Error in internal table
hello,
I am geting this error when refering to a field in the structure i created.
"I_MAKT" is a table without a header line and therefore has no
component called "MATNR".
what can i do, because i know that is does exist.
I am doing all entries for 8 table and relating them by matnr.
Hi , u have to create a teble with header line or u cretae separate work area and itab and compare fileds with workare.
data : wa_makt type ls_makt,
itab type table of ls_makt.
or itab type tabkle of ls_makt with headr line.
Note ls_makt is a struvure of required fileds .
always create a st, of required fileds , dont use all the fileds directly form stnd. table,
it will decrease ur performance,

Hi Experts,
i have enhanced the BOB EHFND_DATA_AMOUNT , with custom subnode below root. Now i need to create a list uibb for this Subnode.
When i add this list in amount screen i am getting thiss error message --ERROR: Two internal tables are neither compatible nor convertible. (termination: RABAX_STATE)
THere are now two list in same screen, Since this is enhanced node of EHFND_DATA_AMOUNT, in the view i can able to give only BO node has "EHFND_DATA_AMOUNT" and node has custom name( Root key --> parent custom subnode).
Can i create two lists in a same screen ?
Whether i need to create two different BOB for each lists ?Open an OSS ticket, this is probably a programming error which requires a note to fix it.

Time out error in internal table
HI ,
i am using one internal table as below .
loop at i_main.
i_temp-field0 = i_main-field0.
loop at i_main into wa_main where some conditions.
i_temp-field1 = wa_main-field1 * wa_field-field2.
endloop.
append i_temp.
endloop.
so here in that calculations becoz of more records in i_main i am getting time_out error .
so how we can avoid this can any one pls help me .

I am trying to use a standard Function Module - HR_FBN_GENERATE_SEND_EMAIL in a Webdynpro ABAP Application to send email to a standard mailbox. I am getting this error. Did anyone come across this error?

Dynamic creation of internal table based on alv layout
Hi experts!!
I have the following request from my client:
I am displaying an alv report and i need to download it in txt format based on the columns showed in the current layout (i.e. if the user chooses to hide some columns, then they should not appear in the txt file ). In the alv i am using the Function Modules of the alv and not ABAP Objects.
I thought of dynamically creating the internal table, but i am not sure how to do it.
I also thaught of creating an internal table with only one field with the maximum length, but how can i check which fields are diplayed, and how can i get their values??

I created a dynamic internal table by:

It gave the error <b> internal table too small </b> SAPSQL_SELECT_TAB_TOO_SMALL,
so I removed the error by using "into corresponding fields of <IT_DBTABLE>.
But now it is not creating a TXT file by function module from internal table records. As it says the CONDENSE statement cannot be executed and dump occurs: 'OBJECTS_NOT_CHARLIKE' 'The current statement only supports character-type data objects', 'In statement
"CONDENSE" the argument "<F_SOURCE>" can only take a character-type data object'.
It only happens for table AFPO. As I think this table has fields i.e. currency which cannot be treated as characters. Is the move corresponding approach ok. Or how can I create text file with these records.try creating a dynamic table in the image of the source table and then move-corresponding to the original one. Something like this:

ABAP Internal table cannot be extended dump

I am getting the error abap internal table cannot be extended dump for FI program.
If I make use of Hashed table instead of Standard internal table,will it solve the problem.Will the hashed table able to hold more data.

Problem can be if you have used include structure of any another table and that table have size category such that it can store only that much values which you have set for creating that SAP table .

Create Table Control using Dynamic Internal Table.

I have requirement in which I will create a Dynamic Internal Table and then I need to create a Table Control Using that Internal Table. Now this can't be done using Screen Editor as it requires a pre-defined internal table or a DDIC Object.

Print long internal table in smartform, error SSFCOMPOSER250
Hi experts,
In VL03N i'm getting this error SSFCOMPOSER250 (Table row is larger than 176 cm) when printing a long internal table containing item's serial numbers. The item has 1000 serial numbers, and they are passed to the smartform in an internal table. I tried to separate in different rows, each one with 200 serial numbers but when printing the 3rd block the message appears again.
Is it possible to print this table in the smartofrm ??

MaríaI used SERIAL_LS_PRINT to get the serial numbers and then PROCESS_SERIALS_FOR_PRINT and got this:

But I need to print all the serial numbers, not an interval.. -
Time out error 1.6 million internal table fields are computed using FMs
Hi , All ...
The Report running fine in server with less 300 record but ...production server which has 1.6 million record it gives error as time-out error and takes hell amount of time.
Please suggest ugently ..
I have tried few things
Internal table having 1.6 lacs ... fields to compute .. i have token in a batch
loop at i_cinfo into s_cinfo from 1 to 100000.
and so on ...also applied all the performace related .. like indexs, work areas , deleting adjacent duplicates , for all entries ..wherever applicable.
Please Suggest .

try to use cursor to read the records from the table which will make it a bit more efficient than plain select stement. -

Here is a small sample program to convert data in an internal table into XML format and display it.
DATA: itab TYPE TABLE OF spfli,
l_xml TYPE REF TO cl_xml_document.
* Read data into a ITAB
SELECT * FROM spfli INTO TABLE itab.
* Create the XML Object
CREATE OBJECT l_xml.
* Convert data in ITAB to XML
CALL METHOD l_xml->create_with_data( name = 'Test1'
dataobject = t_goal[] ).
* Display XML Document
CALL METHOD l_xml->display.
Here are some other sample SAP programs to handle XML in ABAP:
BCCIIXMLT1, BCCIIXMLT2, and BCCIIXMLT3.

Error when inserting into a internal table
hello.
I get the fowolling error.
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
and
therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
In a SELECT access, the read file could not be placed in the target
field provided.
Either the conversion is not supported for the type of the target field,
the target field is too small to include the value, or the data does not
have the format required for the target field.
I did a join of 5 table and it is inseting into an interal table wich tpye is al the fields that i am pulling from the other tables. can someone please help. thanksPerformance wise its not suggested to use CORRESPONDING FIELDS so better take care of the fields u are selecting into table by having the structure of internal table exactly like the fields u are selecting, in the same order.
ex:

Error in passing internal table to smartform
I have created a structure type in the driver program as below.

Then i created internal table and its work area of the above structure type as below
data: it_final type STANDARD TABLE OF gy_final,
wa_final type gy_final.
I fetched the records in to the internal table it_final.
Now i wanted to pass this in to smartform.

Error while uploading an edited excel file into an internal table
Hi Experts,
I am getting error while uploading an excel file that has been edited.
I am using GUI_UPLOAD for uploading the file into internal table.
In my program I first have to download a file, if I use the same file without editing I am able to read the file.
When I try to edit it and then use it to upload it fails, but this is part of the my requirement.
PLease suggest.

Error while reading excel file from application server into internal table.
Hi experts,
My requirement is to read an excel file from application server into internal table.
Hence I have created an excel file fm_test_excel.xls in desktop and uploaded to app server using CG3Z tcode (as BIN file type).
Now in my program I have used :
OPEN DATASET v_filename FOR INPUT IN text mode encoding default.
DO.
READ DATASET v_filename INTO wa_tab.
The statement OPEN DATASET works fine but I get a dump (conversion code page error) at READ DATASET statement.
Error details:
A character set conversion is not possible.
At the conversion of a text from codepage '4110' to codepage '4103':
- a character was found that cannot be displayed in one of the two
codepages;
- or it was detected that this conversion is not supported
The running ABAP program 'Y_READ_FILE' had to be terminated as the conversion
would have produced incorrect data.
The number of characters that could not be displayed (and therefore not
be converted), is 445. If this number is 0, the second error case, as
mentioned above, has occurred.
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE', was not
caught and
therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
Characters are always displayed in only a certain codepage. Many
codepages only define a limited set of characters. If a text from a
codepage should be converted into another codepage, and if this text
contains characters that are not defined in one of the two codepages, a
conversion error occurs.
Moreover, a conversion error can occur if one of the needed codepages
'4110' or '4103' is not known to the system.
If the conversion error occurred at read or write of screen, the file
name was '/usr/sap/read_files/fm_test_excel.xls'. (further information about
the file: "X 549 16896rw-rw----201105170908082011051707480320110517074803")
Also let me know whether this is the proper way of reading excel file from app server, if not please suggest an alternative .

Try to use OPEN DATASET v_filename FOR INPUT IN BINARY mode encoding default. instead of OPEN DATASET v_filename FOR INPUT IN text mode encoding default.
As I think you are uploading the file in BIN format to Application server and trying to open text file.
