Error in approve the leave request in MSS

Hello,
i m new in ESS/MSS.. right now working on maintanance project...All configuration settings are done by other guy. -
I m facing error in approving the leave request in MSS .. it open a error page as of no page found ... can any body tell me the solution of this problem.

Can you check with other user who is having all the roles.
This error has something to do with the roles.navigation is occuring with URL means check the roles or try with other user.
Look into permissions and also in different browser also.
Log file u have to search in OS LEVEL.
Mail meto [email protected] if it doesn,t work and we can try for other ways.

Hi,
I have a requirement in which I have to sent Leave Workflow to three approvers. For that I maintain the approvers in a customising table. What I did is, I took a copy of the standard Leave WF and added a step in loop (to read the table maintained, through a bor method). For the last approver, he has to get the standard leave approval task and for that reason i looped my custom bor for 2 times and put the standard leave approval task outside the loop.
Now the issue is that, eventhough the first approver gets the workitem and approves that, the next approver is not getting the workitem for him. Workflow is going into an error state stating that the successor node is not found.
Please tell me whether my approach for customising leave workflow is correct. And if correct, what could be the reason for the error that I get.

Not able to trigger the Leave Request Workflow from EP

Hi,
There is a problem that I am getting as follows and I need an urgent help :
I am using the Leave Request Workflow WS20000081 in R/3 4.7. The problem that I am getting when I login as "A" who is a boss of "B" and got the mail in inbox in corresponding workflow for Approve or Reject the Leave Request. Now when I "Approve" the Leave Request from R/3 Inbox, then the workflow move for the processing, but if the same Leave Request is to be "Approve" from EP having either the SAP Transaction iView or IAC iView, it doesn't process the Workflow further neither for Approval nor for Rejection. And the workitem remains as such in EP Inbox.
Can someone tell me what to do so that it will trigger from EP too.

Hi,
If u have no authorization, even the job log finishes the request won't be deleted.
Once chk the log step by step.....to have some more inf reg authoriations...
Or once goto RSRQ and give the request no there and chk the status of the request whether it is deleted or not?
Atlast try to log-off and refresh the session completely and try.

Error in the UWL while approving the leave.

Hi all,
We configured the ESS business package.UWL is configured and the leave requests are coming into the UWLo of approver.But when he is trying to approve it is giving the error .
URL http://hostname of backend system: 8000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/ess~lea/LeaveRequestApprover call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
The termination occurred in system D01 with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
I checked the package in SWFVISU and its correct>.I reregistered the systems in UWL and administration.
What is the service for Leave request approver?Any suggestions please

This error message comes usually when the uwl service is not running on the server.
Try to restart Uwl using the steps described below:
Restart UWL Service
1.Go to http://server:port/nwa (Netweaver Administration)->System->Start & Stop
2.Click on the Java EE Applications on the left side.
3.Select #com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl# from the Application List (you can use filter: write UWL in the Name filter and press enter)
4.After you selected #com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl# component scroll down to Application Details
5.Click on Stop button and select On All Instances
6.Click Refresh button to ensure the application status is STOPPED.
7.Click on Start button and select On All Instances
8.Click Refresh button to ensure the application status is STARTED.
If the UWL status is IMPLICIT_STOPPED after restart then some hard dependencies might
be missing in the portal and the deployment logs are needed for further analyse.

Access Enforcer(error in approving the request) and import roles

error in approving the request at security stage(last)
manager and role owner are successfully approved.
and also importing roles into access enforcer was not successful.

Some of the fields that need to be properly defined with attributes are:
       System: must have the know SAP system defined here
       Role Approver (i presently are using most of the roles without having need for approval; I created a user called NOAPPRV in AE)
       Functional Area: need to have all the areas defined that roles will be assigned to
       Company: I only have one company so that's an easy one
Some areas I presently do not use but found they must ne coded and coded properly:
       ResponsibilityID:   N/A (coded as is)
       CommentsMandatory: NO (coded as is)
       Parent Role Owner:   NO
       Business Process: NA (I believe I originally coded N/A and it did not like that)
       Sub Process: NA (again N/A I believe error on me)
       Reaffirm Period: presently I am using 0 (zero)
       LastReaffirm: presently using 12/31/9999

Error in ESS Szenario leave request after rejecting leave

Hi folks,
we getting an error in the ESS leave request application with using the workflow (WS12300111).
We have EP7 SP11 wit ESS/MSS 600 SP7 (for ERP2005) . All ESS/MSS services/webdynpros are deployed without errors.
If an employee takes holiday with the leave request and the manager rejects this leave request, a work item is created in the UWL box of the employee. Processing this work item leads to the following error:
Application error occurred during request processing. Details:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: The requested deployable object 'com.sap/ess~lea' and application 'LeaveRequest' are not deployed on the server. Please check the used URL for typos.
Exception id: [C0000A7D0192002A0000000400000B7E000431AA883F1DCE]
But the application is ready deployed (the employee take this appl- to create the leave request
In the ERp2005 / HCM customizing, transaction SWFVISU the approval task TS12300097 uses application "LeaveRequestApprover" is working fine.
TS12300116 uses application "LeaveRequest" leads to this error... :-(((
Does any body have an Idea ??

yes something like that - we solved this with a tipp from OSS/ SAP..
Using transaction SWFVISU, check the following entries and correct
these
where required:
TS12300097 Java WebDynpro
APPLICATION LeaveRequestApprover
---> CHECK THESE PACKAGE sap.com/ess~lea
TS12300116 Java WebDynpro
APPLICATION LeaveRequest
>CHECK THESE PACKAGE sap.com/ess~lea
The WF item who was running o.k. (check leave request) had the wrong entries :
TS12300097 Java WebDynpro
APPLICATION LeaveRequestApprover
---> CHECK THESE PACKAGE sap.com/ess~lea -> was com.sap ...
After changing this to sap.com -> the other service who had the error
runs now O.K. !! This problem was only on the EP7 system SP12 and
ESS/MSS SP8..other Portal system with NW7SP11 ESS/MSS SP6 had this
error not...

Manager is not able to Approve the leave

Dear Freinds,
Please help me in solving this below issues.
EE has applied for leave thro ESS. Manager have recd a confirmation from Work flow system . But the same is not reflecting in Manager MSS . Therefore he is not able to approve the same . However, Manager is able to approve the leave for others.
I cheked in PO13 and the realationship and dates are perfect. Can anyone tell me what could be the reason.
IS there any T-code to check the Email communication that both had.

Please check the workflow log in the system using transaction SWI1 for the date on which the EE has applied for leave,
check the Agent assigned for approving the leave by clicking on the Agent button - confirm that this is the same manager.
Also this is assuming that in MSS under the UWL other employees leave requests are visible,
so as to eliminate portal side issues.

what needs to be done to include the leave request type in the work flow?
the present request for work flow includes the notificationto be sent to the approver
which doesnt include leave request type inthe description
to include this we need to maintain a container variable but what should be the method or abap dic object which has to be used for maintaining this leave request type container

You can create and take where you pass leave type and get description of it and create an field in WF containr and fill it than you can use add that field when you are sending notification,.

As an alternative to this service, you can use the Leave Request: Mass Approval report (RPTARQMASS_APPROVAL) in the back-end system. These reports enable you to approve multiple leave requests in batch.

Approver not availabale for approving the leave rquest

Portal - ESS error in Wroking time-- Leave request.

Hello Masters in ESS/EP,
I am getting the following error in EP for Leave request in Working time:-
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextConfigurationException: DataNodeInfo(FcForm.Orig_Request.Item_to_Check_Orig): structure field Umskd not found
Are there any settings needed to be done in R/3 or EP or in PTARQ related to leave request activation. Kindly let me know. Its urgent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We also applied Patch for SAP PCUI_GP 600 Support Package 11.

Need multi level approval for Leave request workflow in ESS

Hi All,
Our requirement is for 5 levels of approvals for the leave request raised in ESS means After employee raises leave request ,it has to be approved by 5 managers one after the other. In standard system only 1 level of workflow and approval is available so please anybody suggest the solution . Thanks in advance.

As I know Portal only has Webdynpro for java iview for leave request iview in the past.
but someone tell me SAP portal has delivered some new standard WebDynpro for ABAP iview.
I have a requirement to create a employee role for new Leave Request service created by WD ABAP . Under Content Provided by SAP in Content Administration, I couldn't find the iView assocated to the leave request except the Java one. Is there have any Employee Self-Service Web Dynpro ABAP workset ?

The business package for ESS based on Webdynpro for ABAP is available only for ECC 6.0 EHP5.
If you are on EHP5, you may choose to use this version of the BP.

Problems while creating the leave request via PTARQ

While trying to create leave request via PTARQ I am getting the following warning message
Document created with warning: HRTIM00BLPRETRO 009 Earliest recalculation for time evaluation exceeded
Please suggest what should be done.

It sounds like you are trying to post a leave request on a date that is too far in the past.
Check:
1. PA03, earliest retro acctg period. The leave requst cannot be older than that data.
2.. In IT0003 for the employee involved: Check Earl.pers RA date. Leave request cannot be older than that date.
If you want the leave request to be posted anyway, you either have to change the dates mentioned above (be careful, they are there for a reason).
