Error in My Settings - Homepage

In "My Settings" I'm trying to change the contents of 'Homepage'
The system complains that my "Homepage is too long - a max of 80 characters is allowed"
Actually, the total characters I'm attempting to enter is 43.
A bug?

Thanks to that Tuttle guy:
The error message is erroneous in that you can type up to 80 characters into the Homepage field, whereas allowable URIs can contain 35 characters at maximum.
The message should say: Homepage is too long - a max of 35 characters is allowed.

when I use above query I am able to update the region perfectly.
But when I comment last WHERE CONDITION I am getting above problem.
What could be the possilbe reason for this?

Error on the ESS homepage of users

Hi All,
I am encountering following error in the ESS homepage of users in Development.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: ComponentUsage(FPMConfigurationUsage): Active component must exist when getting interface controller. (Hint: Have you forgotten to create it with createComponent()? Should the lifecycle control of the component usage be "createOnDemand"?
Could you please suggest, what measures should be taken to overcome this problem

Check in the Tcode, HRUSER if the pernr's have been assigned to the users. Also, check the backend authorizations being assigned to the users.

Error Saving Localized Settings mean?

In the last month or so, I have received the following message when trying to open videos on the web and even my local weather forecast:
"Error Saving Localized Settings
Application is unable to access your file system "
I get it in Safari (6.0.5) as well as Firefox.
What does it mean?

Good morning:
This is not a new problem as evidenced by some web blogs going back three years.
It started when I disabled Java Script......the victim of a lot of cautionary items on its security issues.
Then odd things wouldn't play such as the hour-by-hour temperature display on a local TV station's site.
And occasional video links off reputable news sites. But not Youtube. Safari and Firefox are both afflicted.
I enabled Java, repaired disk permissions (which I do on a regural basis) plus a few other tricks I know.
Upgrades, etc., all up to date.
No luck.
I have had three I-Macs over 13 years and Apple Care for 12 of those years. Gawd how I miss 'em!

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

"Error while reading settings" is all my Server says....great product....never had this
in the last five years with my Windows Home Server.

Error Reading DNS Settings

Hey folks, I'm having some odd problems with DNS. Over the weekend I added a second ML server to my network. I changed the hostname on my original server from my FQDN to server1.domain.com.
When I changed the hostname, the server created a new zone with a nameserver and machine record. I deleted those and added the proper information to my domain.com zone. I setup a secondary zone on my second server and everything was peachy. Now today I went in to change a CNAME record and DNS is all hosed up. In console it says it cannot load the zone file from db.domain.com.
I'm getting these errors:

So it would appear that I entered something wrong but when I open my db.domain.com file in /var/named it looks fine.
Any thoughts?

Hi Mplsee08, just a heads up to you and others that this also rectified this symptom on a clients OS X Server V.4 just recently.
I had what seems a corrupt db.domain.name file in /library/server/named
for this reading, I did the following
stopped the DNS on that server where the Server.app was seeing correct settings
renamed (in my case three primary zones)
warwick$ ls -1 /library/server/named
db.1.0.10.in-addr.arpa
db.2.0.10.in-addr.arpa
db.mydomain01.production
db.mydomain02.studio
db.myredirect03.com
localhost.zone
named.ca
named.conf
named.local
rndc.key
zzz_db.mydomain01.production
zzzz_db.mydomain02.studio
zzzz_db.myredirect03.com
start the DNS and reviewed the UI where all reserve DNS records were now available
stopped DNS, rename each of the 3 primary zone back to original, each time starting the DNS until I could see which one was corrupt.
manually added those Machine Records back for that zone using the Server.app/DNS UI

Lately whenever I open iTunes, I get that same error message. At the end of the message it suggests re-installing iTunes, but this didn't correct the error. I looked up the problem on the help and support website and found several articles describing the error and the known possible causes. The problem is since there is more than one cause, there is more than one soulution. I'm not sure about the correct action to take. Hi Urvashi,
Please check the following in your system:
- Go to PE03
- feature 'WPROC'
- select 'Attributes'
- press 'Display'
- press 'Struct.'
- there you will find the Basic information 'Passing type'
This must be set to '2' (Table Transfer). If this is set
to '1' i.e. please change this entry.

I have a client who is getting the above error when attempting to change delegate permissions in Outlook 2010.
She is also getting this error when she tries to remove a delegate.
I have tried recreating her mail profile.
I have also tried kb2593557. The auto fix didn't work at all and the registry fix only removes the error message and not the problem. This client would like to be able to edit her delegate permissions.
She is on Exchange 2010
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I was getting the error "The macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your Macro security settings" and gives me the suggestion when I click the Show Help button below. I tried the suggestion but was still getting the error.

This message can appear if:
The macro was deleted from the template.
The template was not loaded or referenced in the Templates and Add-ins command.
The macro was turned off by the macro security settings of your system.
If the macro security settings are not allowing the macro to run, you should confirm the origin of the macro to be sure that it can be trusted (contact the developer or the source for the macro). You can then temporarily enable all macros by using the following procedure.
Click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options, and then click Trust Center.
Click Macro Settings.
Under Macro Settings, click Enable all macros.
NOTE: Be sure to change this option back to its original setting after you have run the macro.
If the macro is not accessible because the template is not loaded, click the Microsoft Office Button, click Word Options, and then click Add-Ins. At the bottom of the Add-Ins pane, select Templates from the Manage drop down list, and then click Go. In the Templates and Add-ins dialog box, click either Attach or Add. I just had the same issue on MS 2010 (and I've been using publisher for years). I loaded a ton of office patches. metalink note has the solutions: 1450347.1
for me personall it was a combo of removing the exd file and then running the Regsvr32 command they posted.

Diagnosis
The system settings (SE06 and SCC4) are such that you cannot make any changes to this table in this client

Time capsule 'error occurred reading settings'

I was trying to configure 'back to my Mac' when I lost my Time Capsule. Have now got most systems OK and the Airport Utility window shows that I am connected to the internet; however it states 'no base stations found, searching'; on 'other wi-fi devices' it shows my time capsule but when I click on it a window starts up with 'reading settings' then after a while another window shows ' error occurred while reading the configurations.' The only button I have to press is 'OK' then nothing happens and it leaves the light on the time capsule flashing yellow. What now? Appreciate any help.

Redo the setup of the TC in full isolation from the network.
Ethernet to a computer and lan port on the TC. turn wireless off on the computer and nothing else in the TC.
Do factory reset and start again.
For BTMM to work it has to be main router in the network.. this can be difficult if you have a modem router that cannot be bridged. Tell us exactly what equipment you have.. modem and routers.
The Factory Reset.
Power down the TC.
Hold in reset. and keep holding it in. Be Gentle! It is a tiny surface mount switch with a plastic lever.. Attempting to push it out the other side of the TC will not make the switch turn on better.
(I fix TC and have several reset levers bent over and jammed or broken off).
Power on the TC.. remember with the reset held in.. this needs three arms.. a friend or power switch you can get to with your feet..
Keep holding in reset for about 10sec until the front LED flashes rapidly.
Release reset and wait .. the boot will be slow as it deletes previous setting.. only from router side and pulls out the factory defaults. No files are deleted on the hard disk.. but the name of the TC may change.
