Error in login to the EP Portal
Dear All,
I have restored EP(where sso is already configured) from production environment to test server. After i have install EHP1 successfully. I was able to login through configtool, VA
After that we have tried to configure SSO with new backend system. During this we have only exported the certificate from
restored EP system and tried to import it on backend system. We faced certificate analyse error.
After above process issue is i am not able to login in portal by any user id. Whenever i login with j2ee_admin username and password screen get refreshed and reappeared.
Secondly i am able to login in VA but session expires immediately after 20-30 seconds.
Now i am not even to portal to tell you currnet vesion SP in EP

Hi Akash,
It seems some changes happened in your keystoke adminsitration. Open the Visual Adminstration and restore the keystore Adminsitration.
1) Please ensure that you have the ticketkeystore set in the visual administrator.
Logon to visual admin-under server-services scroll down to keystorage and under runtime check if your TicketKeystore exists.
If it does, check for the expiry and if it does not, create one there.
2) In the config tool, when looking at the UME settings, look for anything with the "changed" flag and just make sure they look OK

Error while login to the portal
Hi All,
When I try to login to the portal as a user who dont have Super administrator role and have only "Everyone" role are getting the following error.
Error occurred while trying to access desktop: "portal_content/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.defaultDesktop". The object does not exist or you are not authorized to access it. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.
Log Off
I followed the steps which are given in the other threads as a solution but still facing the problem.
In my main rules we have given condition like If user = * then use the general default desktop and in the default desktop permissions that Everyone role has read permission . Even then the problem is not solving.
Can anybody help plzzzzz........
Thanks in advance.I'm not sure what you mean by "content admin" vs "system admin". Content admin is used mostly to navigate to the portal content studio where you can work with PCD objects and set permissions. You will not see all PCD objects here, so things like rules etc won't be visible.
System admin is a role. It has many functions, including the system landscape editor, where you can work with systems, and the portal dispay area, where you can work with display items, such as rules.
There is also a permission editor where you should be able to set permissions on any object.
So, what do you mean by asking if you should use content admin or syetm admin? -
Symptoms: You select an Azure RemoteApp collection in the Azure portal and then click Update. The result is a pop-up like the following:
Unexpected error
An expected error occurred. Check the management portal for related information, and then try again. If you continue to experience this problem, please contact support.Workaround:
Install the latest Azure PowerShell module (version 0.8.16 - you will encounter errors if you do not use at least this version)
Connect to your subscription
Use a cmdlet to update the collection:
“Update-AzureRemoteAppCollection -CollectionName <collection> -ImageName <image name>"
Resolution: A fix for this has been applied to the Azure site. -
I can login to the management portal, but when it starts populating the services, the page goes grayscale and I get the message "You
have signed out elsewhere. Click OK to log out from the management portal." with only an OK button. This is the same issue that others were having on Feb. 27th referenced in
this thread. Currently, this is only happening in my Chrome browser, but works in IE.Hi,
From the thread that you provided, we can see that this issue was fixed, up to now I haven't heard the same issue, based on your description, this issue was only happening in Chrome, I tested this on my local (create a new website in chrome), it worked as
normal, and I didn't reproduce this issue, so I think this may be not a bug in chrome, please try to clean session and cookie, or use another machine test it, if issue was still exist, please try to contact with support with detail information, Please
contact support team by creating a support ticket at
http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/support/contact/ Or if that doesn't work because you don't have an active subscription you will need to contact general customer support to have them create a support ticket for you

SSO for some SAP Apps, but forced login for the sensitive data application
We have R/3 4.7 (Enterprise), with EP 6.0 and Web AS 6.40. We have implemented Employee Self Service, as well as CRM, and some BW reports through EP 6.0. We have a Broadvision Portal that is on top of EP 6.0. In other words, the employees login to the Broadvision Portal, and authenticate against our Active Directory user store. Then they will choose the SAP apps listed above, which go through the SAP Portal (EP 6.0)
We want to allow SSO through EP when users choose either CRM, or BW reports, but we want to force a login when they choose ESS, since this data is more sensitive. The problem we have had is that when we turn on SSO, it allows the user through for all 3 SAP apps. My question is: How can we force a login for just ESS, but not for the other 2 apps.
Thanks.Rick,
I suppose, Eric meant Authentication Schemes ("authschemes") instead of security zones.
An authentication scheme is essentially a pointer to a JAAS logon stacks on the J2EE Engine plus a frontend ("login screen"). Authentication schemes are assigned numbers ("priorities"), the higher the number the more trustworthy the authentication of the underlying JAAS stack is regarded.
Example:
Let's assume you use the default authscheme "uidpwdlogon" for all your iviews. It features a password-based or SAP logon ticket-based logon and is assigned a value of 20. All iviews that have this authscheme set in its "authscheme" property are accessible for you without any further authentication once you have passed this scheme (or any other authscheme with a priority <= 20).
Now, you set one individual iview to use authscheme "certlogon", which requires an X.509 certificate and is valued "21". When accessing this iview, the portal will force a re-authentication (as 21>20).
By configuring custom authschemes and JAAS logon stacks you can easily implement your scenario. Simply ensure that all your ESS iviews will be using an authscheme with a value greater that your default value.

WSRP: Relative URL results in error code 404 in the consumer access.log
Hello everyone,
I deployed a JSF portlet(implemented in facelets) in Weblogic Server 10.3.2 (11g) [extended to support WSRP]. When the JSF portlet is consumed from a 'consumer' portal [Weblogic 10.3.2 portal], WSRP URL Rewrite results in error code 404 in the consumer portal access.log if the relative path (contextPath+resourcePath) of the javaScript resource is provided.
However, when the absolute path (protocol + serverName + port+ contextPath) of the JavaScript resource is provided, it works correctly:
works:
<script type="text/javascript" src="#{request.protocol}://#{request.serverName}:#{request.serverPort}#{request.contextPath}/resources/scripts/search/patientSearch.js"><!-- --></script>
Failed:
<script type="text/javascript" src="#{request.contextPath}/resources/scripts/search/patientSearch.js"><!-- --></script>
Any idea on what is causing the incorrect URL Rewrite?
The .xhtml and the portlet wsdl are listed below:

Prevent multiple logins of the same user in portal
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement wherein I am needed to ensure that whenever a user tries to login to the portal, I should check whether this user already has a session active. If yes, I should not allow this user to login again. As in this user should not be able to login by opening a new browser window or by trying to login from some other system.
However if there are no existing sessions for this user then allow her/him to log in.
Is there any way I can achieve this by changing any parameters in Visual Admin / Config Tool or do I have to implement this functionality by making modifications in the masthead .par file?
Best Regards,
Saurabh Vakil.Hi Saurabh,
you can do this by modifing the headerIview.jsp by using session variables.
when a user logs into portal you have to keep his details in a session and check them everytime when he tries to login again.if it is not the first time then throw and error message
you need to change the par file. code will be something like this
session.setAttribute("user",request.getUser());
if(session.getAttribute("user")!=null)
And for preventing from backend -
By changing the parameter - login/disable_multi_gui_login you can do this.
Check below sap link - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/22/41c43ac23cef2fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Situation is this.. was using 8.1.6 EE and Oracle Portal.. was able to get the Oracle Portal page up and after a while the application died.. this happened numerous times. Found in one of these forums that a bug existed (UTL_HTTP) and recommended going to 8.1.7 EE because of a patch. I migrated my 8.1.6 EE to 8.1.7 EE(made sure procedures & packages were valid). I'm able to bring up the Oracle Portal page but when I go to login I get this:
Error: You cannot login because an error occurred while retrieving the login URL. (WWC-41441)
Thoughts?Hi,
I ran ssodatan again and got the following error:
ERROR: Setting Login Server Partner App
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called
I then found out that the wwsec_sso_enabler_private in the SSO
schema is invalid and this was causing the above error. I tried
recompiling the package but got the following error:

Thanks in advance.First you install a JDK6 version after which you can install your WebLogic and Forms, Reports...
A step-by-step example is presented here: http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=7265
Look in the 'Install WebLogic' section. Note that you probably do not have to create a separate user,
also you can use HotSpot instead of JRockit. -
Error in some of the login modules
`Hi Experts,
I have deployed SPNEGO and when user trying to login to portal, it gives the error as taken from diagtoo(below)
Also would like to inform you that when I have configured the wizard, some how in VA for lots of the Components in Security
provider, I found lots of those components does have the value for the Evaluateticket, evaluateAssertion, basicpassword,
createticketlogon did not had any values to it.
The components which I have updated are,
1. sap.com.lcr*sld---> I have added for EvaulateTicketloginModule and EvaluateAssertion ticket module like
ume.configuration.active true
trustediss1 OU=J2EE,CN=ABC
trusteddn1 OU=J2EE,CN=ABC
trustedsys1 ABC,555
and for CreateTicketLoginModule
ume.configuration.active true
Like wise done for the following components also.
2. sap.com/sap.comtckmc.coll.room.wsdeplRoomABAPWS_config1
3. sap.com/sap.commonitoringsysteminfo*sap_monitoring( here only 3 login modules present. so updated accordingly
to the above mentioned values for whatever loginmodule was present)
4. jmx~spnego was not having the template as SPNEGO so selected SPNEGO template and updated whatever ( 5 login module accordingly)
5. sap.com/tcsecwssec~app*wssproc_cert
6. sap.com/tcsecwssec~app*wssproc_plain
7. sap.com/tcsecwssec~app*wssproc_ssl

Check /var/sadm/patch and see
if this patch 108875-07 is present, if you have a later patch than that then you might run into the above problem .. -
Hi,
I have a Portal install with the following specifications:
OS - Sun Solaris 2.6
DB - 8.1.7.0.0
iAS - 1.0.2.2
Portal - 3.0.9.0.7
It was working fine. Then the initjvm.sql that installs the JVM
in the database was run. This was done as part of the steps
required for enabling the UTL_SMTP. The script ran without any
errors but after that Portal Login was failing with the following
error:
You cannot login because an error occurred while retrieving the
login URL. (WWC-41441)
and there were no Java classes present in the Portal or SSO
schema. To overcome this error I reloaded the SSOHash classes to
Portal and SSO schemas and ran ssodatan. The script ran
successfully and I was able to login to the Portal after that.
However, if I login as the administrator and try to create or
edit users from the Administer tab of Portal, the same error
occurs again:
You cannot login because an error occurred while retrieving the
login URL. (WWC-41441)
I can programmatically add users using the Security APIs.
The wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table of the Portal schema
contains one row but the wwsec_enabler_config_info$ table of the
SSO Schema contains no rows.
This install of Portal is hosting a number of applications and as
such running opca again is not an option.
Any workaround for this?
Thanks,
RupeshHi,
I ran ssodatan again and got the following error:
ERROR: Setting Login Server Partner App
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called
I then found out that the wwsec_sso_enabler_private in the SSO
schema is invalid and this was causing the above error. I tried
recompiling the package but got the following error:
Errors for PACKAGE BODY WWSEC_SSO_ENABLER_PRIVATE:

The same package in the Portal schema is valid. Will an

the above instance solve this problem?
Thanks and Regards,
Rupesh
