Error in installing CR2008 XI

Hey! Experts,
I am trying to install CR2008 XI and I already have BOE3.1 installed which is working fine. But installing CR2008 XI gives me error "error no 1305: verify if crw32res_en.dll exists or its not accessed by anyone ". The dll file is there on the location but it cn't be accessed. I don't know what to do. My OS is xp sp3. Am I installing correct version of CR2008? Please let me know asap.

Hi Grace,
THERE is NO FREE version of BOE3.1 so you may be calling what ever you downloaded incorrectly and BOE 3.1 will NOT install on Windows XP. Doesn't matter what you do it will not work on a Work Station OS.
When you went to this page which product did you download?

I need help regarding installing CR2008/Visual Advantage. I had the evaluation copy of cr2008. My compnay purchased the CR2008 Visual Advantage. Upon calling your customer service, I was told that I had to UN-install the CR2008 evaluation copy then install the CR2008. I did the unstall HOWEVER, when I try to install the CR2008 that we purchased, i get the following error..HR
HR -2147024770-"c:\program files\business objects enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\REPORTCONVTOOL.DLL FAILED TO REGISTER"..
I get more that just that one...I have received this before and based upon this formum, i have delted the regristry in the following using regedit.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECT ;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\BUSINESS OBJECTS..
Afeter i deleted the keys, I re-boot my pc and try to install the coftware again...BUT I GET THE SAME ERRORS...I have tryied this several times....what am i missing/not doing correctly

I would suggest making sure your machine is clean. Contact support for the steps to fully uninstall CR. For example, here are notes to uninstall previous versions of CR:

Error installing CR2008 SP3 FP3.2 and/or FP3.3

I have installed 2008 SP3 and FP3.1 sucessfully on several machines and am now trying to isntall FP3.2 or FP3.3, but both error during install:

Hi John,
Try emptying all of your PC's \temp folders and then re-boot and try again.
If that doesn't work try un-installing FP 3.1 and apply 3.3

Error while installing OWB

Error while installing OWB
after 50% install.. it says
"Error in writing to file c:\oracle\ora9201\bin\oci.dll
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"
Apparently I have restarted the workstation and closed all oracle related services in services and no other program is running expect the installer.
Can any one help in resolving the issue. Or can I hit the ignore button and continue installing?

Always install OWB into a new ORACLE_HOME unless the Installation and Configuration Guide states otherwise. This has only happened twice. OWB 9.0.2.62.3 was the last version to allow installation into an existing ORACLE_HOME. Another thing you can do is go to www.sysinternals.com and download the utility LISTDLLs. It is great. From a command prompt, start it with the syntax: listdlls >log.txt
This will output the DLLs in use and which executable is using it. Search for the DLL in the log.txt and scroll up until the double line. The executable name locking the DLL will be above the double line. If you have the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service running on the client, it will lock Oracle DLLs. This has been a common issue in the past, going back to the days of Data Mart Suite. This was documented in the Release Notes for it and may still be in the system in a note somewhere. It is in: DMS: Unable To Install; Filesopen/Service Running On Compaq Server Doc ID: Note:1080977.6 and Certain Files which need to be Reinstalled are Being Used Doc ID: Note:117672.1

Error while installing Oracle 10g on Fedora Core 1. After 40% of the Installation is thru, the progress bar is showing 40%, it gives error "Not connected to Oracle" and the installation has to be terminated.
We have tried by using the on-line procedure and changing the required script to make believe it as said.

Are you createing DB also???

Hello,
Are you trying to install SQL Server on a compressed or encrypted drive? SQL Server won’t install on a drive/folder with these attributes.
Are you trying to install SQL Server on a ReFS file system? It is not supported on SQL Server 2012.
Disable any security/antivirus software and download the media again. Mount the media (.ISO file) and try to install again.

MOS-01011 'C:\usr\sap\BWI\SYS\exe\run/sapstartsrv.exe' returned with '-1'.
The J2EE server is up unrunning @ the installing the Netweaver ABAP Instance I got this error.
For the user BWI it has the Administrator previlages i checked so many time but I am unable to get it.
Please help me out the error.

We tried twice clean installation, after removing j2ee dir, SCS and
resp profiles and droping PSAPQSSDB tablespace and SAPQSSDB user.
I have also confirmed the passwords in ABAP system/000 for SAPJSF, DDIC, J2EE_ADMIN, J2EE_GUEST.
We are getting the same error in both tries.
Kindly advice us to resolve the problem.

you saved my day! I've been banging my head against the wall with this same problem during a J2EE add-in installation for SRM 4.0 on Windows, in preparation of an LAC 2.0 installation. I had tried deleting the schema first, but that didn't work. After I removed the sys\global\security folder as well, it worked perfectly.

Error in installing 10.2.0.4

I have been using Oracle 10.2.0.3 in windows 7 machine, which has three databases.
When I tried to upgrade it to 10.2.0.4, I got an error when installing the patch 10.2.0.4 stating
*"OUI-10091: There are no patches that need to be applied from the patchset Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Patch Set 3 10.2.0.4."*
I have searched forum and google for this error most of the solution says "it may be because of corrupted software" but actually it was working and I have used it previously.

Windows Update, or download the installation package and then install manually?

Error in installing Photoshop CS5 extended.

I'm trying to install Photoshop CS5 Extended on my laptop (win 7 64 bit), and I always get a installation error.
The error is "There were problems with your installation. Some required components may have failed to install. This could impact the functionality of installed applications"
When I click on troubleshooting it says there were 42 errors and 39 warnings =/
Antivirus and Firewall is turned off
Any ideas what the problem could be?

Error on installing iTunes under Win 8

Error on installing iTunes under Win 8
I have recently upgraded to Win 8. When installing iTunes the following error shows:
"An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32",version"8.0.50727.4053.publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b 9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="amd64". Please refer to Help and Support for more information HRESULT:0x80073715.
I am running the ITunes x64 install. I have installed the V++ redistributable with no change in result.
I have subsequently downloaded and manually installed via the Apple Software update program iTunes. However this does not allow my iPad to be connected as it is not the x64 version.

After spending an entire day on this issue, I figured out something that worked. After installing Windows 8 (64-bit) then Visual Studio 2012 (or 2013) then the latest 64-bit iTunes app, I got the 0x80073715 error.
What finally worked for me was:
1) Get all the Windows updates and hotfixes - especially the ones for Visual Studio.
2) Go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14431 and download the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update"
3) Only install vcredist_x64.exe.
After running these steps, I was able to completely install iTunes on my Windows 8 64-bit instance.
