Hi,
I had same issues while trying to Display the BI Report with CHART. I went into Services and found that "Oracle BI Java Host" service has not started. I restarted the service and the problem got resolved.

    Does anyone know what might be the issue? Do I've to change the JDK-version also on other locations?

    Solved by changing the common.sh in the <OracleBI>/setup directory, this file holds the JAVA_HOME-path. After editing restart the run-sa.sh and run-saw.sh.

  • Flash chart - Error - No chart data available

    Hi
    I have a Flash chart that shows the message "Error - No chart data available" (not the no data found message).
    If I run its query in sql*plus (using the same parameters) I get 4 rows (with url, label and value columns). I am clueless about how to start investigating this as the chart does not show any other information... Any advice?
    What does that message mean? Obviously is something different from no data found?
    Thanks
    Luis

    Hi Marco
    Thanks for the reply. I did what you said and found out the problem:
    chart Flash Chart error: ORA-20001: get_data error: ORA-20001: Fetch error: ORA-01843: not a valid monthThis was caused because I used the following construction:
    where date_from = :p5_date_fromIf this was a report, this would run fine as I set the date format mask using a application level process. However, as Flash charts use separate database connections, they ignore that setting (btw I posted a message about this problem).
    I fixed it hardcoding a format mask in my SQL. Not nice but it works!
    Thanks

  • OBIEE Error Code: KQNW64YZ (Error Generating Chart)

    Hi All,
    I'm getting an error on a few of my reports:
    Error Generating Chart
    The queue for the thread pool ChartThreadPool is at it's maximum capacity of 512 jobs.
    Error Codes: KQNW64YZ
    I'm on Windows 7 operating system and currently still using OBIEE 10G.
    Any ideas on what may be causing this issue? Seems like it is intermittent at times as well.

    Hi ,
    Adding following entry in your "instanceconfig.xml " , may help :
    <JavaHost>
    <JVMOptions>-Xms128m -Xmx256m </JVMOptions>
    </JavaHost>
    might help with performance, but will not necessarily resolve the issue, unless the number of charts per page is reduced.
    Other recommendation would be editing the config.xml file as below:
    Example:
    <OracleBI>/web/javahost/config
    <XMLP>
    <InputStreamLimitInKB>8192</InputStreamLimitInKB>
    </XMLP>
    Thanks

  • Install error for Chart Server for Siebel 8.1.1.1

    Hello all,
    I have Siebel 8.1.1.0 installed, and the 8.1.1.1 patch applied. It's been stable for a while now, but I've decided to get the charts functionality working, and am having trouble with the installer.
    Basically, I get library errors, and the installer won't start. I've tried playing around with LD_LIBRARY_PATH (which helped in the Siebel install), but still nothing. I've tried running it through putty and VNC Viewer, with no luck.
    I suspect that I'm missing something in my Linux 5.1 environment, which is a virtual machine using Amazon Web Services. Unfortunately I'm not much of a Linux guy, and don't want to start playing around unless I have an idea what needs to be done. It's a bit frustrating since the other Siebel install programs run ok.
    Any thoughts/suggestions would be very much appreciated..
    Thanks,

    We experienced similar issue on our installation. Worked with Oracle support, and seems like you need to change the environment variable settings on the linux and .bin file. Here is what we have changed and we were able to install charts in 8.1.1.1 Linux environment.
    With Oracle expert help, we figured out that the .bin file needed to be changed. we did the following on our second QA server to run the installer without setting any other environment variables:
    a. identified the above files by using find / -name <filename> to find the location.
    b. checked whether it is their in the env varialbles.
    c. more than one location was found . some of them were like /usr/lib and /lib etc. even there was a file by the name in siebsrvr/lib and gtwysrvr/lib etc
    d. when we add this in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH, then the error was different than what we saw first time.
    e. this clearly shows that there is something wrong with the environment variables.
    h. as per this, he has to comment out two places of LD_LIBRARY_PATH. he did this. saved the *.bin file to a new bin file
    i. uncomment LD_ASSUME_KERNEL variable.
    J.then set DISPLAY. The installer worked fine.
    k.. the issue was with the bin file provided and the solution is mentioned in the above linke.
    1. cd ${install_image}/8.1.1.1/Linux/Server_Ancillary/Visual_Mining_Netcharts_Server/enu/unix
    2. export DISPLAY=${my_ip}:0.0
    3. sh NetChartsServer4.6SiebelEdition.linux.bin
    Hope this helps.

    I was having the same error while trying to plot a moving average across 7 days. The work around I found was rather simple.
    If you right click your report in the solution explorer and select "View Code" it will give you the underlying XML of the report. Find the entry for the value of your calculated series and enter a formula to dynamically create your periods.
    <ChartFormulaParameter Name="Period">
                      <Value>=IIf(Count(Fields!Calls.Value) >= 7 ,7, (Count(Fields!Calls.Value)))</Value>
    </ChartFormulaParameter>
    What I'm doing here is getting the row count of records returned in the chart. If the returned rows are greater than or equal to 7 (The amount of days I want the average) it will set the points to 7. If not, it will set the number to the amount of returned rows. So far this has worked great. I'm probably going to add more code to handle no records returned although in my case that shouldn't happen but, you never know.
    A side note:
    If you open the calculated series properties in the designer, you will notice the number of periods is set to "0". If you change this it will overwrite your custom formula in the XML.

  • Error creating chart (XMLP API)

    hi,
    I've written a java application that calls the XML Publisher API in order to create a report that contains a chart. My template works fine with the XML Publisher Enterprise Standalone Edition, but in Java, I'm getting the following error message:
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: oracle.dss.graph.Graph.exportToSVG(java.io.OutputStream, int, java.lang.String)
    I'm using the newest version of BI Beans Graph:
    BI Beans Graph version [3.2.3.0.37]
    Does anyone know, what's wrong here?

    I am sure it is not the same (current versions are different than 2007).
    So please state clearly the issue and how to reproduce it:
    - Prod version
    - Stand alone or embedded?
    thanks

    English/United States [en-us] and Slovenian/Slovenia [sl-si] with the same result.
    My Java Home is C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\.
    Any idea how to fix this ?

    Hey Gunter,
    Thanks much, that did work.
    The other error I spoke of was fixed with the new database, so apparently the two errors I spoke of weren't related.
    You seem to be a good help to this forum, thank you for that.... fixing my problem relieved me from much stress.

    It appears the package or procedure is attempting to run as PORTAL30_PUBLIC and there may be some priviledges missing. As this is my first chart, I will accept any assistance possible which includes directing me to any documentation I may have overlooked. Thanks.

    One more thing, here's the table structure.
    TABLENAME is 22 characters long.
    Reports from the table work fine.

  • Query parsing error for Chart.

    Hi,
    I am trying to understand the query structure for drawing charts . I am not sure why this query doesn't work. Any help will be appreciated.
    select null link,
    category label,
    count (decode(p.category,'Accessories'))
    "Accessories",
    count (decode(p.category,'Mens')) "Mens",
    count (decode(p.category,'Womens')) "Womens"
    from demo_product_info p
    I get the following error .
    •Failed to parse SQL query!
    Thanks

    Jeff,
    Yes . I am using the same query for creating all the four series. I tried creating the same chart by giving more options, now I get three values ( out of 7) . I am not sure why .
    See the query :
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION funcy
    RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
    l_qry VARCHAR2(32767);
    BEGIN
    l_qry := 'select null link, LOAD_DATE label,';
    FOR r1 IN (SELECT DISTINCT "MOUNT_POINT" FROM "SERVER_DISK_SPACE_UTILIZATION")
    LOOP
    l_qry := l_qry || '(decode(MOUNT_POINT,''' || r1.MOUNT_POINT||
    ''',PERCENTAGE_USED*100,0)) "' || substr(r1.MOUNT_POINT,-8)|| '",';
    END LOOP;
    --Trim off trailing comma
    l_qry := rtrim(l_qry, ',');
    --Append the rest of the query
    l_qry := l_qry ||' FROM "SERVER_DISK_SPACE_UTILIZATION"';
    RETURN l_qry;
    END;
    I called it in the chart like this :
    BEGIN
    RETURN funcy;
    END;
    xml:

  • Web Template Migration Error in Chart

    Hi All,
      I have a 3x web template 'TEST_3X'
      It is derived from the SAP default 3x template 0QUERY_TEMPLATE with no
      major changes/customizing. Only a picture and a data provider has been
      assigned. It works fine.
      Now I tried to migrate 'TEST_3X' to a 2004s template using the Migration tool.
      Before doing this I migrated all items using the report
      <b>'RSZW_ITEM_MIGRATION_3X_TO_70'</b>.
      At the end of the process there is this error message "Make sure that the
      3x library item <b>0ADHOC_COLUMN_CHART</b> is migrated to 2004s via the report.
      See note 832712."
       However I cross checked the item '0ADHOC_COLUMN_CHART' in table
       <b>RSZWBITMHEAD</b> (target table for migration). It exists and is active.
       It also exists in table '<b>RSZWITEM</b>' (source table for migration) and is active.
       Any suggestions. Am I missing anything?
    Thanks
    Vishno

  • Error in chart legend totals when there is a negative number involved

    Post Author: dawnyanne
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Hi
    if anyone can help me I would be extremely grateful!
    I have a pie chart with a legend. There are just two values that are showing but one of the values is a negative value and the total of the legend is adding up incorrectly. Here is how it is showing at the moment
    Cash                 -0.71
    Uk Equities     100.71
    Total              101.42
    here is how it should be
    Cash               -0.71
    UK Equities   100.71
    Total             100.00
    I can set the chart amounts to be percentage - but then it comes out as only one decimal place and I need two.
    Any help would be very much appreciated!
    kind regards
    Dawnyanne

    First see KnowledgeBase Entry 1XPH5BV7.
    What processor speed was the Windows NT machine? What is the processor speed of the PXI-8170 (700 or 850 MHz). How many channels are you aquiring? Which version of LabVIEW Real-Time are you using? Which version of NI-DAQ are you using? Are you using an example program or one of your own programs? What priority are you running the VI at? (Time critical priority is recommended for DAQ VIs - remember to provide sleep time to allow lower priority operations, such as the user interface thread, to run).
