Error in generating activity

Hi experts,
I am facing vary strange problem i want to create aactivity but when i create a activity then it shows me a error
"The transaction 'Activate Planned' is not allowed for Business Activity <w/out no>, because no status is set to permit it.
*System Response*
*You cannot carry out the transaction 'Activate Planned'.*
*Procedure*
*You can carry out this transaction if you set a user status, which permits 'Activate Planned'*
But the same activity is working fine in production server.
Please help me rewarded point must be given.

Hi Khurram,
Have you checked the following Customizing pathway for entries in your system and compared them with those in Production?
>Customer Relationship Management -> Transactions -> Settings for Activities -> Maintain Transaction Customizing for Activities -> Assign Status and Subject Profile for Each Transaction Type
Here you can map the Transaction Type (Activity) to an External/User Status.
Verify what entries are present in Production for the specific Activity you're trying to create.
Let us know the results please.

Error when generating master data routines when activating infoobject

Hello Gurus,
I had an issue with one of my info object.
I Created the one Custom InfoObject with Just 5 Char without any masterdata and used that in many cubes. we promoted the objects and cube to test and production systems. just couple of days back we can see the InfoObject went to inactive status even though the version is active(not sure how it happend). This is only happens in our test system and production is working fine. when i try to activate the InfoObject again the test system it gives me an error
Characteristic XXXXX: Error when generating master data routines. Tried to correct in RSD5 etc. Checked in RSRV everything is fine. Tried to re-promote the object from Development system. The transport also failed with the same error even though it is in unconditional mode.
Can you please suggest me what are the options.
i cannot delete the object as it is used in many cubes which is having data.

If your Prod is working fine, it should work in test too.
Did it ever worked in test after transport?
Is it possible some one tried to change something in test? If yes, you will get error when you will try to re-transport it as new transport can't find the previous structure.
You may try to activate the IO using FM RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE

am getting an error while activating a report saying that error in generating the sel. screen 1000 in line 0....also, am not able to select the selection-texts (in the goto->text elements), which says there aer serious syntax errors...pl help..thanks all..

Error occurs while activating a 'Write Optimized' DSO.

I am getting error " There is no PSA for infosource 'XXXX' and source system 'XXX' while activating a newly defined DSO object.
I am able to activate a Standard DSOs, however the error occurs while activating a 'Write Optimized' DSO

For write optimised DSO, check if you have tick the uniqueness of the records. If you check that and if there are two same records coming from source in one go, then you will get error
From SAP help
You can specify that you do not want to run a check to ensure that the data is unique. If you do not check the uniqueness of the data, the DataStore object table may contain several records with the same key. If you do not set this indicator, and you do check the uniqueness of the data, the system generates a unique index in the semantic key of the InfoObject. This index has the technical name "KEY". Since write-optimized DataStore objects do not have a change log, the system does not create delta (in the sense of a before image and an after image). When you update data into the connected InfoProviders, the system only updates the requests that have not yet been posted.

Application error while generating PDF form

Hello there,
I am getting the message "Application error while generating PDF form" and when you hover it has additional information Message Class HREIC_APPL - Message number 258.
I get this upon doing the following steps:
1. Enter SAP R3, enter HREIC on the transaction code input.
2. Enter EIC, Activity Search. Searched for an Activity, selected it and click the "PRINT" button.
3. After clicking the PRINT button, I get the error message "Application error while generating PDF form".
Installed this on development box, did the same configuration in test system, but still I get this error. ADS Configuration is working fine and configured fine.
Is there anything else that is needed to be checked? like Ports, Firewalls, etc?

Error when generate Transformation- GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL related

Dear all:
We created transformation for cube 0PA_C01 and infoSource 0HR_PA_1 based on 3.x transfer rule. When we performed "Check", it is done successfully with any error. But during activation, there s syntax error occurred in program "GP_ERR_RSTRAN_MASTER_TMPL". And error lines are as following--
line 2815:
"Field "_B_1-MVIEW-CO_AREA" is unknown. It is neither in one of the spe"
"cified tables nor defined by a "DATA" statement. "DATA" statement. "DA"
"TA" statement."
Also there are two error message generated :
RSTRAN511- Error During generation
RSO404 - Error when activating Transformation 0ERUYQ8XMDJS1DP5U5U7HTBBNBME3GOE

Iam creating transformations for 0IC_C03. Iam facing problem in activating the transformations successfully. Some times it is throughing the above said error and some other times it is throughing the error ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT. I searched forums almost a day and i found that SP 9 is unstable in which we are now and experts suggesting to upgrade to SP10 or SP12. But the problem is client is not willing to go to SP upgradation now. I have no clue now. I almost spend two days on this. But on the other hand iam able to generate transformations successfully and able to load data for other cube 0SD_D04.
kindly suggest any one to get rid of this issue. Iam running out of time.

Internal Error while Generating the History

Hi All,
In BI7, going through Bex Analyzer when i log in i get this message " Internal error when generating the History. Use a different view".
The rest of the options i.e.roles, favorites, Infoarea are all okay but clicking the history tab pops up this message.

Error in generated code :Component Interface

Hi All,
I have my webdynpro component active works fine in Dev Server.
When we move it to qualtiy we got a strange error " Error in Generated Code, Type Z*IWCI is unknown.
Its related to the Component interface which gets generated automatically while any WDA is created but in our system it isnt getting generated?

Hi Bhanu,
Goto se09 check for that request ICF service is generated or not? I think you first created in $TMP and assigned package.
If ICF service is not available, just copy it to new comp, it will create new ICF service. I dont know this is the solution,
just a guess.

Error when Generating the Program

Recently there was an SP upgrade and my Planning Book started giving me this error message (SCM version =5.0 and SP = 7)
"Error when generating the program" Message no. /SAPAPO/TSM141
Diagnosis: Generated programs are programs that are generated based on individual data objects, such as planning object structure, planning areas and Infocubes. These programs are then executed in the transaction. An error occured during the generation of such a program
Possible causes:
1. The template has been corrupted
2. The object that the template uses to generate the program contains inconsistencies; for instance an Infocube has not been activated
This error occurs when I try to open the my planning book/creating the selection profile. I've re-activated the Infocube and later deactivate and active my POS and tried to do the same for the Planning Area....but the error still persists. I tried to create a new planning area and tried it again but the error still persists. I've tried to fix any inconsistencies in the planning area time series objects by running the consistency check....however the same error pops up during the consistency check....
Anyone encountered this error message and any possible solutions to this issue.

I did find an ABAP Dump when looking at ST22. The short message is as follows:

     The current ABAP program "GP_MET_PSTRU_BASIC_FORMS" had to be terminate
      because it has
     come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
What can you do?
     Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
     To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
     administrator.
     Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
     at and manage termination messages, and you can also
     keep them for a long time.
Error analysis
     During the generation of program "GP_MET_PSTRU_BASIC_FORMS", the system
      determined that
     within an ABAP event a control structure (for example, IF..ENDIF
     or LOOP..ENDLOOP) or a routine (for example, FORM routine) has
     become too large. The resulting jump distance is too large so that
    it could no longer be generated.
    With the internal load format, the jump distance must not be
    greater than 32768 (this is the size of approximately 10.000
    ABAP statements).
    The jump distance that is to be generated, however, is 50885.
How to correct the error
   The ABAP application program must be changed.

'Error when generating the selection screen "0500"

Dear all,
I have copied a function group QEES to ZQEES through SE80. In that I have copied all screens, includes, function modules etc..
Now when I activate the ZQEES, I get an error 'Error when generating the selection screen "0500" of report "SAPLZQEES'.
There is no problem with screen 0500, I have activated it.
But when I activate ZQQES, I get the error.

Hi Sachin,
there could be a problem while copying in renaming, delete the Function group ZQEES and recopy the Standrad function group and only rename the the FM QEES_SHOW_SELECTION_SCREEN to ZQEES_SHOW_SELECTION_SCREEN and copy and activate it will work.

Hello,
Try activating both the cubes using RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE. Activate them even thou they seem active.

I´m trying to activate 0BPARTNER but an error appears: Error when generating master data routines, and no more information is provided.
I´m working with BW 7.0.

Hi Carmen,
I'm working with SAP BW 700 and I had also this error during a characteristic activation in my QA system. This happened when I tried to transport the activated characteristic from my DEV system.
I found also message TK425 when I was trying activation through RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE program.
I solved this error message with OSS note 01458319 700SP24: "Transport fails during the impact analysis of DTP".-

Error when generating program when creating CVC using infoprovider

We are receiving the message "Error when generating program" when
creating CVC using infoprovider.
This may have something to do with the fact that we added an attribute
to the infoObject 9ALOCNO. We are getting an information message if we
run a consistency check in the POS.
We had this same issue in our development system. Here, I deactivated
and then reactivated the CVCs and this resolved the problem. However,
this is not a good solution since this is also a problem in our
production system and we do not want to deactivate the POS.
is there another option to fix this problem?

Hi Rumi,
i would try these:
1. Make sure the cube is active and every thing ok there
2. Run programs /SAPAPO/TS_PSTRU_CONS_CHECK on POS and /SAPAPO/TS_LCM_CONS_CHECK on planning area respectively.
3. Check the CVC creation log in transaction /n/sapapo/mc62 for more details.
