Why m i facing problem in downloading adobe reader X1 in my windows 7 home premium 32 bit ?
i m already running adobe reader X, wanted to upgrade to adobe reader X1

I am trying to download Adobe reader; however, i recieve this error message ERROR 1935. I have tried to change the server and i tried several links but i was not successful. I have windows 8 and I am using google chrome and internet explorer.

Unknown software error while downloading Adobe Reader XI

Adobe Reader XI stopped working. Just before it stopped, it started opening with greatly magnified text. Than it stopped working. I tried to uninstall and reload. I could not download from the Internet and got this error message "The exception unknown software (Ox40000015) occurred in the app at location )x013aaba" and "Adobe Acobet AcroRd.exe - app error". Can anyone help? Can't believe you have to pay $40 just to talk to a tech. Three was no problem taking my money to allow me to edit pdfs. They were ever so helpful then. Can anyone help me?

Windows ME compatibility was dropped after Adobe Reader 6, and the Adobe website doesn't supply versions prior to 9.
You can however download the installer for Adobe Reader 6.02 from the FTP archives:

Customer support for Adobe Reader 6 was stopped long ago, so it will not be updated to protect against security issues.

Cannot download Adobe Reader in Windows 7 on Dell computer

Whenever I try to download Adobe Reader, when I press "Finish" on installation, the Adobe logo takes over the whole computer and I cannot access any programme. The entire taskbar becomes a series of Adobe logos and all programmes are preceded by the logo.
I cannot access anything and am forced each time simply to uninstall it again, and go back to Foxit Reader, but I really would prefer Adobe. Adobe Flash Player works fine on the computer. Can anyone help please?

Unable to download Adobe Reader for Windows 7

I purchased a Dell Intel Core Dueo CPU, 64-bit with Windows 7 Home Premium computer about 9 months ago. I never was able to get the Adobe Reader to work so I started using Foxit. I would prefer to use Adobe, so recently I tried to update newer version (Adobe Reader X). It keeps giving me the error message (when I try to download it): "can't retrieve essential parameter (16291.301.749)"
When I tried to download an earlier version of Adobe (like Above 9.1), it downloads and appears to be there, but when I open it freezes up and never opens.

After downloading the installer from Claudio's link, restart Windows, then run the installer before doing anything else.
If the error persists, try using the MSI installer: http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi (English version 11.0.0).

Downloading Adobe Reader for Windows should be simple and it's not. I'm surprised and frustrated!

Can someone tell me which link on the download site I should use? All I want is the free reader for Windows 8.1.
Can't you do a better job on this?

tried printing as image -
disable protected mode at start up
using old adobe reader worked and also if I save files to usb or send them to hubbys pc it will print so its not the files or my printer that is the issue -

What Reader XI version are you using? If less than 11.0.10, update to that version & try again.

Thank you. I now have Reader 9.3.4 installed and running.
Your first suggestion of turning off the Add-Ons in IE8 finally worked after
I finally performed this in the right place: I found that the Manage Add-Ons
under Tools in IE* has only a partial list of the Add-Ons. However, under
Accessories> System Tools > 'Explorer (without Add-Ons)' has a more complete
list, which is what I finally used.
