Error in Depreciation Psoting Run

Hi Gurus
I am getting the problem during Depreciation posting in asset accounting
In our Company code the fiscal year from Nov to Oct , so now the Fiscal year 2008 is over and fiscal year 2009 has started.
In asset fiscal year change , we have clsoed fiscal year 2007 using Tcode AJAB and done new fiscal year change 2009 using Tcode AJRW
The Company has one asset acquired in Sep 2008 ( Fiscal year 2008 ) for which depreciation is only planned but not posted
Now when we are trying to post depreciation using Tcode AFAB and giving parameters
1 . Fiscal Year 2008 and Posting period 11 or 12
2.  Fiscal Year 2009 and Posting period 1
In both cases we are getting error log as "You can only post in new year after closing the previous year"
Please check for this and suggest how to rectify the error
This is the high priority issue and needs to be resolved asap

Hi,
It looks like you have successfully carried out closing for Asset FY 2007. 
You have problem now in posting depreciation for FY 2008.  But you have already performed a Fiscal Year Change.
Think the following may work:
a) First Undo the Year End Closing through TCode OAAQ.
b) Then Run AFAB in an Unplanned Posting run with your last period for the FY 2008.  This will post Depreciation on the assets.
c) Then you can close the Fiscal Year and do a Fiscal Year Change.
