Error in connecting to liveCache from DBMGUI
hi all,
I am getting the following error while connecting to liveCache server.
First it throws a popup with "0" on it and then it throws another pop with the following message
Internal Error on page 'Main'
91: Object variable or With block variable not set.
Due to this error I am not able to see/perform some of the operations from DBGUI. Anyone is there to help me out please?
Thanks & Regards,
Venkat
No worries,
the reason is just that when the complete Database 7.6.00 Build 28 was created, the GUI version 7.6.00 Build 25 was still the newest (no additional changes or patches) and therefor this GUI version was packed into an archive which is labelled as Build 28.
Hope that clears that up a bit.
If you still experience the issue, please try to create a screenshot and send it to me by email. You can find my emailaddress on my SDN business card.

Error to Connect Oracle Files from Mac Os10 using smb protocol .
I connect my MacOs10 to oracle Workspaces using smb protocol but when I try to copy a file into a folder the system show me "error -36".
From the finder I type "apple -k" and then I write "smb://nomeserver". The system show me "User name" and "Password" and after the authentication I see "MyHome" resource on my desktop.
I navigate into MyWorkspaces folders and than I copy a file from a local directory. After a few second the system show me "error -36" and the file is not transferred from local to server.
Any idea?

Error in connecting to iCloud from Yosemite.
I recently upgraded to OS 10.10.2. I cannot access accounts on Mail or iCloud settings in System Preferences. When asked to sign into my iCloud account in System Preferences with the correct password, the following messages appears:
"Account Details could not be opened because of an error connecting to iCloud."
This is only unique to System Preferences on OS X. This problem isn't occurring on my iPhone, which is using iOS 8.1.3. Nor is this preventing me from accessing any of my account on iCloud.com.
Will I have to sign out of iCloud in Yosemite, thereby deleting all related date on my mac, and sign back in, in order to use iCloud in Yosemite again? Is there a better way of solving this problem? Thanks to all for your help and suggestions.

- OS 10.10.2

Error when connection to SQL2005 from MX7
I am trying to connect to a Microsoft SQL2005 database from
cfadmin on MX7. Seems pretty straightforward as it looks set up
like the cf5. However, I keep getting the following error:
"Connection verification failed for data source: ProfDev

Driver]Could not establish a connection using integrated security:
No LoginModules configured for JDBC_DRIVER_01
The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException:
[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Could not establish a connection
using integrated security: No LoginModules configured for
JDBC_DRIVER_01"
I have followed all thed directions from the documents
section- (
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/7/htmldocs/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm ?context=ColdFusion_Documentation&file=part_adm.htm)
I have sql set to integrated,etc and still no luck. Any ideas? Any
help would be appreciated.
Thanks,JSabrina,
Its all dependent on the application and whether its 32-bit or 64-bit. For example, SSRS reporting services 2008 R2 is a 64-bit application, so load the 64-bit oracle client there for report execution. Report builder is a 32-bit client application,
assuming its running on a different machine, so load the 32-bit oracle client on any user computers using RB 3.0 and working with Oracle. If the computers are one in the same, then do as the post above says, load both... -
Error while connecting to client from custom code 11g
Hi,
I am trying to connect to the OIM client using a simple code as per documentation in:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/dev.1112/e27150/apis.htm#CIHDFGAJ
The snipped is like:
System.out.println("Creating client....");
String ctxFactory = "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory";
String serverURL = "t3://Hostname:port";
String username = "username";
String password = "password";
Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
env.put(OIMClient.JAVA_NAMING_FACTORY_INITIAL,ctxFactory);
env.put(OIMClient.JAVA_NAMING_PROVIDER_URL, serverURL);
oimClient = new OIMClient(env);
System.out.println(" Logging in");
oimClient.login(username, password);
System.out.println("Log in successful");
Envoked the method in main class but i am recieveing following error:
Creating client....

at cgc.com.customcode.OIMCustomCode.changeEmail(OIMCustomCode.java:50)

A bit of inspection shows error on code line :
--> oimClient = new OIMClient(env);
Is this a known issue, is there a way out ?
Thanks in advanceThanks all,
Including jrf-api as per Sagar fixed the exception, then the error for APP_SERVER not found was coming:
I included the lines of code as suggested by NN:
System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config",authConfigLoc);
System.setProperty("APPSERVER_TYPE", "wls");
The code worked fine but giving some sort of exceptions:

Unable to connect to DB from OBIEE 11G
Hello experts
I have successfully installed OBIEE 11G on my Linux machine.. On Windows machine I have installed the client tool. Both are version 11.1.1.7.0.
I have my Tnsname.ora file saved in both Oracle_Home/network/Admin as well as OBIEE/Oracle_BI1/Network/Admin folder..
Now my DB is on a different linux machine, so my TNSname file has the correct entry for that..
I am able to connect to the DB from my OBIEE server machine through Putty by doing : sqlplus username/password@instance
However, from OBIEE side, I am not able to update rowcounts nor viewing reports..
From RPD side, I am getting errors: The connection has failed,
From report:
Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65PState: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. I have tried
http://123obi.com/2011/03/error-the-connection-has-failed-in-obiee-11g/
The problem persists.
Let me know what should I do to resolve this issue..
ThanksHi,
Lets try with these once
First copy the TNSnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files from ur Database following location:C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN
and paste these two files in ur Obiee installetion following two locations:
D:\MWHOME\Oracle_BI1\network\admin
D:\MWHOME\oracle_common\network\admin
Hope if it helps you..

Error while connecting to the database from a JSP Page
Hi,
I am using a simple JSP page which is based on the sample JSP pages from OTN.
When I try to connect to my database using the following code:
InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
OracleDataSource ds = (OracleDataSource)ic.lookup("jdbc/OTN9iDS");
m_connection = ds.getConnection();
I get the following error:
Naming exception Error while connecting to the database : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/OTN9iDS not found in JDBCTest-JDBCTestProject-webapp
Does anybody know wht this is happening?
Any help would be appreciated
FRankHi Frank,
Are you using standalone OC4J or 9iAS ? If you are using standalone OC4J then you need to add a proper data source entry in %OC4J_HOME%j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml file.
If you are using 9iAS the you can log in to the Enterprise Manager console and add the data source entry by using wizard provided by 9iAS.
Ensure the case of the JNDI lookup string, since, it is case sensitive.
Hope this helps.
Abhijeet
