i have ran the digitial prototype example in the following link:http://zone.ni.com/wv/app/doc/p/id/wv-1421 and everything goes fine until i click the run in the front panel window and then i get the following wrror in the error out box on the front panel: code:-70217

can anyone help on this?

I've tried to replicate the error you get, but without any success. The example works as intended for me. Did you download the zip file and run it without any modifications? Could you turn on Highlight Execution and tell me exactly where the error occurs please?
Also, what Operating System are you running? And which version of LabVIEW and SolidWorks do you have installed?

How to build a working executable of the DataSocket writer example VI

I'm trying to build an executable of the "DS Writer.vi" example. The first problem was that the "DataSocket Server Control.vi" was not distributed with my build/install script. I fixed that (thanks Dennis) but now I get the following error message.
LabVIEW: (Hex 0x626) Cannot open a VI with separated compiled code in a Run Time Engine that has no access to the VIObjCache.
There is a solution to that (http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Getting-LabVIEW-load-error-code-59-using-LabVIEW-2010-with-a-Run/td-...), but it involves changing a property of a VI in the DataSocket library (if I understand that correctly). I'm reluctant to make a change to a standard NI library as it could cause maintenance problems in the future (other developers not having the same change, or updating LabVIEW versions).
Has anyone successfully built an executable using DataSocket? If so, can you offer any advice? I'm using LabVIEW 2011.

Thanks Nathan. I was able to build and deploy an executable with DataSocket. The last hurdle was to "Uncheck the 'Separate compiled code from source file' option in VI Properties" for the "DataSocket Server Control.vi". The only problem with that solution is that I now have a customized DataSocket library. I think one solution might be to copy that VI or the library into my project folder so that the solution is transferrable to others in the future. I would like to hear how other LabVIEW developers deal with customized libraries, either by strictly avoiding that, maintaining their own copies, or some other solution. But that is probably a topic for a new thread.

Iam trying to extract the data from r/3 using generic extractor the data is loaded into PSA sucessfully, but iam getting following errors while executing DTP.
1.An error occurred while executing a transformation rule:
The exact error message is:
The argument 'EA' cannot be interpreted as a number
The error was triggered at the following point in the program

2.The data record was filtered out because data records with the same key
have already been filtered out in the current step for other reasons and
the current update is non-commutative (for example, MOVE). This means
that data records cannot be exchanged on the basis of the semantic key.
Please guide me accordingly.

While mapping the Qty Fields it is must to add UOM to the Qty Fields and map it with relevant Info Objects.
The Semantic Keys defined at DTP are also has some issues, try to give a dummy key figure if you are using DSO in the data flow as the DSO has the Overwrite mode.
(Choose Semantic Groups to specify how you want to build the data packages that are read from the source (DataSource or InfoProvider). To do this, define key fields. Data records that have the same key are combined in a single data package. This setting is only relevant for DataStore objects with data fields that are overwritten. This setting also defines the key fields for the error stack. By defining the key for the error stack, you ensure that the data can be updated in the target in the correct order once the incorrect data records have been corrected.)

ulimit -n (this command will show you the current value for ulimit the default value is 1024)
to increase its value:---
ulimit -n <some value> ( this command will change value for current session only)
example
ulimit -n 101062
once done check the value as:--
ulimit -n( for verification)

Error when executing add-on in client's computer

Dear All experts/gurus,
I need your help. I have problem when executing/open an add-on (installed in server and can be executed using server computer without creating ard file) I've created in my client's computers. although it is automatically installed but when execute, the error comes which message is "wrong digital signature". I create ard file for every clients that want to execute/use add-on and succeed. It is okay that I can create ard file for 1-3 computers but if it 10-20 computers, it is wasting time. how to solve this problem, where all computers in clients site can execute the add-on without must create ard file in every computers ?

Take a look at the "Package and Deployment" section in the SDK help file. This will guide you through how to install / launch your add-ons.
If you are using the standard SAP method documented there, you only need 1 ard file per release version of your add-on. You do not need to have a separate ard file on every client pc. The ard file includes in it a checksum (MD5) of your add-on executable. The ard file itself is only used during the "registration" process for an add-on. During registration, the checksum containined in the ard file and your add-on installer itself are both written to the Common database.
The error message "wrong digital signature" when the SAP add-on manager attempts to execute an add-on indicates that the executable version installed on that client does not match the one that was registered earlier. Most common causes are:-
a) You have manually copied a different executable onto the client pc
b) When creating the ard file, you selected a different add-on executable from the one you included in your installer.
When creating the ard file using the AddonRegDataGen program, make sure that you point the "Add-on EXE full path" to the version of the add-on executable that you are including in your installer. You will have to create a new ard file if you change the executable in the future, for example if you release a new version of your add-on.

Lorsque je terminais ma semaine hier, j'ai voulu réaliser un dernier test sur un Touch Panel, mais lorsque j'ai voulu construire l'executable sous Labview 2009, celui ci m'a affiché cette erreur :

Quelqu'un saurait d'où vient cette erreur et comment la corriger? Elle est apparue comme ça sans réels changements du code, ce qui d'autant plus étrange!!

J'ai ce type d'erreur de temps en temps, pour moi dans 50% des cas, il suffit de quitter LabVIEW, de ré-ouvrir le projet, relancer le build et ça marche.
Sinon il faut que tu donnes plus de détails...

Please try converting the standadrd-delivered scenario RPT0, then check
out the things.
Also problem may be that your function code names contain
the character '&'. This causes a problem when the selected function
code is passed to the ITS-WebGUI as a URL parameter. Please use only
standard characters (A..Z and _) when you define a function code.
Then it should work.

When I was using LabSQL,it come an error:
Subvi "SQL execute":subvi isnot executable. and then I searched the source of the error,it was finally found to be the
"ADO Recordset GetString.vi":

"invoke node:invalid refnum class".
What I used is Windows 7 and LabVIEW7.1.

I can get the sql where the procedure through the error, and execute the sql in sqlplus, no error. Does anyone have experience with the error? or have some direction to solve problem? thank you!

Getting Cost Center Does not exist error when executing BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING

I am getting Cost Center Does not exist error when executing BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_CHECK.
But when I checked for the particular Cost center, it is mapped to the same company code the program has got executed.
Example:
Cost center 1000/150402 does not exist on 17.11.2009.

Since my last changes at the bpel process, i am getting the following serious error, even after restarting and fresh deploying.

Just another reminder, apart from configuring the incoming (say POP3) server correctly, in order for a receive "onMessage" operation work in a POP3 email partner, a "subscribe" operation must be performed on the same partner link first.

Error while caling Labview DLL from VB2005

Dear all expert,
i'm a student and very new in Labview. Currently, i design a application using Labview8.2 and need convert it to dll. So that i can call it fom my VB2005.
I'm encounter an error, there is my computer "hang" when calling the labview dll. I suspect this may due unproper way i calling the labview dll in my VB program. So, really hope some one can give me any suggestion and modification to my program. I attach my vi and Vb program.

Hi cckoh,
A couple suggestions include:
1) Make sure you are using the correct .NET data types that map to the data type that LabVIEW uses. For example, your Operation paramter for your DLL is an unsigned short which is equivalent to a System.UInt16 in .NET.
2) You should be using ByRef instead of ByVal for your output parameters. For example, in your function prototye, you have double *Output. For example, when you import your unamanged DLL, the prototype you should use woudl be:
Declare Auto Function Bodeplot Lib "........."(ByVal Operation as System.UInt16, ........ ByRef Output as Double)
I tested this out and it loads the DLL, calls the function, and returns without problems.

Configuring executable labview programs originally configured with a PCI-MIO-16XE-10 on a system with a PCI-MIO-16XE-50 card

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have executable labview programs created in another lab which used a PCI-MIO-16XE-10 card. I need to install these programs in a new lab which has a PCI-MIO-16XE-50 card installed. When downloading the executable files, Measurement and Automation Explorer gave a message that the physical devices could not be located. I presume this is because the executables are configured for the PCI-MIO-16XE-10 but the PCI-MIO-16XE-50 is installed instead. Any suggestions on how to get these programs configured with the PCI-MIO-16XE-50 would be greatly appreciated? Thanks.

As long as you have the device identifier of the PCI-MIO-16XE-50 set the same as the PCI-MIO-16XE-10 for which the program was written, you shouldn't have a problem doing what you describe.
One thing that confused me about your posting, however, is the statement When downloading the executable files, Measurement and Automation Explorer gave a message that the physical devices could not be located. This doesn't make sense to me. You're getting an error from MAX when downloading your program? MAX shouldn't be involved at all here, and especially not when just downloading your program. If you can provide more details about exactly what you are doing (maybe post some screenshots) then I'm sure we can help you get your program working.
