I have installed Oracle BAM on XP and tried to create a simple report using BAM Active studio. I have selected an object from sample folder ('Employees') and selected a simple report layout.I have done all the necessory steps mentioned in Developer user guide and when i clicked the 'Finish' Button I 'm getting the following error.

Fix :- Earlier i have defined all the BAM services as Localy.Modified those services to run it from my user id.

It seems a lot of people are having this problem...you can try restarting your device, making sure Date & Time settings are on automatic, or changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8. However, most people posting about this problem have tried everything including data resets, restores, etc. and it doesn't seem to work. It seems to be an issue on Apple's end with the servers...hopefully they can resolve it quickly

I cannot import my photos to iPhoto but can using another user sharing the same library.
I am trying to import my photos on my main user account on my iMac to iPhoto 11. I am running Mac OS X Version 10.7.5
When I try to upload using my main user account it will not upload the photos. It gives an error message "iPhoto cannot import your photos because there was a problem downloading an image. I also get urecognised file format from my Cannon SLR. The crazy thing is, I share the same library with my wifes user account on the same Mac and the images upload without any issues. I can see them in my user account but when I try to open the landscape files I get an exclamation mark on a black background.
Any help with this will be appreciated.The exclamation mark means that iPhoto has lost/broken the file path to the original/master file. Apply the two fixes below in order as needed to reair the library:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

How can I open a Word document, when I receive this error message "[name of document]" is being used by "another user." Do you want to make a copy?
(This only occurs on the documents I have saved as .doc; the ones saved as "docx" open for me. Help!Did you recently reinstall the OS then copy all your files back over? Do a Get info on one of the documents and see if your current UserName is listed and has Read & Write permissions. If not select the Documents folder and check that for Read & Write permissions for your UserName. If it doesn't have R & W permissions Add it so it does.

IDOC POsting Error: Transition no. OBJ_SYS is blocked by another user
Hi Experts,
I m sending the XML from a third party system into SAP using XI as middleware for IDOC posting (FB01).
I m getting an error <b>Transition no. <xx> is blocked by another user</b> while sending intercompany and cash applications. SAP is unable to process such XML directly.
But if i login to SAP and mannually post the IDOC, it is getting posted successfully.
Any idea what may be the cause?

In your inbound idoc processing program, pls do use the lock mechanism for the FI document which you are processing and if it cannot be locked then keep it on wait for sometime and check for the same.
If its a standard program check whether it can be done in XI.
When SAP is locking the transaction it will be unlocked after the commit work and hence its happening.
The reason why you may not be getting this in individual processing is that you are doing the same thru a single session. And the lock if am not wrong is happening in table level and not in record level.

Can't add .ACSM files to ADE, message: "Error! Check activation"
I am using Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3 with a NOOK Simple Touch, running on a 64-bit 2009 Windows 7 machine. Recently I have been unable to download my library ebooks to my Nook. The electronic library I am using (a derivative of Overdrive, I think) only allows the download of books in the .acsm format. However, recently, I am unable to open the books in ADE. Instead, the only option I have is Adobe Reader. When I select the 'Browse' option and choose ADE and hit 'OK', nothing happens and it doesn't show up as an option. When I try and manually add a file to my ADE library, I get an error message saying 'Error! Check Activation". The only thing I even got halfway working was when I downloaded ADE 1.7.2. I got the .acsm files into the library (still, I had to add them all manually through the ADE interface). However, my NOOK will not open these files, even when using ADE 1.7.2. These are the things I have tried:
-Downloading an e-book (in .acsm format) from the Digital Editions free book selections. Same issue
-downloading and redownloading Adobe Digital Editions 4.0.3 (and removing the other program)
-Downloading and redownloading Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 (and removing the other program)
-Deauthorizing ADE (Every time it just says "Unable to erase authorization. Please try again after some time.")
-Adding a book in ADE 1.7.2, getting ADE 4.0.3, transferring the book to the newer software, deleting 1.7.2, and syncing my nook with 4.0.3. Nook says it's not authorized
-Doing a factory reset of my NOOK
-Unblocking the .acsm files by going to Properties>General
-TRYING (and failing) to automatically associate .acsm files with Adobe Digital Editions. Like trying to open a downloaded file with ADE, I get no response when I browse and select i
(SIDE NOTE: my Adobe IDs all match. I know that is also not the issue).
I think the issue here is that something is preventing .acsm files from opening in ADE, and nothing in particular is wrong with my NOOK. My only guess (which is probably misguided) is that Windows can't process my request for ADE to be the program to open .acsm files because it's in the x86 program files folder and not the default Program files folder. I've never heard of that being a problem but I can't think of another reason.
If anyone has any ideas, please give them to me. I am actually typing all this for my grandmother, and she is going crazy without her library books.On the deactivation issue- I just had a similar issue where I could not deactivate and had to manually deactivate by deleting the activation information from Windows registry. That might help you as well.

IF you have any missing system dataobjects, I would suggest drop the Oracle user account used to install BAM so you would delete all it's tables. Then recreate the same user account with resource and connect privileges. Then run cacheinit.exe from your OracleBAM\BAM directory. This will recreate the entire ADC for you.

Error starting Oracle BAM active data cache service
Hi
after installing BAM every thing working fine ,but if restart my system Oracle BAM active data cache service throwing following error
"The Oracle BAM Active Data Cache service on Local computer started and then stopped.Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do,for example the performance logs and alerts service"
Database is running fine

BSMake sure the path to the ODAC used by BAM (C:\OracleBAM\ClientForBAM\bin) is the first item in the system PATH
environment variable. Restart your computer after fixing this.
If that doesn't fix it, please check the Troubleshooting section in the BAM Install Guide.

Its possible that the server can be down now. Have you ever used it before? If you want, try resseting the phone by just holding the sleep/wake key and the home button together for 10 seconds. Then wait 5 seconds when it turns off and press the sleep/wake button to turn it back on. Then try it again. Let me know what the results are.
