Error in checking in RPD changes
Hi,
I've been encountering a problem in the Admin tool every time I try updating the Initialization Blocks. An error like this pops up *"Communication error connecting to remote end point address = [ip add]; port=9703"*.Then it will not check in the changes I made (please note that the RPD stays open at this state). But when I try to click on any of the object, RPD will close and a dialog box with an error similar to this will display "OBI Server is not running, repository needs to be closed."
Please note of the following:
1. When changes are to be made in the table/columns, check in is allowed.
2. When creating a new Init Block, check in is allowed.
3. When deleting an Init Block, check in is allowed.
4. When duplicating an existing Init Block and modifying its variables and default initialized value, check in is allowed.
5. All defined Init Blocks do not refresh anymore.
I checked the nqserver.log and found this entry *[2012-02-23T06:05:46.000+00:00] [OracleBIServerComponent] [ERROR:1] [] [] [ecid: 004iPhjEi^tDCgr_kHXBiZ0004yB000000] [tid: f35406e0] [nQSError: 46008] Internal error: File server/include/objectmodel/SOARpGateway.h, line 505. [[
[nQSError: 43059] Init block '': Dynamic refresh of repository scope variables has failed.
This started when we transferred our repository db in a separate machine and installed the Opatch for "Transaction Update failed." in the OBI server.
(We are running in a LNIUX envt)
Please help.
Thanks.
Anyone who has encountered this problem?
Thanks.

Hi experts,
We are using obiee 10 G and have cluster environment and i configured our rpd for MUD.
I am able to check out and make my changes but when trying to check in i get the error: This is in use by another user.
No user is using it.
Any suggestion please.
Regards,
Developer.Hi,
I use to have the problem quite often but i was in a non-clustered env. While checking in it will show the username who ha lovked it. Somebody might have it checked out and left it like that without checking in.
1.) Please check who had checked it out the last, and ask him to do a dummy check in and check out.
2.) Other option is to delete the RPD from the shared location and put a last backup RPD if no big change has gone it.

Another "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" error
Hello all:
After using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom on Mac OSX trouble free for the past 6 months, I opened up Lightroom today and received the following error: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules." I had not made any changes in between when it worked normally and when the error started to occur. I beleive the last thing I did before this error occurred was to go into the Print Module.
Other information--I keep all my RAW .NEF files on an external Firewire (800) 750 GB drive. This is on Mac OS X 10.5 running Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.3 and also with 1.4.1. I'm running an iMac 20" with dual-core 2.2 Ghz Intel processors and 4 GB of RAM. I have around 25k images total.
When I noticed this problem, I was on Lightroom 1.3. I immediately upgraded to 1.4.1, which did not solve the problem. I have also tried many suggestions in the forums including uninstalling the application and removing the .plist file.
I thought I had come up with a solution by creating a new catalog, then importing the former into it. While this seems to work immediately after the import process, as soon as I close it, the problem manifests itself again.
More details that may or (likely) may not help:
- Going to the Develop and Print Modules gives me no problems. However, when I click on Library, Slideshow, or Web, I see the error.
- I upgraded my Mac to the latest patch level after observing this error to no avail.
So it looks like my choices are to create a new file and reimport every single time, or lose all of the work I've done for the past 6 months on thousands of images.
Can anyone please help???? I promise to post the solution when we fix this darn thing so others may benefit. I'd be happy to run through any troubleshooting that y'all would suggest outside of switching to a Canon.
Thanks!!!!
MattI'd first check for the existence of a file ending in .lock, which should be present when LR is in use, but if it exists when LR is quit, it can cause problems, and should be deleted.
Please post back your results. -

Is the issue resolved.
Check in content repositories, just check if the repository which u tryin to Check In the document(CAD file) is giving u response..
i guess there must be some problem from server side.
just ask basis @ the same.

ORA-00607: Internal error occurred while making a change to a data block
hi
i hv use testing purpose oracle 10 Xe in unix
but when today i hv connect database following error occured

Variable Size 75497660 bytes

ORA-00607: Internal error occurred while making a change to a data block
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [4193], [625], [640], [], [], [],
I hv check alert log , but no proper solution is given , how can start databaseDuh, and of course I missed the significance of
oracle 10 Xe in unix
XE is only supported for Linux - according to the downloads page that means "Debian, Mandriva, Novell, Red Hat and Ubuntu".
Oracle have not publically stated the reasons why XE is only available on Linux and Windows, but my guess is that it is something to do the Intel chip architecture. If this is so it would be possible for Oracle to port XE to run on Solaris for x86. But they have not done so yet.
Which means, alas, that you are unlikely to get any help for this one, because XE is not supported on any unix platform.
Good luck, APC -
An error occurred when attempting to change modules Lightroom 5 CC
I've seen other users pose this question but haven't seen any solutions that work for me. I get the error: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" when I open up Lightroom 5 on one user, but on another user it opens up fine. I've tried moving and trashing preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling the program. It's the same whether I open an existing catalog or try to open Lightroom while creating a new project. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This occured after updating to Mavericks on a 2011 iMac. All other Creative Cloud apps seem to have installed just fine.
Hi 99jon,
Many thanks for that. Had been going through this list yesterday and now again today:
Ref Solution 1: Lightroom is at its latest update
Ref Solution 2: It's interesting how I cannot find the Preferences file anywhere on my mac. (new mac pro, OS 10/9.2) . . .
Ref Solution 3: Lightroom doesn't allow me to do anything after the error message appears
Ref Solution 4: don't have any Nik Software plug-ins
Ref Solution 5: checked permissions and changed all to "Read & Write" - makes no difference
Ref Solution 6: I don't have a different user account on my mac.
Not sure what else to do. -
I Just installed Crative Cloud Lightroom try-version but when i open the program it say "An error occurred when attempting to change modules." ?
Try giving permission to Lightroom folder under
/Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Steps
Click on Finder and on the menu bar ( top side the of the screen) click on Go > Go to,folder
In the window type exactly ~/Library and click on Go
Open Application Support > Adobe and right click on Lightroom folder and select get info
Under sharing and permission Click on lock and unlock it
Click on + add your current user name and administrator if not added
Then give Read and Write permission for Admin, system, everyone and (your user name)
Click on gear icon and choose apply to enclosed item
Then Click on Lock
Launch Lightroom and check. -
LR 5 no starting, gives error "An error occurred when attempting to change modules." it is a paid version and i will soon leave to a ship as i am a seaman, any help available?
Thank you in advanceActually i did check the site for similar questions and found one without unfortunately any solutions, therefore and as i am about to embark a vessel, due to my job Captain in Merchant Marine Ships, I re posted this matter hoping to have a solution from somebody in ADOBE keeping in mind that i never hesitate to make the purchase of the software believing that i would not have this kind of problems with a company such as ADOBE.
Thanks again and apologise if my post is duplicated, however i do need a solution. -
E26 253 Error while check in only while running FM
Dear Experts,
I am trying to run Function module BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN2, which is returning with the error message E 26 253 Error while check in and storing: D:\ XXX (Path) \XXX (file name). I have entered the following required input.
DOCUMENT DATA:
DOCUMENTTYPE :
DOCUMENTNUMBER :
DOCUMENTPART :
DOCUMENTVERSION :
PF_HTTP_DEST : SAPHTTP
PF_FTP_DEST : SAPFTP
DOCUMENT FILES:

STORAGECATEGORY : DMS_C1_ST
WSAPPLICATION : PDF
DOCPATH D:\Path name
DOCFILE : File Name
Surprisingly I can check in the document in the transaction(CV01/02), it is not giving any error message.
I have tried using the other Function module, BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2. I can create the document, but when I try to Check-In it gives me a error message.
I have checked the RFC connection and it is working fine. There is no authorisation issue involved as well.
I hope I have explained myself clearly.
Thanks and Regards

Edited by: Muda Ikhsan on May 25, 2010 4:03 PMHi
For Language installation, please check SAP Note first specific to your language. Check for <language> install.
1. You must know code page of your language, install that code page by executing RSCPINST report. Many times this report end with an error. So check following tables for your code page
TCP0D This must contain your country code and empty language
TCPDB This must contain your code page in both fields
2. You are required to make changes in Instanse profile RZ10 for installed language, login language, check that sap note.
3. First Create a language using SMLT. after you create, you will find an import icon in front of defined language.
Click it, a new screen will appear, give the path as required and say import.keep on checking SMLT screen till the time it become green.
Regarding Language CD, You have to order for specific language you want to install, latin american languages comes with standard kit, check Language CD of your Installation kit.
PS.
Never install language without reading notes specific to it. First finish all prerequisite then go for SMLT import. Keep one seperate session open and do not close it till the time u sucessfully log in into system after Lang Import.

Invitation Error: Only the Organizer can change this event
After doing a clean install of Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro, I was getting the following error when trying to edit some iCal events:
Invitation Error: Only the Organizer can change this event
The iCal events that I couldn't edit had all been ones where I had sent invitations to someone else. When I double clicked them to attempt to edit them, I received a popup that would allow me to accept/decline the event, but not edit it. I noticed in the popup that it had the email address of the original invitee plus my own email address. I'm sure that my own email address wasn't there before.
I took a look at "My Card" in address book and it only had my name and no email addresses.
After the install I had synced iCal and Address Book with MobileMe. The sync said there was a conflict with my Address Book entry and I accepted the one from MobileMe, thinking I hadn't put anything in the one on my laptop yet anyway. I ended up with the original of my Address book entry, but not marked as "my card" and an entry with just my name marked as "my card".
When I merged the two cards and made sure the resulting card was marked as my card, I could then edit the iCal events. I think it was the fact that "my card" now had my MobileMe / .Mac email address in it that allowed me to edit the iCal events.
So if you're having this problem editing events, check your My Card in Address Book and make sure it has the appropriate email addresses in it.

PS - There was an earlier post with this topic, but it didn't mention this solution. I would've replied to that post but it had been archived and replies were not allowed.I have found a way around this. If you drag the event to your desktop, it will create an .ics file. If you open this file in TextEdit, you can delete the line that begins with ORGANIZER:. Save the file and bring it back into iCal. iCal will now assume you are the organizer, allowing you to edit. You may also want to delete the other attendees in TextEdit, as iCal will also want to send updates if you make changes to the file (because it thinks you're the organizer making changes to your own calendar event).
This isn't an ideal solution, but it lets you make the edits. Hopefully Apple will change this in a future Leopard update or in Snow Leopard. -
"Error! Check activation"... What should I do?
I just bought my first epub book from Guilford Press and downloaded ADE for it. However, it won't let me read the book, and only says: "Error! Check activation". What should I do? I am using a regular PC.
I am not a computer specialist and have a real horror from editing my registry (apart from the fact that I think that a program that requires manual registry intervention is not really well programmed). I am confused by two comments in this thread, one says: Just edit the registry manually, the other says you also need to change your Adobe ID. Do I need to create a new ID? Should I also uninstall Digital Editions in between and install it back? Can someone just list down, what I have to do from the entire picture? Currently, I have Digital Editions 4.0.3.110333 installed, I have an authorization which I can not erase with ADE. I run everything with a ThinkPad E530 computer on Windows 7 (including all updates). I have Avira Antivirus Pro installed. Should I cut the internet connection and switch off the antivirus for the work on the registry and the re-authotization or would the re-authorization not work?
Please give detailed instruction so that I can try it without failing. -
Have downloaded new Lightroom 5.4 from CC. When trying to launch am getting following error message and then Lightroom crashes: "an error occurred when attempting to change modules". Can't find a thread which relates to this error message.
Hi 99jon,
Many thanks for that.
