  • Error in new block structure

    Hi all,
For the Bulk storage type which is maintained for SUT active  I have defined new Block Structure.
**Increased the SU 15 to 25.
But system giving Error while creating TO by LT06.
    Error
"Storage unit type T01 not compatible with current block definition."
    Message no. L3425
    Diagnosis
The storage unit type of the first storage unit to be put away determines how many storage units can be put away in one storage bin. If a storage unit with a different storage unit type is put away in this storage bin and the maximum number of storage units per block is the same as the first unit, then the system allows this.
In this case, the storage unit type of the storage unit to be put away is not the same as the storage unit type of the existing storage unit. Therefore, the definition of the maximum number of storage units per block is different.
    Procedure
Put this storage unit away in a different storage bin.
*the error comes even after defining the new st bin

  • WM - chenge in block structure (increase in SUTs)

    Hi gurus,
i want to increase the Storage unit (stacks ,stacks hight). This customisation allows me to chenge the block structure. But gives an error while creating TO.
    'block structure coincide with SUTS'
Now i gone through diff documents & come to know that we require to empty the storage bins under that storage type.
At present setting for the storage unit is active.
Can you suggest any other method to increase the SUTs ( i.e. 10 to 15) & also tell me the how to make the bin empy & fill it again after chenge in the block structure(as the number of bins are more).
        Waiting for reply
    Thanks,

  • ORA-01114: IO error writing block to file

I am trying to create an index on a RAC database. I have tried this in two different schemas with two different tablespaces. I am not getting the standard "unable to extend segment" when you are out of space. I get:
    Tried creating an index:
    ERROR at line 1:

I actually lose connection to the database.
I checked udump and I get:

    Additional information: 625225)
    Additional information: -1
    1. I have 525 GBs of free space in one of my tablespace which is plenty
    2. I was able to create a new table and copy the data from the existing table. Just getting the problem with creating indexes.
I do not have a file_id 500, so I guess that is an OS file number.

    Hi,
Your temporary tablespaces datafiles are ok? sometimes this kind of errors arise from those files:
    1) Index creation , implies sorting ...therefore temporary usage
    2) Cannot find the file number within dba_data_files
The (possible) reason for this, resides at the way temporary datafiles are structured: they don't allocate all disk space at creation time, like other datafiles.
For instance, you have a filesystem with 300Mb free, and you declared a 200Mb temporary datafile, check if it will have 100Mb or 300Mb freespace (Unix bdf/Linux df -k)? ... it's puzzling... if you later redefine size for temporary , adding 150Mb , the database will allow you to do that... cause it's not allocating the space, it will use the space when temporary space is required, and you'll be in troubles passing the 300Mb barrier... just at 300 Mb + 512bytes you're out of space.

  • Conditional formatting over block structure is not working properly

    Hello there,
This is on BPC 7.5 NW.
We have used block structure in one of our reports for Account dimension. i.e. we have used EVRNG function for MemberSet  instead of any other expansion.
Again in this Block structure we have applied the below conditional formatting for some range.
    The rule is:-
If the value (which is fetched using EVGET function in this range)
        1. is less than 0.45 then apply Icon1
    Else
      apply
2.icon2 if values lies in between 0.5 and 1.5
3.icon3 if value lies between 1.5 and 2.5
        4.icon 5 if value lies between 2.5 and 3.5
So when the report is expanded, the icons are getting displayed as above conditional formatting only if the number of rows (data range) is less than 1000. If the number of rows exceeds 1000 i.e. then it displays values only not the icons.
Can anyone please suggest what might have gone wrong here.
    Thanks
    Lakshmi

    Hi Nilanjan,
Please find here the screenshot of the conditional formatting used.
the cell values here are got  by EVGET  function.
So when the block gets repeated ,if the expansion crosses more than 1000 rows , then we are facing  the issue of getting only values instead of arrows(icons mentioned in the above condition).
    Thanks
    Lakshmi

  • XSLT Transformation error:  Non-canonical structure of element name

    Good day experts,
I have recently started using xslt, and came upon the following demo in the sdn.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/XMLXSLTwith+ABAP
I have retrieved the example xml files from airplus.com, as per the instructions, and implemented the code.
When I test the xslt transformation in se80, it transforms correctly.
However, when I run the program, I get the following error.
    CX_XSLT_FORMAT_ERROR
Transformation error:  Non-canonical structure of element name XML_OUTPUT
Is there an error in the example that I am not aware of?
    Thanks in advance,
    Johan Kriek

    Found the solution.
You rename the tag <XML_OUTPUT> to anything else like <TEST>. And Hurray!!! it works.
It looks like SAP is using this name internally somewhere so we are getting error when we are using same name.
    Anyways the problem is solved.
    Regards,
    Jai

  • Error in Block step in BPM.

    Hi all,
I am getting the error in block step, my design follows like this i defined one transformation before block step, the transformation step will splits the input bunch of records into equal no of record packets and sent to block step.. while defining block step i used foreach mode, in block step we kept one sync send step which will send message and gets response ....
but my block step is getting error once message enters into the block...
Thanks in advance for your valuable  suggestions and solutions...

    Hello...
    >>the transformation step will splits the input bunch of records into equal no of record packets and sent to block step
The transformation splits the message into bunch.. Put  the output in a multiline container and use this in the block step...
    >>but my block step is getting error once message enters into the block...
    What error are you getting??

  • LSMW- Error :No target structure could be found.

    Hi All,
In LSMW I'm using Business Object BUS1001006 and Method SAVEDATA.
Which is working fine in Development system and Testing system. But the problem is in the production system.
At the 4th step (Maintain Structure Relation )in LSMW  I'm getting an error ' No target structure could be found. '.
It would be thankful if any one could suggest me how can we solve this problem?
    Thanking you,
    Suresh

    ok....fine....seems lke i found ur problem .
For using a bapi , u need to create ale message type ( tcode bdbg ) . Aftercreating message for this BAPI, the server will  generate a new ALE idoc message type, and  function inbound and outbound to handle this kind of idoc.
Next, you can configure the LSMW for BAPI ,(if you don't do the first step, the BO can't been choosen in the LSMW).
Then you choose the business object and method appropriately. The target structure of this LSMW scenario is the IDOC type of you create for this BAPI.
Remaining steps are like in normal lsmw .
You have to maintain settings for  inbound processing of idoc in each server seperately . Check wt u have done in dev\test server for inbound processing . Repeat the same in production server .

  • ORA-01114: IO error writing block

What is the best way to recover from error :
    Wed Nov 22 21:44:01 2006
    Errors in file c:\oracle\admin\orcl\bdump\orcl_dbw0_3932.trc:

DBW0: terminating instance due to error 1242
    Instance terminated by DBW0, pid = 3932

The basic meaning of this error stack is DB writer is unable to write to the mentioned datafile. There could be logical or physical corruption (hardware failure) or another process blocks this datafile. In the latter case the problem should be temporarily,
    1) shutdown the database
    2) run chkdsk (to check for disk failures)
    3) startup the database
If the error persists you have to restore/recover from a backup. Since the database is running in noarchivelog mode this can only be done from a cold backup, which means probably loss of data.

  • Error "No extraction structure for event I3" running set up 2LIS_17_I3HDR

    Hi, Experts:
I am trying to activate and run set up datasource for PM 2LIS_17_I3HDR, so that data can be extracted from R/3 into BW 3.5 system.
In R/3 environment, we have 2 clients. client 200 for configurations but has no data, and client 230 has data but can not change configurations.
I have done the following in client 200:
    - Activated datasources for for PM 2LIS_17_I3HDR in RSA5.
    - Made selection in RSA6.
    - Activated extract structures and datasource for application 17 in LBWE and also ran job control. Now I can see the extract structures for application 17 are active in client 200 only, but inactive in client 230. I tried to turn then active in client 230 but got error "Client 230 has status not modifiable".
    - I assume I should run set up tables in client 230 because it is the client with data in tables? But when run set up in OLIIBW, I got the error "
No extraction structure for event I3: Messages active
       Message no. MCEX106
       Diagnosis
You called the setup for the extractor structures of application '17' (Plant Maintenance). However no extractor structure is active for event I3 (messgaes).
       System Response
Data for event I3 is not transferred to the BW interface.
       Procedure
First activate the desired extractor structures for application '17' using the Customizing Cockpit and then start the setup again."
    - I can not manually activate extract structures in client 230 because it is not modifiable. I tried moving transports, the path is not set up. I see extract structures for other applications like 11, 13 are active. So I guess there may be other ways to activate the extract structures in client 230.
    - I also tried to run set up in client 200, which has extract structures for 17 in active status. But got the same error as client 230.
Would anyone please help me with what to do to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Jenny
Edited by: Jenny Chen on Oct 29, 2009 6:38 AM

    Hi, thanks for the reply!
Just update for what we did to solve this. Both clients are for development. Client 200 is only for configuration but no data. Client 230 has data but not modifiable. Usually, when we create a structure, table, program, or active anything in 200. We will see it in 230 right away without transports. But this is not the case for activating extract structure for datasource from Business Content. We end up having Basis guy manually activate the structure for us directly in client 230 with transaction LBWE. That worked.
    Thanks,
    Jenny
