Error in afab test run in background - very urgent

Friends
I have a problem with one of my clients.
Depreciation ( AFAB) has been run in test mode in foreground. - Run without errors( Successfully)
The same has run in back ground ( TEST MODE), we are getting errors? ( There are no changes of master data)

can u please clarifly this error is before removing test run and executing the deprecaition run in background or
after removing test run and execting the run in background.
If it is after than take the asset which is showing error and for that assets in afabn run the repeat run. and check whether it is giving any errors.. if yes than go to error log and check it.. if not that
again run the run in background.
i hope it will solve ur problem

RAPOST2000 error handling depreciation test run

I have a problem with the error handling in ECC 6.0 (RAPOST2000). when I run a test run in foreground, the error list is diplayed nicely and i can doble click to see the problem for each asset. But as we have more than 1000 assets we have to run the test run in background, resulting that the error list is placed in the spool without the possibility to drill down to the problem per asset (only the error no displayed in the list). How to proceed to get a smooth way of handling errors without to use two lists ( first the errors per asset, and then the list explaining the error).

Yes, the "Error Analaysis" indicator was ticked when starting the depreciation test run. So, that does not solve the problem having to match 2 different list/reports to analyze/correct the errors.

Error in BIM when running in background mode

Hi,
I am facing an error when running a BIM in sm35.
The BIM runs fine with my userid in all three modes( foreground,display error mode, background mode)....but fails when the functional person is testing in background mode. The BIM runs fine in all other modes.
It gives the message when running in background mode
"No batch input data for screen SAPLMGMW 4008"
What should I check or do to correct it.
Please help.

The BIM runs fine in Foreground mode and in Display error mode even for the functional..It is giving error only for Background mode.
I also did the following
1. Created the BIM in my id and tried running( in background) it using the other id ...it was successful
2. Created the BIM in other id and ran ( in background) using my id....it failed.
I will check again for authorisations also.

F110, APP run, payment advice, Very Urgent

I have an very urgent problem which needed to be solved immidiatly, I need to prepare a payment advice form as per the requirement of the client, The problem is, I unble to test the developed form at APP run, I want know where or How I can see the preview or print of the payment advice so that I can test it and send to client immidiatly, client is asking as very urgent, as the project is already on LIVE,

I have configured the payment advice and assigned the variant to run upon the payment program to print the payment advice. but the log of the payment shows me the "payment medium created in the format"
Abap/4 processor error: "Call_function_parm_missing"
I think am missing some configuration. Can any body provide me how to check the configuratio and what is the necessary configuration to be done for payment advice print and we are not using the check print option.
"Requirement is when the payment run is done it should print the payment advice also"

Stale Date Error in Advance Table...Its Very Urgent

Hi All,
I am getting stale data in Advance Table Regions. I am having to buttons, if I selected button1 it shows one advance table region (with show All and Hide All options) it is showing correct data in the details view.
If I select button2 and new advance table will be shown (with show All and Hide All options) and here if I select show all then I am getting stale data. For both advance tables I am using same two VO's (HeaderVO & DetailVO) but the Viewlinks are different.
For your reference below is the error.
Cause:
The number of displayed records, 8, exceeds the actual number of records, 1, in view object NetAppsProjCreationAM.ProjectLinesVO1_ProjectErrorVL_ProjectLinesVO. Some of the displayed records may have been deleted.
Please any one of you guys help me out in this issue, this is very urgent!!

Then it should work, can you check by putting debugging messages that your VO query is fetching rows properly?Also make sure that all transient columns attributes in VO wizard are not marked selected in query!

Running TCODE (AFAB) - Depreciation Run in Background - Error: Printer name

Hi SAP experts,
This is actually a basis technical question.
But the error occurred in the Depreciation Run.
When one of our users run this process in Background, she encountered an error 'Printer name not defined'.
But when I use my account, I was able to successfully run it with no errors.
I have checked SU01 and the default name of the printer (LP01) is both assigned to the users.
We are using SAP 4.6 (4.0B). I hope we could find solutions for this.

Tax code error in Depreciation Test run

Hello
Can anybody help me understand how I can get round the following:
I am doing a test depreciation run, but against all the assets there is the same error, 'Tax code ** does not exist for jurisdiction code ****'. I do not wish to maintain the tax code for this jurisdiction code, but how do I get round this. Is there a setting somewhere I have missed?

The Input and Output Tax has to be specified in FTXP, then go to T.code: OBCL then allocate the Input and output tax code to the company code and save.

Error running...VERY URGENT, PLEASE

I am programming a GUI with NetBeans 4.1, which uses javax.comm API to use serial port of computer. I have finished my GUI and it always run OK when I use NetBeans. I installed properly the API and I selected the API to be used also in NetBeans. Then I created a .jar file to run the program, but when I run it out of NetBeans, i get this interruption:

Process chain doesnt run in background! URGENT

hey
i have a issue with process chains. we are using a meta chain which consists of 5 local chains, when i activate and schedule this meta chain from the RSPC transcation code the meta chain runs fine. But when i schedule this as a job in SM37 than the job terminates. the start variant of the meta chain has direct scheduling and a date / time on it at which we want to run the meta chain. the local chain start variants have "start using meta chain" option. I dont know whats the problem.
The error message in the job log says: Job BI_PROCESS_TRIGGER has been started because of event. This job is not known, in the active version of the process chain" What does this mean ?

Hi:
You cannot start process chains from SM37, that is the problem. You shouldn't have to...? You have not indicated why you would go into SM37 instead of simply starting the chain in process chains - you can simply edit the process variant of the meta chain start process if you want to change the start time.

VO extensions error -- You cannot access this draft quote( very Urgent)

Hi Oaf experts,
I have a requirement ,Two custom fields is to be added into a standard page,The new 2 fields are not avaialbe in standard table,there are no attribute columns are available in standard table
my functional consultant told that to create a custom table for the additional 2 fields,
so i have created a custom table for that 2 fields and cretaed an EO based on that table,
Based on EO i have extended VO.
after extending VO,deploying,bouncing the page is giving an error like 'You cannot access this draft quote'.
can any body help on this to reslove this issue
or gvie me an idea to add new fields in a standard page, In the case of the fields are in custom table.

Thnx for your reply.
I have checked the source system for the external system. Actually it is a BW Qual system and the client copy from BW Prod has been done. So when they have done the client copy, the SS in the SS tab is that of R/3 Prod and not the R/3 Qual. But when I mentioned that this might be the reason, the client says even though it's showing as R/3 prod, in SM59 the SS is R/3 qual only.
But I am not sure whether this is correct or not and how to go about solving this???
And is it like even though we do Client copy and then replicate it, it will take from the SS that is in SM59 or the thing which is available in SS tab in RSA1???
InfoObjects seem to be fine.
Master data has been loaded.
Check definition of the RemoteCube - What do I exactly check in the definition, any specific thing???
If not there could be an issue with the BAPI - How to check whether there is any issue with BAPI???

ya its solved.
the main problem why i am getting the error when i am running payroll is that i dint not maintain some importent country specific infotypes properly. thats the reason its showing me errors.
i maintained them properly and finally the error is resolved.

i am trying to run automated tests
i follow the steps in the web but when i have 2 issues that does not solve
1. i created console project and add build definition without drop folder and queue builds that success.
2. i created C# unit test and add build definition and run it from VS and it worked and done what i want to do.
3. i built lab with 1 machine and define the controller on this pc ( the machine in the lab is another pc)
4. i created test suite with test cases and from vs 2013 i associated automation nethod that i created in 2.
5. when i try to associate the builds for the test plan i have a PROBLEM(1):
this happened every new build that i try to assign - all the builds appears after refresh and when i press assign to plan button
a pop up shown with error : " The build that you selected for this plan no longer exist " but he chose it in build in use but there no work item under it - the list is empty even that there are 2 tests under this test suite.
and than when i try to run the automated tests i have this PROBLEM(2):
The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required. and the test failed.

According to the error message:
(1) a pop up shown with error : " The build that you selected for this plan no longer exist "
I tried to create a build definition without the drop folder location for unit test solution from the VS IDE, and then I try to select the Build in use option to add the Available builds, then click this Assign to plan. I found that I get same error message
with yours like the following screen shot.
However, when we try to create a build definition with drop folder location for this same unit test solution and then build successfully in the VS IDE.
After you add the Available builds and then click this Assign to plan in the MTM, it work fine.
Therefore, I assume that the issue is related to that you did not specify a build directory for automated test case. MTM need to know where is the drop location of the build building your tests.

In addition, I did some research about the problem 2:"The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required. and the test failed."
I know that the error message occur in either of the following conditions:
1. The account under which test controller is running does not have read permission on the build directory. (The build directory is same as the drop location of build associated with this test run.)
2. The build directory itself does not exist.
So please refer the following blog to check this issue:

Therefore, I suggest you can try to specify a drop location for build when you run the automated test from the MTM and then check this issue.

Document is not cretaed but test run is successful.

Hello this is the my problem.
While runninf AFAB test run is successful but no document is getting posted.
Data :
Dep key assigned ZEIN
Cal Methods Assigned :
Base Method 014 Period Control 01 Multilevel ZEI(4.75% of Dep)
Asset Values is there even tthough why I couldnt get the document after AFAB in test mode.
Plz advice ASAP.

Did you look at the spool in SM37 after you ran the transaction to see if it indicated any problems?
Had you run ASKB (or ASKBN) first before running AFAB?

Cannot display the Crystal Report from BW..very Urgent
