Error in commitment check

Hello Guys,
I could not able to save my PM work order for non stock or external services used control key as PM02 .When I try to save it..it throws an error says "error in commitement check -see costing log"
Please help to fix this asap.

Thanks for your responses. I checked with FI team and it looks like all the settings are activated from their end. They asked me ot check whether I can able to write the PR outside thru me51n instead of auto creation thru maintenance order and I can able to create it...only I have the problem of this error in commitment when I try to do thru maintenance order....
I am not sure whether I need to do any config from PM as my clients are using budgeting.
I dont have any idea abt budgeting...pls guide to fix this.

Error in Commitment Check message

We are on SRM 4.0 and have funds availability turned on in the backend system (ECC 5.0). A user created a shopping cart using multiple sources. However, after the cart was approved, it would not transfer to the backend. We are getting the error message "error in commitment check". I looked everywhere I can possibly look and have not found anything wrong with the accounts. I even tried to create the requisition on the backend using the same sources and did not encounter any problems.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing this problem and how to resolve it?

We were able to correct the problem (sort of). The user had created the shopping cart using multiple accounts and split them by percentage. The percentages were two decimal places (for example, one account was getting charged 16.66). But, if we changed the percentage to a whole number (ie 17), the cart went through successfully.
That brings me to another question...is there a limit on the number of decimal places in SRM. I know in SAP, we can only go one decimal place. But, I don't know if that is in config or not. If there is a limit, is there a way to prevent users from going beyond the limit while creating the cart so that we don't encounter this problem in the future?

Error in commitment check when creating maintenance orders

I'm getting an error " Error in commitment check" when creating the maintenance order for procuring the spare parts which is an non-stock item. I checked the cost for the particular Cost center/GL there is no money in that, so thatu2019s the reason for getting the error, so when we did testing in DEVL and QA, we put money into the cost center/fund/functional area and the issue has been resolved.
Now my client said they donu2019t want that control and they want to remove the commitment check so that you can create maintenance order even though you donu2019t have money on particular cost element.
FICO person told that there is no AVC check in place, also there is no budgeting control implemented, she also told that when they create Purch requisition directly they are not getting the error even though cost is not in that particular cost element but she wonder why it is giving error when we create the purchase requisition thru Maintenance order.
I have referred the experts forum to figure out this issue, but everywhere they mentioned this is due to budgeting or funds management issue and ask me to contact FICO person to remove the control, but there is no such person as current FICO person is an end user trained in SAP.

Error in Commitment Check - see costing log

I've encountered error when saving after release of wbs. "Error in commitment check (see costing log)", this error hinders me to create PR for several wbs. please advise how to resolve this issue.

I looked everywhere in CJ20N to find this Costing Log and I can't find it or figure out how to open it!!
in my case here I deliberately caused the error by assigning a budget of 95% of the plan --> the plan is all commitment items (material components)
but I want to check that so called costing log and see the errors in it.

Hi,
I have activated Fund Management and during posting of Sales Order I am getting the following ERROR.
"Error with commitment update
Status is being set
order can not be billed /delivered."
From SDN, I have seen a similar error and found solution as below:
"Check Note 676578 - Commitment check: Incorrect error message"
I have checked Note 676578 and seen that this note is applicable for Ver ECC 4.7 but we are using ECC 6.0
Can anybody please let me know what is the compatible Note to ECC 6.0 like 676578 for ECC 4.7

Usually this error message is issued when one of the FM account assignments is not filled.
Please check note 666322 and turn the trace of FMDERIVE at runtime. Make sure that the account assignment
is always determined according to your business needs.
Also please check your integration between SD and PSM-FM:
1) Check OFUP SD integration should be active
2) SD customizing settings for FM objects.
       You can set "fund center" as an optional entry in SD customizing settings for field status. This can be checked in the IMG path:
       SPRO -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government-> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration -> Integration -> Maintain Field Status for Assigning FM Account Assignments
       You should have a record with Object type = '04' (sales order).
       It is not necessary to have the field as required (unless you want to insert it in the origin process) due to the fact that
       this can avoid the account assignment derivation between CO objects and FM objects.
       For more information, check note 572729.
I believe that you want this integration, but if you do not want to integrate sales order process within PSM-FM, you should consider to deactivate this integration in customizing transaction OFUP. In release EA-PS 1.10 and 2.00 modification note 591573 is available.

There are many more examples of other errors as well. Google returns nothing for these error....am I the first one to face these errors. We are using 11gRelease2 on RHEL.
They all have a error text of ORA-01403: no data found

I haven't been able to pin it down to a specific action that causes these errors. I have been having various other problems when importing tables ...the screen just freezes and nothing happens. When I queried this table from sql developer to check if I can spot anything and I found these errors.
The screen freezes when I add a new oracle location - the test works fine - but when I click OK to the add oracle location screen it just freezes and nothing happens.

BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE issues ME299-Error in commitments check

Hello:
We have SAP R/3 4.6c with FI-FM implemented. We also have an external .net program that invokes BAPI_REQUISITION_CREATE. Technically all is working fine, however we have a functional problem: when one the "n" purchase requisition (PR) material lines has exceeded in the budget for a certain combination of commitment item and fund center, the function issues the message error "ME299 indicating an error in the commitment check" but, there is no way to know in which PR line the error occured. I was looking at the function BAPI_ACC_PURCHASE_REQUI_CHECK to use as a complement but seems it only works when we have the PR "created" in SAP, we also, can not determine the values to type in the fields: COMPO_ACC, OBJ_TYPE, OBJ_KEY and OBJ_SYS. Do you have some solution or at least a suggestion about our problem?

Try the same scenario in a ABAP Program with N lines.
Looks like the error is ocuuring from the program LEBNEF07.
Please check the line no 92. (MESSAGE e299(me) RAISING open_item_error.)
Put a break-point here and try to run manually.

Commitment check - Sales Order

We have activated Funds Management. However, while doing transactions like PR, PO, SO we come across errors.
In the SO, system saying commitment check is activated and hence not able to save the document. We have given commitment item and fund centre in the order. Still it is happening. What is to be done to resolve this ?

Maintenance poeple are using Maintenance Order. There they are giving Maintenance Order. In the derivation, I can give maintanence order -> fund centre derivation. But since they will be creating maintenance orders everytime, this is not a feasible solution, right ?
Similarly, network will be crated from Project Systems. Then also fund centre issue is coming.
What to do in those situations ?

I tried all the procedures provided here like
chkdsk /f, diskpart, rescan etc
but no result :( (i mean all processes failed. They could not detect the drive).
Please help me to get those data, pictures and project files.

Data error (cyclic redundancy check) when installing windows xp..

hi guys.. i'm new here.. just switched to macdom a few days ago but unfortunately, i have been having problems trying to install windows xp with sp 2 on my system using boot camp. everytime i install it, i get to the setup screen ("39 minutes till setup rah rah rah", "windows xp is awesome because it has this cool interface etc... rah rah rah") and then the error of doom comes out -_-
the error given is;
an eror has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing
one of the components that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed
data error (cyclic redundancy check)
if you are installing from a cd, there might be a problem with the disc; try cleaning the disc or using another disc
if you are installing from the network, it is possible that not all of the files were copied correctly to your disk drive. run the disk checking utility on your installation drive from the recovery console and start setup again
press ok to view the setup log file
i have tried numerous times without fail and it is getting to my head.. gah.. if someone could help me out, it would be massive and i would sell my soul to you! (kidding).. thanks for reading!

120gb hard disk

I guess there is a problem with your XP CD, probably scratched or did not burn successfully. Have you tried it with another installation cd?

OraRRP Error with "Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space"

Hi,
Some users get this message -"Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space" when run report with orarrp, but most users do not get it.
I check free space at both server and client side, they are very sufficient.
I also checked directory exists for REPORTXX_TMP variable.
My user call reports via URL (rwservlet) and it occur for all reports.
How I can solve this problem?

have the same problem now. One user has temporarily problems to download .rrpa files via URL (rwservlet) request. Error code: -"Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space". Did you get a solution??

Protected mode message comes up and when I try to open files it says it encountered an error and to check online.. i can not open any files now

Within the past week I have been getting messages when trying to open pdf files " that its in protected mode and can not open"
I deleted adobe and reinstalled directly from Adobe.com and now I can not open any file with a message it has encountered an error

Error on ATP check when Creating a Sales Order

I encounter error on ATP check while creating a Sales Order.
The error is when I create Sales Order using material A, with or with out indicating the Plant and Storage Location, the Purchase Order quantity is returned on ATP check, but when I create an SO with out indicating the Plant and Storage Location, no PO quantity was returned. Note that we applied SAP Note # 387482 to automatically determine the Storage Location. I have also checked material maintenance in MM03 of Materials A and Material B and nothing was different, they have the same Availabity check condition.
Is it possible that the SAP note that I applied causes the error?
By the way I have noticed that when I create Material B and manually populate the Plant and Storage Location there is a pricing error(but it returns the PO during ATP check).

As you are running a Trial version, I do not think HA/ASCS would be relevant for you.
As you found in the dev_ms trace, the port 3601 for message server is not accessible:

Check via command netstat if the port 3601 is free for use. The hardware key is obtained from message server and since this port is not available, neither is the message server/the hardware key. Perhaps a VM restart could also help.
