Error in Dataload

Dear Experts,
We recently upgraded from Bw 3.x to BI 7.0.
The content for BI Admin Cockpit was installed as well.Now, in one of the statistics cubes namely - 0TCT_C23 the dataloads (delta) are failing.Now i figured out that it is because of one errorneous record in the PSA.The help text on that record says ::"Generation of Masterdata Routine for Characteristic 0TIME blocked , BRAIN 94 is the message code.
Can someone help me understand what could be done other than manually correcting the record and then loading it in to the data targets please....
Thank you,
Regards,
Kabierr.

hi
we stumbled on the same problem when upgrading to SCM 7.0
the errormessage was shown in 3 DTPs running in parallel using the same source.
in each DTP we had specified #5 background processes.
when we ran each DTP indepently we still had the problem
when we ran each DTP one after the other using #1 background process, the DTP finished succesfully
then we ran again the DTPs , again in parallel, and again with #5 processes,, everything was fine !
so this was clearly related to the upgrade and a one time event as the system had to generate the master data routines (and clearly this does not work with parallelization)
hope this helps for other people doing an upgrade as i did not found any info in OSS regarding this errormessage
best regards
Marc

• Max. Errors in Dataload error file

Hello
I am loading data in essbase cube and i am having about 1000 rejections showing in dataload error file. I doubt there are some more rejections which are not showing up. Is there any way to select max. limit of errors in dataload error file. If this is the case, i need to increase the limit.
Thanks

John is, of course, as per usual, correct, but this whole exchange has me wincing.
Look, you should never have more than 1,000 bad records. Really, you shouldn't have 10 bad records.
Ever.
There has to be a better process than, "I will load the data, I will get 30,000+ bad loads, I will laboriously review the dataload.err file and fix each issue, one by one, then clear out and reload (or maybe just load the errors and not clear out all data), until the next 30,000+ bad records come through, blah, blah, blah."
How about figuring out ahead of time what's in Essbase and what's in the data, identify the difference, and load to hierarchy (if indeed that is desired, otherwise exclude from source) the missing members?
Yes, I know, people do use the dataload.err file to do that, but that is a recipe for pain and agony.
Just a thought.

• Essbase Studion Dataload error

Hi There,
work on essbase studion (11.1.1.3), able to deploy dimensions successfully, the error I got is from load data, I take the SQL I use in essbase studio, and run it from SQL, then save the data file.
I reload the data from EAS, and it is successful. But I keep getting error when deploying data from essbase studio, it is the same sql. Essbase studio error log:
Dataload errors sample:
Error: 3303;#~@12#0#257#0@#~@3#0#488#0@#~140099;2010     140099      0000003039     13130      Nov     5203      14964.420     ;

So I am wondering why the same sql data, loading through EAS without any issue, but got the above error loading through studio.

I look at the error, it seems complaining 140099 and 150099 which is DeptID, here is sample data return with these two deptids from data set:

• Data Load Error - Unknown Item

Under the advisement of an Oracle engineer our users were instructed to export the data from one of their DBs using "Level 0 Data", and then import the data back into the database. This process was needed in order to allow us to restore compression on our DBs as it had been lost during a patching process.
In any event,
I've exported the data to a .txt file and now I am attempting to load the file back into the database. I am receiving the below error:
Parallel dataload Enabled: [1] block prepare threads, [1] block write threads.
Unknown Item[-1. #IND] in Data Load, [360639] Records Completed.
Unexpected Essbase error 1003000
I did some searching on the web and located a discussion topic dealing with this type of an error. Id indicated that the error was related to an attempt to write a value to the DB that does not have a corresponding "table" in the DB. I 'kind of see' that from the error message, but I don’t understand how it could be occurring if the data export and import are occurring on the exact same application DB.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

It is a planning database, if so log on my oracle support and have a read of -
Error "1003000 Unknown Item [1.#QNAN] or [-1.#IND] in Data Load, [xxxx] Records Completed" [ID 961934.1]
Even if it is not there is invalid data that has been exported.
Cheers

• Flat file data loading error

Hi All,
I am loading data from flat file. It is given error .File is avilable in selected directory and not opend but it showing return code 01.
That error message is like this.
Diagnosis
An error occurred in the source system.
System Response
Caller 09 contains an error message.
Further analysis:
The error occurred in Extractor .
Refer to the error message.
Procedure
How you remove the error depends on the error message.
Note
If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory, that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.

Hi,
While loading data from a flatfile, it is always better to first check the 'Preview' which is basically simulating the dataload from the file to check if the format is correct. You can do this by clicking on the 'Preview' button in the External Data tab within the infopackage. When you click on the 'Preview' button, it asks you for the number of header rows to be ignored and the number of records you want check from the file. If there is an issue with a particular field or the file, it will give an error message. You can correct the same and them do the actual dataload.
Commom errors during dataload from a file are:
1. You keep the file open and try to load the data. Please close the file before you start the dataload.
2. Data seperator and the number of header rows not specified correctly. Kindly double check.
3. Sequence of fields in the file and the infosource do not match .
Check the above points and see if it is useful.
Regards,
Shilpa

Hi there!
I am very new in Essbase and I am receiving the error message quoted below while trying to load data in a Cube. Weird thing is that we have checked all connections already and they are working correctly, however this process is still failing.

So, we checked the database and noticed the schema and their views were damaged and -due to this- they lost all their properties (like data types, for example). So, we had to recompile all of them in order to avoid any loss of data. This was done in TOAD, as per the following info: https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL66821
Finally, once all the views on this schema were rebuilt and fixed, we were able to deploy the Cube again.
Hope this help in the future. Cheers!!

• Essbase Studio Cube Deployment SQL Connection Error

Hello,
Has anyone seen this error in studio.

Caused By: Failed to build Essbase cube dimension: (Accounts)
Caused By: Cannot incremental build. Essbase Error(1021001): Failed to Establish Connection With SQL Database Server. See log for more information
I connected to the SQL database without issue creating the data source and I can view the sample data on the dimension element. The only time I have a connection issue is during cube deployment. The log is no help.
Thanks

Hi Celvin
Thanks for your reply.
I can connect from the same Essbase Server from the data source connection used in the Essbase Studio console.
I am not using any encrypted passwords.
I can log into MaxL with no issues, but running trying to execute the following command is where I get the error.
deploy all from model 'GL_Analysis' in cube schema '\ANALYSIS\Schema\Schema' with option delete_members login $1 identified by $2 on host 'server1' to application 'test1' database 'test1' overwrite values using connection 'essbaseserver' keep 200 errors on error ignore dataload write to default;
It allows me to connect and deploy sucessfully using the Maxl installed from the Essbase client version 11.1.2.2. However running the MaxL installed from the Essbase client MaxL version 11.1.2.3 seems to provide me with the connection issue. I am trying to determine if it is a bug or something that was missed during upgrade process.
Currently we need to deploy via the Studio.
Thanks.

• Encrypted Maxl "Parse error near in" error

Hello,
I'm facing a "Parse error near in" error when trying to use encrypted Maxl scripts deploying Essbase Studio cubes.
The problem seems to be in the deploy command. If I do not use encrypted Maxl ( -D option ), the same deploy command works fine.
Look in the deploy command that I'm not using encryption for loging into Essbase Studio. Even using encryption the same error is issued.

There have been a number of MaxL bugs with encryption that produce 'Parse error near...' messages. If you login to Oracle Support and search the Knowledge Base on 'Parse error near' you will find them. I can't see anything specifically relating to 11.1.2.1 or a known defect in the release notes... ...I'd get a support ticket raised, if you haven't already.
You don't mention platform, but I've also run into a bug running 'deploy' in 11.1.2.1 on a 64-bit Windows environment and there was a Unix bug too, but they both caused crashes so probably aren't your problem.

• Essbase Studio MAXL scripts not running

Hi All,
I am currently working on Essbase Studio 11.1.2.0. with Windows 2007 sp1 with 64 bit operating system . I have my datasources set to oracle database.
I am trying to create an outline through maxl scripts. My essbase services etc are running fine.
Steps of execution with the command are given below:
1. Click on the Start button, click on run, enter cmd
2. create the following maxl script named as ocreate.scr using notepad and save it. The login and password are correctly defined.
======================================================================================================
deploy outline from model 'BestModel' in cube schema '\Mydirect\Cube Schemas\Best' login 'XXXXXXX' identified by 'XXXXXX' on host 'UDANASESSBA1' to application 'test' database 'test' using connection 'Essbase_QA_Connection' keep 100000 errors on error ignore dataload write to default;
exit;
========================================================================================================
3. Run the above script as :
Essmsh ocreate.scr
On running the above script I get the following error:
===================================================
Essmsh.exe has stopped working
====================================================
Can anyone help here.
Thanks in advance
Bk

I believe there was an issue with deploying studio using 64bit Maxl, the workaround was to deploy using 32bit Maxl.
More information available in Oracle Support - "Error "essmsh.exe has stopped working" with MAXL Deploy Script Generated from Essbase Studio on Windows 64-bit [ID 1382589.1]"

• Access denied: HTTP - Host Request with Widget Foundation + Yahoo

Hi,
I have a problem with the new Yahoo widget engine's (4.5) suggested structure, when trying to execute an RFC request.
An older version of my .kon file has a classic structure, and it works fine, I write the script into the .kon file, it looks like this:
<action trigger = "onLoad">
<![CDATA[
// Standard SAP Widget Foundation Libraries
include("js/utils/Common.js");
include("js/utils/PlatformUtil.js");
include("js/utils/Timer.js");
include("js/utils/DataLoader.js");
include("js/utils/RFCRequest.js");
request.execute(function(response) ...
]]>
</action>
When I try to use the new structure (the .kon file contains only the source of the script, no CDATA, just 'src = "Scripts/Main.js"' ), and execute the request from the source JavaScript file, then I get this error:
utils.DataLoader]> Exception was catched: XMLHttpRequest.send(): Access denied: HTTP - Host Request.
Saw anybody this problem already?
Thanks,
Gyuri

Hi,
Yahoo has added security control in widgets since 4.5. You should add tag <security> in your widget.xml
<security>
<http>all</http>
<filesystem>full</filesystem>
<command>true</command>
<hotkey>true</hotkey>
</security>

• Studio MaxL Help

Hi Experts,
Currently i am loading the ASO cube using essbase studio maxl script.
Could you please help me what script i have to attach to this *"to enable query tracking and to use already saved aggregation list*".
*"deploy data from model 'XXXX' in cube schema '\XXX' login 'XXX' identified by 'XXX' on host 'XXX' to application 'XXX' database 'XXX' overwrite values use streaming build using connection 'XXXX' keep 200 errors on error ignore dataload write to default;"*

• FDM Essbase Adapter - Duplicate members from same dimension on data records

I am getting this error message when trying to export data to Essbase using FDM.
Error - Duplicate members from same dimension on data records.
Though this error looks quite straight forward, I could not find any thing in the data file to indicate the same. I even tried loading a single row data, but still got the same message.
What other things I should be looking at to fix this issue?
Thanks.

There are one or two previous threads on this, but this might give you some help to start with as it links to an esssbase document which gives suggestions for the error message:
Error in dataload- Duplicate Members From Same Dimension On Data Record
another thread indicated that the first record had a blank in it and by re-sorting to have the first records with all fields populated resolved the issue (not sure on this one).
from the FDM side:
1. Are the dimensions correctly mapped in the Essbase adaptor?
2. Are the dimensions in the correct sequence for loading to Essbase.
3. Does the same value appear In more than one field (Can't remember but i think essbase didn't use to allow the same member name across dimensions).

• 0IC_C01 No data available in the infocube maintenance

Hi Experts,
Recently i've implemented Inventary. After loading Inventary stock, Material movements, Revaluations. I can't view data in the infocube contents.
Where i'm doing mistakes please share your ideas.
Siri

Hi Siri,
You mean to say that data laod was successful but you could'nt find records in the Infocube.What was the processing type you used in the Processing tab page?.
Try loading data from PSA manually if nothing works(Temporary solution only).
If there are any errors during dataload please do the appropriate corrections.
Regards,
Harold.
