Error in Data Transfer Process (DTP) Urgent!

Hi,
ive encountered an error in uploading data from R3 using DTP in a specific cube and it says "Exceptions in Subset: Load and Generation" and "Dump: ABAP/4 processor: MESSAGE_TYPE_X", how can i fix this problem? is there any problem with the upgrade process of our system or in KERNEL? and what is KERNEL? Please help me guys.....

It looks like a Memory issue. Try restarting the load when the system is relatively free.

Hi,
i'm getting "Errors in data transfer process" message when i try to run conntrans. when i see the detials error log in trouble shooting ( in client console), i get this following message in detials ( see the bold letters). can some one help me. i have check all the connections between mobile and CRM server. will reward points!!!

We have installed MSA 4.0 (SP12 ). we have also checked QMT config in Mobile sales bin folder. The test connection is sucessfull.( see the below message). we stil have problems in Data transfer when we run connstrans. Please help .

Errors druing Data Transfer process

Hello!
I go through the SAP BW example and have the following error by generating Data Transfer process.
I have corrected the errors (from "EURO" to "EUR") in CSV-files, but I get still the errors:
No SID found for value 'EURO ' of characteristic 0CURRENCY
No SID found for value 'U1 ' of characteristic 0UNIT
I have recreated the flat files/.csv-files, deleted and created the info cube, but the error still occurs.
What are the steps to fix the error?
How can I know which data source contains the error?
What are the possible values for 0CURRENCY and 0UNIT?
Can some one give some recommendation?

Hello,
You need to delete the data from PSA after an Unsuccessful load, if you want to load it again after correcting data in the source (Flat file in ur case). Right click ur datasource->Manage. Select the request which failed and hit the delete button (trash) at bottom. Now try loading it again.
To get all possible values of currencies and units defined in your system. check contents of following tables:
TCURC - Currency Codes (field -WAERS)
T006 - Units of Measurement (field - MSEHI)

Hi,
Can any one tell me whats the cause of error coming in DTP's process and that too in HEADER tab?It shows red in technical status although data is loaded in the target.

Hi Sanyakta,
if the status is red there is error in loading , you will not be able to view your data in datatargets
when there is an error it usally comes in all the tabs, header details ad status tabs
You check the detail tab for furthur analysis.
For error there may be a lot of reasons

Regarding Transformation and Data Transfer Process(DTP)

Dear Gurus
1) Transformation replaces the transfer rule and update rule.
2) DTP replaces the info package.
Hencse, there is a some advantages are there in Transformation and DTP.
I couldn't understand in help.sap.com.
Could you please tell me in simple language what all are the new features are there in Transformation and DTP which is not possible in Transfer rule, Update rule and infopackage.

Data Transfer Process (DTP) - Messages Never Received and Times Out

Hello,
I'm having an Issue with DTPs at the moment. First I'll give you a little background on the system
Formerly BW 3.1, upgraded recently to BI 7.0 (Support Pack 15). Most of our Data Flows are still under 3.x style, but many are being migrated or recreated under BI 7.0 standards.
I am able to successfully load data using DTPs however on many, and seemingly random, occasions the message for individual data packages under "Processing -> Updating InfoProvider" never arrive, and thus the DTP never completes and eventually times out.
Under BW 3.x it was a simple matter of changing the QM status to Red and then "Update Manually" on the data package that did not receive the message. This would reprocess and complete the data package, allowing you to then turn the QM status Green and move on.
Under BI 7.0 I do not seem to have any options for the Data Packages regardless of QM status. I have not found a way to resolve this situation and in every instance had to delete the request from the InfoProvider and try again. It seems like a rather large design flaw, so I'm hoping I'm missing something.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Three things to be noted:
1. Dont use the std. settings of 50000 records. Change it to 10000 records in DTP.
2. Since you are not getting till Updating tab, I foresee something wrong with routine..start/end/transformation. Check there how much time it is taking.
3. I dont think we have any option as you mentioned for QM. We need to delete the req and start the DTP again.

How can I delete a Data Transfer Process DTP ?

I'm trying to delete a backup cube I don't need any more. I get message "InfoProvider xxx is being used externally". It tells me its being used by DTP_4JI7IPQWI6F7IY1O3H0D6RGYM. I can't find this DTP in Modeling, but it does exist when I look in the Metadata Repository. I can see it in table RSBKDTPSTAT where field OBJSTAT = INA and field ACTIVFL = X - which I think indicates there is a problem. It also exists on table RSBKDTPTH. Can anybody tell me how to delete it so that I can delete the cube eg is there a program that can do it? Thanks, Brigitte

The DTP in question may have been hidden from viewing due to some failed transport.
You might have to locate that DTP in your dev system and transport it to production again and then delete in dev system and transport the deletion to production again.

You use the data transfer process (DTP) to transfer data within BI from a persistent object to another object in accordance with certain transformations and filters
It is like a replacement of the info packages in the olderr versions.
Data transfer processes are used for standard data transfer, for real-time data acquisition, and for accessing data directly.

In BI 7,using info packages you can only load data upto PSA. To load the data from PSA to data targets we use DTP's.

Issues in Data Transfer Process

Hello All,
After creating transformation from Infosource to InfoCube, now i am trying to data transfer process.
In DTP Type it displays "DTP for direct process", but i need DTP type as Standard(Can be scheduled).
Its giving me an error as "Source does not support direct access"
Could any one help me to solve this error.

Hi,
You can only use the type DTP for Direct Access as the target of the data transfer process for a VirtualProvider.

Transporting of Data Transfer Processes fails

Hi to you all!
Ive a problem when transporting DTPs
Always the import of a DTP fails in the after-import method RS_DTPA_AFTER_IMPORT with the same error message.
At the step Post Processing/Checking the Activation for Data Transfer Process <name of DTP> the following error occurs:

PSA table name was blank
**** Error from PSA ****
Error when activating Data Transfer Process

So I built a test case with a simple DTP.
First I successfully transported a simple InfoObject as the source of the DTP.
Then I successfully transported a simple DataStore-Object as the target of the DTP.
Next I successfully transported the transformation of the DTP.
The transport of a DTP still fails with the error message mentioned above.
Ive no idea what the error message what to tell me
Any suggestions?

Activation of Objects with Type Data Transfer Process

Hi Experts,
I am stuck in a problem of activation of DTP. I loaded the data from the Datasource to PSA and there are about 200,000 reocrds.
Now I wanted to take this load to DSO NEW table ..I have created a DTP and when I try to activate the DTP I get this Error

I deleted the DTP and created back again
logged out of BW and logged back again
Infact I found a SAP note 1086877 and i applied it ..but it still didint help
Whie loading the Master Data from PSA to DTP ..it worked fine.
While Loading the transactrion data I went to Tcode RSBATCH and in the drop down I selected the DTP activation and gave a 3 Back ground processes....Ever since that it started giving me problem
Your help will be appreciated...my data loads are stalled ..i mean I cant move forward.
