Error in deploying war

Dear all,
When we are deploying a war file in Soa 10.1.3.4 . we are getting the following error :
Exception Creating EntityManagerFactory using PersistenceProvider class oracle.toplink.essentials.PersistenceProvider
Did any one faced this error before ?
Please advise
Kai

Do you specify the persistence provider explicitely? Try without it.
Also check for a more detailed error in the stderr/stdout log files.

    Wow, that's a really unhelpful error message.
    It sounds like your web app is attempting to use a malformed tag library. Did you create your own TLD file? In either case, check your web app for *.tld files. One of them apparently contains a <displayname> element instead of a display-name attribute.

  • Error while deploying war file inOC4J through o9ias

    Dear friends
    I receive an error while deploying a war file to oracle 9i application server stating that one or more process is running, shutdown by 9iAS or by enterprise manager or use dcmctl resynInstance to free the resource.
    This error happens when one deploy is either interrupted or not deployed properly. But even after stopping the process by "dcmctl stop" or by the command "dcmctl resynInstance" i am not able to deploy any more applications. Kindly guide me

    You probably want to post this question over in the OC4J forum or in one of the 9iAS forums. ODBC is a Windows C++ & VB client API, so it doesn't have a lot to do with the Oracle application server or OC4J.

  • Error while deploying war file using JRUN JMC

    Hi,
    I am getting "Deployment service failed to deploy war file" Error
    while trying to deploy a war file using JRUN Mgmt console.
    If anyone has any idea about it, please help.
    Thanks
    Jit

    Check the logs. There might be a detailed exception in it. My guess is that it might have something to do with the deployment descriptors.
    If you could post the deployment descriptors and the exception stack trace, it would be easier to figure out.

  • Error while deploying war

    While deploying war application into oc4j instance i got this eroor:

    Resolution: Check the related Adapter evaluate logic and base exception in the log file.. org/apache/commons/logging/LogFactory
    What does it mean? Thanx

    And we are trying to deploy into the WebLogic(10.3.6) Server using Ant scripts(apache-ant-1.8.4) from command prompt.
    While doing this getting an bellow error :

    Could you please help me on this, if anyone know the solution.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramesh.

    Hi Ramesh,
    Try to include faces jars with in your classpath.
    It talk about the " java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlet"
    you check for this blog which help to say about this issue using JDev.

    Hi,
    Can you try to deploy app through WLST without using Admin console or you can use Deploy utility.
    % java weblogic.Deployer [options] [actions] [file(s)]
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs81/deployment/tools.html
    using WLST we can deploy through following way.
    Set WebLogic environment variables by running the setDomainEnv script.
    Connect to WLST offline mode using below command
    java weblogic.WLST
    Connect to the domain using below connect command (to go online)
    connect('weblogic','weblogic','t3://localhost:7001')
    Syntax" deploy ('<application name>','<source location>', targets='<target server or cluster>', stageMode='<stage, no stage or external stage>', versionIdentifier='<application version>'
    deploy('survey_web','D:/survey_web.war', targets='AdminServer', stageMode='nostage', versionIdentifier='10-2')
    After deploying the application you can use application name with version number "survey_web (10-2)" in active state in console.
    To deploy the same application with some updates, deploy the application as below in WLST.
    Syntax: deploy('<application name>','<source location>', archiveVersion='<current version of application>', appVersion='<new version of application>')
    deploy('survey_web','D:/survey_web.war', archiveVersion='10-2', appVersion='10-3')
    This will help you to deploy the App for now but this issue need to check with Support team I request to raise a Ticket with weblogic support.

    Hi,
    1] Remove following from server.xml
    <Context path="/SEA" docBase="SEA" debug="0"/>
    2] Paste SEA.WAR (test WAR file) into /webapps of TOMCAT
    3] Start Tomcat Server - This will create SEA folder under webapps
    4] Stop server.
    5] Add following to server.xml
    <Context path="/SEA" docBase="SEA" debug="0"/>
    6] Start Tomcat Server
    7] Access the URL.
    This will work. Somehow Tomcat does not extract war file contents which are mentioned in server.xml.
    I have Apache Tomcat 4.0.3 and faced this problem. The above solution works for it.

    I restarted TOMCAT and tried to execute the file:

    But I got error message:

    What was happenning?
    Anyone can help me?

    Hello,
    Without any Log information it is very hard to help you to diagnose what could be the origin of the issue.
    Could you post the last part of your log file(s)? (DCM, OC4J instance, ...)

    Hi,
    Thank you for your suggestion. your point about the folders could be right.
    Because for some reason, the folders org, org/apache, org/apache/grp under:
    /usr/local/tomcat/work/Catalina/localhost/FTPSchedulerWeb/
    were not getting created. And so we manually created them and attached them to the necessary group, to get proper file permissions.
    But my doubt still remains as to why those folders were not created. Well there is one point I want to ask here, in teh Tomcat server web.xml file, the following code is not present:
    <webapp>

    .
    .
    <servlet>
            <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name>
            <servlet-class>org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet</servlet-class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-mapping>
            <servlet-name>jsp</servlet-name>
            <url-pattern>*.jspx</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    ..
    .
    .
    </webapp>Could that be a possible reason as to why the server is unable to create those folders? Well, I do not know the actual reason. Please let me know what possibly could be the reason for this problem.
    Thanks a lot for your help!!

  • Error while deploying WAR to Oracle AS

    Hello,
    When I try to deploy a WAR file to Oracle AS 10.1.2.0.2, I am getting following error. What could be the reason. I have used Jdeveloper 10.1.2.
    Failed to deploy web application "LM". Failed to deploy web application "LM". . File /var/tmp/dir37221.tmp/LM.war is not a jar file.
    Resolution:
    Base Exception:
    java.util.zip.ZipException
    invalid END header (bad central directory offset). invalid END header (bad central directory offset)

    I'm also getting this problem. And at the moment it is really urgent.
    I'm trying to deploy a webapplication to our customers system, but it won't work. The war, ear, and jar files look correct.
    So I don't understand why this problem is occuring. So If anybody has an idea or solution to this, please reply quick!
    I also tried to delete all jar, war and ear files, so that the JDeveloper creates the files complete new, but nothing helped so far.
    This is the error I'm getting when I try do deploy by a war-File:
         Web-Anwendung "Lekkerland-SUSI" konnte nicht bereitgestellt werden. Failed to deploy web application "Lekkerland-SUSI". . File /tmp/dir29051.tmp/Lekkerland-SUSI.war is not a jar file.
    Resolution:
    "Base Exception:
    java.util.zip.ZipException
    invalid END header (bad central directory offset). invalid END header (bad central directory offset)"
    When I try to deploy by an ear-File I#m only getting a small message that the ear-File is invalid.
    I'm thankful for every tip!
