Error in GR against to inbound Delivery

Hi ABAPers,
i am doing GR agaist to inbound delivey(movemant type 101).
Through FM MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT in SE37 i am able to create GR succesfully.
Through the idoc using function module L_IDOC_INPUT_WMMBXY. in this FM it is calling the same above function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT. But here i am getting error saying that 'Update control of movement type is incorrect (entry &)'..
In both the cases i am passing the same data to FM MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT.
Could you please help me any one have idea on this.
Thanks and Regards,
Raju.

Hi Raju,
If you are using Idoc WMMBXY02 or any WMMBXY* ,and if you want to receive against the delivery, you have to populate the Idoc field E1MBXYI-KZBEW with 'B' and populate field E1MBXYJ-VLIEF_AVIS with your delivery number (don't forget to pad with leading two zeros).
This will work. Try it and let me know. I am sure it will work.

Inbound delivery is not part of Sales and Distribution. You might want to move your post to either the Logistics Materials Management (MM) forum or the Workflow forum.
Also sometimes search for OSS notes by the message class and number helps.

  • Post goods receipt against a Inbound Delivery(VL32N) FM or BAPI Method

    Hi Expert,
I am looking for a Function Module or BAPI Method to Confirm the Inbound Delivery i.e. that can post Goods Movement Against a Delivery Document.
My scenario is Create PO-> create Inbound delivery-> post Goods Receipt.
    Regards,
    Kapil.

In OSS note 520813 it is said:
    16. Question:
Which goods movements should I not post using the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE BAPI?
    Answer:
You should not post the goods receipt for the inbound delivery using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE BAPI because the document base and the status of the inbound delivery are not updated. See Note 199703.
If you check OSS note 199703 you can see that it is valid from release 45 to release 500.
Assigned to this note you can find another: 1050944 (it's worth of reading!!!).
I feel there are contradictions here - it might possible that the first note (520813) is not updated properly. (As far as I remember in my case this BAPI was working properly too).
In my opinion you should send a message to OSS and ask them whether the statement in note 520813 is still valid or not - you should also tell them that the referred note (199703) is not applicable to ECC6.0.
(there's a setting in ECC6.0 which enables that document flow is updated if GR is posted via MIGO with reference to IBD - V_TVSHP-SPE_INB_VL_MM)
I would like to ask you if you have a reply from them, please update this thread - it may be helpful for us.

One more remark: (based on OSS note 1050944) it seems that you cannot use it only in case of packing (IBD with HU).

  • Error when updating PO and Inbound Delivery

    Hi,
I am facing an error in one of my programs where I am making updates to a PO and its Inbound Delivery.
I am processing multiple POs, the details of which are read from a text file.
These PO's are processed in a loop, and for each PO, the 'BAPI_PO_CHANGE' is first called and then
I am using BDC over transaction 'VL32' to update the Inbound Delivery.
However, when I try to process multiple PO's, it gets stuck when updating the Inbound Delivery of the second PO
itself. When the BDC for updating the inbound delivery is called, I get an error message informing that the 'PO' is
        still being processed.
I am not sure why this error is occurring because I am calling the 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT' after updating the PO.
Any suggestions for solving this would be a great help.
    Regards,
    Sudeep

This because the locks aren't already deleted.
After the "BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT", try this code
    do.
    CALL FUNCTION 'ENQUEUE_READ'
       EXPORTING
         gclient = sy-mandt
         guname  = '*'
         gname   = 'EKKO'
garg    = garg                     "YOUR PURCHASE ORDER
       IMPORTING
         subrc   = vn_subrc
       TABLES
         enq     = tb_enq
       EXCEPTIONS
         OTHERS  = 1.
    if tb_enq[] is initial.
        exit.
    endif.
    enddo.
In this way, you avoid locks and you can process the Inbound delivery

  • MIGO Goods Receipt - error with Movement Types on GR from Inbound Delivery

    Hi,
I am getting an error message when processing a Goods Receipt (MIGO) against an Inbound Delivery with as 2 lines with different movement types, a standard 101 and a 970 (the latter being a user defined movement type for free goods).
The error message I get is 'Movement type 970 is not allowed; only 101 is allowed
    Message no. BORGR622'
This error message only occurs with a Goods Receipt against an Inbound Delivery, we are able to process a similar Goods Receipt using MIGO against a Purchase Order, with two different movement types 101 and 970, without any issues.
It is only a problem with a GR against an Inbound Delivery which is necessary in our MM solution.
As anybody and ideas how to resolve this?  I cannot see anything obvious in config, and have not spotted any SAP OSS notes either.
I should mention that we can process a single line Inbound Delivery and Goods Receipt for the Movement Type 970 also!

Thanks for the reply.  The Price Control Indicator is 'S'.
The solution was set up at my company before I joined, but the different movement type is to enable the free goods stock to make a Finance posting to a Bonus Stock GL Account.  Bonus stock sale update the same account.
As I mention the '970' movement type worked fine with Goods Receipt against a Purchase Order (it was coded into to the user exit).
The MM procedures were changed to use the Inbound Delivery matched to the PO, this had a result that when the Goods receipt was posted in MIGO it posted as 101 movement, as the PO number was not being recognised.
By making a further change to the user exit we able to suggest the '970' movement type, but now get the BORGR622 error I refer to.
'511' is not possible against an inbound delivery either.

  • Automated statistical goods receipt against inbound delivery

    Hi,
We have set up a process that we get a DELVRY03/DESADV Idoc from our vendor to confirm the delivery to our customer. This DESADV Idc will create an inbound delivery and a statistical goods receipt will be posted.
Now we have a new requirement, the vendor material has a serial number assigned. We get the serial number in segment E1EDL11 and it will be copied into the inbound delivery, unfortunately the statistical goods receipt will use transaction MB01 and it will post the statistical goods receipt against the purchase order details which did not contain the any serial number information.
Is there any way to set up the automated goods receipt against the inbound delivery and not against the PO?
    Thank you,
    Frank

    Hi,
Anybody out there who knows how to enable an automated goods receipt against an inbound delivery?

  • Goods receipt against inbound delivery

After an import po has been created then an inbound delivery is created also.So after the inbound delivery we do goods receipt and our goods receipt is done against po even when their is inbound delivery. The reason why the goods receipt is done with reference to the po is that we have different vendors for all the delivery costs for example we have a vendor for custom charges, a vendor for freight charges, a vendor for terminal charges.so the goods receipt is done against the po so that when doing the miro they can select the different vendors. But inbound delivery is done with a single vendor and if the goods receipt is done against the inbound delivery it might acquire all the costs to that vendor. Is there any method whereby we can be able to do our goods receiot with reference to inbound delivery that will also capture all the delivery costs

The process you should follows is this:
    1) PO - define all the custom and freight condition types and enter the corresponding vendor in the condition types. Also, in the confirmations tab, choose Inbound delivery
    2) When the vendor ships the material, create an inbound delivery from VL31N to track it (against the actual import vendor)
    3) When the goods reaches customs, do a MIRO against the PO choosing 2-Planned delivery costs. This will credit the Customs vendor.
    4) When the goods arrive at your plant, do a MIGO against the Inbound delivery from step 2. Enter the MIRO number of step 2 in the popup that appears.
    5) Now do the MIRO for the actual import vendor and the freight vendors if applicable.
Try this in your sandbox system. Doing a GR against IBD will not cause any difference in the accounting entries.

  • Inbound Delivery - Restrict GR Posting against the PO

    Hi,
I need to restrict GRN posting against the PO in case inbound delivery is already created against the Po. Current the system permits to post the GRN both against the Inbound delivery and against the PO.
    Pls advise.
    Thnx & Rgds,
    Shekhar.

    Hi Shekar,
If you have maintained confirmation control key in the PO, in Item overview - Confirmation tab.
You have to create Inbound delivery through T-code VL31N, once Ind.del created, the MIGO is possible only by Ind.del No....Pls check wether the PO is subjected to Ind.del.
Confirmation control key can be mainatined either manullay in PO or
it can be maintained tro Inforecord, which will be picked automatically when you create the PO.
    Thanks
    Vasanth

  • Posting GR against inbound delivery document by MIGO for the movt type 101

    Hello Team
To put my question in a simple way, i have changed the subject also. my requirement as below.
In my legacy system GR against PO is happening and the same data is passing to SAP system through PI. Where i need to post GR against the inbound delivery document of that PO.
    I followed the below steps
    1. i have used idoc mbgmcr03 and copied the FM ZIDOC_INPUT_MBGMCR.
    2. In PI system i am doing all relavent mappings.
Now i want to retrieve the inbound delivery document from SAP for the PO which i got from legacy system. Then i need to post the GR against that inbound delivery document. Finally IDOC should gets created with that inbound delivery document details.

    Hi
As far as my experiance with SAP says we don't have any SAP Standard setting to update the entry related to T-code. Internally all the ABAP code reads the t-code and based on the processing type define it execute the code and update the table so that later analysis can be done by which t-code the document got generated

  • Inbound delivery goods receipt

    G'day All,
We have just implemented WMS and use both EDI and manual ASN's for Purchase Orders.
Pre WMS we would receipt the Inbound Delivery via MIGO and if the receipt amount is outside the Confirmation Control Key tolerance for KG's we would receive a message. ie "PU Ordered quantity exceeded by xxx KG".
Now we are using WMS and before we Goods Receipt, for each Inbound Delivery we also create an Inbound Transfer Order using VL06I “For Putaway”.
BUT now when we use VL06I (instead of MIGO) to confirm and Goods Receipt in ONE step by using “For confirmatn”.
For each inbound delivery we choose confirm in background and use option 2 in Adopt Putaway qty (Copy stock plcmt qty as deliv.qty into delivery and post GI).
The problem is we do NOT receive the error message we did in MIGO. The Inbound TO is confirmed but the GR fails but we don’t know anything about it until we discover a negative amount in our interim GR Storage Type.
If we do it in two steps and use option 1 (Stock placement qty adopted into delivery as delivery qty) which confirms the TO first, then use “For gds receipt” we get the error message.
Can anyone help me with ideas on getting the message to display in VL06IC “For confirmatn” When we confirm the TO and GR in one step? We do not want to use the 2 step method as our Despatch department is already overworked and they will rebel and take the easy way out, leaving our inventory controllers with large headaches!
    Thankyou
    Luke
    null

    Hi
If you are carrying out a Put away against the inbound delivery first and confirming the TO the negative balance is normal as IM Does not know it has arrived yet.
Once the Put away is completed you need to go back to the inbound delivery and Post Goods receipt. This will show the stock in IM and remove the negative.
    Reason
Because you are putting the stock away before you inform IM then the stock has to come from somewhere and as the movement type is 101 it creates a negative qty in 902. The post goods issue will post corresponding qty in 902 and cancel out the negative.
    I hope that this helps
