Error in form 3.0(plz reply soon)

i m logging in to form designer thru login named hrdliv then i m going to directory named payliv .i.e
hrdliv/payliv
From payliv i m entering into form designer by entering ' f '.
My form's .inp file lies in payliv directory.An payliv is owner of table named bankacc which is used in form.
Form was working fine.Just that before few days i have changed table structure of bankacc(i changed datatype of one field and added an extra column also) .Accordingly i have made changes in form also.
Will changing the structure of the table affect the working??
My form's .err file contains the following message:
PL/SQL error 356 at line 18, column 6:
'BANKACC' must name a table to which the user has access
SQL Statement ignored
FRM-30133: Compile Error on trigger KEY-NXTFLD.
Please guide

I still have forms3 on one of my machine. First of all I'm sure that you made mistake in your plsql procedure or you drop the synonym if you have any. Otherwise there should be problem with database. Which version of database do you have and which v. of forms3 do you have? Oracle have made changes in data rows on v.8.

In the JDev project, open the wsdl file of your web service, at the end of the file you will find a <service> tag, under that ther will be a <soap:address> tag. The location attribute of this tag is the endpoint of your web service
of the format
http://<your_host_name>:<port>/<web_context_root>/servicename
use the port as 8988, its the default port for jdev's embedded oc4j.
Invoke the above url in your browser
[this is the home page for the web service you ran].
Click on the "Service Description" link to get the wsdl file.

Sorting and deleting in SQ01..plz reply soon

Hi all,
i am developing ABAP query through transactions SQ01, SQ02 and SQ03.
first i went to SQ03 then to SQ02 and then to SQ01.
When i am going to SQ01, i want to sort the output based on one field.
It shown there that if you want to sort on the basis of any field, drag that field to the main window.
But i am not able to drag the field.
And i want to sort in decending order and i want only the first record in the output, the remaining should get deleted.
Can anyone help me out with this.

If I remember correctly, simplest way is to put the applet ".class" file in the same directory (on the Web server) as the HTML page that contains the "applet" tag.
I guess, when you click on a link, you can go to another HTML page containing the applet -- although I don't remember ever doing anything like this myself.

How to find trace file error in form

hai all,
i have big problem in my form in apps i open the form one error is ocuured,
i got the trace file and check the error,
PARSE ERROR #82:len=2903 dep=0 uid=173 oct=3 lid=173 tim=4265689973879 err=904 this is the trace file error meassage,
how to find this error in form and also this is occured one select statement,how to find this select statement where can be used in form,
i have one button ,when ever i press the button this error is ocuured,i check this button pl/sql procedure code but in this code not using that sql statement,
if any one know to find the sql statement through trace file.
plz give the replay as soon as possible.

The newest SQL Developer can converts the trace to readable format too, I'm not shure if you see the sql statement related to the error then.
It seems you get ORA-00904 which says you use an invalid coumn in a dml statement.
Normally such error should pop up in message - do you overwrite the message handling or use exception handling in you form which block this message?
Easiest way to find this is to compile the form against the target database.
If this does not give an error, you should check, if you use dynamic sql statements which are wrong.
If you call database routines from your form, than this could be the errro cause too.

There is requirement to print 12 employee id cards ( 2 * 6) in A4 size in smartforms.
Id card consist of these fields
company address
emp id
emp name emp photo
designation
address
Option 1 : Photos are on desktop, we upload by using se78
Option 2 : Photos are stored in one of the infotype
How all the emp id will print their respective photos in the smartform.

i have done all settings as per given in documentation of webutil.
forms is compiling but at runtime it gives error:

Probably, the issue could be because of any one of the following.
 
 
1. Check whether you have added $OARCLE_HOME\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jar in the default.env under $ORACLE_HOME\Forms90\server folder.
 
 
2. Check whether you have added the virtual directory
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="$OARCLE_HOME/forms90/webutil" />
in the file orion-web.xml under $ORACLE_HOME\j2ee\DevSuite\application-deployments\forms\forms90web folder

J2ME custom items reply soon

I am new to J2ME.
i have created one form by using high level UI. filled color to the form by using custom item class. i want to append high level UI components such as choice group , string item etc into that coloured rectangular area into the form. how can i append? Is this possible? Also i need code for this plz reply.
Is there any other method available to change the back ground color without canvas?

I tried to update oracle_logo.gif in forms jar which is in f90all_jinit jar. I placed my icon in forms\oracle\forms\icons and renamed it as oracle_logo.gif while removing the existing one. Then I did jar the forms and placed that in f90all_jinit and again did jar f90all_jinit. Then, I placed this in ORACLE-HOME/forms90/java. When I tried to run the form...the form could not open and the java console shows this..

Can anyone guide me on how to get rid of this error ? Strange thing is that I've removed that f90all_jinit.jar and placed back the existing one (I took backup). But still it's showing the same error and not opening the form. I could and can not do anything without this error corrected.

Dear Friends,
I was also facing the same problem. to solve this, i have uninstalled Oracle Jinitiator. Cleared all the temporary internet files & cookies. Then while running the form, when it asks to install JInitiator, i have specified a different path for jinitiator, For Example, By default it asks for C:\programfiles, i have changed it to c:\manish directory.
This has solved my problem. Probably this also help you.

Hi i have a barely 1 month old Macbook , and recently i have noticed that the fans, when i put the book really close to my ears and i can hear a very smooth noise....is that normal or is it suposed to be 100% silent even when the room is totally quite!?!!?just wondering since iam a new mac user...

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. On my MBP in normal working, the fans will tick over at about 2,200 rpm.. If I am pushing things, or if an application gets out of control (the Firefox beta did this last week), I can expect them to run about 5,500 rpm or a bit more, although they soon begin to reduce speed, particularly once that application has finished what it was doing (or in the case of FF when I forced it to quit).
Temps will vary depending on the unit being monitored. My CPU (A) is hitting 61 degrees Celsius, while the hard disk is on 37 and the bottom enclosure is at 35. These are well within the operating parameters. It may feel hot sometimes, particularly on the bottom of the case, but this is not unexpected.

Error Running Forms: Failure of server APACHE bridge

Hi Everyone,
I have this problem on windows 7 64-bit... installation went fine without any errors.
Forms was working fine, i was able to run test form, and a form that i created, and both were running properly..
suddenly, while testing a new form module, it didn't work, and its showing :
Failure of server APACHE bridge:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF. I stopped and started the wls_forms and it didn't solve the problem..
i couldn't get to a solution anywhere, is it a problem with weblogic configuration? but how was it working well at the begining... if weblogic services are not starting, then what's the fix for that?
Help would be appreciated...

No, but as said you installed components (the HTTP Server) you wouldn't need for development. Did you start WLS_FORMS?
In any case the latest version of forms would be 11.1.2 where the installation process for a development machine is much easier.
You'd need
- wls1035_generic.jar and a 64bit java runtime
- the 64bit version of forms 11.1.2: http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/middleware/11g/111200/ofm_frmrpts_win_11.1.2.0.0_64_disk1_1of1.zip
of course you can install the 32bit version of forms too on your 64bit machine.
then during installation just check "development mode", and you get a development installation like you got with iDS 10.1.2 with one weblogic instance instead of 3 and all the components you won't need (like webcache or the http server) won't be installed.

"Invalid Cursor" Error in Form

Hi,
I wrote a procedure that take a REF CURSOR as an IN OUT argument. This procedure does an "OPEN cursor FOR qry" with a dynamic query:
OPEN l_cursor FOR
       'SELECT A '||
         'FROM B '||
        'WHERE C = :l_var'
     USING myVar;After calling the procedure, I do a LOOP with FETCH.
It works well when I use it in SQL*Plus with DBMS_OUTPUT but it returns a "ORA-01001 invalid cursor" error in Forms.
Any help is welcome!
