Error in layout section of adobe forms

Hi All,
I am getting the following error while i try to open the layout section in adobe forms.
"Error while opening document".
I reinstalled the adobe livecycle designer and also installed the new version of adobe i.e. adobe 9/9.1 and restarted my system but still the problem exists.
Can anybody help me out solve the problem at the earliest.

Hi Somya,
My problem gets resolved. What I done is simply restart the computer!! The Form Template task was hanged (even in task manager it was showing running). Once it gets killed, my layout editor is running again.
If still your problem persist, you set the priority of u2018FormDE~1.exeu2019 to highest. Close all other applications on your PC while trying to start Layout editor.
What I understood is, layout editor required lot of memory and hence we can try this above options!!

Hi,
There is a problem in opening the layout editor in adobe forms(T.code SFP).
Eventhough I have installed Adobe livecycle designer 8.0 and adobe acrobat reader 9.0.
It is showing the error as " The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation".
Suggest Me.

You need additional License to create SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe
Check the SAP Note No. 750784

Error calling web service from Adobe form

Hi Experts,
While calling web service form my adobe form, i was getting an error as below saying "Error attempting to read from the file" followed by the URL of my web service.
To create the above scenario i followed the following steps:
1. Create a Function module and create a web service from that function module.
2. Through SOAMANAGER, download the WSDL file for the generated web service.
3. Create an Adobe form with an empty Interface and create a new Data Connection on the form using the downloaded WSDL.
4. Generate this adobe form using an ABAP report.
Kindly extend help on this to figure out if I'm missing something!!!

Usage error while generating spool for adobe forms

I need to create a function module which would be called from a BRF. The function module must generate an adobe form and sent to the spool.
I get usage error at the call form function module level. could someone suggest if anything is missing in the below code.

MSS error while trying to access Adobe forms

Hi all
We are using EP 7 sp14. Delpoyed ESS/MSS BP SP 14. while trying to access certain functionalities in MSS which make use if standerd Adobe interactive forme through portal its coming up with the following error.
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized.
I had done few settings in Visual Admin in
1. server >services>web services security>web services clients>sap.com>tcwdpdfobject>com.sap.tc.webdynpro.adsproxy.Adsproxy*configPort_Document.
2. In default URL gave : http://portalserver:port/AdobeDocumentServices/Config
3. Authentication:Basic Authentication : gave username:ADSUSERpwd which is set in the backend.
4. In Deploy stopped and started the application.
Also in Destinations -> Created a new HTTP and set the URL pointing to the backend.
Is there any additional configuration to be set on the Portal side.

Error while configuring credential for Adobe Forms

Hi,
While configuring Credential i am getting an error as popup. But when I click on OK, I am able to see the .pfx file in the top.
Error Details:
An error occurred while updating the credential expiry for alias 'ReaderRights':
com.adobe.service.sap.configuration.ConfigurationException:Unable to load keystore from credential. Please ensure the password is correct.
We have not received any password from SAP, only there was one password to download the file.
After all I am trying print forms, not an interactive form. But when I deploy and run it shows error.
Error Details:

Still I have not got any solution for this. But my bigest problem right now is, I am using print form and there is no interactive feature. There is lot of forum posts where it is specified that, credentials is not required for print forms..... But when I try to deploy the Adobe application I get below error....

How to nest two or more tables in layout of an adobe form?

hi gurus,
i have the requirement to loop one line item table inside that item conditions table and
item shedule table...
ie say the item no ,description,quantity,uom,price will be printed for each line item and then
all the item conditions will be printed for that item and then the delivery schedule table then again all the three tables for the next line item and so on...
So i have to loop the item condition table and the schedule line table inside the main item table...
in the context part i have done this thing..how to implement this thing in the layout part..

i have 2 tables for a packing list.
they are nested in the context and the inner table with the positions has an where clause.
in the layout, i have defined a table with two headerlines one dataline and one datasection.
in the dataline i want to display some fields out of the outer table.
in the datasection, i defined a table with two datalines, in which i want to display fields of the inner table.
i did the bindings in every table, line and field as learned in BC480.
now i have the following problem.
if i set the trace level to 4 and watch the .XDP file, everything is right.
it looks like this:

1. I don´t understand why all entries of the inner table where displayed under the first item of the outer table - i set to the first tabel and to the second, loop at all entries.
2. i don´t understand where the items 50 and 40 are.
has anybody a suggestion?

UI Attributes - RFC error when displaying PCR with Adobe forms

Hello All,
I am receiving an UI Attributes/RFC error when I display a PCR that was created wth Life Cycle Designer. I copied it from a delivered SAP form. I am using the QISR1 Badi to process the form. I have three other forms that are working correctly.
If anyone can provide some direction into resolving this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I am getting the below error message when activate the adobe forms,and the message tells that to install a forms design tool,please tell me which tool in need to install and where i will get this tool.

Diagnosis
The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation.
Procedure
Make sure that you have the forms design tool installed on your desktop (the tool is part of the SAPGUI installation).

Adobe form layout version retrival

Hi Experts,
I have a problem in opening the adobe form layout.I am facing an error message error while opening the document.I checked in the production system same problem there also.
it is possbile to retrevive the older version of layout?
Adobe life cylce designer is installed properly. But i am able to open the layout of another adobe form in another development system.
Please suggest me on this.

I can reproduce this error consistently.. This is how: Install Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
As soon as I remove SQL 2008 the error went away. Adobe LiveCycle Designer was invoked via OLE2 interface. Apparently SQL Server 2008 (as in my case or some other applications in your case) modified the way OLE2 behaves and therefore causes this error.

Adobe Forms - Error after applying SP9

Hi all! We have installed Adobe Forms based on the version included in the NW 04 GA package. Printing a Adobe Form out of the ABAP Stack worked fine then (at least with the correct printer device). Now after applying SP09 for ABAP, J2EE and ADS Objects we always get the same error when testing the identical Adobe Form in transaction "SFP": FPRUNX-001
All the things stated in the ADS Config Guide are maintained (to my knowledge). Note "717568" didn't help either.
