Error in iput field

SAP Guys,
While doing GR this error getting me
Error : The input field containes prohibited characters (already deleted)
This error will come when i am selecting rather than other selected.mean if suppose i am Goods reciept i want to select Goods issue this error will come
and no further processing

This issue is not clear, do you mean that when you select a value from a table you get an error.

Error with quantity field:Datasource Creation Using Function Module method

Problem with DATASOURCE Creation using Function Module method :
I have created a datasource ZSTANDARD_COST_PRICE using Function Module method . The datasource creation is successfull when I remove the quantity field from the Z table . If I dont remove the quantity field from my Z table it gives an error as "Units Field WAERS for field STPRS of datasource ZSTANDARD_COST_PRICE is hidden". I am not able to remove this error . Please someone guide.

Hi,
You should add it as one of the main fields as you have added other fields and not as the currency fields...that is..it should be part of the data source and you should be able to see it in RSO2...
Also if added as i said then it will come as new field in the data source...you can either let it be there...or hide it..
also if you want to populate it then you will have to write the code for this fields as well.

How to populate the Error stack during error records in field level routine

hi,
I am capturing the error records in Field level routine in transformation. now i want these records to reflect in error stack.
i am using 'Append monitor-rec to MONITOR' at the moment but i cant see any records in error stack.
but when i am using the same statement in start routine i am getting records in error stack.
can anyone please help as to how can i populate error stack through field level routine?

Try to do it in the end routine instead of the field routine.

FF_5 - Import Bank Statement, Err: Formatting error in the field COBL-KOSTL

When importing the bank statement I'm getting the error
Error: (00 298) Formatting error in the field COBL-KOSTL ; see next message
Why is it doing this? In OKB9 I have the GL Account and the cost center assigned. It is the ne GL that is giving this problem, in the classic GL I do not have this problem.

No, it is not that. For some reason in the new GL it does not seem to determine the cost centers and profit centers as usual.
For exampl to allocate the Profit Center for Balance Sheet Account I used to use 3KEH in the classic gl but in the New gl we must use FAGL3KEH.
Now with cost center i'm having the same problem, does not determine the cost center when importing the bank statement.
Can someone help me.

Error in ALV : Field Does not exists in Output table .

Hi All,
In my ALV report, program get dumped and showing error when i tried to put a col named Distribution channel ion the alv.
I have put the Distribution cannel field in the IT_FInal table , but still getting folwong errors :
Error : Field Symbol is not been assigned.
As Instructed i have passed I_INTERFACE_CHECK = 'X'.
By this i am getting detail error that :
Field Distribution channel does not exists in Output table & Heading for List is missing .
But i have maintained the distribition channel in IT_Final table
Please suggest wheather we have to define dis channel in any other place.

I developed a custom SharePoint 2013 Application (SharePoint hosted) and everything works fine. If I tried to update the application and I ran into the following error:
The element 'Field' in namespace 'urn:deployment-manifest-schema' cannot contain text. List
of possible elements expected: any element in namespace '##any'.
If I redeploy the application (without update, just a new instance) everything works fine. Only the update scenario throws the exception above.
I tried different things to solve that issue:
I recreated the feature
I checked all the custom field definitions, content types and lists inside the app.
I tried different O365 tenants and a SharePoint 2013 On Premise Development Server (Same problem on all systems)
Can anybody give me a tip to solve that problem?

Hi,
According to your description, when you try to update your SharePoint Hosted App, an error occurs.
To narrow down the issue, I would suggest you create a simple app without other components in it, deploy it and then update it to see if this error will still occur.
Once you get a workable app without the update issue, then you can add other customizations one after one in this app and perform the update. By doing this, it would
be easier to find out the root cause.

Mail / Merge in WORD with DOI. Error in WORD 'field separator'

I have a program that creates   WORD DOcuments for merging with data.
I use WORD documents created with BDS.
I used program   SAPRDEMO_MAILMERGE_INTERFACE as an example for creating my own program.
When I call METHOD VIEW ,after creating data source and MERGE, I get following error in WORD
   'field separator?. WORD asks which is the separator for field.
whatever separator I indicate, WORD issues an error saying    no record found.
If I execute program   SAPRDEMO_MAILMERGE_INTERFACE, it works.
I don't understand what happens.

I found solution.
In my data source , I have only 1 record.
When calling method merge_range I must indicate 0 in record number and not 1 ( with 1 it worked on our system but not on the customer system : cause in SAP or EXCEL I don't know. )

Formatting error in the field COBL-GSBER - FF_5 Upload

Hi Experts,
When I upload the bank statement in FF_5, I am getting the following error.
"Error: (00 298) Formatting error in the field COBL-GSBER ; see next message"
If I make the field "Businees Area" Optional in Field Status Group of the "Bank Main Accout", then I am not getting the above error and the posting also happens to the "Bank Main Account".
But if I make "Business Area" Required Entry Field then I get the above error.
Is there any other method to rectify this problem, i.e can this be resolved even after keeping Business Area as a required field.
Pl advice.

I hope making Business area optional field is not a wise decision...user may go without inputting the business area in the field which later on will create problem for clearing...
If required go for activating user exit FEB00001... which will give you the business area...
try the same with your ABAPer....

Ff_5 Formatting error in the field COBL-KOSTL

When automatically posting bankstatements we have several searchstrings in place.
Most of them post against a bookingrule, but in this case I have a posting on a costcenter as well.
I created two equal searchstrings, one for the bookingrule and one for the costcenter.
When executing FF_5 SAP only books in area 1 and not in area 2. The error message states:
00: 298 Formatting error in the field COBL-KOSTL.
The costcenter is an active one, it is also in OKB9 linked to the cost account number.
Profitcenter is default.
What does this message mean, and how can I find out what I did wrong? I am absolutely sure I have made no typo when entering the costcenter in the mapping area of the searchstring.

How are you mapping these two in search string , could you tell me ..?..
Seems to be that cost center is mandatory field but the field is suppressed in GL.

It is really an strange error. I have researched and such an error happens when using the BAPI to release requisitions. I would suggest that you open a ticket for SAP so that someone can connect to your system.

Error creating compound field

I am trying to create a compound field Region which has two fields associated with it - country and region. I am using the DEBMDM06 idoc structure. I am trying to map LAND1 to the Country part of the Region field and REGIO to the region part of the Region field. When I right click in the Source Fields pane and select Create Compound field, I am able to select Region. But when I select it I get an error - 'Error creating compound field'
- 'Unable to retrieve source records'. What is causing this error?

I assume you are importing region look up flat for DEBMDM06.Considering that I cant understand why you want to have a compound field for region as it is supposed to be a look up flat.
To import look up flats:
1. Map the source fields to destination fields.
2. Map the values.
If at all you have redesigned your structure and made region as a qualified table, it is essential to map the individual non qualifiers first.
Once you have done that only then you will be allowed to form a compound field of your non qualifiers,make a clone of it and map the same followed by mapping the qualifiers.

Error writing to field point

I am trying to connect Field point FP-1001 by Ni PCI-485/2 multifuction adaptor . when i start the program by Ni scope i found " ERROR WRITING TO FIELD POINT".
i have checekd the pci card and its setting is quite Ok. the picture attached for referance. please help .

Thanks for yor response. I have tried again yesterday and rectify the probelm. The confilect was between PC port 485 confirgration setting and VISA configration setting. First i treid to change setting but failed to change then i again install all the program again and tried to change the setting.this time i got successs. i per you question the driver and PCI card was installed properly.

OLE or COM Processing error : Too many fields defined

i have created a excel workbook format in data integrator and defined the fields in it, when i tried to run a simple job extracting data from spreadsheet , i am getting following error OLE or COM Processing error : <Too many fields defined>.
all i have in the spreadsheet is 18 rows and 35 columns of data, can any help how to solve this problem. i have used query transform for extracting and loading the data in to a table

I have Solved the problem my friend suggestion.
The excel file i was trying to access is from WEBI report which was saved as .xls format and then then made some modifications to the spreadsheet.
What i did was i deleted the unused columns, i.e my spread sheet has data upto AQ column so i deleted remaining cells.
and while defining the excel file format i selected the option workbook and selected the proper sheet and in the other options i have chosen column range and also check the box ( extended range) now i could over come the error OLE or COM processing error

Error Message in Field Exit

Hi All,
We have a FM which throws an error message. When that is executed in report, it works fine and the error message is displayed.
We have implemented this FM in FIELD EXIT for PRCTR. But it is not throwing any message. We checked the data, it is fine.
Can any one know how to solve this??

Also you need to check whether this is assigned to any program/screen. As you know it will only trigger in the attached program.
