated the transformation it thrown an error. again i uncommented the start routine and start doing activation it was throwing the same error. Can u please reply if u can understand my question or not.

Error while activating transformation

Hi Experts,
I need to activate a transformation between a cube and DSO.
But I am getting an error message while activating the Transformation the messages are as followed.
1. Error when writing routines
   Message Number. RSAA561
2. Error while activating transformation
    Message Number. RSTRAN510
3. Error activating transformation.
   Message number. RSO404
I have checked the transformation and each field is mapped to correct field and there are no routines its just 1:1 mapping can any body tell how to check the error on basis of Message Number as there is no other information available when we are displaying the error.

Might be a problem with the time conversion routines. delete the transformationa nd try again.
