Error in inserting field to CV01n

Hello Dears,
I should insert new Zfield to Tcode CV01n.
Then,
I created a new Zfield and added it to the tabel ( DRAT table ),
and want add this Zfield to the screen layout.
Program: SAPLCV110
Screen No: 102
I'm going to Layout Editor and try to change layout, but unfortunately after edit screen, some errors occur and some I/O fields hide and I can't find them into the layout and they deleted from element list.
(For Exp: : "Input/output field "DRAT-DKTXT" not defined.")
Therefore, kindly request you to guide me on this matter.

Hi Dear Chandra,
I added I/O field DART-DKTXT and other necessary fields to screen and I could activate screen.
But status of my inserted fields (And other I/O fileds like DART-DKTXT) are not correct.
For exp: in view mode (CV03n) these fields are editable.

• HELP: Error while insert in master-detail form!!!

Hello
I have created a master-detail form and when I tried to insert a new record I got an error that the field on the detail table that references the primary key on the master table can not be null. I don't understand this error because I thought that when you create a master-detail form and you insert a new record the field that make the references in the detail table to the primary key on the master table will be automatically filled, am I wrong??. Can anybody tell me what is going on??. The primary key of my master table is filled with a trigger before insert, is that the problem??.
Please Help me is really urgent
Ana Maria

I am still new to this, but maybe this will help.
1. Double check that your foreign key link definition in the detail table is referencing the correct column in the master table. If this is not present or referencing the column, this may be causing the problem. Self evident, but sometimes it is the simple things that get us.
2. I have not used a trigger yet, but could there be validation being done in the form before the trigger is firing. Therefore, there would not be a value in the detail part of the form.
Hope this was of some help.

• Syntax error in insert query

I have a flash form that is used to inserts a record into an

Any recomendations?

Date/Time in Access provide some pretty strage hurdles. In
many occassions I have simply changed the field to a Text field and
ran with that and never seemed to have problems with the result. I
didn't like doing it but I never received errors. I have been
receiving some parameter errors with <cfqueryparam> like the
database doesn't recognized the preceding declared field in the
update or insert query. Here is an example of a wierd error with
Access. I have 2 tables. One is for estimate numbers and the other
is for sub estimate numbers that can be assigned to specific
estimate numbers. If is actually a complicated explanation about
what is taking place behind the doors on this. The concept is
simple on the surface. Both tables have the same fields except the
subestimate table has 1 extra for a user defined subestimate
number. The only relation between the two will be the estimate
number. This insert works fine.
INSERT INTO EstimateNumber(

This next one is the same exact query with the same table

IF I get rid of the cfqueryparam fields it works. If I simply
remove the param, I get a Syntax error. Needless to say I commented
this query for the sake of sanity for the time being.

• Syntax error in insert into

Hi,
I'm new to coldfusion and was doing a practice survey. I'm
getting the following error:
The INSERT INTO statement contains the following unknown
field name: 'recipes'. Make sure you have typed
the name correctly, and try the operation again.
The error occurred in (coldfusion form): line 405

not doing it','This survey!','no improvement suggestions'
VENDORERRORCODE -3502
SQLSTATE 42000
Can anyone tell me what this possibly means? I'm sure its
probably hard to understand without seeing the form. These are the
types of fields each are:
lname, fname, yourID = text
status = radio
preprog_survey = radio
recipes, activity, tips, stress, other, = checkboxes
othertext, = text
weight_result, = radio
lbs_gained,lbs_lost, = text
behaviors, = radio
desc_behaviors, most_help, improve_prog = text

Looking at the code you supplied I noticed that for the
checkboxes values where '0' and '1'.
SQL Insert into maintaint
(lname,fname,yourID,status,preprog_survey,recipes,activity,tips,stress,other,othertext,we ight_result,lbs_gained,lbs_lost,behaviors,desc_behaviors,most_help,improve_prog)
values ('last name','first
name','444444','member,'No','0','0','1','0','1','no work, all
play','gained',' too many','','Yes','Dreaming of eating better, but
not doing it','This survey!','no improvement suggestions'
You don't need quotes around numeric values, only text.
Hope that helps you.

• Why JD is trying to insert fields not selected?

Hi,
My table has a default value for a column which is not null.
(sysdate for the record creation date).
When I insert a record through SQLPlus without selecting this
column, this columns gets populated with the sysdate. The same
works with Forms 4.5 also.
But when I do the same thing with JDeveloper, the database is
throwing back an error ORA-01400 Null cannot be inserted in to
the database.
The Query statement in the error (BEGIN INSERT...) shows all the
fields in the table, though I haven't chosen the created date
field. (nor a couple of other fields). Why JD is trying to
insert values to the fields that are not there in the query and
not selectd.
Now what do I do with this??
Can u tell me whether this JDeveloper tool is meant for
developing serious applications.

null

Hi,
Bug for sure!. Because this tool is full of them! What I would
like to know is the possibility of getting a patch. Is there any
plan?
One more thing. I think I have understood what is happening in
this situation. Irrespective of what columns I select in the
query, the entire metadata about the table comes and sits in the
xml file. In my specific case, I tried to delete the attribute
for created date from the xml file. Still it was trying to insert
the value. Later, I found the notnull constraint in the xml file
for this column. When I deleted that attribute also, it worked
properly. I suspect that the insert statement is created by
parsing the xml file. In that case the bug is not in IB data
access layer. It is in creating the xml file itself.
Hope u can throw more light in to this.

• Runtime error while inserting in PA0036 during Massupload of HR Master data

Hi All,
We are creating HR master data for infotypes : 0000,0001, 0002, 0003, 0017, 0105.
with the help of BAPI_HRMASTER_SAVE_REPL_MULT . Where we append appropriate data in internal tables and send it to the BAPI. We are able to create/update data for several personal Nos.
When we try to upload around 3000 data records & try to create them as mentioned above, it results into Runtime Error : MESSAGE_TYPE_X in program SAPUP50R. The Errors reads : Error in INSERT from table PA0336 argument.....
My question is : why is it giving Runtime error, when it perfectly runs for few records at a time & why is it trying to update PA0336 infotype, when we are not using it at all.
Any pointers would help to solve the problem.
Regards,
Siddhesh Sanghvi

Are you using several countries (MOLGA)?
The error sounds like using the infotype views:
With the feature IVWID (is stored PA0003-VIEKN) the infotype views (see table T582V+T582W) are read and set in background process within the infotype classes. For infotype 0002 (MOLGA = 19 , Portugal) the infotype view V336 is called and the data are stored in table PA0336 additionally.
Here you have to check the table T500P (Personnel Areas) for the entries in field MOLGA, the feature IVWID for the return value, perhaps field value PA0003-VIEKN for the "crashed" employees.
regards

• Error when inserting a new record (Ctrl+Down)

Hello,
[http://img402.imageshack.us/my.php?image=12846351.jpg]
Here the problem is : when i press Ctrl+Down (Insert new record), i enter data into all those fields, but i got an error
Cannot Insert Record ("ROGER"."NUME") cannot be null (roger is my username which i logged on). And i completed all fields
Also, when inserting data into fields, when i click on another field, it points me back automatically to the last completed field, then when i click again on the next field, i can enter data in that field. why the cursor cannot be on the next field when i first click there?
i changed the property of the items Required = No (but however, in the database cannot be null).
Please help if you can.
Thanks

For your other issue, with null fields on your forms.
have you ever tried to log those fields value into a log table?
A better and simple idea is:
Create a temp table, with four columns: seq, section, message, type
Where section is the column to condition any search you want to make
message is the column to write anything you want
type is the column which holds the tpe of the record, like info, debug, warn, etc.
then create a database procedure
this procedure must recieve the section, message, type and insert them into the log table and do commit.
in yiour pre-insert trigger [forms level] or in your when-button-pressed or even better on your on-commit trigger [forms level]
write the following code:
begin
database_procdure('MY_FORM_NAME', 'THE VALUES ARE: 1='||:1||' 2='||:2||' 3='||:3, 'INFO');
end;
After that you can do a select in your sql*plus with the following statement:
select *
from temp_table
where selction like 'MY_FORM_NAME';
then you can track if any of the values you think is null or has a value, in fact, has a value.

• Error when inserting...or rather, trying to....

Hi all,
I have a master/detail form where the master block is based on a view and the detail on a table.
When I try to insert records in the detail block I get an error message saying 'Field is protected against update'.
The thing is, neither the block, nor the fields are protected against update - also, I4m not trying to update a record, but inserting a new one.
To add to the confusion - if I create a record in the detail table using sql*plus, updating it from the form works just fine.
Any ideas?
All suggestions appreciated.

ORA-06512: at line 7The problem is that your variable subject_obj is not in scope inside the dynamic SQL you are building. The SQL engine does not know your PL/SQL variable, so it tries to find a column named SUBJECT_OBJ in your SAM1 table.
If you need to use dynamic SQL for this, then you must bind the variable. Something like this:
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'insert into op_sample (select id,name,:bind_subject_obj from sam1) ' USING subject_obj;Alternatively you might figure out to use static SQL rather than dynamic SQL (if possible for your project.) In static SQL the PL/SQL engine binds the variables for you automatically.

From what I see you are not handling emp_id when it is null.. you need to assign it a value when null from sequence.. that column cannot be null, hence the error, and in order to "modify" a column in that table the DML needs that id to have a value.

Hello Durga,
from the error what I understood is lt_key_values is a sorted table and you are trying append a new line to it. Incase of sorted table you need to use the INSERT statement and not the APPEND statement.
INSERT lw_key_value INTO table lt_key_values.

• Error when inserting Web Dynpro script in Adobe form

Hi
In my WD component in one of the view I have an ADOBE form (Online scenario) and a button to save data into backend. In the ADOBE form everything is working properly, however the problem is when I click on the button to save, Its not getting into my action code. Even I am not getting any error other than the wait symbol.
In the form I have taken ZCI layout but when i'm inserting Webdynpro Script its showing an error 'Error when inserting Web Dynpro script'.
Please let me know why this error is getting.
Thanks

Hi Ram,
I hope you help me,
I have the same error, when I insert a web Dynrp Script, what version of SAPGUI do you use?
Thanks

If I try insert only XMLDOCUMENT object (lines 30, 42 are commented out, 43 IS NOT) - everything is OK.
If I try to insert only BLOB object (lines 30, 42 are NOT COMMENTED OUT, line 43 is commented out) - everything is OK again.
If I try to insert them both having some values (lines 30, 43 are commented out, 42 is not commented out) - it fails right on "command.ExecuteNonQuery();" (line 54)
with the following exception:
"ORA-21500: internal error code, arguments: [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%s], [%]".
Even when I nullify oraBlob before assigning it to OracleParameter value (line 30 is commented out, line 42 and 43 are not) I have the same exception.
XMLDOCUMENT and DLOB data logically are very coupled objects (in my application), so I really want to insert them simultaneously in one stored procedure in transactional way.
Is it bug of drivers, server, .net environment, or I miss something in implementation?
PS. In some articles on Oracle web and in MSDN site I found a mention about necessity of wrapping all write/update operations in a transaction, while working with temporary LOBs. I use it here, but it does not look like changing anything.

Hello,
I tested your code with the 10.1.0.4.0 ODP and 10.1.0.4.0 Client and it worked fine.
Can you please apply the 10.1.0.4.0 patches for both ODP and client to see if this resolves the issue for you.
Here is the output from the same execution of the ODP application you provided as a testcase. These rows were inserted at the same time when I executed the application and passed the data as parameters to the SP you provided.
