Error in Data updation From ODS TO CUBE

hello Experts
We are working on BW 3.5
for FI GL line items we are loading the data to ODS and than to Cube.
earlier there was a process chain failure 2 months back so delta were stuck for 2 months now about 10 million records have been uploaded in ODS but when i am tryint to upload these records to CUBE via delta upload its giving Error

i would like to know how to correct this and from where this error is coming as the same data is loaded to ODS and there its OK and secondly as there is no PSA bw ODS and Cube Do i need to delete the request and upload again
what if same error appears again should i write a start routine in update rule Between ODS and CUBE for special characters

Goto All Elementary Tests in RSRV
Goto Master data
Select the required test
Select your Infoobject
Execute the test
You will get the result with errors or no errors
If you get errors, then you click "Correct Error" button.

Updating the last date request from ODS to CUBE

Dear Friends,
Please can someone explain me.
i allways update request from ods to cube, sometime there will be 3 to 4 request in the ods which wont have the Data mart (Tick) and when i update it to the cube. i can only see 1 request which is current date request. i dont know whether the previous days request has been updated to the cube.???
but i see in the ODS that all the data mart (tick) is available for all the request.
And please can someone explain me, if i have many request in the ods, current date previous day and so on.
Is there any way to update in such a way, where i can see all the dates in the Cube instead of only 1 request with current date in the cube.
when i delete the request from the cube and remove the tick from the ods, and refresh, then suddenly the current request and all the previous request TICK will be gone...

if you know everday how many request are getting updated in infocube as one request the you can check the added records in infocube .. it should be equal to the sum of all those request ..
but transferred can be more or equal .. also its depends on the
update rules ..designing ..

Data loads from ODS TO CUBE

   i have delta loads comming into the ODS. i do full update from ODS to the cube by date range for material moments no. last time when i loaded the data, it loaded few for the date range. rest did not load and sitting at ODS. this is full load and tried to load again. any suggestions...

Hi Srinivas,
        check your update rules between ODS and cube whether they are mapped properly(check your date range for the cube load).
         Do a Init load and then do the delta load.

You should do further update from ODS ONLY after "Activate data in ODS"
This means, the data will be picked from Active table of ODS.

Problem with update from ODS to Cube

Hi All,
I had an issue, when i was loading from ODS to Cube everything was fine except one data package failed coz of some object locked( User : myself, though i wasn't running anything else except this), but i check in SM12 no locks exist for that particular time.
apparently the load failed coz of this single package, its a load from ODS to Cube, so no chance of Manual update from PSA.
any suggestion: do i have to repeat that load all over again( sucks !!! it is for 40 mil)

Check the Job log fro ur Job in the SM37 and check for that Datapackage is there any thing failed liek
"ARFCSTATE-SYSFAIL" if this is there .. it means its an Deadlock .. please check the ST22 dump...
U can use the PSA...
1) go to the 8ODS infosource and copy the Delta IP
2) check the option in the processsing as Update PSA and the subsequently into the data targets
3) Schedule the IP manually

Data loading from ODS to CUBE

Hi All,
I have loaded data from ODS to CUBE. now i have requirement to add some fields in the standard cube. so, for testing purpose i have created copy of the original and created transformation . now when i try to load data from ODS it shows me no more data available . while data is already there in ODS.
now what should i do ? i don't want to delete data from original cube. is there any other way to load data through transformation ?

Hi,
Check the DTP of old cube n see whether its Delta. If yes then check whether any one of the foll is check:
1) get delta only once
2) get data by request.
If 1 is checked then delta wont come for the second cube as it says to get delta once and delta is already in one of the cube.
Generally both should be unchecked but can vary as per requirements.
Now for your new DTP, i dont think it will aloow you to change to FULL.
If its allowing you to select FULL, then select it and select from acive table.
try to load and see.

No data loaded from ODS to Cube

Hi,
I am trying to do init with data transfer from 0FIAP_O03 to 0FIAP_C03...
though there is data in the ODS, nothing is loaded to the cube. It just says
No data available
Diagnosis
The data request was a full update.
In this case, the corresponding table in the source system does not
contain any data.
System Response
Info IDoc received with status 8.
Procedure
Check the data basis in the source system.
Any suggestions?

Hi
"Info IDoc received with status 8" implies that there is no data in the source.
But as you say, that data is there in the source(ODS), then there is some inconsistency in the data source and you need to replicate the data source and reactivate that.
IDoc Status 8 signifies that there is no data in the source and its not any error.

Also goto sm58 and clear the idoc there.

Data Update from ODS to Data Target

To update data from ODS to Infocube, I right clicked on ODS and selected update data in targets and then scheduled it. But in the monitor I am getting an error and status remains yellow. The error is:

The note contains a setting that you need to make in case of Data mart too.
"If you download data via the MySelf connection, you must check the
ROIDOCPRMS table in the BW system."

We have some data loads from ODS to Cube (Deltas)

Dear Experts,
We can see request status green in DSO but in cube it is in yellow and not available for reporting (the request got compressed)
I want to make the status to green and available for reporting but i could'nt do it as i can see some popup message saying the request is already activated and change QM status not possible.
when i run the delta again that also becomes yellow status due to the previous request's was in yello status.
please suggest me how to change the status of compressed request and why it is happening.

Chk whether automatic request processing--->Set quality status Ok checked or not?
It might be in manage of cube, in the menu-->goto options somewhere
as I was not before the system ...I couln't guide u exactly...

i had a sales order full load ex A1234 100
                                                    B1453   50
AND NEXT THE SALES ORDER A1234 IS CHANGED TO 200 (R/3 TCODE ME22)
SO NOW WE DO DELTA AND THE DSO HAS
A1234   200(OVERWRITTEN)
B1453    50
BUT IN CUBE I HAVE A1234   300 (ADDED INSTEAD 100 SHOULD BE OVER WRITTEN BY 200)
COULD YOU PLEASE GIVE ME A SOLUTION.

Hi there,
You have several options.
The best one is to use delta between DSO and InfoCube. This will make the difference in the InfoCube between the old value 100 and the new one 200, and would give you the right result.

Error in updating data from ODS to CUBE.

I am tryin to load data manually from ODS to CUBE in NW2004s.
This is a flat file load from the datasource to the ODS and then from the ODS to the CUBE.
In the CUBE, I am trying to populate fields by using the ODS fields.
For eg.
In the ODS, a CHAR Infoobject has the data in the timestamp format(i.e. mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm ). I need to split this data and assign them to the two individual DATE and TIME Infoobject in the CUBE.
For this, I have done the coding in the Transfer Structure in the Rule Group.
The time field is gettin populated , but the date field is not getting populated.
I get an error as Eg:
Value '04052007' for CHAR 0DATE is not plausible
Due to this, the corresponding records is not getting displayed
Also, the records where the time id displayed, the date is not getting displayed inspite of the date being correct.
Please help me with a solution for this.

SAP accepts the date format in YYYYMMDD, so in the routine where you have concatenate the day month year...just do it in reverse order.....

Summing up key figure in Cube - data load from ODS

Hello Gurus,
I am doing a data load from ODS to cube.
The records in ODS are at line-item level, and all needs to be summed up at header level. There is only one key-figure. ODS has header and line-item fields.
I am loading only header field data ( and not the item-field data) from ODS to Cube.
I am expecting only-one record in cube ( for all the item-level records) with all the key-figures summed up. But couldn't see that.
Can anyone please explain how to achieve it.
I promise to reward points.

It is "summation". And it cannot be changed. (Or at least I do not know how to change it.)
There are other dimensions in the cube - which corresponds to the field(s) in ODS.
But, I just mentioned these two (i.e. header and item-level) for simplicity.

Data tranfer from ods to infocube

Hi Friends,
I have created ODS and infocube, the data was loaded on ods sucessfully , but when tried to transfer the data from ods to infocube, the error comes. the update rules and data flows are shown correctly as in FUFU book.
the errors comes as check the load and after that the infopackage ask to delete the init request in same cube.
can anyone suggest the right way of tranferring the data from ODS to INFOCUBE and the issues to check.

Recheck whether you have the request Activate data in ods (odsrcactivate data & Activate Data automatically while ods creation & odsmanageRequest tab -- request -- Activate)
If the Data is there in Active Data table then try to update the same with Update Rules.
While Info Package from ods--Cube -- the Info Package Selection should be Delta ( Init is already there in your cube as I have seen the error message you mentioned)

Via Info Package -- Data Target Tab -- Schedule it with options Delta --
Info Package -- Monitor -- Update Manually (Wheel)
Adding it in Process chain

is
1.Name is not in the namespace for generated BW Metaobjects
2.Error 18 in the update
And this error is occuring only in quality server.

make sure that the Data source is replicated and tranfer rules r active.
And also check whether the all transport requests r imported properly.

When l am loading data from ODS to Cube with help of data mart, I am getting error in QA system , IN DM system ,every thing went well.IF i see the detail tab in monitor under Processing .
Its is showing like this .
Transfer Rules : Missing Massage.
Update PSA : missing massage.
Processing end : missing message.
I have checked the coding in update rules, everything is ok.
Plz any inputs.

Might means that IDocs flow is not defined properly in your QA system for myself-SourceSystem.
