Error in configuring database cahce

Dear friends,
I installed Oracle 9ias on the original oracle 9i database on the same machine. When I configured database
database cache. The followings error message appeared :
ORA-01034: Oracle not available
ORA-27101: share memory realm doesn't exist
SVR4 error: no such file or directory.
How can I fix them?

all, I'd like give more information about my situation: I have installed
oracle database 9i previously and it worked fine. Now I begin install oracle
9i IAS on the same machine and when I configure the database cache (one of
the component of IAS). It appeared the following errors:
Retrieving the golbal name
Retrieving the character set
Retrieving the national character set
Configuring the cahce
creating the Cache
starting up the Cache
setting up the cache
setting up the cahce listener
connecting to the cache
connecting to the cache failed
ORA-01034: Oracle not available
ORA-27101: share memory realm doesn't exist
SVR4 error: no such file or directory.
In your opinion . I need changethe database in no archievlog state, right?
Would you please give me some more details about your tips.

Database Cache is being phased out in 9iAS release 2. Please post all Database Cache questions on the general database discussion forum.

Error when configuring Database element in Call Studio

Dear all,
It is a UCCE system 9.0 with CVP 9.0 and CVP Call Studio 8.5
I am using the Database Element in order to connect to a MSSQL database.
The below has been done:
* Download JDBC driver: "sqljdbc_4.0.2206.100_enu"
* Copy sqljdbc.jar to CVP VXML Server's: C:\Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\Tomcat\common\lib folder
* Modify the context.xml file by adding the below:

* In the Call Studio application I put the JNDI Name to ivr.
But when I called the application, I got the below error in the Error log:
The error was: A built-in element encountered an exception of type java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException. The root cause was: java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver. Use the sqljdbc4.jar class library which provides support for JDBC 4.0.
I replaced the sqljdbc.jar by the sqljdbc4.jar but this has not solved my issue and I got the below error:
The error was: A built-in element encountered an exception of type com.audium.server.AudiumException. Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (This driver is not configured for integrated authentication. ClientConnectionId:01a41697-0e01-4876-819d-1e2e8733f24b) The root cause was: org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (This driver is not configured for integrated authentication.
Can someone help me to solve this issue.

Actually I have removed "integratedSecurity=true" from the Context.vxml and got my issue resolved.

Error while configuring database for foundation service on EPM 11.1.2.1

Hi,
I have installed the foundation service and the database is Oracle. Before I tried to configue database for it, I created a tablespace naming HYPFS in Oracle and also I created a user HYPFS whose default tablespace is HYPFS. I gave the user CONNECT and RESOURCE role, the privilege is also enough as SYSDBA.
In the configue panal, I entered the sid as orcl, the username is HYPFS and password *********, but I clicked the next step ,there came out an error. When I read the relavent log, the error is as folllows:

Should these tables like HSS_* be created automatically? How comes out such kind of error? Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance.

How are you creating the tablespace and user?
Name of the Tablespace and User should be in Capslock otherwise it gives issues
Is it through SQL Plus or through the Web Console?
Login to SQL Plus and try to execute the following query. I am assuming that oracle is installed on the C drive. The path of data file is valid only if it is on C drive

Error while configuring Enterprise manager

Hello,
I want to configure enterprise manager, while creating a new database using database configuration assistant in oracle 11g i am getting following error message
*"Configuring database with database control requires a listener to be configured in the current oracle home.
You need to run Netca to configure a listener before you can procede. Otherwise you may choose o continue with out Database control configuration"*
My OS is Windows 7
is there any other way to configure Enterprise manager OR do i need to install any specific package

What to do next?

Configured database is not compatible

When I try to open the inventory I get the error, configured database is
not compatible, trying to access a later version of the database. I have
the database configured for Sybase, which is suppossed to be the
default. However, I don't see a sybase database running on the server, I
do see a my sql database running on the server. Any ideas what to do
next? Thanks.

When in ConsoleOne I go to Tools>ZenWorks Inventory>Configure DB it tells
me the database is configured successfully. I checked the policys and
they seem to be setup correctly. When I try to do an Inventory Query, or
any othe data retrieval, I get the error:
The configured database is not a compatible database.
You are trying to access the later version of the ZenWorks database.
To me, it sounds like the ZenWorks engine and the Sybase database on the
server, are not the same or compatible. How do I check this and correct
this?

After I ran SharePoint configuration wizard successfully to upgrade to SharePoint 2013 / SP1.
I can open Central Administration site just fine.
but now when I open any Site collection, I got this error.
Server Error in '/' Application
This operation can be performed only on a computer that is joined to a server farm by users who have permissions in SQL Server to read from the configuration database. To connect this server to the server farm, use the SharePoint Products Configuration
Wizard, located on the Start menu in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products
I have restarted all the servers: SQL server, WFE and APP servers but still cann't get this resolve.
Services on all servers are running, IIS - application pools are running.
Can someone help with where that could be a problem or if there is a solution.

Please verify the followings:
Make sure that from the SharePoint front end and application servers that you can ping your SQL server.
Make sure that your Farm account has permission to the configuration database.
Lastly verify that your database didn't for some reasons go into recovery mode.
once everything is fine and you are still having issues, restart the SQL host service on the SQL server.
Once the service is restarted you will need to reboot Central Admin and then your front end servers.
In addition, as you built your farm inside the firewall, please disable the firwall, or create rules for SQL Server service in the firwall on SQL server.

Migration on active directory from 2003 to 2008 and SharePoint error Cannot connect to the configuration database.

I come across a problem while migrating the Active Directory from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2,
SharePoint 2010 is getting this error Cannot connect to the configuration database. The same goes for the Administrative page,
Nothing is change in the MySql database, same log in, same server name, i guess it have something to do with the SharePoint Farm,
My question is will reinstalling the SharePoint do the job? Or is there an easy way to get back on my old track?

You should just confirm that your basic infrastructure is working.

We have a SharePoint 2010 farm ,with more then 20 web application running . I am getting "Cannot connect to the configuration database" error in one web application when we browse through https
The same application is working fine when we browse through http . I am using AAM i have 2 web server which is been network load balanced and the https traffic comes through F5

Windows Azure Pack setup - 500 Internal Server Error - failed to configure databases and services

Hi,
I am trying to setup the Windows Azure pack to use the site to configure the Service bus 1.1 installation. When I try to configure the Windows Azure Pack I get the following error:
Admin Authentication Site
500 Internal Server Error - Failed to configure databases and services: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I'm not sure where the logs are to see what is causing this error. I have tried running as admin, running as a different user with no luck.

'No such host is known' error when configuring Reporting database

Hi,
We are joining two report server databases using reporting services config manager. The problem is when we are trying to connect database on another machine we are receiving following error at step 'generating Rights script'
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No such host is known
at System.Net.Dns.GetAddrInfo(String name)
at System.Net.Dns.InternalGetHostByName(String hostName, Boolean includeIPv6)
at System.Net.Dns.GetHostEntry(String hostNameOrAddress)
at ReportServicesConfigUI.RSDatabase.IsLocalDbServer(String dbServer)
at ReportServicesConfigUI.RSDatabase.GrantRSConnectionRights()
at ReportServicesConfigUI.RSDatabase.CreateNewDatabase()

We tried opening port 1434 for the Reportserver db machine. but it didnt worked for me.
Following are points i feel could be the reason of failure,
1. The two machine we are working on are in different domains.
2. The Product version of the two reporting servers are different.
Have anyone experienced this if yes any solution that i can try?

If we are using a remote database server for the report server database, we should refer to the following tips:
Enable remote connections. And we should also open your firewall software and open the port that SQL Server listens on. For the default instance, this is typically port 1433 for TCP/IP connections. To verify that the instance accepts remote connections,
please refer to the following article:

When you enable remote connections, the client and server protocols will also be enabled. To verify the protocols are enabled, please see:

When the database server is in a different domain or we are using workgroup security, we must configure the connection to use a SQL Server database login. In this way, we must update the report server database connection every time we change the password
or the account.
When creating a report server database, be aware that not all editions of SQL Server can be used to host the database. The following document is for your reference:

I'm having the same error message , but I was able to configure my HSS
Anyway, If I have all my Hyperion services running then suddenlly I get the error and I can not work any more with HSS
Maybe there is a limit in my connections or process or session in the database
