Error in activity allocation

Hi Experts.
I am from HR area , i am executing an integrated scenario with controlling . While creating some master data , i am providing activity allocation details like company code , sender and receiver fucntional area and Fund id. I am getting an error " UNITS WITH DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS CANNOT BE CONVERTED" . Can anyone please help to resolve this problem.If you want the complete scenario description i can provide it .

please check the unit of measure assigned in the activity type and unitof measure of Statistical key figure being used in the activity type.

Thank you for answering.
I have indicated a sender cost centre + sender activity and receiver I 've tried a cost center and also an internal order.
I have the same data and I fill the same fields in the other client (the copy source) and it is working fine.
I am not sure that I understood what you mean by "the activation of activty type as cost object in your controlling area". Are you reffering to checkbox "Account Assignment: Activity Type Active" in OKKP? If so, the check box is not checked on the other client either. Also, I have never used this checkbox, but always have been able to allocate activities.

Cancellation Error during Internal Activity Allocation in Event Management

Hi,
we use Internel Activity Allocation in Event Management.
The User wanted to cancel a document, so he did.
But now the status is (red-lihted) "Error in doc. cancellation 1".
Our systems, R/3 and HR, are located on the same server.
How could I cancel the document now?
Do I have to post the same negative worth in CO?

I have booked and followed up 10 participants but when i tried to do carry out LSO_PV18 activity allocation 5 participatns are missing , pleae let me know the cause for this issue.

Direct Activity allocation posting error

Dear All,
         In T.code - KB21N I tried to run the direct activity allocation. While enter the details in KB21N all the details picked from 3xxxxxxxxx document as it is reference document. In screen variant "Order" & Input type "Individual ". Document item price has assigned xxx INR. But controlling area currency is EUR. So the system picks constant exchange rate which is maintained in total price.
        Can anyone tell where do we maintain total price per quantity for document item

    We have maintained activity cost(Euro=Controlling area currency) in KP26. But the company code currency is INR. How the system picks INR value and which will be editable or not.

Internal Activity Allocation in Training And Event Management

Hi,
I am facing a problem while internal activity allocation of attendees in Training and Event Management. When i try to run "Internal Activity allocation for Attendees" i get an error message as " Reference document 1005 could not be found".
I have done all the configuration but even then i am unable to understand the reason for this error.

Modify posting period in KB65 - Internal Activity Allocation reposting

Hi Gurus,
I have lots of documents originally created in CATS.
The user who did the CAT7 transfer made a mistake and put in posting date (01.03.2010) on the selection screen of CAT7. All items have been posted on 01.03.2010 instead of the original date of the records in CATS.
When I try to repost these items in KB65 and modify the posting date to February, 2010 the system issues an error message (BK214) that the new posting period is earlier than original and it is not possible to modify.
Message BK214 can't be switched off either.
Is there any chance to bypass this? Or any other idea how to modify the posting date of these items from March to February?

Try KB21n......we used to change the activity allocation through this transaction.....should work in your case

For allocation activity costs, we need to define activity type in KL01 by specifying the unit of measurement of the particular activity type (like machine - Hours etc.). While creating activity type, we will assign a secondary cost element (with category 43) in the activity type through which the activity cost will flow.
After that we will plan for cost center in KP06 (cost elementwise). Then we will plan machine hours in KP26 where we will link the activity type to a particular cost center.
Please give the feed back.

What is message number? Did you assign the usersttus in BS02?

When we do price calculation in KSPI, system checks the planned costs for cost center (in KP06) and also checks the machine hours planned (in KP26) and gives the cost for the particular activity type.
Please check the above in the system

Plan Indirect Activity allocation

Hi everybody,
during the execution of Plan Indirect Activity allocation, after filling the cycle I detected the following error message:
"You are not authorized to run cycles on CC : Z910
Message no. 00368
Diagnosis
Error message of the batch input with variable text. A more precise explanation is not possible."
Any suggestion on this, please?

I've thought this but the strange thing is that the error message appears only for some cycles and not for all. As a matter of fact one of the cycles that I've created has been successfully executed without any problems.
Any idea about this strange system behaviour?
In the meanwhile I'll check in relation to the authorization profile.

Problem in Indirect activity allocation ( KSCB)

I am getting the error while executing kscb like below:
Cycle OSVIUSTES2, start date 20110301, does not include any senders.
No valid sender entries were found.
Message no. GA710
I have maintained planning for sender cost centre & activity ype (KP06).
properly given sender cost centre /activity type and receiver cost center/activity ype in cycle ( KSC7).
sender activity type category is 3 ( manual entry, indirect),, receiver activity type category is 1 ( manual entry, manual allocation).
can any one suggest where could be wrong.

I am explaining my scenario here:
I have done cost centre planning in KP06 for production cost centre and production activity type for example cost centre 1 & cost centre 2 and activity type 1 with some cost elements.
I have executed LTP and passed the Planned activity quantity to KP26.
Now I have some costs like energy , which I want to distribute to production cost costre using indirect activity allocation. So I have defined IAA cycle ( as you suggested using rule 3. quantity calculated inversely and sender cost centre is costcentre3 and activitytype2 ( category 2 indirect entry,indirect allocation) and receiver as cost centre 1 & 2 and activity type1 . sender values 1000 and receiving tracing factors cost centrea 85% & cost centre2 15%.
I have maintained cost centre planning for sender i.e cost centre3 & activity type2 in KP06.
Executed the IAA cycle (KSCB) with out errors.
Now exeucted KSPI, then system is picking the costs maintained for cost center 1 & 2 , it is not picking the costs which were mainttained for cost centre 3 & activity type 2.
my assumption is, once IAA is executed, system has to transfer the costs to production cost centres and then arrive activity prices.
Please suggest me where I went wrong?

LSO_CO Interface: Activity allocation for instructors

Good morning SAP people,
Ladies and gentlemen,, can you please assist me with an error that i am encountering when trying to execute the activity allocation for instructor functionality on LSO.
I have made sure that i satisfied all the pre-requisites and price planning, loaded actual prices on both the HR and finance Boxes.
Cost item maintained for Instructor
Receiving and sending cost centres maintained in the same controlling area.
Activity type is maintained, planning is created for the sender cost centre.
The Error is as follows:
E KI 154 Enter Activity type only in conjuction with a cost centre
Can somebody help me please...

Can you please check what is maintained in T77S0 (SM30 transaction) :
SEMIN     COSTC     (LSOCOSTC)
SEMIN     SCOST
The system first looks for the cost center via the evaluation path. If it finds no cost center, it uses the cost center stored in the Sender cost center.
The switches which are used to maintain the above settings in view
T77S0 are:
SEMIN     COSTC     Cost center of business event cost object
SEMIN     SCOST     Sender cost center for internal act. allocation

KB21N -Is there a way to prevent activity allocation between Company Codes?

How can we prevent user from posting to another Company Code through KB21N (Direct Activity Allocation)?
Note that everything is under one Controlling Area.

yes, create a CO Validation (OKC7) with the following rules:
Prerequiesite:
COBL_SENDER-BUKRS <> COBL_RECEIVER-BUKRS
Check:
COBL_SENDER-BUKRS = COBL_RECEIVER-BUKRS
also you need to create a proper message in case of Error, like:
"no cross company postings in CO allowed"
hope this helps - I just defined this and tested - it works....
