Duplicate cross-post:
Cannot extract .war file in linux
Do not do that.
It is poor forum etiquette.
Where would you want the responses? Perhaps every other word into both posts, half the word here and the other half words over there?
When you multi-post. you cause people to spend their time duplicating what others have already done.

    Hey corrafromlondon,
    Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like the installer file isn't working. Have you tried deleting the installer and redownloading the installer? I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you isolate or resolve the issue.

    Requesting you to please go to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us. When you click on download button (after selecting your OS details), it should open a new browser window (which will launch the Akamai installer automatically). Please cancel any installation or error shown.
    The newly opened browser page will look something like this:
    As highlighted, please click on these links (one by one) and see if it downloads the required files. The downloaded files will be compressed with 7z format. If you have some extracting tool (like WinZip) try extracting it. If you don't have it, download 7z. Its a free utility from Microsoft. Once downloaded and installed, you will be able to extract file and locate the PSE setup.
    Please let me know if you face any issues.

    Hello!
    I have a

    SMC-Version (System):1.47f2
    Hardware-UUID:A2DD27C4-9829-5A4D-854B-485EF8A6B20F
    Problem:
    I upgraded Leopard to Snow Leopard. Everything worked fine for a month. To free up disk space I deleted some of the iPhoto flders (modfied and original images). Everything worked still fine. Shut down the computer. Next day it was incredibly slow. At the same time the indexing was running. I stopped indexing, but stll slow. Every operation took minutes. I tried all the tricks that I found in the internet (repaired file permissions, repaired disk, cleared PRAM , moved big filed from desktop, etc.). After 24 full hours of trying all this I decided to erase the hard drive and reinstall, directly from the Snow Leopard Install disk, but it fails after downloading the packages. Below is the part of the log. Then I tried to use the old Leopard install DVD to reinstall Leopard, it then sais estimated time 12 hours or so and eventually crashed, spitting out a lot of "reportcrash" in the log. What is going on? I'm running out of options. Any advice? Would zeroing the hard drive help? If nothing else I plan to buy a new hard drive, since the only explanation I have is that there is a problem with the hard driven although the disk utility says it is OK. I need a bigger one anyway. Any ideas? Thank you!

    It sounds to me like your Internal Hard Drive is failing.
    I recommend you buy a new one, that is a good candidate for replacing the old one, but install it in an External enclosure and Install a fresh Mac OS X on it from the DVD. You can boot your Mac from any attached drive.
    The new System can be used to get some work done, check your emails, and takes the pressure off resolving this immediately. You can also attempt to salvage files off the old drive if needed.
    Once things seem to be working, then move the new drive inside the computer. Failures at this point may be due to bad cable, which has been a problem in some of these MacBooks.
    Use security erase, write Zeroes, one pass, to re-write every block on the old drive. Any block discovered to be bad will be replaced with spares the drive holds in reserve for this purpose. If more than 10 blocks are pared on one pass, "Initialization Failed!" will be the result. Although you can try the erase again, there is some question whether you want to trust this drive with your precious data.

    java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\eclipse\.eclipseproduct (The system cannot find the path specified)
    I need some quick response on it.

    Nothing to do with the resource path....thats fine. Use the code below.....most likely this will fix it.......
    Added a check for directories that start with a ".".  The File utility probably thinks its a file, also added a try....check it does make the "." directories.........dont forget the dukes.
        ZipInputStream zis = null;
        FileOutputStream fos = null;
        try
          zis = new ZipInputStream( new FileInputStream( "C:\\your_path\\your_zipfile_or_jar.zip" ) );
          ZipEntry ze = null;
          File ff = null;
          while ( ( ze = zis.getNextEntry() ) != null )
            System.out.println( "name=" + ze.getName() );
            ff = new File( "C:\\your_path\\" + ze.getName() );
            if ( ze.isDirectory()  || ze.getName().startsWith("."))
              try{ System.out.println( "making " + ze.getName() + " dir (" + ff.mkdirs() + ")" ); }catch(Exception e2){}
            else
              fos = new FileOutputStream( ff );
              byte[] buf = new byte[1024];
              int len;
              while ( ( len = zis.read( buf ) ) > 0 )
                fos.write( buf, 0, len );
              fos.close();
              System.out.println( "wrote file " + ff.getPath() + " success=" + ff.exists() );
          zis.close();
        catch( Exception ex )
          ex.printStackTrace();
        finally
          try { zis.close(); }catch(Exception ex){}
          try { fos.close(); }catch(Exception ex){}

  • Error 101- Installer won't extract files, manual 7z unzip fails, plenty of hard drive space

    PC, Windows 7 64-bit. Dual hard drive setup, primary dirve has 7 free GB. Downloading trial to second hard drive, has 466GB of free space. Download taking 24 hours each try.
    First try: Error 101- Could not extract files, check for sufficent disk space and reset download. Cleared off 6 more gigs of space on my primary drive incase that was causing the error. Restarted download.
    Try #2: Same error. I dug around and found the full download .7z file. Tried everything to unzip, but every 7zip program I tried gave me an error, said it wasn't an "archive' file.
    Restarted Adobe download assistant, got a pop up that said roughly "do you want to retry the current download, click yes to retry, click no to start over" I clicked Yes. It started over. I slammed head on table.
    Now have 20 hours remaining on my third attempt at downloading. Maybe we can get this fixed before the error message shows up again?

    Whenever you delete caches it's a good idea to restart the computer so they can be properly rebuilt. So start by doing this:
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

    Tried to install Firefox but an error message "Extraction failed - cannot open output file" always pops up, without a reason. Why's this happening?

    Try to disable your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes it work.
    You may need to delete the temp folder (%TEMP%) to remove the old files.
