  • Error: Ref count for this object is higher then 0

    Hello All,
    I am trying to create User Defined Tables in SAP through Coding but while running the code the error "Ref count for this object is higher then 0 " is showing .
    I have created a temporary table in which the Table Description are stored as follows :-
    Create Table Test_Table (TblCode Varchar(30),TblName Varchar(100),TblType int)
    From this table then using recordset i am getting the table details for creation :-
    oRecord.DoQuery("Select TblCode,TblName,TblType From Csv_UDT")
                While Not oRecord.EoF
                    Dim Table_Id As String = oRecord.Fields.Item("TblCode").Value
                    Dim Table_Name As String = oRecord.Fields.Item("TblName").Value
                    Dim Table_Type As integer = oRecord.Fields.Item("TblType").Value
                    Dim oUserTablesMD As SAPbobsCOM.UserTablesMD
                    oUserTablesMD = Class_OprTbl_Main.ocompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oUserTables)
                    '// set the table parameters
                    oUserTablesMD.TableName = Table_Id
                    oUserTablesMD.TableDescription = Table_Name
                    oUserTablesMD.TableType = Table_Type
                    lRetCode = oUserTablesMD.Add
                    If lRetCode <> 0 Then
                        If lRetCode = -1 Then
                        Else
                            Class_OprTbl_Main.ocompany.GetLastError(lRetCode, sErrMsg)
                            Class_OprTbl_Main.SBO_Application.MessageBox(sErrMsg + oUserTablesMD.TableName)
                        End If
                    End If
                    System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oUserTablesMD)
                    oUserTablesMD = Nothing
    But while running this code the error is coming .
    How to solve this error ........
    Thanks,
    Amit

    First of all, you are not meant to create temporary table in SAP database. SAP have never made an official announcement, but I think they would not be too happy if they saw it and may withdraw support. Just something to be aware of.
    Secondly, your error is very common and you would have found the solution by searching the forum. It is caused by having an open recordset while trying to use a metadata object.
    You will have to change how your code works. You can not use the UserFieldsMD or UserTablesMD object while you have an undisposed recordset object.
    -1120 - Ref count for this object is higher then 0
    Ref count for this object is higher then 0
    Error: Ref count for this object is higher then 0
    Meaning of Error Msg: "Ref count for this object is higher than 0"
    The solution is you must dispose of any recordset object before attempting to use the UserTablesMD object:
    System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oRecordSet)
    oRecordSet= Nothing
    GC.Collect()
    GC.WaitForPendingFinalizers()

  • Error in communicating with DCR server (Operations Manager 8.5)

    Hi,
    I just installed Operations Manager 8.5 on a new server. And, although I'm able to login to the OM, I'm unable to add any devices to the DCR. When attempting to add the device the following error is returned:
    "Error in communicating with DCR Server
    DCR Server may be down. Please start DCR server and then refresh the page. "
    The same error is returned when an attempt is made toaccess the screen to change the mode (standalone/master/slave.) However, according to pdshow output DCRServer is up and running:
    Process= DCRServer
    State  = Running normally
    Pid    = 9220
    RC     = 0
    Signo  = 0
    Start  = 7/29/2011 2:46:33 PM
    Stop   = Not applicable
    Core   = Not applicable
    Info   = DCRServer is up and running
    I've browsed the site and tried all suggestions for LMS since I didn't see any for OM. No success.
    Any/all suggestions are much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Bart

    It appears the answer is rather simple. According to a trusted source who works for a Cisco training partner, one must wait before even attempting a login into OM.
    Apparently,  it takes about 25 to 30 minutes for all the services to start. Any attempt to login to the OM may corrupt the  database. This is based on CiscoWorks.  When command "net stop crmdmgtd" is issued it takes about 5 minutes to stop the service and a confirmaiton that the service was stopped is displayed. However, when starting the service with "net start crmdmgtd"  there is no confirmation that it started successfully. One may look into ":\ program Files\CSCOpx\objects\dmgt\ready" directory for a _lock file." As long as the lock file is present one shouldn't  use the browser to login. However, I was advised the best approach is to restart the service and give it 30 minutes.
    It worked for me
    Kind regards,
    Bart.

    Hello
    Remove the following line:
    rs = comp.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.BoRecordset) as SAPbobsCOM.Recordset;
    You have created the rs object from ocompany. You would like to execute a query maybe over a table which will be added later on (in your code in the next lines), so who would handle this?
    Remember, the SAP B1 Gui is reconnects (re-reads) when you creating an UDF/UDT/UDO on a database where multiple users logged in.
    Not a bug, 2007 version working like this:
    So always the 1st step is the creation of Tables
    If a table has been created, you must reconnect the DI API !
    Then, every other operation, declaration, object values could come.
    Older versions of SAP B1 was working in a different way: way enabling the creation of UDT/UDO/UDFs in One rutin. I was caused a lot's of problems.

  • My iphone 3GS no longer syncs with iTunes. The phone is recognised, backs up but then I get an error message: "Waiting for changes to be applied". BUT unlike other people, it doesn't stay stuck on it, instead the process closes down immediately

    Hi all,
    Apologies: I've just joined the community and didn't quite figure how to write a msg! Hope it works...
    Anyway,
    I read many posts on this annoying error message (Waiting for changes to be applied) in the last 2/3 days, but they all refer to the sync staying stuck on it.
    Mine doesn't.
    I read the message, then it quickly shuts down the sync and the iTunes progress bar only shows the apple...
    As suggested by many, I removed voice msgs, turned off/on, tried to sync in individual stages (calendar only...) but nothing works.
    I am up to date on iTunes (11.1.1.11) and have IOS 6.1.3 on my phone, to sync on a Win8 pc (all worked fine until recently).
    I have had this phone for several years and it has never done this.
    It worked absolutely fine, until I loaded the latest version of iTunes it seems...
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks

    ALSO, on the iPod under Settings>General>iTunes Sync, you may need to back out of the "iTunes Wi-fi Sync," and reopen it to get it to update.
    (I use iTunes 11.1.5.5)

    Gorge

    Hi Gorge,
    The "Ref count error..." usually occurs in case of Meta Data objects not being properly cleared.  And yes, you have got the error in the right place, generally while creating tables / fields / UDOs.  For this, you just need to clear the Meta Data object (At times even DI objects like Record Set) once they are used.
    Eg: Release these objects in the below way in a Finally Block.
    System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(oRecordSet);
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Satish

  • I get the error message in QuickTime "operation stopped the operation is not supported for this media" most times when I try and export an .AVI file as something else (.m4v). I have not touched the file in any way (no trimming, clipping or other editing)

    I get the error message in QuickTime "operation stopped the operation is not supported for this media" most times when I try and export an .AVI file as something else (e.g. .m4v). I have not touched the file in any way (no trimming, clipping or other editing), all I want QuickTime to do is export the file in a compressed format. Bizzarely, if I shutdown and open QuickTime many times I can occasionally export a clip as another format (maybe one in 10 times). I have seen that other users have had a similar problem after clipping files in QuickTime but this seems to be a slightly different bug in that all I do is open the file and then try and export the file as is - either way, this is a very annoying bug

    @Z_B-B, thank you for taking the time to respond to my cry for help. However, the link you supplied does not address the problem: I am not trying to export from Final Cut Pro to QuickTime, I am trying to export from QuickTime to the rest of the world (like people's iPhones and Ipads) in .m4v format (so I am not emailing my freinds such huge files).
    If I were to spend hundreds of Dollars on a copy of Final Pro I could export directly from there and not have to bother with QuickTime, but I do not take enough video clips to justify the cost. I must say that I never had any of these problems before I decided to switch from Snow Leopard to Mountai Lion.

    Hi,
    Try running:
    SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('ErrorLogFileName')
    Then verify that the account being used to run the SQL Server service account has access to the path output above.  If possible, you could try logging onto the server with the same account used to run SQL Server then navigate to the errorlog folder.

    You are using multiple versions and it's still not clear what is happening but the CR 2008 reports should not be published to BusinessObjects Enterprise XI R2. CR 2008 has functionality that XI R3 does not support.
    Create reports in CR XI R2 for BOE R2.
    Also, your version of Enterprise has not been patched. You should have a Support contract which will allow you to get into our Gated site and update BOE. Then it may work but check with your administrators first before patching BOE.
    Thank you

  • Ref count for this object is higher then 0

    Hi Friends,
    I am facing problem of "Ref count for this object is higher then 0" when creating User define table / fields and at the time ot registration of object also. In my addon there almost 4-5 customized screens for which I have to create object. So I use SDK to create object
    While creating object it creates 1st 4 fields then it shows error if I start it again then it create next 4 fields and show error in next 5th field.
    I am using this code after creating udf
    //For checking fields for already created and destroy the object by using this snippet
    If System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.IsComObject(rsRecordset) Then
                    System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(rsRecordset)
                    rsRecordset = Nothing
                    GC.Collect()
                End If
    if not exist then I create it and release the object by using this snippet
       If Marshal.IsComObject(octfield) Then
                    System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject(octfield)
                    octfield = Nothing
                    GC.Collect()

    Thanks In Advance

    Hello
    Solution is very easy, and safe by the following methods. If you search the threads, you may find similar answers.
    Step 1. Create each User Defined tables. When you have created one  table, you can reconnect the DI API!
    Step 2. Create UDFs-, and do not check whether is exists or not. You may check the Return value of add method, if you receive the field is already exists, you go to the next step
    Step 3. Register objects
