Error in LSMW : Enter a Valid Value

Dear All,
I am Creating a LSMW for MM01 Transaction using Direct Batch Input Method
I got an error in LSMW while I start uploading saying "Enter a Valid Value" .
I am selecting 14 Views in a single LSMW.
Basic Data1 / Data2 , Purchasing , Foreign Trade : Import Data, MRP1,2,3 , General Plant 1/2 , Accounting 1 & 2 , Costing 1 & 2.
Can anybody tell me why I am getting that error.

Perform theses steps
- In LSMW read and convert only one entry from file
- go to SM35 -> select your session with that one entry
- select process , option process/foreground
- choose process
You will have that batch input run in the foreground, so you can see all the values entered to certain input fields and all the actions which take place in that screens. This way you should see which step excatly creates the error.

As I am trying to close a Project at CJ20N I have faced an error "Enter a valid value for the settlement type Message no. KD199"
I have tried to remove the settlement rules to one of its WBS element, but I could not. System shows the same message - KD1999.
Could you pls let me know how to resolve this to close the Project.

Hi Chandu,
I hope you have already setlted the project, since the system will not allow you to close the project unless there is Zero balance in the project. In this case, you can live without removing the settlement rule from any of the WBS element.
If there is any need to have this settlement rule removed, I suggest to change the settlemet profile to " Do not settle" and check once again. ( If there is any cost already posted, then repost the same to any other receiver.)

Query Designer: Error-msg: Please enter a valid value for charact 1FORMULA

Hello BI friends,
when I open a query in the Query Designer (or change query from BEx Analyzer) I get this message. There is no detail description for the message. After pressing the OK-button in the message I get an u201Demptyu201D Query Designer (to create a new or open a query).
The query contains some formulas, I know. I have checked the query by starting it via RSRT and debugging. There is only a warning (exception contains a non-numeric value).
But how can I check the formulas, exceptions or something else if the Query Designer doesnu2019t show the query definition?

Unfortunately I didn't mention yet that we have BI 7.0, but I'm using a 3.x query and 3.x QD. The query has not been transfered to 7.0 level (I hope it, since other colleagues work in the system too). How can I check the level (3.x / 7.0) of the query?
I have checked the table RSZRANGE, but I didn't find any row for the char. 1FORMULA, I have checked the fields IOBJNM, FACIOBJNM and ATTRINM. I also didn't find a row for RSRREPDIR-COMPUID = RSZRANGE-ELTUID. Did I search in a wrong way?
I have also checked the program COMPONENT_RESTORE, but I didn't start it for the IProv, comp type = REP and the special query, because I'm not sure what I'm doing there exactly (the program has no documentation).
Is it still the same way as you have described under these conditions?

Cannot create RFQ : Please enter a valid value

Hi all,
Kindly help me in my problem. I was trying to create a RFQ from my RFI. However, upon clicking on the "Create Follow-on Document", the error message "Please enter a valid value" appears. This message also appears when I tried changing the RFI. Please help me. Thanks!

Can anyone pls. help us figure out the problem with the newly created business partner master records? We get an "Enter a valid value" error message when the agent (user) tries to confirm the business partner in CIC. The user got the same error after she created another bp master record.
I created a third bp master record for the same customer but in another application server. I didn't get an error so I asked the agent to use this bp master record instead of the first 2. Unfortunately, the user got the abovementioned error again after editing the bp master record that I created in the original application server.

Encountering Error in webadi : "&Value is invalid. Enter a valid value for the Mapping column &Column"

We are having a custom WebADI, containing a field (Employee Name) which is a LOV.
The LOV has ID : Person ID, Meaning : Employee name, Description : Position Name.
There are multiple records with same Employee name but different Person ID.
If I select an Employee in the LOV which has multiple records (through different IDs), I am getting an error in WebADI:
"Enter a valid EMPLOYEE_NAME.
XX is invalid. Enter a valid value for the Mapping column EMPLOYEE_NAME"
The Query for the LOV is correct and is returning correct records.
Any pointers on this issue highly appreciated.

The problem could be with HR security profile attached to the responsibility from where you are launching the spreadsheet. Check it once.

Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData.Please enter a valid value for character

Hi All,
We have a mandotory prompt on 0FISCPER for Web I Report . The promt is present in the universe.
The query works fine in Dev , but in Quality it shows the following error
A database error occured. The database error text is: Error in MDDataSetBW.GetCellData. Please enter a valid value for characteristic 0FISCPER.. (WIS 10901)
The universe is on BW Query and the BW Query works fine.
Can someone please help on this

We have created report level prompts and facing this issue because we were selecting multiple values for prompts.
Its working fine for single selection. Is there any way to enable multi selection for the particular object at the BW end ?
Or else we have to create the prompts (Single selection) at the universe level.

Error in VA01: Message 00002 'Enter a valid value'

Hello Experts! When I try creating a sales order in VA01 after entering the order type and other mandatory information, I get the error message (no. 002 of class 00) saying 'Enter a valid value'. When I searched other threads in SCN with the same message, I found that this is probably because of authorizations or incorrect values in user parameters. I executed SU53 immediately after the message was issued and found that the check was successful. I even checked the profile parameters for my user ID and everything seems perfect. In fact, I was able to create sales orders until two days earlier and no user settings were changed since then. I tried creating orders from other user IDs and the same message is issued.

Weve an BI 7.0 System with Patch Level SP12 which is previously connected to an NW 7.0 Portal System + BI Java that has SP13 installed.
Were able to create Queries and Web Templates via Query Builder and WAD for BI 7.0 and publish to portal.
Recently, weve installed a new NW 7.0 Portal + BI Java with same package level. We made the configurations for Bex via Template Installer and everything is ok.
Our reports has a 0FISCPER characteristics and when we run the reports in new portal, it displays the report. But when we want to change period and click the button created to set period, a popup opens and errors like "for characteristic 0FISCPER Please enter a valid value " displayed on popup.

When we change BIs Portal back to old one by changing the RSPOR_T_PORTAL table (default portal), it still works there.

FV50-- Editing Option Error "Enter a valid value" Message 00002

Hello FI experts,
An user is trying to execute a tcode FV50 and clicking "Editing Options" to make changes to "Doc.Type option" from "Document type hidden" to "Enter with short name" under " Special functions for single screen transactions" section.
When the user clicks SAVE button in "Accounting Editing options" screen, user is getting the the error message "Enter a valid value".
Can anyone tell me how to change this option and resolve this error?
There are users they are successfully able to change it and I am even able to change the document type options without encountering this error.
Any help on this is much appreciated!

Error message F5901-Enter Business Place Value

Hello Friends and experts,
I am trying to enter a cross company code vendor invoice posting (vendor line in one company and all the expense lines in multiple co.cds). When I try to post the entry I am getting error message F5901 - Enter Business Place Value.
The error is coming after we have upgraded to ECC 6.0 EHP5 from ECC 5.0 SP13.
I have checked the customizing. We have not activated Business Place functionality for any country in our system.
I did not even find any SAP note in this regards.
Does someone has any clue on what may be wrong and how to fix it?

Hi Tanmay,
You might have created a validation rule for Business place in order to track the TDS as per Business place. Please check it in GGB0 and OB28 and input the Business place at transaction level if needed.

Error messege- Please enter a valid date in Background Job

Hi all,
background job which is scheduled in sm37 is giving error for dated 01.01.2009 to 30.01.2009.
But before 31.12.2008 it was working fine
error messege-
This is happening in Production and developement client.
While running the report it showing the error messege- Please enter a valid date
One function module is used in the report for geting fiscal year from date.
it is showing the following error messege for perticular date range- 01.01.2009 to 30.01.2009.

Hi,
Did you put the date fields to be dynamic in your variant? i.e if in your variant you specified date range of last year, this will not work for this year and eventually give you an error message that the date is not valid...

Non Cat Requisition gives error: "contract number - select a valid value"

Hi Guys
I wonder if you can help me please. After we've loaded these 3 patches:(7427952,6987692,6813613) when we create a NonCatalog Requisition and select a contract number with less than 4 characters, we get the following error: "contract number - select a valid value". But when we select a contract with more than 4 characters, it works fine. So in other words, it only takes contracts with 4 or more characters. Has anyone encountered this problem? Something has been changed by the patches, but we can't figure out what exactly. Any help would be appreciated.

SM30: "Enter a Valid Value" Issue?

When I do an SM30 to maintain a table, the cursor jumps to a field, a yes or no field, and says enter a valid value. When I cjheck the possible values for this it is N or Y, exactly like is in the field? I am not sure what SAP is giving me the message for.

How is the yes/no field declared in the table? Typically a yes/no or true/false field is set as a "X" for true or yes, " " for false or no.

MSA - creating/changing activity for bp error : enter a valid value for bp

Hello experts,
while using msa with activites, on one client for one bp
I cannot create/change an activity: error:
insert a valid value for bp
This happens only for one bp on this client,
on other clients this bp works fine.
When I look in old activites for this bp, there in activity -> detail
the field bp (hyper link) is not filled.
I think there is a problem with the incorrect bp, but in which tables
can search for this ?

Hi,
I assume that the BP is present in table smokna1 but not available in smokna1sht (anymore).
When creating an activity the BP selection is based on smokna1, but the field/property validation is based on smokna1sht (see error message).
But unfortunately I don't have any idea for now how to download this particular record to this site...
