Error in Data Reading in Virtual Provider

Hi Experts,
I am using a dummy system where I've created a created a DS in ECC and assigned it to a Virtual provider of type 'Virtual Providers with Staging Connect'.
While saving data into table in ECC I've entered some error records and as a result got error in VCube, So what my question is:
Can we edit the data in BW? (considering I don't have access to the table in ECC.)
Is it possible to create Error Stack DTP for VCubes?

I agree with Ganesh, as Virtual Providers are
InfoProviders with transaction data that is not stored in the object itself, but which is read directly for analysis and reporting purposes. The relevant data can be from the BI system or from other SAP or non-SAP systems. Virtual Providers only allow read access to data.
You can change the data at Source only

  • Error when using RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ in Virtual Provider

    Hello,
    I Have a Virtual Provider built using a function Module. In that function module i am reading data from an infocube using RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ.
    When i execute a query built on the virtual provider, i have an error telling me a nested query is not allowed.
    I am trying this on BI3.5. I have this working on BI7.0.
    Is this not possible in BI3.5? Is there a workaround or a Sapnote?

    Hi,
    I am receiving the below error message when reporting on a virtual provider/remote cube and unable to identify the root cause. Same error message is displayed when trying to view content of virtual provider/remote cube via listcube T-code or report created directly on remote cube or report created on a multiprovider which has this virtual provider.
    Error Message:
    An exception has occured
    Error in substep
    Error in substep
    Error reading the data of Infoprovider

    The extraction checker on the data source in RSA3 in R3 is fine. Can you please ellobrate on how to check if the custom view on the table GLPCA is active or not.
    Just to clarify, below steps have a been successfully carried in R3 and BW:
    1. R3- Creation of view on table GLPCA
    2. R3- Creation of reconciliation direct access data source based on this view
    3. BW- Replication of this data source in BW and activation of data source.
    4. BW- Linked the virtual provider with the data source through transformation and created and activated a DTP process.
    5. BW- Context menu of the virtual provider and clicked on activate direct access and save the selection.
    After all these steps when i try reading data through the virtual provider, i the recieve the error msg.

  • Error while trying to access data from virtual provider - Technical Content

    Hi,
      I am trying to install the new BI 2004s technical content.  I am done with the installation I am trying to display data for the remote cubes delivered i.e. 0TCT_VC11/21 etc. but getting an error:
    Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0TCT_VC11
    There is still no data source assigned to VirtualProvider 0TCT_VC11
    The virtual providers are of type "virtual provider based on DTP"  since standard technical content didnt have any DTPs for the VC cubes I tried to create some direct access DTPs based on datasources 0TCT_DS11 but there also getting error:
    Source doesnt support direct access
    I saw the type for datasource 0TCT_DS11 and its using SAP SAPI and not direct access and couldnt change the type actually the same datasource is also used by cube 0TCT_C11 so changing the type probably wouldnt have been a good idea.
    I found the following notes 996735 and implemented its change...but no use...
    we are on SP10 and content 7.03 SP2.  Can anybody please help??

    The above mentioned solution is a good idea but in this context not appropriate as it aims at resolving an issue in the delivered Content Version of 0TCT_VC11.
    In your case, you already have 0TCT_VC11 activated and you can not read any data from this VirtualProvider in queries. Right?
    In that case, you have to:
    1. Check that the entire data flow is active for the InfoProvider (activation should occur for the MYSELF source system): 0TCT_VC11 with InfoSource 0TCT_IS11 with DataSource 0TCT_DS11
    2. Activate the direct access for the VirtualProvider (Context menu of 0TCT_VC_11 > Activate Direct Access > Source Syst. for InfoSource3.x > Mark the column with the MYSELF source system and Save).
    This corresponds to Installation "Step 5.) Activate direct access for virtual providers" that is mentioned in SAP Note 934848 "Collective note: (FAQ) BI Administration Cockpit".

  • SCOM 2012 R2 Reporting services installation error - data reader account

    I have successfully installed SCOM 2012 R2 and SQL 2012 SP1 on the same server. I was trying to install the reporting server piece of SCOM.
    When I get to the part that asks for a domain account, I get this error:
    "Data Reader account provided is not same as that in the management server"
    The account is not the same as the management server, and it does have read access to the data warehouse and reporting databases. Is there some other permission this account needs for reporting services?

    I usually create the following account for SQL:
    AD accounts for the following to be used with SQL Services:
    SQL Agent for SQL Server Agent
    SQL Analysis Services for SQL Server Analysis
    SQL Database Engine for SQL Server Database Engine
    SQL Reporting Services for SQL Server Reporting Services
    For SCOM I create the following accounts:
    SCOM DR - Used to deploy reports
    SCOM DWR - for writing data from the management server to the reporting DW
    SCOM MSA - Performs default actions
    SCOM SDK - Used for updating/reading information from the operations Manager Database - Needs to be local administrator on the SCOM server

    Hello Friends we have the web template that was working before , we did the upgrade to SP13 from SP11.
    It gives the error Valid Data provider not assigned and
    Bad integer Parameter value of Parameter BLOCK_COLUMNS_SIZE of Object item:ANALYSIS_ITEM:ANALYSIS;
    Please help where do i need to assign the Data provider beacuse the Values are same for Dataprovider as before

    Open the template in WAD and do a validation against the server and make sure the template is well formed.
    Also make sure you apply BI JAVA Patch 1 for SPS 13.

           I am working on Virtual cubes. I have created a query on virtual cube which is getting loaded from a transaction cube. I am using  a transaction cube which is a  copy of standard cube <b>0BCS_C10 - Consolidation (Company/Profit Center).</b> (Transaction cube).
    When I execute the query in BEX it is disconnecting from the server and if I execute the same in transaction <b>RSRT</b> it is showing following errors.
    1.Unable to determine data basis for virtual InfoCube.
    2.Error reading the data of InfoProvider.
    3.System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form RSRDR;SRRK0F30-01-
    Will be thankful for suggestions.

            Transaction cube contains data and characteristics of virtual cube are  consistent.
              I am trying to see the contents of the virtual cube in transaction <b>LISTCUBE</b>, there also its showing same errors.
    How can I proceed now?

  • Microsoft Cursor engine error 80004005 Data provider or other...

    I'm using Oracle 9i and ASP. And it works fine except for a query that returns like more than 6000 records and I get this error:

    Data provider or other service returned an E_FAIL status

    The thing is that on my development server it works just fine, and on the production server it cracks. In line 60 I'm trying to read a record, and when the query returns like 1000 records it works perfect.

    Well, you're in a somewhat bad spot. You should generally use server-side cursors and you're using client-side. Likewise, you're using Microsoft's OLE DB Driver for Oracle (known for issues) instead of Oracle's :(
    For the Microsoft driver, the only thing I can think of is switching to server-side cursors. I know that's not much help, but I can't think of anything else that would cause that kind or odd error.
    As I'm done with lunch now, I gotta get back to work.

    I've tried the following things so far (in this particular order):
    - Loaded BIOS defaults
    - Flashed the BIOS with latest BIOS (2.80) for this model type
    - Reinstalled windows with HDD format
    All of these haven't worked.
    I've seen the same message appearing on several places on the internet (on different laptops with a Phoenix BIOS in common), but until now I haven't been able to find a working solution.
    It might me a hardware issue, but all devices (vga, soiund, lan, wifi, usb, hdd) seem to work just fine in Windows, so this doesn't seem the issue). Another solution that is mentioned in some forums is replacing the cell battery. But because the laptop keeps time properly I don't think this is the case either.
    Any ideas ?

    It seems that the power on self test has detected a hardware error... :(
    I think such a problem like this you cant solve with loading the default settings in BIOS or with an update because its hardware based error.
    In your case I would contact an authorized service provider. The guys can check your notebook because they have special diagnostic tools for Toshiba notebooks and access to all Toshiba databases I think.

    Usually they work really fast and you will have a short repair time I think. In my case it did take only one week until I got my notebook back. :)

    The second issue is when I try to select "Manually Manage Music"
         The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes libary on "MY-PC".  Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?  An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time.  Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
    So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music.  I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?
    Anyone have any ideas?

    I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it.
