Error in Explorer

When I open THIS PC and click on any disk, folder or file icon I receieve a error box. Saying
This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action .Please install a program or,if one is already installed ,create an association in Default Programs control panel.

Hi,
Please open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs.
Then Choose Set program access and computer defaults -> Choose
Microsoft Windows then Hit "Ok".
If it didn't work, please test this issue in new user account.

Scheduling error in Explorer

I am trying to schedule the indexing of a report in explorer and I am getting the below error. I am using an administrator user id for this.
Failed to update information space
Internal error

Installing flash player(error internet explorer)

When I try to install flash player is gives me an error message that I need to get
out of internet explorer. what does that mean?

It means that you need to close all Internet Explorer windows.
If you still get that message after closing IE, check with the Task Manager (Processes tab) if iexplore.exe is still running in the background.
P.S. you must also close any Messenger applications that are running.

Index Generation Error in Explorer

Hi Expert,
I am using BO4.0 and had created a Universe(.unx), upon universe i had created Webi Report which is working fine but if i use the same universe in Explorer, its showing Error in the Index Generation.
Also same sql stmt which is working fine with webi, showing error when i try to execute it in Data Federation Administration Tool Saying -
An error occured when executing the query on the data federation query engine. (DFA 50003) [Data Federator Driver] [Server] Invalid table or view identifier 'Sales_DataI'
If you have an Idea Please share it with ur knowledge.

Nested Region Error in Explorer 7 but not Firefox

Hmm, Came back to the issue fresh today. Rearranged other
code a bit on the page and voilà, no more IE error. They both
work correctly now. It would be nice to know which change actually
made the difference I know. I may go back to play with it more
later, but for right now, I'm just going with a "divine providence"
and be really happy that it works. :)

Getting an error when I try to upgrade Internet Explorer 9 on laptop HP Pavilion dv6 running Windows 7 64 bit SP1. Error message: there is a later version on computer???? Also having crashing issues when trying to run MMC snap-in

I just started having the same problem.
I was creating a new VM in Vsphere from our 2008 R2 SP1 image and it hasn't been updated and repacked in a while, so i have to install about 60 updates, including IE9.
I went through my normal setup as i had just created 2 VMs and updated them on Monday with no problem.
I got the same error code as you. The install looks like it installed IE9, but the update is still showing up as available in Windows Update.
I deleted the VM, created a new one, chose all updates except IE, then did that and it still shows up again.
Then i deleted the VM, installed just IE 9 and it still shows up as available on reboot.
I have a script that i can use to reset/clear WSUS cache on the computer, (Software distribution folder, and the windows update log, and recreates a certificate), so i tried that and then rebooted and it still showed up.
I then decide ok, maybe the Image got messed up somehow, so i started creating a new 2008 R2 install from scratch last night and chose to update just IE9 as the first install. I did that, rebooted and it didn't show up in Windows Updates, so i though GREAT.
I proceed to kick off the 100+ downloads needed before i left and left the console up.
When i got in to work this morning, the updater seemed stuck on 31 of 102 updates, this one in particular: KB288516. I rebooted the computer, because it wouldn't stop and just seemed stuck since last night, which these updates should only have taken about
an hour to install at most. I log back in and sure enough, it now shows Internet Explorer 9 at the bottom of the update list as being needed for install.
I believe this is Patch Tuesday week, so maybe they screwed up something with the Windows Update detection engine, because it worked fine on Monday when i had to update IE9 on 2 VMs that i created.

APPLET.class not found error on explorer!! need solution URGENTLY!!!

Hi,
I am calling my applet from a jsp and trying to run it on the internet explorer but I am getting the following error:
load: class /WEB-INF/classes/Log/LogApplet.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: .WEB-INF.classes.Log.LogApplet.class
My Explorer version is 6.0 and I am using Plug-in: Version 1.4.1_05. Why do you think it cannot find the class? it is located under the specified directory which is:
/Web Content/WEB-INF/classes/Log/LogApplet.class
and my jsp which is calling my applet is located under:
Web Content/Login.jsp
this is a very urgent problem!! could you please help me? I will appreciate your help so much.

I'm having the same problem...however my applet is located outside of the web-inf folder. the web-inf folder is only for servlets. applets can't be recognised inside it since that folder is for server-side application while applets are meant for client-side.
i put my applet into a separate folder in the root directory of the webapp but it's generating a security error when i call it using a jsp page. so far the only way i got around it was specifying the entire codebase using localhost...but it's not a pretty good way of doing it.
any ideas anyone?

Rollovers causing errors in explorer

I have a HTML document that I'm running off of a disc that
whenever I load it or preview it out of dreamweaver I get a message
at the top of the screen that says "Internet Explorer has
restricted this web page from running scripts or Active X controls"
After I allow the script everthing works fine but my end
users may not know what to do to make it work. Is there a way to
automatically allow the script without user interaction? This error
did not come up until I started using rollovers.

I have installed R12 on my laptop having windows 2003 Server, which running successfully.
In Same machine i have installed Jdeveloper for OAF customization by following 416708.1.
While running test OAF page from Jdev, following error accruing. I have Run autoconfig as well.

Error in Explorer "is_ie55up has no value"

I was changing css and backgrounds and login pictures, when noticed that login screen in Explorer can't open correctly. The same works in Mozilla Firefox. Explorer can't display page correctly, so it give a message about "is_ie55up has no value". Looking in the html-code of that page I saw:

I was surprised with the links src=Missing_common.js and src=Missing_browserDOM.js because there should be browserdom.js and common.js.
Please, give me a prompt how this login html composes (and pointed section)? Could it be the incorrect saw.dll behaviour or some *.xml *.js files have incorrect instructions? Any idea? T__T

That is something that SVN inserts into a file when it tries to merge its version of a file.
Simplest thing to resolve this which i tried doing was ...
remove any characters "<<<<<<< .mine" or similar from the file that you will see in your project object folder namely
<Projectname>.csproj.FileListAbsolute.txt
which contains a list of all the paths and recompile ...it worked for me

Sir, i face the subject problem when during installing hp color LJ 5550 printer with Windows 7 64 bit, I tried too many times but didn't installed and also didn't found any help from intenet.
I have the printer driver CD it did not work, i also tried to download the required driver from HP site but failed to install the required driver.
After all i have decided to take help from my brother installing the driver for windows 7 64 bit & hope so that i will get the solution.

I include the "Automotive Diagnostic Command Set 1.0.2", "Labview Run-Time Engine 2010" and "NI-CAN 2.6.1" in the install file.
If I install theese seperately and install my .exe file the application runs without errors so I suspect that the problem is in the installer.
I have tried to install the application using the installer on five different machines, one of them compleatly "fresh", but the problem is the same.
Included is a documents with screen shots of my settings.

Internet Explorer, Firefox , Opera and Google Chrome are Browsers. Yahoo and Google, unless you are referring to Google Chrome are not browsers. The browser is what you need to change. there are three images below of three different browsers. You are probably using Internet Explorer. Switch to another browser for a test print.

Do you understand the term browser as an interface? It is a graphical user interface through which you connect to MSN and Yahoo to browse the internet.

this means either the reports server is already running or some issue with the reports server configuration.
Are you able to start a new reports server?
Check this link and try using list of reports server fmx to see all the reports servers in your network.
