  • Error in FDM web login

    Hi,
    I installed FDM n configured too. But i m nt able to login to FDM thru Web client. getting error as "The page cannot be displayed.". was getting error as " IIS Admin Service or a service dependent on IIS Admin is not active. It most li
    kely failed to start, which may mean that it's disabled." during iisreset from cmd. I re-installed the IIS. Now i am nt able to c HyperionFDM App Pool inside of IIS. PLease suggest how to proceed.

    In regards to your original problem, it sounds like your IIS got goofed up, perhaps Web Service Extensions were disabled somehow? To check this :
    Verify Web Service Extensions
    #1 - Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the server in question
    #2 - click on Web Service Extensions folder in left pane.
    #3 - Verify that ASP.NET v1.1.4322 is set to Allowed.
    #3a - If it is marked as Prohibit, enable it by click on it, then clicking on the Allow button.
    #3b - If the framework is not present, reinstall the .NET Framework.
    Once you reinstalled IIS, it would have cleared any settings that were there previous, including installed web sites / application pools. Your best best would probably be to reinstall FDM web component to ensure that everything is setup properly.
    Another possibility in regards to the original issue is that the app mappings got messed somehow. These control which program handles pages on the server. (i.e. ASPX is a .NET page and .ASP is active server pages classic)
    Verify Application Mappings
    #1 - Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the server in question
    #2 - Locate FDM Website (most likely under Websites / Default Web Site), right click, and select properties.
    #3 - On the Virtual Directory tab, click on Configuration
    #4 - On the Mappings screen confirm that there are Application extensions for ASPX, etc.
    In regards to getting you setup now that you have reinstalled IIS .......
    Setup App Pool
    #1 - Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the server in question
    #2 - Expand the application folder and verify you don't see your FDM App Pool.
    #3 - Right click on the Application Pools folder, then New, then Application Pool
    #4 - Provide it with the name you would like and use the default settings for new application pool option.
    #5 - If you had any specific changes configure the application pool by right clicking on it and selecting properties
    - In our environment we had a couple of changes we made such as : Max used memory was increased and we swapped out the application pool identity user account to our "hypadmin" account.
    - I recommend referring to the installation instructions for your specific version of FDM in case it recommends any other changes.
    #6 - After you have the pool configure how you want it, right click on the pool, all tasks, and Save Configuration. This allows you to save all of the configuration pool information to a file. In the event it disappears again (???), you can recreate it using the config file.
    Configure Web Site
    #1 - After the pool is created and configured, locate the FDM website which is probably listed under Default Website in the Websites folder. Right click and select properties.
    #2 - On the virtual directories tab, click the Application Pool drop down and select the Pool you just created.
    I suspect there is more to your problem because even if the App pool was gone from IIS, the site should still be there. If the default folder for your Hyperion FDM web files looks like a folder and NOT a cog w/ a globe, then it is not setup .....
    Create Virtual Directory
    #1 - Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager on the server in question
    #2 - Expand the Web Sites folder
    #3 - right click on Default Web Site and select 'New', Virtual Directory
    #4 - Follow the Wizard and supply the following information :
    a. Alias - This is the name of the website Alias which will be used in the URL. (i.e. FDMWeb would become http://webserver/FDMWeb)
    b. Path - The root folder where the web documents are stored.
    c. Permissions - check Read
    #5 - Configure the app pool as explained above.

  • Error message while installing "FDM Web Application" on windows 64-bit

    I am unable to install "FDM Web Application" on a 64-bit windows platform. I have an error message indicating that 64-bit components for HFM & EPMA cannot co-exist with 32-bit components for HSF/FDM. Is there a way to install it? From the packages I downloaded, I have installed EPMA 64-bit. So I presume I'll have to uninstall EPMA 64-bit and re-install EPMA 32-bit?
    OS: Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise x64 Edition SP2
    Oracle WebLogic 9.2 MP3 32-bit
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Andy

    Hi,
    What version are you trying to install, as the latest release 11.1.1.3 should now support it.
    In the 11.1.1.3 Readme - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/readme/epm_1111300_readme.html
    FDM now provides support for 32-bit binaries in a 64-bit environment. (though that was from version 11.1.1.1)
    Though saying that FDM can only run in IIS32bit mode, if you have installed EPMA 64bit it will have set IIS to 64 bit, so uninstall 64bit and use 32bit.
    FDM supports 64-bit servers running in 32-bit emulation mode only. Because IIS cannot run under 32-bit and 64-bit mode simultaneously on the same server, Financial Management and FDM Web components cannot be deployed on the same 64-bit server. All other components can be deployed together.
    Cheers

  • Error when refreshing WEBI report with Universe Connection Type "SSO"

    Hi Experts:
    We are trying to refresh the Webi report in Infoview with Universe Connection set as "Use Single Sign On when refreshing the report at view time", so that we can leverage SAP OLAP authorization variable from Bex Query which the Universe is built on.
    However got the error of "incomplete logon data" after all the configurations done following below blogs:
    SNC Part 1
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2009/07/03/businessobjects-enterprise-and-client-side-snc-part-1-of-2
    SNC Part 2
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2009/07/03/businessobjects-enterprise-and-client-side-snc-part-2-of-2
    We already have Win AD SSO to SAP setup, and in BO CMC, Win AD user is mapped to SAP user ID.
    The SNC settings are:
    - AD Account: service.test.bobj (all lower-letters)
    - 32-bit gsslib on the BO server, and 64 bit on the BW server side.
    - SNC0: p:service.test.bobj at DOMAIN
    - SU01 --> BO_Service ; SNC: p:service.test.bobj at DOMAIN
    - Entitlement system tab --> username: BO_Service
    SNC Name: p:service.test.bobj at DOMAIN
    - SNC settings tab:
    SNC Lib: c:\winnt\gsskrb5.dll
    Mutual Authentication settings: p:SAPServiceBP0 at DOMAIN
    In CMC, the role can be imported if "RFC activated" option unchecked in SNC0.
    I found a few threads on the same topic, but they are all not answered:
    SNC Client side configuration error
    SNC Configuration Error: Incomplete logon Data
    Can you please provide details of the solution if you have impleted a same scenario successsfully, or any thoughts to help the investigation?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jonathan

    Hi Ingo,
    Sorry for taking so long to reply, we are trying to set up server side trust and enable SSO; but we still couldn't success.
    What we did is:
    1. We followed installation guide chapter 6, generate certificate and PSE, etc. All looks good.
    2. Then we still have the "incomplete logon data" error when refreshing webi report after logon using Windows AD user ID.
    3. Then we trace the PFC connection, the log is as below. We checked several BO notes, e.g. 1500150, 1461247.. The part bothers us is that we even don't have URI displayed in the log when system trying to use SNC, and we couldn't get more info on this which make us very difficult to diagnosis.
    Can you please help? Thanks a lot!

    Hi All,
    When i try to test CRM_UI_FRAME in CRM 7.0,Even though i have maintained server properties in host file,Page can not be displayed error as mentioned below.
    This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
    Internet connectivity has been lost.
    The website is temporarily unavailable.
    The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
    The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
    If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
    Due to security reasons,i can not change the computer name to SAP server host name.

  • Nothing listed under Analysis | Reports in FDM Web Client

    When navigating to Analysis | Reports in the FDM web client, we do not have anything listed on the page. We just have a blank white panel, with an "English Groups" (unpopulated) and a format drop-down list, and a "Publish" button. We have run numerous loads using both the FDM web client as well as batch processes using upsShell.exe and FDM Workbench, so there should be plenty of information available here.
    It appears that this is not working properly. Could this be due to the ordering of system environment variables again? (We do not see any errors incidentally)

    Browse to Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\Products\FinancialDataQuality\SharedComponents. In this folder you should fine the Reports.zip file. Extract this to extract two XML files that are the reports. One is for Oracle and one is for SQL Server. Import the XML via the workbench (File > Import) for the corresponding relational database type that the FDM application is on.

  • How can I display XSLT transformer errors on a web page ?

    Hi,
    I have some JSP pages that access DB, create an XML based on DB data and then transform it into HTML through an XSLT stylesheet. Developing the XSL code it's easy to make mistakes and generate errors on trasformation, but what I receive on the web page is only a "Could not compile stylesheet" TransformerConfigurationException, while the real cause of the error is displayed only on tomcat logs. This is the code for transformation:
    static public void applyXSLT(Document docXML, InputStream isXSL, PrintWriter pw) throws TransformerException, Exception {
            // instantiate the TransformerFactory.
            TransformerFactory tFactory = TransformerFactory.newInstance();
            // creates an error listener
            XslErrorListener xel = new XslErrorListener();
            // sets the error listener for the factory
            tFactory.setErrorListener(xel);
            // generate the transformer
            Transformer transformer = tFactory.newTransformer(new SAXSource(new InputSource(isXSL)));
            // transforms the XML Source and sends the output to the HTTP response
            transformer.transform(new DOMSource(docXML), new StreamResult(pw));
    }If an exception is thrown during the execution of this code, its error message is displayed on the web page.
    This is the listener class:
    public class XslErrorListener implements ErrorListener {
        public XslErrorListener() {
        public void warning(TransformerException ex) {
            // logs on error log
            System.err.println("\n\nWarning on XEL: " + ex.getMessage());
        public void error(TransformerException ex) throws TransformerException {
            // logs on error log
            System.err.println("\n\nError on XEL: " + ex.getMessage());
            // and throws it
            throw ex;
        public void fatalError(TransformerException ex) throws TransformerException {
            // logs on error log
            System.err.println("\n\nFatal Error on XEL: " + ex.getMessage());
            // and throws it
            throw ex;
    }When I have an error in the XSL stylesheet (for examples a missing closing tag), I can find on tomcat logs the real cause of the error:
    [Fatal Error] :59:10: The element type "table" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</table>".
    Error on XEL: The element type "table" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</table>".but on my web page is reported just the TransformerConfigurationException message that is:
    "Could not compile stylesheet".
    How can I display the real cause of the error directly on the web page?
    Thanks,
    Andrea

    This code is part of a bigger project that let developers edit XSL stylesheets through a file upload on the system and we can't impose the use of any tool for checking the xsl. So, I need to display the transformer error on the web page.I see. This code is part of an editorial/developmental tool for developers to create and edit XSL stylesheets.
    As part of the editorial process, XSL errors during editing can be considered a normal condition. In other words, it is normal to expect that the developers will generate XSL errors as they are developing stylesheets.
    In this light, handling the XSL transformation errors is a business requirement that you need to handle. Using the Java Exceptions mechanisms, e.g. try / catch are inappropriate to handle business requirements, in my opinion.
    I suggest that you look at how you handle the occurence of XSL errors differently than what you currently have. You need to:
    (1) capture the Transformation exception on the server;
    (2) extract the message from the exception and put it into a message that can be easily understood by the user;
    The current error message that you have going to the web browser is not useful.
    And you should not have the Transformation exception sent to the web browser either.
    What you are attempting to do with the exception is not appropriate.
    Handle the Transformation exception on the Business tier and use it to create a useful message that is then sent to the Presentation tier. In other words, do not send Java exceptions to web browser.

  • Strange Error while opening Web UI in a new browser window

    Dear Experts
    My requirement is to launch one of my custom Web UI screens in a new window upon clicking a button.
    I am successfull in lauching it in new window.
    How did I do it:
    Step 1) Created a custom object type (ZOBJ) for my z component in SPRO->UI Framework Definition->Define UI Object Types.
    Step 2) Created a logical link (ZLL) for my Z component in SPRO->UI Framework->Technical Role Definition->Define Navigation Bar Profile.
    After that, In the same path, select Define Profile->Define Generic OP mapping->(Here Assign Object type ZOBJ(step 1) and Logical link ZLL(step 2) )
    Then created a dynamic URL and passed this URL to the "on_client_click" parameter of my button.
    Sample code is below.
    I put the below in the .htm of the view where my button was declared.
    data: lv_url_string TYPE string.
    lv_url_string = 'http://server name:port number/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm?sap-syscmd=nocookie&
    crm-object-type=ZOBJ&crm-object-action=B'.
    Note: Here ZOBJ is my custom object type that I created for my Z component.
    <thtmlb:button id            = "NW"
                         onClientClick = "javascript:window.open('<%= lv_url_string %>');"
                         tooltip       = "New Window"
                         text          = "New Window" />
    Problem I am facing:
    The above code is successfully opening my custom screen in a new window.
    But on the toolbar (where we usually see error messages in Web UI),
    I am getting an error message with the below description.
    Type= SYSTEM_ERROR, ID= ERROR_SESSION_INIT, description= 16AA9A3937A9BB56E10000000A11447B
    I am not able to understand what this error is.  The message is appearing only for the first time I am displaying my Z component in a new screen. Interestingly, when I do some action on my screen (expand the assignment block for example), this message is gone.  This message doesn't seem to be effecting any functionality, but the users certainly don't want to see an error messsage like this.
    I did some research on this and this error looks to be coming from the class CX_WS_MESSAGE_SYSTEM.
    This class has an attribute (CX_ROOT) with initial value "16AA9A3937A9BB56E10000000A11447B" (same one I am getting in my error message). I am not sure though because this attribute (CX_ROOT) is present in several other classes also.
    I would really appreciate if somebody can throw some light on this issue.
    Thanks
    Raj

    Hi Arun
    Thanks for your reply.
    I tried the way you suggested. But unfortunately I am still getting the same old error.
    Forget to mention something...actually I am seeing this error in the new session (window) only. My original window is not showing any error.
    And also just FYI...This is inside the Interaction Center Web UI profile ->Account Identification -> Identify Account->Enter Account ID->Click on Confirm button.
    At this point, I am first showing a popup window with text "Do you want to open Partner details in new window".
    This popup has 2 buttons 'Yes' and 'No'.. If the user clicks on 'Yes', then I am opening my custom screen (Partner Details) in a new window.
    This is the point I am seeing the error  (only in the new window).
    Type= SYSTEM_ERROR, ID= ERROR_SESSION_INIT, description= 16AA9A3937A9BB56E10000000A11447B
    This custom screen contains several (only) assignment blocks (all lazy initially). When the user expands on any assigment block, the error is gone and everything looks good.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks and Regards
    Raj

  • Error while creating webi on BEx query

    Hello,
    I will appreciate your help on this matter.
    I created a BICS connection and published it in the repository successfully. I then logged on to BI launch pad and tried to create webi report on top of BEx query but getting a following error.
    I am not sure what that error is all about , may be something to do with Java. I would appreciate if you advise your help on this.
    Regards.

  • Error when inserting Web Dynpro script in Adobe form

    Hi
    In my WD component in one of the view I have an ADOBE form (Online scenario) and a button to save data into backend. In the ADOBE form everything is working properly, however the problem is when I click on the button to save, Its not getting into my action code. Even I am not getting any error other than the wait symbol.
    In the form I have taken ZCI layout but when i'm inserting Webdynpro Script its showing an error 'Error when inserting Web Dynpro script'.
    Please let me know why this error is getting.
    Thanks

  • Error while creating web dynpro project from DTR

    Hello,
    I am getting following error while creating Web Dynpro project from DTR,
    org.eclipse.jdt.core.JavaModelException: File /<track name><DC><package>/.classpath is read-only.
    Still project gets created but evenif I check out view , it does not allow me to edit it.
    Also I have checked in and activated some changes but active copy in DTR is not reflecting those changes.
    I tried Add subtree option in DTR perspective for folders in this project. Is it result of that?
    Please help me in this regard.
    Thank You
    Beena

    Hi Beena,
            .classpath file should not checked in to DTR(uncheck the Read only properties). It is local file it contains class path for local system.
             Generally in webdynpro project only src folder should be checked in DTR.
    Regards
    Suresh
