Error in material creation

Dear all,
I am using SAP 4.7,I am creating material in MM01 with material type is Trading goods. In sales org1 tab there was not shown in tax data column,there was any other settings required?

For Material creation there are 2 option one is internal & exteranl No. range defined hope you syste mis comfigured with "ZSAN"
External No. Range for Creation of Material So use the "ZSAN0001" for Creation of material.
Else
You can define the Material Master Number Range in transaction MMNR.
Click the button Groups to Maintain the Material Type Grouping.
Below are those material type that have no number range groups.
To assign a group, in the not assigned group, select the Material Type you want to group.
Then tick the Group you want to assign and click the menu path Edit -> Assign Element Group.
From the same screen, if you want a new number range intervals, click Group -> Insert Group.
If you decided to used an external number range, goto transaction OMS2 and
tick the field External no. assignment w/o check.

Error during material creation

Dear Experts ,
I am trying to create a material with KMAT material type & a particular industry sector .
but i am getting a message " Operation not possible (e.g. incorrect material type or plant)"
Message no. M3327
Diagnosis
It is not possible to access the user department required because not all of the maintenance statuses have been entered for the plant in Customizing, and/or for the material type. For example, if the maintenance status D (material requirements planning) is missing for a plant, all MRP screens are deactivated for this plant.
Procedure
Check the setting for the field Maintenance status in Customizing for the Material Master in Define reference for plant-specific field + screen selection. You can display the meaning of the maintenance statuses by displaying the possible entries.
How do i go about it ??

Dear,
If the required views are not maintained this message will appear.
Check the details in the Transaction: OMS2.
Select the relevant Views and save, then only you can proceed further with the Material Master.
It may be possible that some one must have deactivated the SAP Standard VIews selection in OMS2.
Also check with transactions: OMSA, OMS3, OMS9 & OMSR.

Error at "material Creation"

Hi Guys!
I am unable to understand why the system is taking the 'material type' before a material key while creating a material. Ex: FERTcomputer
VERPbag. etc
but if i am creating a material with out entering a discription at 'material' field then it is generating a numeric no' as usual.

The MMR number range is done in t.code MMNR
Just click on the button groups to maintain the Material type grouping
Below are those material type that have no number range groups.

Two ways of assigning number range :
Internal number assignment :
In this case, a number within the number range interval allowed is assigned by the SAP R/3 System.
External number assignment :
user assigns a number within the number range interval allowed. You can define the intervals for external number assignment numerically and alphanumerically.
If you assign just one material type to a group, you can define both an internal and an external number range interval for the material type.
If you group together more than one material type, you can define an internal and an external number range interval here too. This allows several material types to have the same number range intervals.

Error in pipeline material creation

we want to create one pipeline material as per our new requirement for showing gas consumption.during material creation with mat type PIPE, it's showing an error:The field Profit Center is defined as a required field; it does not contain
an entry.
Procedure
If the field is the material group or unit of weight, and the field is not ready for input, check whether the material is locked. If it is locked, you cannot extend the Purchasing view or the Sales view. If either of these views needs to be extended, the material must first be unlocked. This can be done only by a user with special authorization.

In your client if Profit center accounting(PCA) is activated ,then you need to maintain the Profit center for the material.
Option 1: goto OMS2, got details of pipleine material & select the Costing View of the material.
Now goto MM01 in creation of pipeline material & maintain the profit center in Cotsing 1 View.
Deactivating the field from mandatory to optional will not serve your purpose as PCA will get affected.

Throw error during PO creation if a material is not extended to storage loc

Hi,
Users require for SAP to throw an error during PO creation if a material is not extended to the storage location that is entered on the PO.
Presently it neither gives warning or error message.
Please advise.

SAP does not validate that, if you want it, then you have to do such check in a user exit.
SAP can be customized to create the material master storage location segment itself when posting the goods receipt, so it is not necessary to check this in the PO.
Further this design speeds up the process, you can already order before others have finished the material master maintenance.

Error in PR creation in material code?

hii experts,
While creating PR i m getting error , the material length is not set ..etc??
Becas in my case i have created material master and it has given a number also for material .
The same material while using in PR creartion its not allowing me ??
How i can rectify this ??

Check Manufacturer Part Number activated or not? Also check OMSL t.code for Lexicographical & Leading zeros section.

Error while inbound creation for return sales order

Hi all,
         We are in the process of creating return sales order for invoice cancelation.
         We have created return sales order.
         we have made settings for automatic inbound creation.
         While creating inbound delivery system giving following error,
<b>Material cannot be used for inbound delivery because QM is active.</b>

Error while delivery creation

hi,
i am getting an error while delivery creation for qty 2.The error is "Only 0 EA of material xxxx available".
The schedule line cat in this case is cp and avalibility check is carried out and confirmed qty is given on some date ahead.
User then runs the MRP and PR is created .
Then the user creates a PO but not with ref to the PR created from above,instead the user creates a SO assigned PO and then creates GR which is SO assigned.
Now when the user is trying to create delivery the erroe is "Only 0 EA of material xxxx available".
Pl tell me why am i getting this error inspite of having the qty against the SO?
Is it because a PR is generated from the MRP run for tht order and we have no GR agaist tht PR?Where do u i check this setting

In SAP there is no stock available for that material. That is the reason it is showing that message..
Please check MMBE t.code stock overview for that material. I think sales order scheduleline date is showing some other date.becuase today there is no stock so u will be not able to create any delvery. So please create delivery only on confirmed schdulines date....
Other wise do stock posting and then do availability check then try to create delivery...

Check each of the following :
the spelling of the table or view name.
that a view is not specified where a table is required.
that an existing table or view name exists.
Contact the database administrator if the table needs to be created or if user or application privileges are required to access the table.
Also, if attempting to access a table or view in another schema, make certain the correct schema is referenced and that access to the object is granted.

UOM error in Material master.

When we log on to Spanish language, we are getting error in material master for Unit of measure, that the unit of measure has not been created in the language ES. But same UOM has configured in EN language and its working fine for material, while in Spanish language it appear as *** with error details,

Extactly you are right..you got to Logon in Languange ES and create the required UOM in t-code CUNI...
this shuld solve the issue..try and revrt back..

Error during PO creation "Total BED % rate exceeds 100 % "

Hi.
Its concerned to Indian Excice.
Error during the creation of PO is " Total BED % rate exceeds 100 % " ,
( Message no. 8I453).
And you pls note in J1ID its 16% maintained for that perticular chapter id and its 100% for BED in tax code.
Can you pls tell me the reason for this error.

362 is not maintained for BASB,but its maintained for condition type JMO1(IN:A/P BED Deductable) & JMO2(IN: A/P BED non deduct )in <b>AltCTy</b> field.
And For BASB 605 is maintained in the field AltCBV.
Can you Pls explain the significance of this alternative calculation type.

Material creation process in SRM-MDM

Dear All,
I am new to SRM. Please correct me about material creation procedure in SRM if I am wrong:
Normally in classic/extended classic scenario, material first created in MM and then it replicated to SRM. Base on configuration setting for number range, system either create the product ID same as material number number in SRM when it replicated into SRM. In final steps, the product information will upload into MDM either XI integration or manually via excel upload.
My question:
+ Is it possible to automatic create product without XI via T.Code - MDMGX in MDM.
+ If the replicated product ID of SRM is different then MM material number, which number we should consider for creating product
MDM.

Hi Jennifer,
Answer1) You can only replicate Product Groups, Currencies and Unit of Measures through t-code MDMGX. XI/PI is required for Contract and Product Catalogs.
Answer 2) If the replicated product ID of SRM is different then MM material number, you should enter MM material number and in External Web Service Configuration for that internal catalog, uncheck "Do not check Product" indicator so that SRM will not check the Product ID and when item goes to backend system, it will have correct MM material number.
