Error In Assigning a Charcteristics in MIC

Dear Gurus,
i created a charcteristics in CT04 ( Num format ) and Assigning in the MIC while doing it says a error like "Not Compatible ".
i tried in the reverse way also . first creation of MIC and assing the Charcteristics. but system is not allowing me
The Mic i created also Quantative but when i assing ,the system control indicator auotmatically getting changed.
I am missing somthing , but i couldnot able to trace. Kindly help me inthis regard.

Thank you so much For the reply, You are correct. My Requiremnt is that , i am creating a Charcteristics in CT04 and assinging in the Creation of MIC.
While doing so the system resets the control indicator based on my charcteristics,(That is normal ) , but my requiremnt is that i have to use the quantative chacteristics (MIC)in Quality plan and where my lower limit and upper limt ,i need to maintain in the Plan.
Once if i create the inspection lot and record the inpsection results ,then system should aoutmatically tranfer the inspection results into particular batch.
the linlk is CT04-CL02-MM02-
In mm02 -material is batch active and automatic tranfer seeting at plant level activated.
MIC-CT04.
I dont know where i am missing , iam trying all other option.
This cycle is mainly used in VC based approch.
I think QM Gurus Can help in QM IN VC Part , Through light on any process documents or step by step process.

2. When uploading the template also its throwing the java.null exception..
template contains , user name, password, roles , mail_id, group..

Error while Assigning database level role (db_datareader) to SQL login (Domain Account)

I got an error while creating a User for Domain Account. Below is the screen shot of the error (error : 15401)
Database instance is on SQL 2000 SP3. ( I know it is out of support, But the customer is relutanct to upgrade)
On Google search, i found below article which is best matching for this error

I have follows each step of troubleshooting. But still the issue persists.
Step 1. The login does not exist == The login is very much exist in the domain as i am able to add the same domain id to other database instances
Step 2. Duplicate security identifiers == i have used this query to find duplicate SID

But there was only one row returned with create date of today's.

Step 3. Authentication failure == Domain is available. User is able to login on other servers via RDP connection.
Step 4. Case sensitivity == Database collation is set to Case insensitivity. (CI)
Other two 5. Local Accounts & 6. Name resolution == is not applicable to me.
I tried other ways also.
A. Creating login and providing permission in one go only = User account is not created
B. Instead of GUI, use query to create login and provide required permission = Same error.

Error - ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA - EDI: Error while assigning IDoc number

Hi,
I'm attempting to create a simple interface which converts cutomer data from a flat file and loads it into a SAP enterprise system as an DEBMAS06 IDoc type. I am getting the error message Error - ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA - EDI: Error while assigning IDoc number in the XI message monitor.
Has anyone come accross this error before and if so, what is the resolution???

Error while assigning Decimal Attribute to PA

One cannot have a decimal attribute as the 'attribute' in planning. A decimal attribute can always be marked as a key figure.
For eg: Price. It cant be a attribute of planning area (like Plant, product).

thanks a lot for your answer.
SM59 is working finde. In IDX1 I got the the correct RFC destination entered and a double click works fine also.
The other way around R3 -> XI -> mq series is working fine. Here we are trying mq -> XI -> R3 and it stops sending from XI to R/3.
How to check the IDOC type?

Error when assigning SID while uploading text in the info-object of the DSO

Hi
I have a scenario where I need to extract a char 60 field from R/3 in the DSO.
I have created the info-object which is char 60 which has the master data text activated.
In the DSO transformation I have mapped it to the R/3 field.
While activating the data in DSO its giving the error message
'Value '20 per action plan' (hex. '32302070657220616374696F6E20706C616E') of characteristic'
'Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject ZRMSD '
How to overcome this issue.

Change the InfoObject for this text so that it will allow lowercase letters. To do this, go into Change mode on the InfoObject, go to the General tab, check the Lowercase letters checkbox and activate the InfoObject. After this has been activated, you can then restart your process and this SID violation error should no longer be thrown for this.
If you don't want to do this, then you can use the TOUPPER formula in the Characteristic Routine, in the Transformation, to change the value of this field contents to uppercase. This can also be done by using an ABAP routine like this:
TRANSLATE column TO UPPER CASE.

Company code 7144 is not permitted as the paying company code
Message no. F3063
Diagnosis
The paying company code and the company code on whose behalf the payment is being made must be in the same country, have the same local currency, and display the same currencies managed in parallel. The setting regarding extended withholding tax functions (active or not active) must also be identical for both company codes.
System Response
The entry is not accepted since these requirements are not met.
Procedure
Correct your entry.bold**

The scenario is that one company code is making the payments for the other. However, the 2 companies are based in different countries. Hence, system is not allowing this assignment.
Has anyone come across this scenario? Is there any other wayaround for this which can result in Intercompany postings.
If we assign the Paying Company Code in the Variant screen in F110( instead of FBZP), will that work? I have tried the same but it doesnt work that way.
Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Multi-thread failure - Error in assignment

I have a c++ program processor running under Windows XP with Oracle 9i. My program access to oracle by an ODBC driver version 9.2.0.4.0. It could be launched in multi-thread to increase performance. When I launch it with one thread everything is fine. When I use several threads I have problems. ODBC driver returns to me a "error in assignment ... General error" message and my updates queries failed. Under SQl server it works without problems. It seems to be a kind of deadlock. When I disable check box in my odbc driver of "enable query timeout" my program encounter a problem and freezes...
Could someone help me ?

i ahve following snippet of code

if i give p_table value such as AUSP (which contains FLTP fields), i am getting a runtime error at ASSIGN statement as below.
(((((((In the current program "SAPLY_TEST", an error occurred when setting the
field symbol "<WA>" with ASSIGN or ASSIGNING (maybe in the combination with
the CASTING addition).
When converting the base entry of the field symbol "<WA>" (number in base
table: 33986), it was found that the target type requests a memory
alignment of 8.
However, the source data object has an invalid memory alignment, that is
an alignment not divisible by 8.))))))))
for other tables its working fine.
How can i rectify the error?

Assigning Equipment Number to MIC (Use of class type 005)

Hi,
I want to assign equipment number to MIC. For this i have made a class with class type 005 and assigned a characteristic for equipment number(EQUI table field). I have assigned the class to MIC. Now i want to enter the equipment number, when MIC is attached to a inspection plan. Please tell me how to do so ? and am i doing it correctly?

I am not sure whether classification can be used here or its coorect way as classification has very different use altogather.
Now what my understanding here is you can use
1.PRT filed in Inspectionn plan and assign the same to a mic @ char lavel.
2.You can also use the "Inspection method" to specify method and equipment that you are going to use for inspection.As Method is free text you can vertually write anything here.Attach method to mic in QS22/QS23
3.In "Inspection char desription / search field " you can use name of equipment.

This happens only from time to time. Sometimes it connects without any problem.

This is an error when the STA (the computer) constructs the packet. 2/4 is indicate of the handshake process where it sends a nonce-value with its own MIC. A MIC is a message integrity check (or code).
Basically, this error is saying, whatever that computer is sending is invalid. You can try to make the AP behave differently such as force the use of AES instead of AES+TKIP depending on what product you have. Pretty much removing "mixed" wireless networking. As example, try using WPA2 (AES) only.
Such errors are more common using TKIP since it is the nature of TKIP to send a per-packet-key.

We are getting the following error when activating an ODS:
Fiscal year variant not expected
Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT table 0FISCPER
Interestingly, we have two systems for two different phases, on the same BW 3.5 SP level and the corresponding source R/3 SP Levels. BEx reporting is turned on for both the ODSs.
On one system, the ODS get's activated without any issue and on the other, it get's errored out.
I have tried different things like Rebuiding Global Transfer Settings, comparing the data between the two systems, etc., but no use.
Any ideas/solutions?

When I tried RSRV checks on 0FISCPER and 0FISCVARNT, I am getting the following message:
0FISCVARNT is not a characteristic but an InfoObject of type TIM
Message no. RSRV209
Diagnosis
The value entered 0FISCVARNT must be the name of a characteristic. However, 0FISCVARNT is an InfoObject of type TIM.
The following values can be types:
CHA characteristic
KYF key figure
TIM time characteristic
UNI unit
DPA package
ATR attribute
MTA meta-InfoObject
